WILD, a Savage Valley Shifters - prequel:

WILD is a short story, and you can read it in 1h.

On the day Macy Martin was supposed to marry Vance Felton, as a way to unite the two shifter clans, a betrayal takes place. Brady Felton, head of the clan, decides to subdue the other, and a killing spree ensues.

Colin Stalker, who lived in the Savage Valley area - the neutral location where the ceremony would take place - watched from afar, and came to Macy's defense, because somehow, he detected that she would be his mate.
After Macy is taken care of by the healer Hamish, her new friends help her get revenge, mostly killing the Feltons.
Those of her clan who survived the attack, along with her, are now part of the Savage Valley clan, while Macy recognizes Colin as her mate.

The story is so fast that you can barely feel any connection with the characters.

Wild; A Savage Valley Shifters Prequel.

Macy Martin is a leopard shifter that has been pledged since birth to marry the son of a rival clans Alpha. There has been peace between the two clans since the betrothal was announced and the marriage will cement peace between the two clans permanently. Macy is happy to join together with the Vance in order to have permanent peace. When she walks down the aisle, there is something in Vance’s smile that sets her on edge. When he starts reading his vows, his clan shifts and attacks Macy’s clan killing most of them including her parents. She would have been killed too except a strange shifter leopard comes to her rescue. She wakes up in a strange bed in Savage Valley.

Colen Stalker is the son of the Alpha in Savage Valley, where other leopard clans send their unwanted members. No one ventures into their territory because of the rumors of their wildness. Colen knows as the future alpha, he needs to keep an eye on things so he is observing the wedding taking place in the valley below that is supposed to be neutral territory. When he sees Macy he is stunned by her beauty and he knows she is his mate. When the violence erupts, he rushes in and saves her from Vance, who is trying to kill her.

When Macy wakes up all she wants is vengeance for her parents death. Colen understands her needs, but he must also protect her from doing something stupid. Can he help her get the vengeance she desires without them both getting killed? What will Macy think when he tells her that she is his mate? Will she reject him and return to what is left of her Clan?.

Wonderful read full of action, wonderful characters and show of just retribution

Macy had been promised to Vance since the day of her birth, their alliance in marriage would ensure that their two shifter tribes would be in peace and would be stronger and as she had been at the alter with her groom she had watched as her parents and her tribe members were killed.

She had time to call forward her Jaguar and yet her groom had tried to force their union without her agreement when an unknown jaguar had come to her assistance. Colin Stalker of the Savage Valley Shifters has realised what was happening and had to come to her rescue and had taken her to safety.

Macy had recovered and with the help of Colin and his brothers and tribe had taken revenger on the pack that so ruthlessly killed her parents and pack mates, simply for greed and power.

I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

This book is a collection of short stories and this is my review for WILD

This was a quick read and the prequel to the Savage Valley series and I loved it. Macy Martin is a Leopard shifter and has always known she was promised to there Rivals Alpha Vance Felton and when the marry there clans will join together as one. Vance Felton is heading out to marry Macy from there rival clan that will reunite there clans but he has a secret and plans for them all. Now at the campground with her parents and some of her clans men when Vance turns up but at the start of the wedding he stands up and Publicly Rejects her and there clan and all hell breaks loose and her options are to stay and fight and possibly die or run and live to fight another day so she runs. Colin Stalker is a Leopard shifter from the Savage Valley who was curious about the ceremony and turns up uninvited and when he see’s the bride Macy he knows she is his mate and when the trouble start he saves her by attacking Vance to give her time to escape because she is his mate. How does it all turn out between Colin and Macy and does she get her revenge on Vance and his clan.

Macy was ready to take her place next to Vance who would become her mate and join the two clans together for all time. Up on the hill Colin was watching the ceremony and when he saw the woman in the green dress he knew that she was his fated mate. He creeps closer to hear what is being said. After Macy said her speech to Vance it was his turn to say his to her, but he drew his claws and killed her father, and the battle between the Feltons and the Martins began in earnest. Colin saw that it was an unprovoked attack the Feltons were out to kill the other clan. Colin jumped into help the Martins and save Macy from Vance. The story was short but it went from the most horrific battle to the most joyous occasion. First they battle the Feltons, then Colin showed Macy how much she meant to him. From sadness to joy. Beautiful story. Highly recommend.

My review is for the story called Wild by
Margo Bond Collins.
I thought this would be a longer book so I wasn’t expecting it to take less than one hour to read. The story itself was ok. I was expecting more if I’m honest after reading the blurb but it was ok. It definitely wasn’t brilliant and didn’t leave me desperate to read more but a full size novel could well be completely different and I would want to try another book in this series. If this book was at least double the length it could have had so much more detail in it and then I would have enjoyed it so much more. I know as a prequel novella it was always going to be short, I just felt a little deflated. The blurb promised so much and didn’t deliver in my opinion.

