She's KNOT falling for the bad boy billionaire bear! Cassie’s new boss is a huge bear of a guy—literally! He’s a polar bear alien with a barrel chest and thighs so thick they might have their own gravity. But she really shouldn’t be thinking about his gorgeous body.
They’ve got nothing in common. He’s a rich alien playboy, she’s just a poor girl trying to get by. She definitely can’t afford to sleep with the boss.
Errytt’s been dubbed the wild lordling of Ximia for good reason, but being the heir to an oligarchy isn’t easy. Once again his determination to live fast and hard has gotten him into trouble. Now he has to resurrect a failed family business to prove he can take life more seriously.
When Cassie turns up and starts putting his life into shape, he thinks she’s his ticket home. But how is he supposed to avoid another scandal, when all he can think about is biting and claiming his gorgeous human assistant?
This rags to riches billionaire alien romance contains explicit language and content and is intended for an adult audience! Each book in this series has a new couple and a HEA. If you like growly, possessive polar bear aliens who are really teddy bears for their ladies, this series is for you. Please check my website for content warnings.
Ami Wright is a romance author who loves history, food, travel, trashy TV and smutty books. She loves writing science fiction romance with time travelling Romans, feisty cat people and plenty of spice!
Ami lives in Australia with her partner and two kids. If she ever gets any spare time between working, writing and mothering, she reads, cooks, watches history documentaries and dreams of the days when international travel becomes a reality again!
This was such a sweet story between Cassie and…Errytt. I honestly could never figure out how to pronounce his name so he became Everett in my head 😂
When Cassie becomes Errytt’s assistant, there was no hope for either of them. Instalove ensured they’d found their one. Which was super cute. This whole book was. It was a lighthearted, fluffy read with some spice 🌶
The writing was great and the characters were wholesome. I do think the story-line was pretty predictable, yet it didn’t make it any less enjoyable. I would have liked to see more of the difference between Ximians and humans, because at times I forgot he was an alien lol.
Will def be checking out more of Ami Wrights books!
Sweet and spicy! ***** Rating: 4 stars Steam: 3 flames Genre: Alien, Billionaire, Employer & Employee ***** Erryt, the oligarchy's playboy billionaire, has been playing hard for years. It's time for him to mature, and his parents have assigned him to a working mission to prove himself.
Cassie, the poor, self-taught, unemployed female, is down to her last mark and needs a job, any job, to survive. When she sees a job advertisement, she immediately contacts the number; when she arrives for an interview with Erryt, he realizes she may be just what he needs…as his personal assistant.
I enjoyed both characters; their banter and chemistry were entertaining and steamy. The plot was intriguing, and the ending was fantastic! I had fun reading this book and can't wait to read the bonus epilogue!
This is the book for you if you want mild angst, passion, and endearing characters. It’s got a recommendation from me!
Errytt is an alien humanoid but with polar bear traits like his white fur and he is the heir os a very important family, one of the nine most important ones. He is very spoiled and hates working. His parents are done with it and send him away to try and better himself. Cassie is a human that has always lived in poverty and is used to work all day and still be very poor. She is looking for a job in a new space station to try and have a better life when she ends up working for Errytt. She was supposed to get a job working on the mined but he saw that she was quickly arranging everything in his suite and she was very honest with him. So he hired her as his PA. She really helps him turn a new leaf but his parents don't believe it and it's until the end that we get to see that unfold. Amazing story it's like pretty woman but he always treats her like a girlfriend and the character development is amazing. I loved what Errytt does. A must read.
Errytt has never taken the time to appreciate the small things until he was banished from his home planet to Nova..... Cass was a girl very down on her luck who happened to find a job posting lacking in information.... Can the two of them come together and make the best out of a hard situation? Attraction and respect and clothes are flying all over the place.... I like it!
