For some reason, the writing style didn't work for me. The story pace was too fast for my liking. I know this is a novella, but the events jumped from days to weeks later. Nothing happened in those timelines, and it was dropped as something not so relevant.

I didn't connect with the MCs; there's no tension or chemistry at all. I think Nero is way too soft for a made man. Also, his foot fetish makes it hard for me to take him seriously. 😂 It's so weird because I have never read an MMC who had this kink, but whatever, to each their own. As for Elle, I feel like she has multiple personalities; she's pissed one minute, then relaxes and flirts the next. I tried to get into their story but it just isn't for me.

Overall, this didn't work for me. Tbh, I feel like I'm reading a Wattpad story, and it was so meh 😐

This novella was a part of the Savage Bloodlines Anthology. Xavier Neal has added an epilogue and released again on her own. Nero DeLuca was the type of dark Prince Charming that I need in my life. After a business deal goes wrong, Nero realizes he needs a bride if he hopes to get his inheritance. After meeting Elle, he wants it to be with her. Immense heat, exciting action and an old fairytale woven in blood made for a very fast paced and enjoyable read. Don’t miss out on this and other exciting tales in this anthology.

Prince Charming isn’t what most people refer to Nero Deluca as being.  There’s nothing giving off the knight in shining armor vibes.  Prince of the deep dark shadows maybe.

But he has decided that the feisty and full of fire Ella does need saving.  She deserves far better that what she has been given.  And Ella may feel some heat with Nero, but she will not be easy to conquer.  Deluca simply refuses to fail this woman.

This is a DARK and steamy mafia tale of Nero, who rules with an iron fist and Ella, who has no choice but to put on the red bottom shoes and marry him because of her step-father and step-brother's mistake. What mistake? Thinking that they could outsmart Nero! Plus, if he marries her, he can get his inheritance, but she's the icing on the cake.
But what starts out as a debt repaid and inheritance gained, turns into something neither of them ever thought could be. Love.

This is Nero's story from the Savage Bloodline series. Nero meets his mate in Elle in a forced proximity, fake marriage, toe fetish (👀) Lol- Cinderella-esque type of story. I liked it, but there were some moments where I thought Nero was just a little too mean to Elle. It wasn't her fault that her step-family screwed Nero Deluca over, and yet she had to pay the price for it. However, he does redeem himself and proves that she is the love of his life. In the end, it all works out for Elle and Nero...3 🌟 🌟🌟

Sinfully smooth, wickedly hot and brutally sharp, this isn't your mother's Cinderella fairytale! Nero and Ella's mafia romance is lushly dark and tantalizingly twisted. Juicy drama, intense emotion, thrilling action, pulse-racing excitement, sizzling steam and taut tension are skillfully crafted into a fast paced and highly potent brew that is too intoxicating to miss out on. This was a lovely book, an adaptation of Cinderella meets beauty and the Beast.
The h gets taken as collateral by the H because of a f**k up of her stepfather. Of course the H and h fall for each other. The H has a kind of foot fetish which made him a bit creepy but I tried to ignore it. The story is too short for any real character development but if you are looking for a short and easy, enjoyable read. this book might be it.

I have yet to read the Savage Bloodline series but this might push me to it. I wanted a marriage of convenience story and this delivered. Since it was so short it didn’t have all the elements I enjoyed but it did the job. Neal has a good writing style and has story for just about every trope, so she’s my go to when I want something specific. I actually enjoyed the kink addition more than I thought I would and I like the Cinderella theme.

Ella and Nero were so hot together! It is a fantastic retelling of Cinderella. Xavier has her whitt and fantastic storytelling in spades with this one and the fact that Nero fall hard and fast for Ella is likely the princess movies and stories that you know and love.. highly recommend thisone. Holy smokes! This is a quick, gritty, darker read with a very alpha Nero and Elle, a smart, determined woman. I loved the story, I was pulled in and on edge from start to finish. There’s a ton of spice, mixed with that no holds barred attitude of Nero’s and it has so much packed in those pages!

Savage is an understatement for this book. This was definitely darker and twisted in more than one sense of the word. Twinkle Toes and Nero may not have started out in a traditional relationship by any means, but Nero truly did have Elle's best interests at heart. And in the end the grew on each other enough to love one another.

A Fractured Fairytale!

This somewhat dark and dangerous retelling of a favorite fairytale was filled with violence and steamy scenes between the two main characters. This is definitely not a children's tale. This adult only version does however have a surprise ending that should satisfy the romantically inclined readers!

Nero and Elle

This is a good rendition of Cinderella. Instead of the step sisters and mother Elle had the worthless step brothers and father who didn't give a crap about nothing but themselves. I love Nero, even though the way he and Elle got together was a little crazy, he loved her and when she was taken there was no hesitation about going to get her back. Great story.💟💟
