It rarely happens that after not a very promising first installment of a series ,one decides to start with the sequel . But I did mainly because I somewhat needed a closure and as it is often said with time our skills improve same can be said about this work too as I find it a tad better than its prequel.

Rajveer and Mehra family are again at the center of things and seems like their life wouldn't have a smooth flow ever as there is again an entry of demonic affairs which is all set to cripple them for yet another instant. This time there is a lot more at stake and the thrill even takes a supernatural turn.

The sequel ticks a lots of boxes where the first one failed to make an impression like here author has stuck to the thrilling theme and even went one step ahead by creating a spooky environment. Also the narration is better with less over the top explanation. Though some shortcomings have still inadvertently lingered on like introducing too many unessential characters and also editing part of the novel being not very promising.

Overall a marked improvement than the first one but still a lot left to be desired.

There is an indescribable amount of grief that people experience when they loose someone close to them, and it is usually a pain that never goes away.

In such anguish and sorrow, often there are times when we wish for our loved ones to be back, however regardless of how harsh it may sound, death is an inevitable part of life.

And if anyone tries to disturb this natural balance of occurrences, they will have to endure the consequences, which is exactly what happens in the book, ‘Papa 2’ by author Jiganshu Sharma.

The book begins with Rajveer getting some cryptic messages in his dreams that were enough to leave a pang of dread and panic.

And then, the inspector getting back on a new investigation case that was closely related to the previous one he had solved was definitely a sign that something big was going to go down.

Often we hear about things which we can't logically explain, and owing to that, we sort of brush them off, but then those start happening to us and we do start taking notice, just like the characters do in the book.

Once again, an excellent work by the author to bring forth a thriller with a sprinkle of paranormal that will pique the interest of the readers. I thoroughly enjoyed devouring this, hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Papa2 is an impeccable parapsychological thriller comedy with dynamic characters and a somewhat unpredictable storyline. While reading psychological thrillers, my consistent reason for relentless vexation is the unrealistic and mendacious portrayal of psychiatric settings and mental disorders. Thankfully, this wasn't the case in this book.

The author has taken special care to ensure that most, albeit not all, she has written about the mental health care setting is factually correct. I was impressed with the kind of hold she had over the readers. The constant influx of twists and turns made this book worth reading and appreciating.

The inception of the horror element in the book can be traced back to the last 50 pages. This particular part was incredibly well done. I could feel my pulse racing and goosebumps rising on my arms.

Despite all it's plus points, the book could've benefitted from some editing. There were a few too many grammatical errors that perforated in the pages and diluted my reading experience. The tonality could've used some work as well. Regardless, from a holistic perspective, this book delivered close to home, and I would inarguably recommend it.

This book is the sequel of the papa series by the author. This one started from the note where the previous one ended.
.
I already read the first one. So I am well aware of the whole scenario about the Mehras. This time the book is going to talk about another murder that entered into their lives & turned the table completely.
.
But this time there are many unanswered questions are awaiting for us like

Who was murdered?
Who else will die?
Who else will be saved?
Who else will be betrayed?
.
To know more about it grab the book & give it a try.
👉𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 :-
🙂 Cover of the book is same like the previous one. There is no modification no changes in it. I personally don't like this one because I expect something new something innovative which is completely missing this time.
🙂Writing style of the book is as good as other books of the author. She knew her work preety well & she played beautifully with the thrill part of the book that you are going to connect with it more with each passing pages.
🙂Language used in the book is simple & easy to understand.
🙂 All the characters are developed preety nicely & plays very crucial roles in the storyline. They are just making the book complex but in a good manner.
🙂 As this is the part 2 of the book I often marked the sequels of psychological thriller books are not up to the mark as readers used to of the twist & turns. But this book has a different flavour that surely going to catch your mind.
🙂 Author gave enough brief of the part 1 of the book that makes the book more easier to read.
🙂Book is quite fast paced & near about 200 pages long. This book is going to outplay your guessing power with a unexpected climax for sure

🙋🏻one mistake ruined everything...

This is book 2 in the series. I haven't read book 1 but a summary in the beginning suffices for that. Also a list of characters helps in getting a grasp of the many roles in this plot. The writing style is pretty simple but creates an air of mystery at every turn & bend. The murders in the Mehra family, of Suresh, Ishita & then death of "Ritesh" made me hold my breath from the beginning itself, anticipating an unpredictable climax.

And lo behold, it was one scary story with a very descriptive narrative that makes you create a clear picture of the scene & makes you cringe with fear. It's a perfect script for a horror/ paranormal web series & made me remember movies like Conjuring & it's parts.