I received an ARC of Ami Wright's upcoming release, Alien Billionaire's Assistant. There's so much awesomeness
ARC from Author and no spoilers! I loved this and will reread, ideal palate cleanser in between those heavy, dark books I also like. It has the HEA I insist upon but there is a journey to this between a huge, gorgeous Alpha Polar Bear alien Errytt and his new Assistant, petite human Cassie. Plenty of Heat and Spice to keep the mature readers turning the pages and character growth to actually want that HEA! Wasn't anything I didn't like about this, read in one sitting and put me in a happy place; a feel good book. It is a SciFi Romance set in Omegaverse so there is scenting, biting, and all the rest of that growly goodness that comes with that world so please check content warnings on Authors website.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
QUICKL👀K: Rags to riches, Sci-fi Cinderella vibe, Pretty Woman on Rodeo scene, max HEAT🔥, irresponsible polar🐻 Prince, dirt-poor human assistant💃, all the drama & angst of a soap/Harlequin, lessons learned, happy ending.
DETAILED L👁👁K: A carnal & adult, sci-fi version of Cinderella?
One where the Prince is an unapologetic playboy and troublemaker who wants to have fun before his time runs out. And Cinderella is a shy human female that comes from the dirt-poor Fortuna station in hopes of finding a better life.....
Errytt's the son of one of the nine ruling oligarchs of Ximia, a wealthy planet full of polar bear hybrids. He's also his father's only heir to the seat. So, his carefree days are numbered.
His parents are tired of his irresponsible antics being splashed across the media, and want to help Erryt turn his life around before it's too late.
So they send him all the way out to edgespace and tell him he's not allowed to come home until he can "contribute to the family."
Erryt comes up with an idea, of getting the old mining station in edgespace running again, to prove to his parents that he can contribute- aka go home. But it's a lot harder than he thought it'd be.
In between partying and racing, Erryt half-heartedly posts an ad to hire some mining workers. When only one person calls about the job, he hires her on the spot. But soon realizes that the human female is too fragile for mining an asteroid.
Down to her last dollars, starving and homeless, Cassie can't get anyone on Nova station to hire her. Instead they turn up their noses and shew her away. She doesn't even have enough money for a ticket back home.
When out of nowhere, she's offered a job the moment she calls the ad for it. She can't help but think there's a catch to it. Who would hire a space-rat with no education or resume?
Upon meeting him and seeing just how unorganized Erryt was, she accidentally blurted out that he needed an assistant. Thankfully, he loved the idea and gave her the job. Even if it's just an excuse for Erryt to get out of doing work, it's the best thing that's ever happened to Cassie. How hard could it be?
As they begin to work together, Cassie realizes that there's so much more to Erryt than she originally thought. Instead of turning up his nose at her like everyone else, he makes her feel like somebody.
But there's no room in her life to notice how hot and sweet the gruff Ximian is. He's her boss and she can't afford to lose this job. Nor get attached. Things could never work out between a prince and a pauper.
Erryt can't believe how much fun he's had working with the little human, and making her blush. She's honest and real, unlike anyone he's ever met, & makes him see the world with new eyes.
But every time they get one problem solved, another two pop up. Such as when he accidentally sent Cass into heat.....
If you want to find out if the Prince & the pauper make it, in more ways than one, read the book.
OPINION: A sweet and easy read, with tons of heat🔥 (involves possessive growling & knotting, so don't read in public or your blushing will give you away lol). It fit perfectly as a buffer btwn serious reads.
It reminded me so much of the Harlequin romance books I read years ago. The drama and over-the-top angst, that led to we-cant-be-together plot twists or secrets.
The text convo Cassie had with her friend, right after getting the job, was so hilarious and relatable.
There were some minor unanswered questions. Such as: what was the deal w/her parents? Where did the couple decide to live and do with their business? Did Erryt's father ever get his groove back, and mend their relationship? I also wanted Cass to gain a little more self confidence and character growth, to stop feeling unworthy. Don't worry, you get a happy ending. I just have a hard time of letting things go when I'm invested in a story. Also, these questions might get answered. I noticed that in the back of the book, it says if you sign up for the authors newsletter you get a free bonus scene yay! I'll have to check it out.
