Three Character Classic, or 三字经, is an introduction to the moral and cultural principles of the ancient Chinese, as well as a brief overview of the three thousand year history of ancient China.
Though confusing and convoluted in nature, this English translation hopes to clear up that confusion and create a clear and cohesive poem that will help you understand more about the culture, history, morality, and philosophy of scholars at the time of the author's life.
This book was originally written by Wang Yinglin and Qu Shizi, and is pronounced San Zi Jing in Chinese.
