Fans of Christina Lauren and Tessa Bailey will adore this witty and unforgettable rom-com about skyways, highways, and all the perfectly wrong ways to fall in love.

As the black sheep of the family, choreographer Cassidy Bliss vowed she’d do anything to get home in time to help with her sister’s wedding and avoid family disappointment… again . She just never expected “anything” would involve sharing the last rental car with the jerk who cut her off in line at the airport this morning. But horrible times apparently call for here-goes-nothing measures.

Driving across the country with Luke “life can be solved with a spreadsheet” Carlisle must be a penance for some crime she committed. Because the second he opens his mouth, it’s all she can do to not maim him with her carry-on. But somewhere between his surprisingly thoughtful snack sharing and his uncanny ability to see straight to the core of her, her feelings go unchecked.

Suddenly, their crackling chemistry is just one more thing they have to navigate―and it couldn’t come at a worse time. But after a lifetime of letting the expectations and needs of others drive her life, Cassidy must decide if she’s ready to take the wheel once and for all.

4.5⭐
Genre ~ contemporary romance
Setting ~ plane from North Carolina to Missouri and then road trip to California
Publication date ~ May 23, 2023
Est page Count ~333 (38 chapters +e)
Audio length ~ 10 hours 52 minutes
Narrator ~ Zura Johnson, James Cavenaugh
POV ~ dual 1st
Featuring ~ black sheep, choreographer, actuary, minimal steamage

Cassidy & Luke are both on their way to California to see their family. Cassidy for her sister's wedding and Luke to help his sister with their ill mother.

If something could go wrong on their trip it did. I felt like I was tagging along on their journey of one mishap to the next.

Overall, I had a fun time with this one. They were both sweet and I thought they had great chemistry. Meh with the 3rd act, but I could kind of see where it was coming from. Why can't adults communicate and not assume, though? I already returned my library copy, so I can't remember how old they were, definitely in their late 20's if not 30's. Either are proper communicating ages.

Side note ~ I was impressed that the pretzels were able to survive what they went through 🙄, but then why waste them and let them fall out of the bag? In case you were wondering, which probably not, but anyway pretzels are my 2nd favorite snack after popcorn.

Narration notes:
Fabulous narration by both.

Planes, Trains, and all the Feels by Livy Hart
Contemporary romantic comedy. Grumpy sunshine.
Cassidy is n the way to her sister’s wedding to help with all the little details that keep changing. The parking lot at the airport is busy and another car jumps right into the spot she was waiting to pull into. She tries to convince the driver to move, but he’s on his phone and trying to catch a plane as well. Cassidy is stressed and in a hurry but she’s determined.
Luke’s mother is sick and the caregiver role is the burden of his sister. He’s going to surprise them with a visit and hopefully help lighten thee load. The woman from the parking lot is yelling at him on the plane for some reason. He just wants to get to his family.
But there’s a problem with the plane and they land far away from their destination. And there’s a storm. And the car rental agency is closed and when they reopen, available cars are limited. Events continue to snowball as Cassidy and Luke team up to try to get to California.

It’s a trip of mishaps and misdirections. We learn more about each families issues as Cassidy and Luke are delayed and try their best to get across the country.
Some funny antics, some amusing problems with transportation. A bit of angst from family.
Reminded me a lot of one of those Hallmark movies.
Cute.

I tried to make it to the sex but I couldn’t do it—by the point I decided to DNF I kept fast forwarding just to see but shawty was ELUSIVE.

There’s nothing wrong with this I guess? But I dislike how the the heroine was written and the plot isn’t sparking any joy. Cassidy is simply Not funny or quirkily relatable…but I can tell that’s the opposite of what the author was going for 😭 I’m sorry but come on your rental car was literally just smashed by a semi but yay! the pretzels survived??? I was like yes girl give us nothing, while he of course was like wow she’s so cute.

Ultimately, the writing style just wasn’t for me. Everything about the book felt like a generic contemporary romance. The best it was gonna do was three stars so I saved myself the remaining three hours. I got to chapter 16 out of like 30 something? Luke’s narrator was better, but Cassidy’s still rubbed me the wrong way (her guy voice is tragic).

4 ⭐️ This was so much fun!

"It's a travel sh*tstorm and we're stuck in it together."