Overall I enjoyed the book & will def continue reading the series.
Due to some sailor language & red-hot love scenes I suggest for adults only. It never went to deep dark places and always had consent. Read through KU. Happy reading fellow romance lovers!
What’s a hardworking gal to do when no one in her new home is willing to give her a chance? Well until she meets the bad boy, but even then she can’t seem to shake the stigma of her beginnings. Of course neither can he since his parents just won’t listen. Their relationship seems doomed to failure, but for once they’ve both found something to fight for. All she needs to do is reform the bad boy. The characters in this story were fantastic! They each had so much emotional baggage, but together they became whole. I enjoyed watching them grow as a couple, and I shed some tears when I thought all was lost. But the author came through with a win at the end and the best HEA ever. I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
ARC: Errytt is a Ximinian Polar Bear Alien. Ximian's 💦 sent female into heat.
When things get hot between Errytt and Cassie, this bitch (bitch as an endearment, Cass is brilliant *chefskiss *) drank every drop of Errytt 💦 like a protein shake. Guess what happen??? 🤭 Yup!! Heat! Grind! Knot!
If you like Pretty Woman less the stripper, Two Weeks Notice, Notting Hill, Maid in Manhattan, grand gesture kind of vibe, hit this one. You have everything in sweet romance you are looking for added with spicier flavor. Rags to Riches with no filter, just purely f🤫king, tasting and knotting. Purely enjoyable. Mic drop!
Excellent new series by Ami Wright! We meet the playboy Erryh, the wild lord long of Ximia. Boozing and woman are his vices until his oligarchy parents put their foot down and insist he makes something of himself. Cassie answers his ad for work and the book explodes into hot, hot romantic adventures. I loved to see Erryh mature into a decent man who takes pride in his love for Cassie…in fact gives up so much to make a life with her. This book was excellent. I am a prolific reader and I am happy I have found this new author. I plan to put any book she writes in my to be read pile. ❤️❤️❤️
Very enjoyable. This was my first polar bear alien. There's a bit of a Pretty Woman vibe in the first quarter of the book. I appreciated Cassie's honesty and Erryt's willingness to listen and improve himself. The spice was an interesting take on heats & knotting.
This book felt like a fun read for me with some emotional moments along the way. I don’t get the chance to read that many sci-fi romances because I have a hard time finding ones that I really like, so I was excited about this one. I really liked Cassie, our heroine. She’s a human from let’s just call it the poor side of the galaxy. She’s on her last “dollar”, basically homeless, and in dire need of a job if she wants to make a go of a life better than where she came from. Errytt is not exactly super likable to begin with. He is the definition of a playboy. He’s a spoiled rich boy who likes to party, play pranks, and race fast ships. It’s funny how well educated he is and how much privilege he has, but when Cassie comes into his life as an assistant she has much more ambition and ability to actually turn his business into a real business. I really liked the two of them together and how they work together. Of course there is a lot of family drama on Errytt’s side because he’s basically the family screw up. Cassie has some really self-esteem problems with not believing someone like him could ever want to make a life with someone like her. And there is of course the obstacle of her being a human and him being a human/bear hybrid. This book definitely does have its steamy moments, and there is a bit of knot going on. Mostly this book was a quick read, with pretty good character growth, and a nice little love story.
🔥 “You there, yet, baby? Are you burning for me?” ~~~ Cassie has left Fortuna in search of a better future. She’s trying really hard to find a job on Nova Station, but her origin doesn’t make it easy for her. And no one wants to hire an “orbit rat”. But despite all the hardships she’s facing, Cassie is one amazing and strong woman. Even more, she’s so clever, honest and really hard-working. I loved her so much!
