If you have ever read a book by T Styles, you know how her pen moves. An Ugly Girl's Diary is different. Much lighter but just as jaw dropping as we expect from this amazing author.
Literally I felt for Tye this whole book and then Bam! Yup she did that. And as soon as I thought it, she came with the follow up confirming my thoughts. Tye is enthralled in a diary that he found. So much so that he is looking at life and others around him differently. This diary is such an important factor that you kinda glad that it doesn't have that usual T Styles Twisted Behavior. This book right here shows just how much T's pen has developed in all the years I've been reading her work. She looked at the box she was supposed to be in and said not tuhday! These characters were refreshing and dramatic. I loved it!

This book was really good from the first page to the last. I knew Tye was something else from the beginning mister untouchable. Treated people like they were beneath him. I knew once he got that diary secrets would come out and hit people in the face. I knew that diary was going to relive the truth and baby did it.

This book was very interesting. To know your prey so well and be able to execute your revenge had to have been an amazing feeling for Courtney. Tye had no clue that his past would come around and bite him in the backside that way. I don’t see how there is a sequel, maybe it is another “Ugly Girl’s” story. But let me buckle up for book two.

One day I was perusing Goodreads and Amazon for books I might be interested in reading. For some odd reason, this book kept coming up on my radar. It was one of those “because you read, blah, blah, blah, you might try this” speech. Immediately I’m thinking this isn’t the type of book I’d normally read, but what the hell. It’s a book and why not. Let me tell you something, I was shocked at how good this book was. I absolutely loved it!
What first grabbed me was the cover and then the title. I love diaries. I’ve been keeping diaries and journals throughout every phase of my life and it’s so awesome to go back and see where my mindset was at those ages and to see how much I’ve matured as a woman. It’s my true safe space for me to be me, so when I read the synopsis of this book, I was already sold.
Tye Gates was a newly entrepreneur living the life along side his best friend who was co-owner. Life couldn’t get any better for Tye. He was celebrating with his fiancé, family and friends. Even though life was good for Tye, he had a weakness. Women!
He saw one of the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes upon and he just had to have her. The two struck up a conversation and the next thing you know, they’re in a back alley getting it on. Once their brief sexual encounter was over, the mystery woman excused herself to go find a bathroom and promised she’d be right back. Tye sat and sat and sat waiting for this woman and she never returned. He took her purse and left it in the alley and got back in his car and headed back to his restaurant before his fiancé realized he was gone for too long.
When he checks his car to make sure there wasn’t any evidence of what he had done, he noticed a book lying on the floor. He picks it up and thumbs through and immediately realizes the woman he just sexed up left a diary behind. In any other story, this might not have worked, but Tye was an avid reader so having this diary was a true gift.
Once he got time to sit and begin reading it, the story of the woman inside had him so spent, he couldn’t get enough. His every waking thought was of the woman who described herself as ugly. He wanted to know her.
Suffice to say, the diary became a wedge between Tye’s reality and what he wanted to imagine were possibilities. As the reader continues on Tye’s journey, what soon becomes apparent is that the more Tye read about this ugly woman, there were things that felt too familiar, and he wasn’t sure as to why?
OMG! I could not get enough of this book! I’ve never read this author before, but she truly held my interest and captivated me. Wow! What a fun story to read and it was refreshing having the protagonist be male and a reader. That’s not something you read about all the time.
This story is short and hot. The characters were fire! 🔥🔥🔥

When this book first started and Tye dipped out of him and Joanne engagement party to cheat with a complete stranger. I was shaking my head. Finding a diary in his car left him confused but intrigued. Tye had got so into reading the pages in that diary. That it distracted him to what was going on around him. Logan was supposed to be Tye best friend but I saw him for the snake he was. Logan was always inserting himself in Joanne and Tye relationship. It was easy to figure out that Joanna and Logan was creeping. I knew Tye and Joanne relationship wasn't going to work before he found out she was cheating with his friend. Joanna also kept running to her father putting him in their business every time her and Tye got into. While all this is going on. Tye is dealing with the toxic relationship between his alcoholic mother and teenage sister, he have Run threatening him for money he owe him, as well as dealing with a piss poor father. Throughout all the drama in his life. Tye realized his past have came back to haunt him. Reading the diary open his eyes when he realized the story being told was about him. I'm not mad at Courtney returning to get revenge after all she dealt with.

Based in Baltimore, Tye is set up to marry the wonderful Joanne, all while just opening a new restaurant, trying to keep his mama & sister from killing each other, AND owing Mr. Run Mitchel over 100k. After cheating on his fiancé on opening night, he stumbles upon the “ugly girl’s diary”. Who is this “ugly girl” though? And why is he so obsessed with her diary?
First and foremost, Tye is a DICK. I do not like him at all, but surprisingly, he didn’t stop me from reading this book. I was almost rooting for his downfall because i was happy when . I did feel bad for him when . But he pretty much deserved it all because he’s a cheating, lying, selfish ass loser, in my eyes anyways. But just as much as Tye, I, too, wanted to know who this diary belonged to.
And then I found out.. and wow, what a great book. I literally read it in 24 hours. I can’t wait to see the second book.

