American Kat McCoy is settling in, running her late aunt's British B&B, dating the local constable, and ducking a cooking lesson from the innkeeper down the street. Life would be perfect except for a pesky villager who is trying to lay claim to four valuable Beatrix Potter illustrations. When the pesky man is killed just feet from Kat, she lands atop the suspect list. When she and her friends try to unmask the killer, they discover everyone has a secret -- and a motive. Can they clear Kat's name and make it back to the village before teatime?
I couldn’t’ve asked for a better finish to this series. I’m a little sad it’s over, but since there hasn’t been a new book in three years, I’m assuming this was the last because it did an excellent job of wrapping things up at the end. I loved that in the showdown some help came from an unlikely source and I sure liked what that source did to the perp! A perfect ending of food and fellowship was enjoyed by Kat and all her friends. I plan to explore the author’s other cozy mystery series soon.