Errytt is a Ximian - a polar bear-human hybrid who’s grown up surrounded by wealth and privilege. He’s one confident, charismatic and cocky male who doesn’t take things very seriously. And he’s enjoying life to the fullest indulging in alcohol, women and fast races. Until he’s sent to Nova Station and tasked with reviving and overseeing a mining operation at the Choris asteroid belt. Errytt might appear carefree and unreliable, but there is more to him than meets the eye. He’s so sweet, protective, honorable and generous and I really loved that he never goes back on his promises. Errytt is a wonderful male and I loved everything about him.
I adored everything that happened between Cassie and Errytt. From the moment they met, their attraction was undeniable, but Cassie was hesitant to act on her feelings. And their different backgrounds, Errytt’s family and the media didn’t make it easy for either of them. Nevertheless, I loved the moments they spent together getting to know each other and seeing beyond their upbringing and social status. And their banters and teasings were fantastic. I loved Errytt for being honest with her and telling her what he wants. But I adored him for giving Cassie the choice and the decision how far they would take things. Even more, Errytt, with Cassie’s help, grew so much throughout the story, becoming a mature, decent, responsible and hardworking man who values the things that matter and are worth fighting for. Those two were so amazing together and I just couldn’t get enough of either of them. Moreover, when they gave in to their need for one another, the passion they shared was scorching hot and had all the growly, dirty-talking, dominant, knotty and bitey goodness.
Overall, the story is a spectacular start of the series. It’s sweet, wholesome, witty, passionate and heartwarming and proves that what matters most is worth the sacrifices and is worth fighting for.
I couldn’t put it down and loved every single page of it!
Alien Billionaire's Assistant has a male bear/human hybrid (Errytt) and a human female main character (Cassie). Cassie is from the outer reaches of space who came to Edgespace space station to find a better life. While she has been trying to find a job she sees an ad for a job and calls the number. She's immediately hired and instructed to come to a hotel. When she arrives the boss is still in bed and the hotel suite is a mess. She ends up as the assistant to the billionaire instead of the original job.
Errytt is the son of a royal family and is a playboy who does whatever he wants to have fun. He was sent to Edgespace and was instructed to turn his life around with the taking over of a mining company to make it profitable. He has no interest until Cassie shows up and flips his world upside down.
Cassie is from a poor family that works in a space junk yard. She has no education but does what she can to better herself by learning all she can.
This was more of a fun light hearted read compared to a lot of the books I read. So a nice palate cleanser for me! The spice level is 🔥🔥🔥. My husband got the after effects when I finished reading it. 😏😏 😂😂 There is knotting, which is still relatively new to me, but find that I really enjoy it! I also kind of got a little bit of a Pretty Woman vibe from a scene in a dress shop that I really liked and it made me so happy.
Overall I really enjoyed this book and this new to me author. I'll definitely check out the author's other books and will look forward to the next one.
I will just make a small mention that caused me to give a 4 star rather than 5 is Cassie's education background. She clearly states she has no education but when talking with Errytt she begins spewing out information about lawyers, costs, overhead and all this information. This didn't fit, there was mention that she teaches herself a lot of things, which is great, I do the same. But there was no scene about her teaching herself and all the sudden she just knows all this information. It was a tiny off putting and was at the beginning of the book but I wanted to see where the book went and I'm so happy I finished it.
Cassie, a down on her luck, sensible woman with no marks to her name, gets the opportunity to work for handsome Ximian billionaire playboy Errytt.
I didn’t like Errytt in the beginning of the book. He was lazy, careless, and spoilt. However, his character growth throughout the story was excellent. He proved himself to be an honest, patient, hardworking, and caring Ximian, who never wavered in his affection for Cassie. Obviously, he grew on me. I really enjoyed Cassie from the start. She was a kind-hearted, resourceful, determined, and hardworking woman, regardless of her background and hurdles she experienced throughout her life. I thrived on Errytt and his dominant, growly, dirty persona, which was just what Cassie needed in and out of the bedroom. And the instant heat as a result of his orgasm? With knotting and biting? Fun!
I give this book 4 stars. This was an instalove contemporary based romance in a sci-fi world, serving Pretty Woman vibes. I personally prefer more action in books to reach that 5 star peak. Nevertheless, this was an enjoyable, light read with just enough spice to keep my smutty heart happy and included my compulsory HEA requirement.
