Homo numericus: La "civilisation" qui vient

L’auteur reconnu de La prospérité du vice et d’autres best-sellers décrypte avec une joyeuse férocité cette prétendue « civilisation » qui va bouleverser nos vies. L’amour ? Désormais c’est Tinder ! Le bureau ? En télétravail ! Un nouveau job ? Ce sont les algorithmes qui recrutent ! Les partis politiques ? C’est sur Twitter ! Au centre de ce nouveau monde ? Homo Numericus, un être submergé de contradictions. Il veut tout contrôler, mais il est lui-même irrationnel et impulsif, poussé à des comportements addictifs par ces mêmes algorithmes qui surveillent les moindres détails de son existence.

Faut-il désespérer ? Pas nécessairement. La révolution numérique répond aux attentes d’une société qui voudrait que toute parole soit écoutée, sans vérité révélée. Trouver la voie qui permette d’accomplir cette utopie : telle est aussi l’ambition de ce livre.

هذا كتاب عن بؤس الإنسان الرقمي، وهو الإنسان المحكوم بالتكنولوجيا الرقمية.
يعرض الكاتب لجوانب عدة من مظاهر هذا البؤس. وخاصة في مجال السياسة والاجتماع. وإذ يعرض لمشاكل هذا العيش الرقمي وما يؤدي إليه، فإنه يبدأ بمقدمات طويلة متشعبة مسهبة ليصل إلى ما يريد قوله. وهذه المقدمات الطويلة للوصول إلى الأفكار المحددة هي عيب الكتاب الأكبر.
هذا مثال على الكتب التي كان يمكن اختزالها في مقال من صفحات معدودات! لكن ما الحيلة مع الأسلوب الفرنسي في الكتابة؟

احتجتُ في بعض المواضع إلى ترجمة بعض العناوين الواردة في المتن وإلى بعض الإفادات من المترجم حول الكتب التي يتحدث عنها الكاتب، فليس الغرض من الترجمة نقل النص من لغة إلى أخرى وحسب..

لفتات مخيفة جدا. عن الكسل الذهني والبدني للإنسان اليوم. الإنتقال من عالم صانِع إلى عالم مستهلِك فقط. من الإنتاج إلى الإستهلاك، إلى توفير أكمَل سبل الراحة لهذا الكائن البشري. عجيب كيف يصنع الإنسان أداة «ليدمّر» بها نفسه!

تناول الكتاب زوايا هامة جدا فيما يخص الذكاء الاصطناعي واعتمادنا عليه… أكثر شيء لافت بالنسبة لي كان جزئية: الأخلاق الرقمية

L’auteur nous présente une synthèse de ses lectures. Il s’éloigne souvent du sujet central, et j’ai souvent eu du mal à voir où il s’en allait. Beaucoup d’informations déjà lues ailleurs.

يأخذ المؤلف القرّاء في رحلة تجمع بين الحقائق الواقعية، وتوقعات المستقبل، وإشارات من الخيال العلمي. بعض آرائه متفائلة، وأخرى تحذيرية، لكنها جميعًا تبدو متزنة ومحفّزة للتفكير.

في عدة مواضع، يعرض المؤلف التكنولوجيا بطريقة لا تسمح للقارئ برؤيتها كخيرٍ مطلق أو شرٍ مطلق. فعلى سبيل المثال، أسهم الانتشار الواسع لوسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في تسهيل تبادل المعرفة، ومكّن الناس حول العالم من مشاركة الأفكار والحكمة. لكن في المقابل، أزال أيضًا الحواجز أمام انتشار العنصرية والعنف والأفكار المتطرفة. وبالتوازي، يسلّط المؤلف الضوء على القوة الهائلة التي تمتلكها شركات التكنولوجيا الكبرى، المعروفة باسم GAFA (غوغل، آبل، فيسبوك، وأمازون). هذه الشركات تجمع كميات ضخمة من البيانات الشخصية الحساسة، وتستخدم أساليب نفسية متعددة لإبقاء المستخدمين مدمنين على منصاتها، بحيث تبقى كل لحظة من حياتهم متصلة بالعالم الرقمي.

