Немският философ Фридрих Ницше 1844 - 1900 е навярно най-четеният философ на света днес, но той също така е и най-малко разбраният.
Приносът му във философията включва декларацията, че Бог е мъртъв, и следствията, което има това моралната философия. Тук Ницше атакува религиозната вяра, както и убедеността в обективните ценности или истини. Ние трябва да изберем основните си ценности. Тази неясна концепция предполага, че сме способни да контролираме и насочваме вътрешните си подтици, което е форма на самоовластяване. Освен това отликата на свръхчовека от останалите, от "стадото", е способността да ръководи живота си, дори ако това означава, че той или тя ще трябва да живее същия живот отново и отново. Това е ницшеанската концепция за вечното повторение - мислен експеримент, предназначен да "изпита" готовността на индивида и желанието му за самоутвърждение.
Такива прочути философи, като Жан-Пол Сартр, Албер Камю и Мишел Фуко, са повлияни от неговите идеи и методология.
Извън философията психологическите му прозрения повлияват на вкусовете на Карл Юнг, а стилът му и ученията му въздействат на писатели и художници, сред които са Юджийн O'Нийл, Милан Кундера, Томас Ман, Никос Казандзакис и Марк Ротко.

Nietzsche'yi hiç bilmeden bu kitabı okumak biraz kuru kaçabilir.
Onun yaşadıklarını,aşklarını,felsefesini biraz olsun hazmetmeden okunursa pek bir şey ifade etmeyebilir,çok da akılda kalıcı olmaz.
Her ne kadar öyle görünse de; bir başlangıç kitabı değil,bilakis pekiştirme amaçlı bir kaynak olarak görülmelidir.
Onun yaşadıklarını,aşklarını,felsefesini biraz olsun hazmetmeden okunursa pek bir şey ifade etmeyebilir,çok da akılda kalıcı olmaz.

An enjoyable little book that did a pretty good job of simply and clearly explaining 'The Key Ideas' of Nietzsche - very god for absolute beginners to academic philosophy.
I was glad that Jackson included ample detail of Nietzsche's personal life.
The main weakness of the book is that Jackson fails to maintain the objective, outside perspective upon Nietzsche and his philosophy as he intends the book to have. Jackson includes sections of the different ways to read Nietzsche, different viewpoints and analyses etc. - but in spite of this, his own viewpoint shines too strongly, namely through the tone of his writing. I found myself frequently getting frustrated that he was trying to influence the reader too much to adhere to his own view of Nietzsche rather than providing an objective view and allowing the reader to come to their own conclusions. To a certain extent this is inevitable in any book, but I thought he could've done a better job of it.
However, if you maintain a critical eye, it remains a very good, easy introduction to a complicated philosopher.

A very easy-to-read guide, but hardly an exhaustive one. Just enough for fun or to know the basics.

Başlık hakkını veriyor. Anlaşılır üslup kullanılmış. Nietzsche'nin birkaç kitabını, onun hakkında yazılmış eleştirileri, roman ve çizgi romanları okumuş biri olarak çok faydalı buldum. Kafamdaki Nietzsche portresinin eksik kalan yerlerini tamamladı. Nietzsche'yi anlamak ve tanımak isteyenler için ideal bir kitap.