The mystery, who killed the Mehra family members & why & were there more murders & does the story have a closed or open ending & was the case solved.. Get answers to all these questions in the book. Anything more would be a spoiler.

A good, beginner level horror book series.

Do you believe in positive and negative energies? How much can supernatural elements impact our lives? Jiganshu Sharma's ' Papa 2' puts these questions in our minds and makes us introspect about family bonds and how deeply these bonds are connected to a human being .

The book which at first seems like a murder mystery after the story starts with Kulbhushan Singla's mysterious death soon starts to have more dark implications as we delve deep into the storyline. Cop Rajveer Singhmar is brought to investigate the murder mystery as he tried to solve the case earnestly while at the same time battling with his domestic problems. The Mehra family is devastated after another death and Geetu and Kanta Mehra are taken to a health care centre for a psychiatric treatment. Things start to seem fishy when Rajveer observes drastic changes in Geetu's behavior at times and investigates into her past. We get an insight into how tough it is for a cop to perform well as a human and an officer as we see his troubles with handling his wife Radha and interacting with his mother-in law. There are certain humorous elements which keeps the readers engaged throughout the book.

However, nothing can prepare us for the ending which leaves us shell shocked. I felt shivers down my spine as I finished up the book. The ending was totally unexpected which left me wanting more. Can't wait for the 3rd book!

Papa 2

By Jiganshu Sharma

Genre - Horror Comedy

Synopsis - 'Papa 2' is the sequel to 'Papa' written by Author Jiganshu Sharma. This book follows the Mehra family lives in Kanta Kunj, who's life was going normally until they lost their father Suresh Mehra in an accident which leads to death of the younger daughter Ishita Mehra and their mother Kanta Mehra in a Depressive state. The son named Ritesh Mehra took the burden of the family. This is the storyline of the first book Papa by Jiganshu Sharma. In this sequel, The son Ritesh Mehra attempted suicide at his workplace which was witnessed by Rajveer Singhmar, the police officer who already handles the Ishita Mehra case file. Apart from these, there were more mysteries of the Mehra family to be revealed in the further story.

As the genre shows that it's a Horror comedy I don't find anything that much comedy in this sequel. Though I haven't read the Papa book I already get the plotline of the book which makes the sequel more familiar to me. The book is narrated in a very depicted manner. The writing style of the author is so good and it has been meticulously drafted and edited. This book has a vibe that will make anybody pick it up and read it immediately. And most of the credit goes to the attractive blurb for managing to haul the readers toward the book.
Throughout the book, the author has successfully managed to make the readers guess the mystery and who is behind all these traumas in the Mehra Family.

What kind of genre do you like:

Suspense, Thriller,Horror,Humor,Drama Etc.

Stop here and grab this book trust me it won't disappoint you.

This is a story about Suresh Mehra's family going through tragedy after his sudden demise of him. He has a blessed family with his wife and four children. Suddenly his children Rithesh and Ishita passed away in a very strange way and the investigation started. There is Rajveer, who is a police officer investigating the case, and the other characters like Dr. Nathan Morais, kKantaMehra, Radha, etc, and many others.

I felt like watching a movie or rather a series you want to binge-watch. The relationship between Radha and Rajveer was quite funny and the entry of his other inlaw was quite amusing. A few characters in the book made me feel lighter and these characters made the entire story palatable. They are incorporated so well that it didn't seem to be compelled on the story.

There are so many characters that initially I found it a little difficult to remember. But gradually got acquainted with it. Despite having multiple characters all the characters are well justified.

I would suggest starting reading this book when you are free as this book won't leave you till you finish.

I can't stop myself from bragging about it,😂😜 but more of it would be a spoiler. The book was quite engrossing writing more about it would be a spoiler.

Waiting to read more of you @jigyansusharma.

This book delivers what it promises—the climax did make my soul quiver. Ishita Mehra's case was closed after the suicide of her brother Ritesh, who murdered Ishita (accidentally). The investigating officer, Rajveer, is having recurring nightmares in which he sees Ritesh asking him to save her mother and sister, Geetu. On the other hand, a high-profile murder case involving Dr. Kulbhushan has recently come to him. What is the connection between this murder and the Mehra family? Why is Rajveer having these nightmares?