I did shed a couple of tears. Ami has a way of writing which subtly hits me emotionally, in which I don’t realise I have been suckered in until the book is finished. I felt a whole range of emotions in this book and enjoyed every minute.
Congratulations on your book release, I look forward to reading more from you in the future!
I received an advanced copy from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
Cassie has not had an easy life, she is not trying to hide it and she is working towards making the best of it that she can. She has finally got herself to Nova Station where she hopes that she can work to fulfill her dreams but the people there are not as cosmopolitan as you would think. She looked down on because of her beginnings but she doesn't let it stop her. It does hurt but she keeps trying. She is a strong lady and deserving of better, even if she has to go out and get it for herself. Errytt is a spoiled little rich boy playboy which, truthfully is not entirely his own fault. He has been sent to Nova Station to oversee the mining there and he is not best pleased about it. He needs someone to organise and so puts out an ad which brings Cassie into his life. She tells him the truth from the start and he, in turn is always truthful with her as well. There is an undeniable spark between but the gulf between their social positions might be a little to big to cross. Errytt proves that he is more than he was allowed to be as you see him consider things from Cassie's point of view. He shows he can be compassionte, protective and sweet. Will the disparaity in their pasts and current status be enough to keep them apart though? This was a wonderful book and I loved it. It was just perfect.
Cass is down on her luck looking for a job and is not ready to give up on her decision to leave home, when she stumbles upon an employment opportunity that quite literally is too good to be true...
Errytt has never had to work a day in his life, he doesn't think about the credits he spends or where they come from. But his family has sent him to edge space to set him straight and he is determined to do the opposite. When Cass walks into his messy hotel room he is instantly smitten. Can he put aside his rowdy ways and stand up to his family for the female he desires? Can he convince Cass his intentions are true and he is serious about her?
I feel like if you are newer to alien romance or you don't love high angst or heavy sci-fi topics in your reading this is a great option for you, the romance had low stakes they just really enjoyed each other and had to figure out how to make that work and the world was well established and uncomplicated. For me I just needed bit more of a conflict or a build up to their relationship for me to really be invested in them being together. Super easy to read and full of good steamy moments though!
This is a new series loosely set in the world of the Ardun feline aliens introduced in 2 previous series but you do not need to read those to understand or enjoy what's going on here.
»I've got five bedrooms in my suite. You're staying with me. End of discussion.«

❥ 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒆 I liked her. She is intelligent, funny and stands her ground against Errytt.
❥ 𝑬𝒓𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒕 A big, billionaire alien? Cash or Card?
✥ 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒐𝒌 This book had so much potential! The idea is very good sadly the implementation lacked. I had my problems with the writing style cause there were so many descriptions and less dialogue. It get’s boring quickly because we read only about the inner monologue and there is very little of interaction/dialogue between the characters. Cassie and Errytt are cute together and I think they fit. Although there were around 50 pages missing which describe how they develop feelings and fell in love. It goes rather quickly in the story and it felt like a hard cut from we‘re strangers to we‘re in love. Overall this was a cute alien romance with room for improvement.
This book was given to me as an ARC for an honest review.
This was my first time venturing into a world of Ami Wright’s creation and man am I ever glad that I did! Alien Billionaire’s Assistant is that perfect comfort read. It has a strong female character, Cassie who just like all of us has a little self doubt but doesn’t let that stop her and the lovable, mischievous cinnamon roll of an alien that is Errytt. This book is a story about how two flawed characters discover themselves and each other. Cassie who has dreams and a go get’em attitude that is tempered by her self doubt and nerves. Who despite that pushes through and never gives up trying to be her best. Errytt who is a lost, rich bachelor with no direction until he meets Cassie. He wants to prove to his parents, Cassie but mainly to himself that he isn’t a layabout and can make something of himself. With characters that are so relatable this book is a recipe for success! Ami Wright has really outdone herself with this one. With all of the tropes we know and love it will make you laugh, cry and everything in between. Give it a try; you won’t regret it!
