The Guards' story is told using several eyewitness accounts, both published and unpublished, making use of the extensive archives of the three regiments of Guards that served in the Crimea, the Grenadier Guards, the Coldstream Guards and the Scots Fusilier Guards. The result is an original and revealing record of a difficult, bloody and often controversial campaign.