Oh my God, when I realised why this book is titled PAPA I got goosebumps; I was speechless. The climax really will give you the chills. This book is the perfect combo of mystery and horror. The interactions between Rajveer and his wife Radha add some light moments to the story. The story is well layered; the narration alternates between the present-day investigation of Dr. Kulbhushan's murder and the events in the aftermath of Ritesh's suicide. When these two strings of the story join, you start getting all the answers.

The book is very interesting and gripping to read. It is so captivating that I finished reading it in one sitting. It is fast-paced and very easy to read. The investigation by Rajveer is easy to follow. The characters are well developed. The ending was the best. I can't wait for the next part!

P.S. You can read this even if you haven't read the first part, as the summary is given at the beginning in 2 pages.

The story examines a young woman called Ishita Mehra who got killed directly following loosing her father to a horrible incident few years back.
The book is revolved around Mehra gathering of Kanta Kunj, Delhi. You'll be kept on the edge with the events happening on the story.
The textual style of the book, cover and shade of the book, all in itself gives an ideal seem to be a loathsomeness based novel. At the point when one feels the surge of goosebumps and quiet in the inhale while perusing, it most certainly implies something which can shake you eventually, this book towards the end is that kind of feeling.
However there have been some grammtical and altering blunders in the book, still this book has denoted the name in my psyche after 'The young lady on the train'
All Characters, not set in stone and extreme. To take what is happening taken care of regardless of the outcomes. Every one of the characters were truly inciting in the feeling of satisfying the things we at any point cared about. This book is superb from an amusement point of view. The characters of the story showed development in their character when contrasted with the absolute starting point. The cover configuration was somewhat of a mood killer as it looked all in all too straightforward. In any case, in general the story was fascinating and most certainly suggested.

As a horror thriller fan, I thoroughly enjoyed this novel to every bit. It wasn't entirely a horror novel but had humour segments which made it unique from all the other horror thrillers which I have read so far. This novel is a sequel to Papa and I haven't read the it but the summarised story of Papa was provided at the start of Papa² and so the story was quite clear to me. After reading the summary, I instantly regretted not reading part 1 because the plot twist was mind-blowing. It would have been a great experience to have read the whole story. Coming to Papa² which was no less than the first part in both the horror and humour aspects. The previous and the ongoing cases will alternatively be explained to us and the best part was we get to see the police officer's suspect list and his findings so far which gets updated as he investigates. It was really interesting to read his findings and to imagine what might have happened. The plot twist and the climax was totally unexpected and I guess I have to wait for another part...maybe?🫣. If you want to pick a horror novel that is short yet gives what you expect out of it, then I would highly suggest you to pick Papa². I urge you to read Papa and then go ahead with it's sequel because it totally deserves it!🖤

PAPA 2 BY JIGANSHU SHARMA

( SKIP THE DEETS TODAY, SEEDHA BOOK PE AATE HAIN)

RATING : 🌟🌟🌟.5/5

Haven't read part one yet...

So I didn't read part one of the book yet but the summary was so engaging I picked this one up. Coming to the book cover, it gave a spooky vibe and my gut feeling was correct about it - the story has a supernatural turn here.

Coming to the content inside the book, I wish the editing part was more focused upon and unnecessary characters could be wiped out since they just don't make sense to me in the story.

The ending of the book wasn't very predictable, and I liked how it ended. I won't go to read the first part again because I have heard mixed reviews about it, but I'll surely recommend the second part to you all.

Also, I think this could've done better as a movie script rather than a book. Anyways, that's my personal opinion.

To all those who've read this, let's do a book discussion in the comments 😅

This book is a sequel to PAPA, which I haven't read through The first part is important to know the characters so The author has made the characters list and their role in the story which made my read convenient.

I just love the way how the mystery is maintained till the last. As Cover says the climax gonna wrench your soul. It's true. From the beginning almost to the end of the book, there is no horror part but the end part is so horrifying. I just keep guessing but couldn't get the hint of the death that happened one by one in the Mehra family. Then there is another case that came to the table of Rajveer which seems a different case but the way both cases get connected is terrific.

It's so hard to maintain the suspense till the last but the way the book is written, and the narration are good that I couldn't stop myself from reading this book. I finished this book in just 2 seatings, you can guess how much I endure the writing style must-read read for horror and mystery lovers as it's a combination of both.

Often we may have heard about the saying how making a deal with the devil is better than having no deal at all.

However, it is imperative that we anticipate what all entails when we are making our wish and also take into consideration about how there will be consequences that will have to be faced not only by us, but also by our near and dear ones.

In the book, ‘Papa 2’ by author Jiganshu Sharma, we see a riveting story of how one person’s stubbornness and adamance to be with their family results in a chain reaction of events that will raise pure havoc.