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun, sweet romance. Great world building and I loved the characters. I was rooting for Cassie from the very beginning. Poor, starving, and unable to get hired for a job now matter how many she'd tried for, she was just on her way to beg for damaged fruit from a fruit vendor, when she saw an ad for a job- no experience required. She was shocked when she immediately got hired. Errytt is a polar bear alien from a rich family who sent him away to do something useful for the family before they would allow him back home. He decided to fix up an asteroid mining station to prove his worth but was having no luck hiring anyone, until Cassie applied. He hired her on the spot, but when she showed up to his penthouse, he saw that she was too fragile to work in an asteroid mine. Cassie took in the chaotic space of his penthouse and told him he needed a personal assistant. Agreeing, Errytt immediately gave her the position of his PA and put her to work. I just fell in love with both of these characters and couldn't put this book down. An excellent read. 5 stars.
This book really pissed me off. At first, I was actually all for the couple, but the main character was so insecure. She kept bringing up how she’s just "a piece of junk trash" and he’s "the heir" while he’s out here thinking she’s the best thing that ever happened to him. It was fine at first.
But then he decided to hide her from his parents and essentially ignore her—just treating her like an assistant when his aunt came to supervise him. That pissed me off.
First of all, instead of telling his parents the truth, he chose to hide her like she was some kind of dirty secret. Then, when rumors spread that he was engaged to another one of his species, she ran away. Meanwhile, he was calling and searching for her because he had actually run away himself and gotten disowned by his parents just to be with her—and she refused to even talk to him.
Like seriously, girl—why would he come back to you if he was engaged, when you know the stuff in the media is usually false? And the way she acted both times he messed up... she was like, “I’m mad, this can’t work out,” but the second he actually came to her, she folded faster than a lawn chair.
Totally gorgeous. With a bit of a Pretty Woman feel, you know, without the solicitation, this was a really sweet story that I found very easy to read. Cassie has scrimped and saved to get to Nova Station with hopes of a better job and future. Unfortunately, no one wants to hire her and she doesn’t have enough to get home. So when she is suddenly hired, sight unseen, by a guy who clearly isn’t taking things all that seriously, she is understandably wary. But she agrees to help him get his business together, and he begins to care. About the work, and about Cassie. But things are bound to be complicated, he being from the elite of society, and her from the lowest. These two were pretty gorgeous and fun. Cassie was honest and hardworking, and opened Errytt’s eyes to the world outside of his privilege. Errytt didn’t really see any reason not to see Cassie for who she was, and not judge her for her background. Their story was sweet, had a yummy amount of steam, and was set in a interesting world I’d like to read more of.
This is a sci-fi monster romance. Nothing mind blowing but a good bingeworthy book, I guess.
I read the 2nd book of this series before. And now I came back for this one. Cassie severely lacks self-control. She just couldn't "help" herself.
Erryt. Bruh, I still don't know how to pronounce his name😂😂😂. He was kind of an impulsive idiot. I did like the chemistry between the leads though. But at the same time it all felt like insta love and more of sexual compatability than personal.
Another thing I liked was the third act break up. I know! It's a shocker for sure. But I think both leads needed that space and the reason was also pretty feasible. Like, I don't see this struggle between love and money in romance much now. However, it was a refreshing feeling because Erryt really seemed way over his head there. In the end, they stuck out for each other. Their cute moments were also definitely a plus.
Again, nothing mind blowing, kinda average romance between the poor low self-esteem girl and the irresponsible second generation polar bear🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
“I get this sense when you’re around, like everything else in my life is less real.”
This book is nothing like I thought it would be based on the blurb. To begin with I was happy to discover it occurs in the same world as Ami’s other two series. Errytt isn’t Ardun but there are some on Nova Station, which is located in Edgespace.