Bought this box set because of the wonderful writers and I can't wait to read them "All". There are eight short stories in this box set. I'm personally reviewing on "Wild" by Margo Bonds Collins. This story is about Macy Martin a leopard shifter, who was promised to a rival alpha, Vance Felton, but he rejects the joining of clans during the ceremony. Her choice is to stay and be killed like her clan or run. She runs to Savage Valley. Meanwhile Colin Stalker, leopard shifter gate-crashes the ceremony and when he sees Macy his leopard claims mine. He battles against her intended giving her time to escape. What occurs is an engaging novella with drama, action and romance. Wild by Margo Bond Collins

Macy has always known her role, what she would do for her Leopard clan, but when the day finally arrives for her to step up things don't go as planned.

Colin is simply trying to learn about the world beyond his valley we he realizes he can't merely observe from afar, but must do something.

This is a prequel, and it does everything I want in a prequel and more. Not only does it establish the Universe where the story takes place, and introduce interesting characters, it gives a complete story, with a satisfying conclusion, all while wetting my appetite for more, and dropping clues as to what else will be explored in this Universe.

A short story that is a prequel story for a new series. Mating day treachery brings Macy and Colin together. She is the good little daughter who is doing her part to bring lasting peace to her leopard leap. He is a wild leopard shifter from Savage Valley who only thought to spy on a humanized mating ceremony between two leopard clans. But not all the participants want the two leaps to join under joint rule, and the good little girl is about to get a rude awakening. Colin's leopard has decided Macy is his and he will fight to save her.

Short, Intense, and Interesting

I am only reviewing "Wild: A Savage Valley Shifters Prequel Novella" by Margo Bond Collins.

Short stories have a lot to deliver in a few pages. This novella manages to take you on a roller coaster ride from innocence, to revenge, and finally to a fitting end. The character development for the main characters is good and the world-view of Savage Valley gets enough description to make things fit.

The story has a bit of savage fighting that fits well with the plot. It's not for the squeamish, but it's relatively mild.

This is an enjoyable background to the series.

This is for the novella Wild by Margo Bond Collins.
Macy is set to marry a man from another clan of leopard shifter in order to unite the clans. During the wedding vowels the other family turns on them and massacre Macy's family. Colin, a shifter from Savage Valley just happens to be in woods and rescues Macy. He takes her back to Savage Valley and knows she wants vengeance. During the time there Macy and Colin realize they are fated mates. Macy, with the help of Colin's clan plan to attack a few days later.
I enjoyed the story and was a great quick read. If you like shifters and instalove stories, I highly recommend this story.

Review of Wild - A Savage Valley Shifter Prequel

I love Margo Bond Collins and she’s an author I always count on to deliver interesting characters and stories. This novella was no different.

To wait 19 years for your mating/wedding story only to have your groom and his leap viciously attack is horrifying, but true mates are sometimes found in the most interesting times and places. That’s what happens here. Love does win out in the end, but there are definitely trying violent times to get there.

I look forward to reading the rest of the series to which this book serves as a prequel as well as the book this novella will be found in.

This collection of stories is a great way to find new authors, or just enjoy books not released yet by authors you know. There are eight short stories in this collection but I'm only going to review Wild by Margo Bonds Collins.

Macy Martin, a leopard shifter, is promised to Vance Felton the alpha of a rival clan. But everything goes wrong when Vance rejects her forcing her to flee or die, she decided to flee to Savage Valley. The ceremony had been gate-crashed by Colin also a leopard shifter who when he first sees Macy his leopard insists is their mate. So when all hell breaks loose he fights with Vance thus ensuring she has time to escape.

What follows makes this an engaging novella packed full of action, drama, and romance.

I read one story from this anthology so far called Running Wild. It is a prequel to a new series about Savage Valley shifters.
Macy was the daughter of her clan's alpha. She had been promised in mating to the son of a rival's clans alpha. Their mating was meant to merge the two clans in peace. Macy knew she was being a pawn but it was for the good of the tribe. She was expecting a civilized mating ceremony but that's not what she got.

Colin is one of the shifters from Savage Valley. His clan is known for wildness and being savage when necessary. Colin is the son of the alpha so he is going outside their pack lands to get familiar with the surrounding valleys. When he spots Macy, his leopards claims that she is their mate. Colin will do anything for her.

This review is for Margo Bond Collins story, “Wild”.

This is a very, very short story and also the stand-alone prequel to Margo’s new, upcoming Savage Valley Shifter series. I really liked it except it is way too short. I don’t feel I really had time to get to know Colin or Macy but I really wanted to. One thing it did do is make me interested and look forward to the new series. I will definitely be reading Unbroken when it comes out next month. I’m hoping we’ll get more about Colin and Macy, too, even though it’s about a different couple. That would be great.