Also, we see the relationship of Rajveer and Radhaa getting blossomed and explored as they prepare to welcome a new member in their life.

The previous book left on a note of melancholy and while it did answer or rather solve the mystery, there were some questions that felt were left unanswered, which definitely got picked in this sequel.

I loved how this was a great addition with new mystery, but with the same touch of thrill from the last book for the readers to enjoy, hence I am going to give this FIVE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When I read "love ladies and shiyaapa" by the author I started to explore her work and came accross
"Papa" series.
There is quick recape of part one in the beginning of which sets up pre requisite connection to story. Rajveer Singhmar is the investigating officer of death incident happened in Mehra Family but when he try to dig the truth unexpected things reveals up which his mind refuses to believe. So will he be able to solve the case? Is something worse waiting for him?
The story is penned with heart struck horror moments that's surely gone send chills to reader's spine. Drafting is remarkable with engrossing writing style and connecting language along with jaw-dropping twist and turns. The most appreciating part is author gave an unexpected and great climax which justified each and every moment spent on this story she honoured reader's time.

Line from the story:

He couldn’t step back at this point because he has a wife, he couldn’tignore his duties just because he was going to be a father, he couldn’t even think of running away just because he was scared as hell.

PAPA 2 is the sequel of the book PAPA written by Jiganshu Sharma.
This is a horror genre book with a lot of paranormal events with endless mysteries.

The story is about a murder of a young woman, Ishita Mehra who is killed anonymously. This woman has recently lost her father in a terrible accident, a few years ago.

The noticeable point in the story is the Mehra gathering in Kanta kunj.

In the growing mystery, Rajveer Singmar, tha investigating officer of Ishita's murder tries to investigate the death events taking place in the Mehra family.

As he digs deeper trying to solve the mystery, he gets to know about some shocking things which he himself isn't able to believe.

This book, PAPA 2 written by Jiganshu Sharma is a kind of psychological thriller filled with a number of twists and turns which makes the whole read very interesting until the last page of the book.

There are a number of characters in the story. To make it easy for the readers, the author has provided a list of characters in the very beginning of the book which would be very helpful for the readers. This was a gripping read and I couldn’t put it down at any point ! This book kept me on edge throughout… an incredible novel! For sure, this story has a standard format and I personally had a hard time predicting the plot, because it has an intriguing and  unreliable style of narration, an unique atmospheric setting and a delightful cast of unlikable characters.

I enjoyed reading this book to the best of my ability, even though there were some editing errors. How I  rated this book is mainly based on my overall reading experience and I did have a great time with this one.

I like the character of rajveer singhmar a police unvestigator . The author has sketched his character really well. At the end of each chapter . You will be puzzled with the mystery it leaves behind him. Moreover the addition of horror element worked well for this book.

You will definately going to have goosebumps while reading that particular portion. There are so many twists and turns in the storyline. And i really want to appreciate the author for writing such an engrossing and gripping plot.

.
.

I didn't just read this book I felt the tale giving me chills till the very end!
The story captures the eerie feeling, the missed connections and clues that comes with a good murder mystery, articulates suspense, drama heartaches and gore so aptly!
This was my second book by Jiganshu Sharma and boy oh boy am I a big fan now!
I was apprehensive pf demonic murder mystery theme at the beginning but with a first' few chapters i was enraptured and left scared at the same time. The whole ordeals of Mehra family what they went through is still fresh in my mind and i was on edge with unfolding of plots.

What made it a PAGE TURNER is the unanticipated direction Jiganshu Sharma took this thriller, and that truly pay offs making it a delightfully twisty read.

This is my third read from the author's collection. She is a terrific writer. I had always loved reading her work. She is fabulous. And this book Papa 2 is an another mind-blowing work done by author Jiganshu Sharma.

As the story is psychologically rich, reading it was both intriguing and thrilling. With so imaginative level of narrative style it became mind-boggling. The plot brims with suspense, fear, thrill and unexpected twist and turns. I cherished the manner in which story continued.

Its a weighty read with numerous things happening around with strong characters playing their part quite efficiently. I would suggest not to read it hastily. Instead go bit slow and address the suspense.

The composition is ingenious. The intriguing plot kept me predicting and scrutinizing the things till the end. But all in vain as climax will for sure quiver your soul.

All in all, a well plotted and brilliantly executed novel.

I have never read such amazing book . Here I am talking about the book Papa part two, well those who have read the first part knows about the half story . But for the convience of the readers author has summarised the first part in the starting of this book.

