I will never be released from it, but I will try to appease it with the anger I possess. The anger that has been consuming me all this time. There are many people who have disappointed me, who have betrayed me, from my childhood to my youth, to my present life. But there is no greater harm than that which seven individuals brought upon me, seven individuals whom I will snatch out of existence for what they have done to me. They are my seven shadows. To you who are my shadow, to you who ruined my life, I will seek you and find you. Beware of me, run away or hide where you can, because when I do, when I find you and have you at my mercy, I swear I'll cut your fucking head off...

Before anything, I will try to leave this as spoil free as I can and only try to make a constructive criticism to help a author grow. This will also only be my point of view after reading and not a professional stand or anything of the sort.

Although such a small read, the way it is written makes for a tough book to follow up in one seating.
The skill of the author is present and noticeable, but it's also visible the mistakes of a beginner.

The story has a paperthin plot that doesn't justify, at all, the actions of the main character.
It's a revenge story where the protagonist went through some painful moments in her life, derived from the jealousy, greed or anarchist personality of 7 "shadows".

The described negativity she feels is way over what would be considered sane, for most of the painful memories carried, and ends up establishing a weak image for the protagonist... which, in these cases, I tend to call them, ironically, "Edge Lord".

Another thing I couldn't stop to question, was if the author took careful thought over the time period everything happens.
The protagonist carries her revenge with a long sword in present day age of technology advancements... Some of the "Shadows" she aims for would never be accessible to reach at all, unless she had serious backup (which she does not throught the story).

In the end, neither the motives, nor the means by which she tries to kill these "shadows", seem plausible and end up taking the whole read a step back for me.

Dispite this, there are some positive points I ended up admiring in the book.
The way it is constructed in each chapter gives a level of personality to both the work and the author themselfs.
Also, the places where the scenes occur show an imaginative mind from the author, which indicates a lot of potential and possibility for a greater work in the future.

To end my review, I need to also point out that the description needs a bit more work.
There were times when I lost myself in the book... not because of the plot, but because I couldn't understand what I was reading at all. Had to look at the same page more than once or twice to perceive what was really going on and this ended up being another point that took the book a step back.