WHAT TO EXPECT:
✨ he's a kind, 'married to his work' consultant trying to get home to see his mom and sister
✨ she's a carefree, fun-loving dancer trying to make it to her sister's wedding
✨ they get off on the wrong foot
✨ everything goes wrong
✨ road trip shenanigans
✨ forced proximity
✨ opposite attract
✨ grumpy x sunshine
✨ great banter
✨ lots of tension
✨ denial of attraction
✨ miscommunication
✨ 2/5 spice
✨ light exhibitionism and hot car sex
✨ complicated family dynamics
✨ third act breakup (but it makes sense)
✨ HEA
✨ dual pov

My Thoughts:

Is the story ridiculous? Yes! But is it worth the read? Absolutely!

The entire plot centers around everything going wrong, yet somehow, the story felt entirely plausible in an unrealistic, fun, rom-com way. Cassidy and Luke may have just been trying to get home, but what they find in themselves and with each other along the way changes their lives forever.

Here's what I love most about this story:

The complexity of the characters. Cassidy and Luke have different personalities, interesting backstories, unique family histories, and relatable insecurities. And what I appreciate most is that Livy Hart took her time peeling back the layers to these characters so we progressively understand and fall in love with them throughout the story. PS: This one's for the girlies who've never felt good enough.

The romance between Cassidy and Luke. They are total opposites. Yet somehow, they are exactly what they needed. Both Cassidy and Luke's family dramas and insecurities are inextricably linked, and it was heartbreaking seeing them both struggle. However, I loved how over time, they realized how those things were holding them back, and if they wanted to live a happy, fulfilled life and open themselves up fully to love, then they needed to make changes. It was wonderful watching them grow as individuals and then as a couple.

The sex scenes . . 🥵 The tension was smoldering, and their chemistry was explosive! I don't even believe in God, but I think I need to go to church after reading that! They were THAT HOT! The car scene in Moab under the stars is legit my dream date, so definitely going to be showing that to my husband (lol). I also wasn't the light exhibitionism, but I'm not complaining!

PS: I need Will and Berkley's story next! The tension was so amazing between these two!

So why isn't this getting 5-stars?

It took me a bit to fully invest at the beginning. There might have been a lot going on since we were introduced to two characters, and then they immediately have to deal with a travel nightmare. But I was hooked 25% in when they finally make their way home together in a rental car, and tensions start to rise.

I sometimes skimmed during some of the non-dialogue. The writing isn't bad at all. It was just sometimes a bit wordy.

Overall, this is a delightful story that I 100% recommend reading! I saw the film Planes, Trains, and Automobiles when I was very young, and this is a much more fun, charming, sexy version of that. I laughed at the banter, felt emotional over the character's struggles, and felt *things* when things started getting spicy. It was the perfect story to read during my flight to the UK.

Thank you so much, Entangled Publishing and NetGalley, for the arc copy! As always, all opinions are my own.

I just couldn't engage with this story. It's too consistently manipulated for weirdness. Which it kind of projects and should probably have been an expectation, but I found I just couldn't go along. The final straw came when their rental car gets hit by a semi and the run up is:
* Cassie freaks out in a hail storm because zero visibility (hail storms don't have zero visibility, they have icy roads and thumping hard balls of fury hitting things, but visibility isn't the problem). She "can't see the road", apparently, and I call shenanigans.
* So she pulls over, onto the grass, so she's way off the road.
* They both decide that peeing in a nearby "forest" is a good idea. We learn that Luke fears snakes. Who apparently might come out in hail storms?!?
* Kabam! Semi hits car despite being off the road, in the grass.
* Car explodes. (Say what?!?)
* We learn that both their phones, and wallets, are for some reason in the car.

And that's all just too much. I think it was both their phones and their wallets being toast that did me in. I know it isn't just me, but when I go anywhere, I snag my phone. It's a habit on exiting the car to pull the phone with me. But I could forgive that if it weren't for the wallets. My wallet never leaves my back pocket (unless I'm at home in my bedroom). Luke, at a minimum, shouldn't be completely divested of all resources. Oh, and the car exploding? Like, a rental would have the built-up grime and grease that a spark might catch to light it on fire?

This scene broke me. I liked the characters and them getting to know one another was a bit sweet. I particularly liked Cassie seeing (and appreciating) Luke's softer, protective side. I liked him a lot by the time we got to the contrivance cascade.

But I no longer trust the author to not insert schticky idiocy into the tale and I'm out at this point. One star and a heaping of disappointment at that.

𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐫𝐛
Planes, Trains, And All The Feels follows Cassidy and Luke—two strangers, thrown together as co-passengers, each eager to reach their destination. But the universe seems to have other plans. Caught in a string of unexpected coincidences, the two find themselves stuck with each other. What begins as mutual annoyance slowly unravels into something softer, something beautiful. Yet, even as feelings grow, they’re aware their time together is short-lived—and soon, they’ll have to part ways. But are they really ready to let go?

𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭
A fast-paced contemporary romance with dual POVs—Cassidy and Luke’s—giving us a deeper glimpse into both their hearts. It’s a feel-good journey filled with heartwarming, smile-inducing moments that make it completely worth the read.

There were a 𝘭𝘰𝘵 of coincidences—I mean, seriously, 𝘢 𝘭𝘰𝘵! It got to the point where I couldn’t help but laugh and think, “That’s a bit much...even a little unrealistic.” But hey, it’s fiction—anything can happen, right?😁

Cassidy and Luke’s chemistry was absolutely top-notch, and their snarky banter kicked off right from the beginning—I looved every second of it. Their personalities were so different, yet somehow perfectly aligned. And the romance? It unfolded beautifully through those small, tender moments of care and quiet concern that made it all the more heart-melting.

The romance builds up slowly and steadily, warming my heart with every turn of the page. And oh—the sexual tension between these two? Absolutely sizzling🤭 The smut? Loved it. Enjoyed every bit of it. These two definitely know how to turn up the heat😉

What I truly enjoyed was the growing bond and the deeper understanding they developed for each other. The way they opened up about their families and personal struggles—and genuinely tried to see the world through the other’s eyes—was just beautiful. And the way they embraced each other, flaws and all, made it all the more heartwarming.

"𝑩𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝑰 𝒇𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖.”

Their characters were wonderfully written. Cassidy—bubbly, talkative, and full of life—was a strong-headed FMC I absolutely loved. Luke, in contrast, was shy and reserved, but quietly confident and strong enough to go after what he truly wanted.

The ending was sweet and heartwarming, giving all the feels. It’s a charming, easy read you’ll finish in just a few sittings. A truly wonderful experience of romance—and a reminder that "𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝, 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥"💘

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐓𝐋;𝐃𝐑)
Overall, this was a fast-paced, feel-good ride packed with heartwarming moments, steamy romance, and a strong-headed FMC I couldn’t help but love. And yes—there’s a ridiculous number of coincidences, but somehow, they totally work😄 Short, sweet, and absolutely worth it.

Ok, hear me out. Livy Hart is one of my new favorite authors and I will tell you why.
1. ALL THE FEELS. Cassidy and Luke stole my heart from chapter one. Literally. A grumpy man who encounters a sunshine mess of a woman and falls almost immdiately, but fights it as long as he can? Catnip for me.
2. Hysterical one liners. I was laughing out loud within the first chapter. Livy's sense of humor is my sense of humor and I didn't want to put this book down.
3. Butterflies in my belly. As with Sam in TFTM, Luke is up there with top book boyfriends. The way her male characters are written is so good; they feel like real human beings and could be the guy next door. I am here for that, always.
4. Relatable heroines. If I can't relate, I can't put myself into the book and I can't connect with the story. Cassidy, while a mess, was just so loveable and relatable. She wanted to do the best for everyone even if it took all she had left to give.
5. A happy ending. You may have a tough time getting there, but because the characters are real, with flaws that we all have, you root for them the entire ride. Luke's family situation made my heart hurt for him and I loved seeing how he was so free when he was with Cassidy. Cassidy had so much drama with her mother and her expectations but Luke was there, helping her the whole way. They complemented each other so well.
In conclusion, run, don't walk, to pick up any and all books by Livy Hart.

Planes, Trains and All the Feels was a fun time. Some scenes even surprised me with how good they were and now I want to get a physical copy.

I listened to the audiobook, I was waiting for it to come out and then for it to get to the library and then I was finally able to borrow it yay. I'd listen to this again, or reread it.

The romance felt realistic, and I could believe the two leads were in love by the end, even though the whole book happened over the course of only a few days. BUT WHEN IT WORKS, IT WORKS OKAY.

And I surprisingly didn't mind the sex scenes? The first one felt a bit out of place, but the others made sense.

4.5 ⭐ The most perfect romcom I've read in years!

This book's put me in a book slump this whole week since I finished it. I don't know what it had in it, but I was hooked! I fell head first and loved every second. The writing flowed so perfectly. The plot was fast, easy to follow, fun and romantic. I didn't want it to end! And although I'll be the first to admit that it doesn't necessarily bring anything new to the genre... omg I loved it!

Cassidy needs to get to LA for her sister wedding, but the world seems to be conspiring against her. Getting to the airport in her piece of junk car is enough of a challenge, and she definitely doesn't need a hot, suited up guy to steal the only parking spot available and then ignore her when she screams to hold the shuttle bus doors open. And she seriously doesn't need his help when she finds that they're on the same plane to LA... Or when that plane needs to make an emergency landing in the middle of nowhere. Luke hates planes with a passion, but his mother and sister are in LA and there's nothing that he wouldn't do to be there for them. Including but not limited to putting up with a gorgeous redhead that seems to want to hate him on principle.