One thing about it, T. Styles is gonna throw every curveball in her possession at you. Then she’s gonna find some more buried in a couch or in the lint trap on the dryer. She’s gonna give ‘em all to ya! This book was wild! A twisted, tangled web. I was saying “Omg” to myself over & over. The plot, story and characters were so well developed. I’m still kinda stuck. I’m a person that appreciates stand-alone books and loves when an author doesn’t drag a story out in a long series and with this I wanted just a little bit more. This is a fast paced, suspense filled, page turning thriller. And I loved every single moment of it.

Amazing as always
Once again I have been given the opportunity to read a tale written by my absolute favorite T Styles. This story was truly a Mystery. It took me a couple of tries to get into it. Once i got over myself it was one hell of a read. The characters were well developed. ( hated the finance). And as usual I learned something new. ( Don’t get caught cheating in another country, you’ll be whipped). Five stars lady. Job well done. can’t wait to see what else comes back to bite Tye the fly guy.

Okay so now that I’m done I can honestly say this was worth the read. Tye meets a random woman who leaves a diary in his car one night. It didn’t make sense to me at first but it made sense at the end. The book alternates between the journal entries and Tye’s real life. There are parts that happen that won’t make sense but wait till the end it all ties together and let’s say I was not expecting that ending, all I say is Revenge is a dish best served cold 🥶!!!

I won’t reveal anything but honestly read the book. The girl in the diary goes through so much stuff, at one point I’m like “girllll if you don’t punch this person in the face”.
But after finishing the book you see everything comes together and explains the reason for the whole thing

Idk if I should say this is brilliant or a masterpiece. Either way this was sooooo good. I haven’t read anything like it. T. Styles always know how to twist a story you won’t see what’s coming. This is definitely a journey and worth the ride. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. Would definitely recommend.

Wow
One of the most intriguing stories I’ve read all year! The way the book was wrote from different perspectives it was like he went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out his own life! I’m so drawn to the way the story was told from both his perspective and the book and how they tied into one another! Great story!

A Good Read…..
A good read; a complete page turner. There were very funny and sad moments. I had to reread a few pages to make sure I was processing the events. The story line also became a little complex & confusing towards the end but Lady T. Styles is one of my favorite authoress and she never disappoint.

I'm pleasantly surprised by this read. T. Styles reads have been mostly miss for me. But this one was very engaging. It pulls you in from the beginning.
There's a lot that wasn't said and, the characters weren't fully fleshed out.
But the mystery of who wrote the diary and how Tye tied in kept me reading.

my Review
This book was really good but kind of confusing. I try to keep up with the story book for a while I got a loss but by the end of the story I was brought up to speed. I saw with the author was trying to prove but again it just kind of cooking for me. Still a good mood will recommend it for my friends.

This was an amazing read. Bad people don’t always get away with doing people dirty! At first I was confused but once I understood who wrote the diary it all made sense. I loved that it was two separate story lines at once (Tye’s story and the diary) that tied together eloquently at the end. Great writing and ending!!

Exciting and totally unexpected.
First time I read a book by this author. I was intrigued by the title and I'm glad I read it. The story totally captured my imagination from the beginning to the end. For those who like mystery, drama,sex and urban fiction, this is a book you should read.

I finished this book in a few hours! I could not put it down to save my life. This book was sooooo good n intriguing. I love the twists n at one point towards the end kinda I already knew the twist but still suprised me wit the ending.. a great read u do not miss 🙏🏾🫶🏿

Wow!!
Absolutely Amazing! I think I was more into the diary then Tye was lol. I couldn't put the book down! It was so good! The diary changed him but it was too late.. He messed up and had to pay for his mistakes! Ugly Girl name should be Karma!! She was very patient and planned her revenge to the T!! Moral of the story, treat people with respect!

This was so suspenseful like I was just waiting to see who the ugly girl was and the way that it all came about had me just totally through off I appreciate a good suspense I hate that Tye did t have a chance to get it together you could tell he seemed genuinely remorseful loved the characters

Full of drama
I was entertained from beginning to end even though I didn’t get Tye’s obsession with the diary/book. When the plot twist was revealed, the diary fascination still felt unbelievable. With that being said, the story was filled with drama that made me finish it, and the character were interesting. The ending wrapped up well.

This is a must read…
I’m glad to be a twisted baby because this was on point. All I can say this was a roller coaster ride that was bumpy and smooth at the end.Tye had his hands full but I was surprised at who he really was. That diary was off the hook. I loved all of it….

Wow I couldn't believe how green and vulnerable she was, and how she let so many people take advantage of her. I was so amazed at how it ended with him in jail finally and her out and on top, excellent story.

This book was exactly what I expected. Fireeeeeee. I was so engrossed I was almost late for work today. I wanted to feel bad for Joanne but she was a damn mess with her crazy daddy. Tye……I wasn’t expecting that twist and neither was he.

Wow What a Story!
I was confused in the beginning but Wow! This story was good and unique. At first I was feeling bad for Tye but once I realized who the diary was about. Mannn… Tye deserved everything he got and more.

T.Styles has done it again. Her stories always give me life. I was in my room trying hard to figure out whose diary it was. I love how she weaved this story together and kept me on my toes, as always. Definitely a must-read.