I thought Errytt was going to be a big, grumpy hero but he’s not. He’s actually a rich, charming playboy who’s main focus in life is having fun. Cassie, the heroine, is his practical, hard working, human assistant who definitely brings out the best in him. I very much enjoyed watching them fall in love and the changes they made to each other. I hope this is the start of a new series and not just a stand-alone as I really enjoyed meeting the Ximian and think they would be fun to have in future books.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
3.5stars Plot: Good 6/10 Characters: 6/10 Female lead: Average. Male lead(s): Alien. Recommend: yes Read it again: No. Continue with the series: standalone. Writing style: Good. Read more from this author(s): Yes, maybe in the future.
A standard book. It delivers on everything it said it would and the romance scenes are good. Not a lot of world building or plot. Insta-loveish.
Errytt is a mess, Hes a playboy with no motivation to do anything but the bare minimum to get by. His parents sent him to Edgespace as a punishment for crashing a space cruiser.
Cass is poor and from a space junk field. She has no qualifications but she's hard working. She sees Errytts advertisement for a job and rings not expecting for the man himself to answer. When she gets there, he is still in bed and the place is a mess. Shes promptly hired to be his secretary. But they have a instant attraction to one another.
For context I haven’t read in a few months yet I picked this up and read it and it was like a breath of fresh air after holding it too long underwater. I hope that’s understandable after such a long hiatus from reading. I just wanna say this book was wonderful to read despite my not liking dating your bosses as a trope; this was done right and yet was so incredibly frustrating towards mid end I wanted to give the mmc some shaken brain syndrome so I shook my kindle instead to shake some sense into him. I really felt for Cass here. Although I didn’t cry myself or shout out with laughter (which is why it’s not five stars) it did make me feel for the characters pretty deeply anyway. I’m so excited to have read this though as now I want more and with my appetite wet with this sweet, knotty read I’m just ecstatic. So much fun reading this rags to lovers story. Gotta love billionaires using cash like it’s as ordinary as dirt right? Wooo-yeah!
This was a short romance, and a fun mix between a regular billionaire romance and some good ol' alien porn. Personally for me it lacked a lot of the Sci-fi elements I love, but also not enough of a billionaire romance to feel like it fitted into either catagory, and pulling off neither very well. This had promise of being good. The writing didn't blow me away but it wasn't terrible. The characters were really lacking for me however. I didn't connect with their of them. They weren't unlikable but they also weren't likeable - which left me feeling more annoyed because at least bad characters make me feel something, rather than these just leaving me emotionless. The plot was lacking, but again I could see the promise of something that could be good. Overall, not really for me. Not sure I'll continue with the series.
I think I did good to get to 61%, this book is dreadful and anyone who's rated it 4 stars is frankly an idiot.
The mc is literally one of the worst mcs ever written. He acts like a naive 13 yr old boy! The author tries for spoilt rich billionaire but thats not what we get, my teenage boys act more mature than this idiot. Nothing remotely attractive about him in any sense whatsoever!
The fmc, where do I even start on this pathetic excuse for a female character? Oh shes desperate for a job, gets one with the dumb mc and within 48 hours she's already fucked him. Yeah for morality and feminism! No such thing in space. Ugh its cringe worthy dialogue and so weak in plot, its like its been written by a 16 yr old fantasising about a space adventure its just so damn bad.
Corny, cringe worthy, predictable, tedious, no plot, terrible characters and horrendous writing.
Down on her luck, Cassie is ecstatic to managed to find a job for herself, with the playboy billionaire Ximian, Errytt. Errytt has to prove he isn’t a lazy, good-for-nothing, while Cassie is just looking to make ends meet. This might just be the perfect thing for them both…
I can’t say that I much liked Errytt in this book, probably even for about 75% of the book. Fortunately he managed to redeem himself at the last minute, so that was good. Otherwise, this was a fun and quick read, which unfortunately didn’t really tell us much about the Ximians- I would love to know more about them, and their culture. If you enjoy a steamy, sci-fi romance, you’ll probably enjoy this futuristic, space-themed read with its alien hero.
