”You came to separate me from Aphra. And what, reduce a broken woman back to her broken pieces? So you can take credit for putting her back together? No, I don’t think so. Chelli Aphra is mine now.”
Sana Starros and her team to rescue Chelli Lona Aphra have managed to capture the Spark Eternal, the ancient technological marvel holding their friend hostage in her own body. Their victory is short lived as soon, everything goes to hell.
This issue was wild and full of cool weirdness, a few touching moments and great art. This series is such a joy to read each month. This issue had some cool twists and turns, some that gave hints as to where this arc will go next and some that I think will be followed up on other comics, like Charles Soule's Hidden Empire. My favorite scene was a sequence between Aphra and Magna Tolvan, as they are a duo that I like a whole lot, even though I ship Aphra more with Sana. Seeing those two reunite was so much fun!
I don't have any big thoughts or critiques or anything that smart to say, other than that this series is a blast and I can't wait for issue 27!
