Forced into marriage to her abuser Akshay, Naila Kapoor is relieved when he stands her up at the mandap. Except the wedding does go ahead, just with a different groom, one whom Naila can truly love - Aadhyaman Dubey, who steps in to save the day

But are her problems over? Naila barely begins to hope for a happily ever after with Aadi before her world turns murky again. When the newly married couple receives a ghastly wedding gift, Naila realises that her life has not gotten better but worse. Moreover, Naila's path starts to be littered with a trail of bloody and broken bodies, and that's when she's forced to confront a deadly truth. Someone loves her enough to hate everyone around her. And that someone is now clearing the field.

Aadhyaman on the other hand is determined to prove to his parents that he's a good soon, and yet, they seem to only want Akshay, not him. While Aadi tries to sort through the mess in his family, he's aware that there's one person who is beginning to mean the world to him, even though he still doesn't remember her fully. It's his wife, Naila, whom he married to save the day, and yet, he's aware they have a deeper connection, one he's happy to explore. Until things begin to go wrong for them, all too soon.

Will Naila and Aadhyaman be able to unmask the killer before the final card is played? Or will their budding love story die a bloody death?

Torn by Anna C Book Review by Njkinny
Read my complete Review and Book Quotes on Njkinny's Blog.

Torn by Anna C is the second book in the “Heartbreaker Series” that continues the story of Naila and Aadhyaman. I adored the first book, “Broken” and eagerly grabbed this book as soon as it released.

I sat on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, totally engrossed as I read “Broken“. And then was left itching to read the next part. So, when Torn by Anna C got released, I jumped to read it.

Another nail biting dark thriller, Naila and Aadi’s happiness hangs in the balance as new secrets emerge. With the sadistic, and dangerous killer still obsessed with Naila, the twists just kept coming. And I sat unable to put the book down all through.

This is a novel that kept surprising me. Just when I thought everything was coming to a close, the author threw another plot twist.

I stayed emotionally and mentally captivated by this story. And now I am unable to wait even a second to read the next part!

All in all, if you are okay with gore, violence, and suicide, and enjoyed Verity by Colleen Hoover then this is the book for you. I am so glad I found Anna C’s books, especially “Heartbreaker series”. Naila and Aadi’s story has me totally invested, and I am rooting for their happily-ever-after.

So, 4.5 out of 5 stars to this edgy dark romantic thriller that will suck you in and then leave you wanting more. Njkinny recommends this stunning new book to all dark romance and thriller lovers above the age of eighteen.

Book: Torn: A Dark Thriller Romance (Heartbreaker Book 2)
Author: Anna C
Formate: Kindle version
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟

After reading the first one in the series which ends on a cliffhanger was already in my head to date and now the second one has made me go crazy, what a lovely series and I am already on the edge for the third one in the series.

Naila was happy that he is not married to the man who abused him and she hated him a lot. But luckily she is married to the one she loved with her heart and soul.

Adi is equally happy to be married to the love of his life and for the new beginning. But life is not always the path of flowers, there are more thrones.

The uneven path began by receiving the parcel which had something nobody could imagine, which was enough to give them nightmares and dread full feelings for life. Adi is managing his parents and Naila with equal love and attention while simultaneously trying to solve the mystery of the parcel.

Things got worst when they found something more unhuman and deadly in their garden which shook their entire family. Things are getting worst for them and twist and turns are making me go crazy.

Yes, very intrigued isn't it?? The author has maintained a beautiful flow of the story which will make you jump, shout and go numb at the same time, also throughout the story, you will be on the edge and will have a nail-biting experience.

The way the protagonist and antagonist are portrayed blew my mind. Every step there was a circumstance when you want to dive into the story to get to the end. That's how amazing the story has been scripted.

Now it's like I need a third one pretty soon to calm my nerves and curiosity. Big applause to the author for this mind-blowing series.