Papa is a story which has lots of mysteries , thrill and crime. As it all belongs to a family so the book also have emotional sentiments. When I completed reading the first book I was much curious to know more things of the story.

So the story has many characters but the Mehra Family and the inspector are Protagonist. At the starting of the story author has also summarised the characters which made it easy for the readers to read.

Well mine favourite part was the ending, the climax. As author has clearly mentioned that climax will make you shock and that was really true. I was much amazed at the ending.

Mystery and thrill lover must go for this book. I really enjoyed reading it.

I have perused a lot of books on wrongdoing examination, and murder secret however some way or another there is continuously something missing in a ton of them yet this book here has the appropriate components for it to be known as a thrill ride novel.
The creator has very much written the storyline with loads of turns and a speedy story. The repulsiveness component is bit tremendous yet really great for all frightfulness book perusers. I as a rule don't settle on loathsomeness books however this one is excessively great.
Every one of the characters are created preety pleasantly and assumes extremely vital parts in the storyline. They are simply making the book complex yet in a decent way.
As the story is mentally rich, it was both charming and exciting to understand it. With so innovative degree of story style it became astounding. The plot overflows with tension, dread, thrill and unforeseen wind and turns. I valued how story proceeded.

About author
Jiganshu sharma is well known for its suspense and thriller books.

About book
Papa2 is a well written thriller and suspense book. If you haven't read papa1 yet, still you can continue with it as it has summary of papa1 and make a perception about the story.

My experience
There are a lot of things which attract me like the author has given a summary of its first part, list of character (which is more helpful for me).

The horror part begins from the very beginning, language is so easy, you can make perception while reading.

There are a lot of twists in this book.

Well presentation of conversation between two characters, sometimes this conversation seems real.

I am waiting for part 3 and eagerly waiting for baby twist.

It is a psychological thriller. The major thing I liked I this book is author listed all the charcters in the beginning itself, which is very useful while reading the book as there are numerous number of charcters involved.
This is my second book. The first book is Papa1 by the way you can directly read Papa 2 as it contains a summary of Papa1 too. It is a suspense thriller.
I was really hooked till the end.
Climax is wrenching. The story itself starts with horror.
The Ranjeev case is very nice. Don't know how it is interconnected.
I started guessing the story of the Mehra family , but I was completely wrong. The book is full of turns and twists. How the death has happened one by one in the family.
Overall it is an incredible read. Definitely recommend this book to everyone.
Happy reading

The chronicle of haunted Family saga combined with investigation murder case was something i found very appealing. And although it's the squeal book, i feel this book does good as standalone as well.

This book is a rollercoaster that only goes up, I couldn't stop turning the pages and most important it was THRILLING TO THE CORE! I feel Jiganshu Sharma has done justice in bringing us readers a great murder mystery read packed with haunting psychological sub-theme, providing a fresh and gripping narrative!

The writing and plot is so audacious and intresting, i founds the twists to be equally shocking and engaging.
Delicious and fast paced plot keep it surprising and i breezed through the book in single sitting.
Grab an espresso and savor the book.
If you love reading engrossing psychological read and murder mysteries then pick this up right now.

Papa 2 is a well written psychological thriller written by Jiganshu Sharma. It is the second installment in the papa series, I didn't read the first part but this book can be read as a standalone.

The story revolves around the Mehra's family. After the of her father how ishika mehra got killed. Not only ishika, the other family members also died one by one.
What happened to them?
How they all died?
How all this happened is all to know about. The story is full of thrill, mystery and suspense and i'm sure you guys will definitely love it.

The book is written in a simple and easy language, the plot is full of twists and turns which keeps you turning the Pages, all the characters are developed pretty nicely and plays very crucial role in the storyline. The cover could have been better but the overall story was interesting and i had a great time reading this book.

"Papa 2" by Jiganshu Sharma,is a
murder mystery story line is mixed with an interesting amount of horror elements.

The story revolves around Ishita Mehra, a young woman who dies after losing her father in a horrific accident a few years ago.
The book focuses on the Mehra Group of Kant Kunj in Delhi. You will be kept on edge with the events happening in the story.

This is a significant realization with different things happening around the main energy fields to have their influence productively. I'd suggest not realizing it quickly. Rather go slowly and deal with the tension.

Creation is cunning. The interesting plot kept me anticipating and checking things till the end. Whatever it is, your soul will no doubt be shaken.

All things considered, a very well plotted and superbly executed novel.

The language is also very much simple and lucid. So overall a satisfying read.