This book is everything I've ever wanted in a romcom. It was kind of predictable, but in the best ways. It was ridiculous enough to bring levity into every situation, no matter how dire or down-right tragic. The main characters are both so lovable for complete different reasons, which makes it feel like they were perfect for each other. Like a puzzle piece that fits perfectly with the one shaped in the exact opposite way. The whole opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine trope gets me every time! And the spice was so, so good. It took a while to get there, but it was 100% worth the wait. The quiet hero with a hidden dirty side is flawless to me.

The only thing that's keeping me from giving it the whole 5 stars is the miscommunication/ refusal to confirm or communicate openly with one another. It's so frustrating, especially in Dual POV books like this one, because we know! We all know that they both want the same thing, but safe from screaming into my kindle for them to talk, there's nothing to be done about it. That being said, I'm not super-mad about the 3rd act break up, which I tend to hate, but this one I kind of understand. Kind of... There's also a lot of difficult/ abusive family dynamics, with disease and addiction involved, so take those TW into account before getting into it.

But if you take a recommendation from me, give this book a chance! I already want to reread this.

After reading this I promise I'll never complain again about my travels!

Anyway, I loved it, this book was the perfect amount of cute and funny, I smiled the whole time.
I don't have much to say, just go and read it; get lost with the characters in this crazy adventure in the middle of the US, I dare you not to fall in love with them.

I. LOVED. THIS. BOOK.

While I really liked this author's first book (Talk Flirty To Me), PLANES, TRAINS, AND ALL THE FEELS is next level amazing!

Luke and Cassie are the enemies-to-lovers, opposites attract, will-they-or-wont-they couple I needed in my life! The setting of a road trip gone hilariously wrong is snort-laugh perfection.

And the slow burn leads to SERIOUS STEAM that was h-o-t!

PLANES, TRAINS, AND ALL THE FEELS has laughs, spice, and funny occurrences. But it also tackles family expectations, loving yourself, meaningful friendships, and loss, with thoughtfulness—without ever feeling too heavy. A smutty rom-com that also makes you think!

Are Luke and Cassie my new favorite book couple? YES.

I recommend PLANES, TRAINS, AND ALL THE FEELS a gazillion percent! Read it!

𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟: Rated R / 2-4 descriptive sex scenes, may have harsh language.
𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦: parent with addiction, past parent abandonment
𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟𝗦: 2/5 - A bit of drama, but still a pretty light read.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

3.5⭐️ - this was cute and there were some great steamy scenes! Loved that the MCs found each other amidst their family chaos but there was definitely more that needed to be unpacked with their families, esp the moms that felt unresolved at the end. Still this was a fun opposites attract, forced proximity, road trip style romance.

Cassidy Bliss is just trying to get to her sister’s wedding, but after a missed shuttle, a stolen parking spot, and a flight that makes an emergency landing, her plans fall apart. Enter Luke Carlisle, a quiet, methodical stranger she can’t seem to escape. With no other choice, Cassidy and Luke embark on a cross-country journey together by plane, car, train and car again.

What follows is a sweet, opposites-attract romance with a friends-to-lovers vibe, built through banter, mishaps, and the kind of close quarters that make sparks impossible to ignore. The story unfolds over just a few days, yet the connection between Cassidy and Luke feels natural and heartfelt.

The dual POV allows readers to connect with both characters, understanding their motivations and personal growth. The witty banter and sexual tension keep the pages turning, while the deeper themes of self-discovery and family dynamics add depth to the story.

If you're a fan of opposites-attract romances with a touch of humor and a lot of heart, this book is a must-read.

** One of my Top 20 of 2023 Picks on www.JeevesReads.com! **

I absolutely adored it! This had me SMILING from start to finish, with a premise that felt like it was tailor-made for me, and a relationship so compelling that I was hooked from the first interaction. I loved the meet cute, and I loved every chaotic minute that followed - every moment that drew these opposites together. Hart does SUCH a great job of building up the chemistry, delivering the forced proximity, and slowly shifting the relationship from strangers to travel companions to love. It's tough to make a relationship with such a short timeline work, and this did not have any problems in that area. I fell in love with Luke and Cassidy as they were falling into each other, and I was completely immersed in the story. It had me laughing, grinning, and swooning in equal measure, with a storyline so unpredictable that it kept me on my toes. And the slow burn pays off in a big way, with some VERY spicy moments by the end. I devoured the whole thing in one sitting, and my only regret is that it was over so quickly.