Macy, the female lead, is betrayed by the clan she was supposed to marry to unite their two clans. She escapes to Colin, the male lead, and he and his people help her extract vengeance. Then she chooses to stay, as they’ve both realised they’re fated mates.

This short story is dual POV, and a lovely simple but well written introduction to the author’s new world. I enjoyed Macy’s strength of character and the sweetness of the relationship in contrast to the betrayal at the beginning of the story.

This is a prequel to the Savage Valley Shifters series by Margo Bond Collins. This is a great start to what I am sure will be a terrific series. Macy suffers a terrible tragedy on her mating day and Colin saves her. They realize that they are fated mates and he helps her get revenge and start to heal. They fall in love and start to build a life in Savage Valley. For anyone who likes shifter romances they will love this one. It makes you want to believe that fated mates were possible in the human world too.

Macy was to be matted to Vance, but Vance's clan killed most of her clan and her parents. She's now the new alpha of what left her clan and she wants revenge. Collin is the soon to be alpha of his clan. When he see Macy, he knows she's his fated mate. He will help her in her revenge and admire his fierce mate.
This is a short story that is action and drama packed. There's also heat between Collin and Macy. I liked how Collin allowed Macy to make her choice in what she wanted to do and helped her rather than dictate what he wanted done.

The story in the Shifting Magic anthology that I read is: Wild: A Savage Valley Shifters Prequel Novella. Macy knew from a very young age she would marry the son of another pack to solidify the packs and end the warring. But lies, deceit and betrayal from the other pack lead to a horrible situation. Margo has written this prequel with strong yet gentle lead characters and their struggle to find the right path to correct that situation. It is short and now I need to read the next book. I want more details on the packs, Savage Valley and our young couple.

It should have been a happy day. It should have been a day to bring together two clans in peace. It should have been her mating day. It should have been a beginning. What it turned out to be was a day of death, despair, betryal and endings. Macy has just watched those closest to her brought down. Her parents, the Alpha couple wished to unite their clan with the another while her mate-to-be of the other clan just wanted to wipe out any leopard that was not theirs. Thankfully a Savage Valley leopard was watching. He saved Macy that day. He will do anything for her. Now why is that??.

This was a great novella a wonderful introduction to her new series. When it’s time for Macy to mate and as the alpha’s daughter join to the son of a rival clan pulling the two clans together an ending generations of rivalry. But then her promised me violently rejects her during the public mating ceremony, humiliated she faces death for this. She runs to savage Valley were the most brutal of shifters survive then she meets Colin. it’s a quick easy read full of Action drama savagery suspense revenge steam romance and love.

Fabulous characters the love story that follows from tragedy is wonderful.

Macy has been betrothed to Vance Felton since birth to join two clans together to make peace. Her whole clan was betrayed by the Felton's clan at her mating/ marriage ceremony. Collin of the Savage Valley clan a group of feral shifters. Little did Collin know that he would see his mate and she was going to be mated to someone else.

I’m reviewing the novella by Margo Collins Bond - Wild

I really enjoyed reading the story about Colin and Macy. Macy was on her way to a bonding ceremony when the man she was supposed to marry, turned into her public enemy number one and she set out with revenge in her heart with Colin, who is from the savage Valley pack who everybody feared. He and his brothers helped Macy exact her revenge and then they were able to except a future together as fated mates.

Soul Love by D.F. Jones

Summer gets a look at her neighbors house when she meets the designer and he shows it to her.
He's called away and she goes to the top floor and is drawn to a door with a bright light on the other side shinning throuh.
Before she can open it the designer returns and says that floor is off limits.
She goes back over and is caught peeking in the window by the Rogan, the new neighbor.
They are drawn together and he asks her to come for dinnet.
He has things to hide but he can't stay away from her.

From the first page to the excellent HEA, its an action packed , intriguing, rejected mates story. Lots of twists.
I love the turn of events and how everything played out. The story is a novella so the background is limited. But it's enough to get your imagination going and want to learn more about the Savage Valley shifters.
Well written, no cliffhanger, and an excellent story.

Wild was a great introduction to Margo's new series. There was a lot packed into this novella, leopard shifters, politics, a betrothal gone wrong, and so much more.


This book was a little savage, I wish I can say more without spoiling but there was high action and lots of drama packed into such a short story that somehow feels complete. I can't wait to know more about the Savage Valley Shifters.

I read Wild by Margo Bond Collins

What a way to find your fated mate. Collin and Macy found love and a fresh start, after a massacre that took so much from her at her forced mating ceremony. Collin intervened and helped her fight off her forced mate and his pack, because he knew she was his mate. Macy took longer but also realized that Collin was her fated mate. This is a quick read that is action packed. I would have liked to have more time with the couple as they developed their new life, but the plot is complete. I highly recommend you read it, especially if you like shifter books.
