Sean Covey was the starting quarterback for Brigham Young University during the 1987 and 1988 seasons. He was benched due to an ankle sprain. Following his college football career wrote a book called The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. It is a book based on the principles of The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, which was written by his father, Stephen R. Covey, but directed towards the life of a teen. A more recent book he has written is The 6 Most Important Decisions You Will Ever Make. The book directs the six big choices teenagers will make in their teenage years. The six decisions are: School, Friends, Parents, Dating and Sex, Addictions, and Self Worth.
Listened to this on Libby. It was very short (50 minutes) and repetitive. It covered the seven suggestions and provided some examples and brief context. Honestly, didn't enjoy it and will not follow up with any further books related to this series, written by either the father or son.
I always enjoy going back to Covey‘s teachings, because they are so simple yet so profound when you apply them into your life. I am unsure why the reviews on this book are so low, but I kept finding myself being surprised when I would ask myself the question prompts in this and plan on further reflecting on them.
Not the best audiobook to listen to due to its repetitiveness. I would definitely enjoy reading this more than listening to the audiobook. I love the lessons and advice though so I would definitely revisit this book again in the near future.