The story follows Cassidy, a woman who needs to get home for her sister's wedding. So when a handsome stranger steals her parking spot, makes her miss her shuttle, and then shows up on the same airplane... well, Cassidy isn't amused. And things just go downhill from there. Somehow, Cassidy finds herself agreeing to drive across the country with the infuriating stranger, even though they can't be in the same room without arguing. But as the road trip from you-know-where gets worse and worse, Cassidy and Luke lean on each other in a way neither could've anticipated. Suddenly, being stuck with Luke doesn't feel so terrible, and Cassidy isn't sure what to do with that information.

After loving Talk Flirty to Me, I was eagerly anticipating whatever Hart wrote next. And when I discovered that it was a strangers to lovers road trip romance with enemies(ish) to lovers vibes, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I LOVE it when couples have unique meet cutes and start the story as total strangers, which is exactly how this plays out. I also loved the opposites attract vibes, pairing the sunshiney, talkative Cassidy with the reserved and semi-grump that is Luke. They were fantastic together, and I loved the slow unraveling of their personalities. When you spend every single minute with another person for a length of time, you learn about them very quickly. The forced proximity and constant presence was my favorite part; these two spend almost the entire book together, and every interaction brings them a little closer. There were some seriously unexpected moments that had me laughing, as well as plenty of banter and sexual tension. These two complemented each other SO well, and I loved the person Luke revealed himself to be. Once he let down his guard and finally gave in, not only was the book HOT, but it was also super swoony. So this was just an exceptionally fun ride from start to finish, and it was all too easy to binge. I loved it! I was lucky enough to receive an early copy, and am voluntarily leaving a review of this road trip romance.

I was really enjoying this book at the beginning but I was only able to make it 50% of the way through. It just got a little boring for me after a while and I stopped caring what happened with the characters so I decided not to finish. It’s possible it gets more exciting like it was in the beginning, but it lost my attention where I don’t care to go back to it :/

“I’m not worried about what anyone else wants. You’re my family now.” "We’re the only two people who kiss like we’re alone, no matter where we are. “I’ll put you first and love you most every time. Those are my vows. And frankly, I don’t care if anyone else ever hears them as long as you do.“

This was cute and the plot was fun in a chaotic way. Cassidy and Luke first meet on airplane and don’t have the best encounter. Cassidy is rushing to get to her so sisters wedding and Luke to his family.
Due to weather delays this book turns into different failed trials(sometimes unbelievable)for them to get to their destination. First their plane is delayed and they’re trapped in a rural city with no way of getting to a rental car. Then they finally get a car decide to road trip together but it blows up and they have to go another way. Then they’re on a train and it’s slow. During the time spent together Luke and Cassidy obviously catch feelings for each other but will have to end it when they reach their separate destinations.

I really liked both characters, they’re polar opposites but complimented each other in a good way. The chemistry was doing it work and the spice when they got together was just right. The family/parental issues they both were grappling with was also a good touch and helped me get the 3rd act breakup even if I didn’t necessarily like it. Overall a quick, cute and easy read.

cassidy and luke are my babies and i love them.

i should’ve known, when this was compared to Tessa Bailey, that it’d be spicy. But somehow i overlooked that - imagine my surprise when im just going about my day at work listening to an audiobook and it goes from 0 to 100?!?! And I just had to keep working!

when you think about the timeline of the book (it all taking place within a couple of days), it’s very much instalove. but in my opinion, it’s instalove done right. there’s still tension, and angst.

i really enjoyed this one, and hope there’s a follow up for luke and cassidy’s best friends getting together (yall felt that tension too, right?) 😉

5 star fave for 2023!

Funny, smart, emotional and gorgeously romantic this is an absolute gem of a read! Fun and heartfelt, it made me laugh and swoon, with a wonderfully entertaining road trip, fantastic characters, fabulous chemistry, epic sexual tension, and a passionate, slow burning, opposites-attract romance, this book is a fave for 2023!

It’s been a while since I’ve finished a book and felt so happy and so excited, that I’ve immediately had to come and purge my feelings out into a review, but this book has me feeling all the feels. I can’t believe this is the author’s second book! I’ll definitely be adding Livy Hart to my auto-buy list.

Cassidy is a fun-loving, free spirit who is full of life. She is a choreographer, and is about to travel across the country to California for her sister’s wedding. She’s the maid of honor, and is determined to prove to her constantly disapproving mother that she’s capable and responsible, and not the screw-up that she thinks she is.