وعلى الرغم من تصنيف الكتاب كعمل فلسفي، إلا أنه سهل القراءة بشكل مفاجئ. فهل يعود ذلك إلى تركيزه على العالم الرقمي؟ أم إلى أسلوب الكاتب نفسه؟ وعلى الرغم من تمحوره حول الرقمنة، ينجح الكتاب في دمج القضايا السياسية والاجتماعية بسلاسة وبطريقة مشوّقة.

الكتاب حديث نسبيًا، لكنه يفتقر إلى التعمق في تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي ونماذج اللغة الكبيرة (AI-LLM). وكنت أتمنى لو تناول المؤلف هذا المجال المتطور وطرح وجهة نظره حوله.

ومن منظور الذكاء الاصطناعي، يرى المؤلف أنه رغم التأثير العميق للتكنولوجيا على الحضارة الحديثة، لا يزال الإنسان يمتلك اليد العليا… على الأقل في الوقت الحالي. وقد أعجبني طرحه لمفهوم الإبداع الآلي؛ فالذكاء الاصطناعي قادر على إنتاج الفن والموسيقى وحتى الرقص، لكن الحكم على ما إذا كان هذا الإبداع عبقريًا أم مجرد ضجيج رقمي، يبقى حكرًا على الإنسان.

كتاب مرعب يضخ فيه الكاتب عدد هائل من الكتب التي تساعده في إيضاح فكرته ويستشهد بالعديد من الأفكار القديم منها والحديث في محاولة لفهم الحاضر المتغير الذي نعيش فيه
في فصول عدة يتكلم عن التغيرات الاجتماعية والاقتصادية التي تحول العالم وتؤثر في الإنسان وطباعه وطريقة عيشة مرورا بأزمة مثل كورونا إلى الحرب العالمية الأولى والثانية
الكاتب مثقف بشكل موسوعي ويبحر بك في عالم من الأفكار والرؤية التي تزداد اتساع بمجرد دخولك إلى عالم من المتغيرات والأفكار والكتب التي تستحضر الازمات وتدرسها وتوضح ما ينتج عنها
كتاب قيم ويستحق القراءة بمتعن وهدوء

الكتاب ممتع من حيث الجمع للكثير من الدراسات والمراجع في نفس الاتجاه، لكنه يقز أحيانا الى استنتاجات لا علاقة بها بالمقدمات، من ناحية أخرى فهو يتجاهل الشرق الاوسط رغم ان الكاتب تونسي، كمثل قوله؛ ظننا ان زمن الحروب انتهى ثم جاءت حرب اوكرانيا! حقاً؟ في اي عالم عاجي يعيش؟! يتحيز الكاتب أيضًا لليهود عموما، لكل بعقل منفتح واذا كنت اكبر عقلا من المؤلف فالكتاب نقطة بداية ممتعة لرحلة طويلة في اتجاه الى اين تذهب البشرية.

يستند الكتاب إلى أسس ودراسات علمية في مناقشته للموضوعات المختلفة، المرتبطة بالعالم الرقمي والحضارة والمجتمعات، لغة السرد بسيطة مقبولة، ولكن شعرت بأن الموضوعات متفككة لا يوجد رابط بينها، أو تسلسل منطقي.. ولكن لا أنكر أنه كان مُثري بالمعلومات وممتع في ال١٠٠ صفحة الأولى.

Un assaig que es llegeix amb facilitat i que resulta interessant; tot i que el contingut no acaba de lligar amb el títol i, en alguns aspectes, resulta poc clar en les conclusions. L’autor fa un diagnòstic sobre els riscos i les possibilitats, les llums i les ombres d’un temps profundament ambivalent. Ho fa sense catastrofismes i sense moralitzar, però amb un sentit crític i explorant vies per ressistir un sistema que promou l’addicció compulsiva i la vigilància extrema.