Luke is everything Cassidy is not. He is quiet, ordered and precise, an actuary for an insurance company, he’s also travelling to California to see his family – though he’s visiting his sister, and their troubled and unwell mother.

Neither of them want to be making the trip, and their trip gets off to a bad start at arrival at the airport, and by the time they get on the plane, they’re at each other’s throats. Things get worse when an emergency landing has them stuck in a remote airport, and then sharing the last remaining rental car to drive to California. We then follow them through a series of unexpected disasters and bizarre situations (“wet sea ghosts”, LMAO!), and it’s a hilariously entertaining read. Their day-long drive ends up taking WAY longer than expected, with lots of surprises along the way.

And while it’s all unfolding, Cassidy and Luke are bickering, teasing, bantering, and getting to know each other. It’s funny and feisty, and these two complete opposites have some stellar conversations! Luke is so uptight, and Cassidy is a completely filterless social butterfly, and they are so much fun together! But they’re also both dealing with some pretty intense family issues, and their raw and realistic personalities make them so relatable. I just adored them both.

And, of course, the more time they spend together, getting to know each other, attraction blossoms. Not only blossoms, but sizzles. Seriously, the chemistry between them absolutely crackles with sexual tension, and more than just lust, it’s real emotion. They are falling for each other, and though they try to ignore it, there’s no way they can stop it.

“I never expected this.” Vulnerability flashes in his eyes … “I can’t believe you’re real.”

This is a gorgeous romance! Though the story takes place over a few days, it has the feel of a slow burn. The emotion is real, their feelings are strong, and the build-up is absolutely perfect as it gets harder and harder to keep away from each other. And by the time they realise that they can’t, they’re both well in over their heads with the feels, and they fall and fall hard. It’s glorious!

“As a general rule” – his mouth hovers near mine, and we share a breath – “I avoid feeling much of anything. But you make it so goddamn easy.”

Quiet and uptight Luke is actually quite the filthy sex god, and oh holy wow, the sexy time is absolutely sizzling! Passionate and intense, it’s a reflection of all that they’re feeling for each other, and God, those scenes are hot!

“I feel so much I don’t know what to do with it.”

I love the dynamic between these two. More than just falling in mad love, they are changing each other. Cassidy is the breath of fresh air that Luke needs, and he is the steady, loyal influence that she needs. They may be opposites, but they complement each other perfectly, and I adored watching them, and their relationship, change over their time together.

I want to let this woman in. Until I met her, I thought feelings were easily controlled. A choice.
Now I’m riddled with the damn things and they’re winning. Leave it to Cassidy to tornado my beliefs, just like she tornado-ed my trip. In the best way.

They both have some pretty significant family issues to deal with, as well as figuring out whether their road trip romance can actually survive the realities of their real lives, and it’s a beautiful, heartfelt journey that I could not put down.

I want everything.
We’ve only had mere days. I want forever.

I love this book so much. I love the characters, I love their adventure, and I loved watching them fall in love (and they just happen to each have a fabulous best friend screaming out for their own story!). It’s such a fun read, but with a lot of heart, and a beautiful romance, and it’s definitely going down as a fave for 2023!

5 huge stars!

My first read by Livy Hart and absolutely loved it. This is an enemies-to-lovers & grumpy/sunshine romance novel with dual POV.

In this story, we read about Cassidy who is a dancer and was tasked to help her sister in LA plan the wedding of her dreams and Luke, whose life mission is to financially support his mom, sister and nieces by working nonstop. Cassidy and Luke meet for the first time at the airport who are both traveling to LA; but after a series of unfortunate events, they end up taking a road trip to LA. As they embark in this adventure, they learn about their complex family dynamics.

Would love to read a book featuring their best friends, Berkley and Will, as they were hilarious.

An absolute delight from start to finish! Livy Hart put her characters THROUGH IT, but their banter and chemistry made for such a fun and wild ride.

I really loved the focus on familial obligation versus expectation and self-worth. I love that both Cassidy and Luke struggled with these things, but dealt with it very differently. I love that Luke was this straight-laced, buttoned-up guy who went absolutely feral over Cassidy in bed. I love the opposites attract of it all, the road trip setting, and EVERYTHING about their time in Las Vegas. 🥵

A sexy, fun, hilarious read that I absolutely recommend.

Have you ever asked yourself what you would do if someone stole your parking spot at the airport when you are late for you plane? No? Me either. But this happens to Cassidy when Luke steals her spot... and guess what? They end up on the same plane!

This book is over-the-top fun! There were so many curveballs that I honestly did not know what was going to happen next. As you can guess from the title, Cassidy and Luke end up going on an impromptu road trip together to California after a situation with their plane. Cassidy is trying to make it in time for her sister's wedding and Luke is going to surprise his family for a visit.

I loved this book so much! It had great banter, lovable characters, and an interesting plot. Planes, Trains, and All the Feels a phenomenal book that you won't want to put down. This book had me smiling throughout and I enjoyed every second of it, even the parts where someone needed to think things through before they reacted. I am not so patiently waiting for Luke and Cassidy's friend's book already because I know the banter between those two will be just as good!

Since "Trains" is in the title, I actually thought more of the book would occur on a train, but it was actually only a small portion. However, since that's the only thing I didn't like about the book, I can't really complain.

I recommend this one! And cannot wait to read other books by Livy Hart!

Read this if you love:
- Road trips
- Open door romance
- Rom coms
- Enemies-to-friends-to-lovers
- Forced proximity
- One bed
- Weddings

I loved this book! It probably wasn’t the perfect book but I had a ton of fun with it and had a hard time putting it down so it was perfect for me. Cassidy needs to go home in time to fulfill her maid-of-honor duties at her sister’s wedding when she runs into Luke, who is heading home to deal with some family issues. This turned out to be quite an entertaining journey.

Cassidy and Luke were great and I had a blast watching them navigate one obstacle after another. It became obvious as they spent more time together that they were perfect as a couple and had a lot of chemistry. Both of these characters were dealing with some family issues and I liked that they were both able to make some progress in that arena before the book drew to a close so they could focus on moving forward.

I listened to the audiobook for the second half of the book because I hated to put the book down and thought that Zura Johnson and James Cavenaugh did a fantastic job with the story. I thought that both of the narrators did a great job of bringing the characters to life. Their voices complimented each other’s very well and I loved that they were able to add just the right amount of emotion to their reading.

I would definitely recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a fun book that had just the right amount of humor worked into the story. The romance was incredibly well done and I couldn’t wait to see Cassidy and Luke figure things out. I hope to read more of this author’s work very soon.

I was gifted this arc and immediately started reading chapter one out of curiosity because I had never heard of this book before. Needless to say I was having such a fun time I devoured this in one sitting! I went in expecting zero spice, and was pleasantly surprised when we got spice! It was probably 2

I’m all about a cute, HEA romance… and this book had good bones and a story line I could really get into. BUT there was just SO much going on. TOO many story lines!! She had SO many issues, he had SO many issues, then they had SO many travel issues. Just TOO much, put too many issues in one book, it could have used some editing. All I know is that I was fine putting it down, a book that won’t stay with me because there was too much to follow. So many problems, needs a better editor.

Spoilers/Summary:
Cassidy moved to North Carolina from LA to pursue her dance career- maybe to get away from her critical mother. It is her sister’s wedding and she is flying home to spend the week helping. At the airport, Luke steals her parking spot and then doesn’t hold the shuttle for her. (He has AirPods in, it was foggy, her blinker didn’t work) so when they end up on the same plane, she does not like him. But she helps him get through a panic attack (he doesn’t like flying).
Their plane makes an emergency landing when the windshield cracks, then their flight gets all-together cancelled. They get in line for a car, but there aren’t enough cars. Luke gets one and offers to split it with Cass.
She’s talkative and a people person. He’s quiet and needs alone time. But they start ti understand each other.
Then they get into a storm while driving. The hail dents the car all over and scares Cassidy so she pulls over. While they are peeing, the big rig runs into the car and it blows up.
They get a ride into town and end up taking a train. But the train gets delayed because of the weather.
They get on the train but realize that she read the schedule wrong and it is going to take an entire day longer to get to CA.
So then they rent a car again.
It’s just a lot. The transportation situation is a lot and then their lives are also all complicated.
In between all the different modes of transportation, Cassidy is trying to help her sister with wedding disasters. She also goes to see her dad who divorced her mom when they were young and she has never been to his house. So weird- she seems closer to him and doesn’t resent him at all- but he remarried, had a new family, avoided her mothers drama and left his daughters with that crappy woman. But whatever. Cassidy could never live up to her sister.
She has an interview with her dream job.
Her last boyfriend left her and married someone else soon after.
She has a wonderful best friend.
So her life is a lot.
Luke moved to North Carolina to gain experience and make money for his family. He supports his mom- who is a diabetic, bipolar, alcoholic- and his sister and her kids. He feels guilty not being there more. He is trying to get enough experience to move back to Bakersfield and open his own business.
He has a best friend too.
So he has a lot going on too.
Maybe the best friends will get together in book #2.
That could be fun.
They fell in love. They have great hot sex. They spend a night in Vegas- more hot passionate sex. Good sex scenes.
They drive to where Luke’s mom and sister live. His mom is having a procedure and in hospital. His sister didn’t want to worry him.
Luke broke it off with Cass because he felt he needed to be everything for his family and couldn’t be everything for her.
She goes to wedding events broken hearted, her sister isn’t feeling the wedding and talking about calling it off. She and fiancé are totally in love so ridiculous that she doesn’t just talk to him. she ends up leaving on wedding day. Last minute comes in with her dad (who wasn’t going to come because of drama with the mom) Seems like the dad was the missing piece to her wedding jitters.
She calls Luke at wedding to profess love. He is there.
A year and some later, they get married in Vegas. Plan to move back to CA to be closer to family.
Just WAY too much crammed into this book!!!!!

I fell in love with Livy Hart’s writing after reading Talk Flirty to Me, and even more so after chatting with her following our buddy read of the book. I didn’t want to have expectations for Planes but I just knew I was in for a wild ride.

“Wild Ride” is an understatement.

This story has one disaster after another, pushing our straight-laced actuary Luke and perpetually friendly dancer Cassidy to their breaking points, one chapter after another. They are both on a mission to get to southern California to be with family, and the universe is literally doing everything in its power to keep them from getting there. The way Livy writes her characters (Dual POV) and the settings (a literal cross country trip) really makes you feel like you are right there with Luke and Cassidy as they fight their feelings for eachother while balancing their family demands. I do not want to give away too much because literally some of the things that happen had me SHOOK, but if you want to read a romantic comedy that breaks every mold of romance novels, you will absolutely want to read this the minute you can get your hands on it.

Thank you to Netgalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC, and to Livy for letting us always slide into her DMs to react to her literary shenanigans. This one is out on May 23rd but preorder it right now!

TITLE: Planes, Trains, and All the Feels
AUTHOR: Livy Hart
PUB DATE: 05.23.2023 Now Available

Cassidy Bliss is on her way to her sister’s wedding but somehow once again, she may end up disappointing her family. She is already known as the black sheep, so she must get to the wedding no matter what it takes, even if she has to share the last rental car with the douche who was so rude to her in the airport parking lot, to drive cross country, and get to the wedding on time.

Cassidy and Luke are such fun characters to read about - they are complete opposites, and as they travel together, and get to know each other better, ahhhh all the feels on these two! The chemistry is off the charts and I just love them together.

Simply the best!

Oh my gosh this book had me in stitches and the romance is absolutely brilliant!

Ahh, I will never stop searching for the perfect rom-com book that makes me (a bitter, cold-hearted cynic) feel the feels and believe in instant-love but sadly this is not the one. I liked this book well-enough but didn’t find Cassidy or Luke to be very likeable or engaging characters. This journey went on forever and yet somehow they still fell in love after a few mere days. They kept mentioning how they couldn’t “understand” or “didn’t know” one another but surprise! They’ve only known each other for two days! I think my feelings in relation to this book are less a reflection of the book (fun, cute, steamy and sunshiney) and more indicative of the type of content I typically like to read. I especially enjoyed Cassidy’s dynamic with her mum and Luke’s mum’s addiction. I’ll admit the wedding scene phone call had me grinning like a fool! Overall, not the best, not the worst.

☀️Let me put you on the perfect summer read! ✈️🚗🚂🚗

Cassidy is trying to get from NC to CA for her older sister’s wedding. Cass is the black sheep of the family and is her mother’s verbal punching bag, so she’s dreading the wedding but is also using her maid-of-honor title to show her mother that she isn’t a failure. Luke is trying to get from NC to CA to surprise his family. His sister is the permanent caretaker of their mother and he can tell she’s lying to him about how it’s going. When their plane is grounded in the middle of Missouri, the two team up to finish their trek across the country. Travel failures abound (like… there’s a literal explosion 😬).

Tropes:
-dislike to lovers
-grumpy x sunshine
-road trip
-forced proximity

Things I liked:
-The miscommunication MADE SENSE
-How thoughtful Luke is 😍
-Spicy things happen in a car… 🥵🥵🔥🔥
-No needless scenes
-Plot was funny and a bit ridiculous
-Interesting family dynamics
-Easy to fly through (pun and irony intended bc they couldn’t fly to CA…)
-The FMC in general

Livy Hart has had two hits so far in my opinion (Talk Flirty To Me: first novel, second chance romance, she’s an audiobook narrator and needs her ex’s help on a project 😍) and is an auto-buy author for me from here on out!

Thank you Entangled for an early copy of this book. Out now!
