Definitely not something I usually read. This was a new kind of wild I wasn't sure I would like, but by the end, this book got my full attention and I enjoyed the thrilling ride. This starts out being pretty sexy and turns darker as the book progresses.

There were deep issues that were exposed in this book like abuse and transphobia. The author was quite clear in showing the detrimental effects of these. The characters were quite interesting, with none of them necessarily being “good.” Some of them had some growth which was nice to see. The ending sealed it nicely for me.

🔥 Couples Wanted: Review 🔥

Bridget & Roman have the seemingly perfect marriage. He’s an ER doctor, while she, along with her partner & best friend Nikki, co-own Brinique Lux Affair— Event Planning. Their sex life is covetous; they get along great; own everything they could ask for but Bri is hiding something huge from Roman.

One evening while role-playing as two people that meet for the first time at a bar, Bridget runs into a woman in the bathroom who slips her catering card in her hand. But, she never thinks that she will run into her again.

Corrine, the woman she ran into is in a marriage that’s anything but perfect. Her husband Patrick’s behavior is repulsive & he treats Corinne like an object. His desire to be with others is blatantly obvious as is his disrespect of being of a committed man.

When Corrine & Bridget start working together for an annual event at a local club Shadow Lounge, Bridget & Roman are introduced into a whole another lifestyle than what they’re used to.

Who knew in an effort to keep their relationship spicy one night it would eventually lead to a couple inviting them to be swingers…

But, Bridget must be careful because soon after they decide to take part in the action, Corinne is suddenly everywhere & she’s dressing just like Bridget. A blacked out car is also following her.

Is it true that experimentation in love & life should know no boundaries, or should they have left well enough alone?

Not only do Corrine & Patrick end up worse off once he gets what he wants, but Bri & Roman start to see sides of one another they never knew existed.

There was A LOT of information packed into this book & I wish that it was longer & more flushed out. I saw the twist coming at the end & was sad the book went there. There were also some off- putting comments 😬

Told in dual POV by Bridget & Corinne & I didn’t find any of the characters likable.

Though, I commend the LGBTQIA+ rep & pacing was great.

3 ⭐️

TRIGGERS - death of a parent, language, sexual/physical abuse, stereotypes, mistreatment of transgender women.

Thanks #partners @kensingtonbooks & @booksparks for the #gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

2.5 stars rounded up. This whole book just fell flat for me. At times it felt similar to The Marriage Pass, but that book was much more fleshed out.

I was totally drawn into reading this book by the blurb -- I haven't read a swingers book in a while and so this one looked interesting. What is the impact of spouse swapping on a relationship?

When Patrick sees Bridget in a bar, he demands that his wife Corinne approach her to evaluate her interest in swapping. The book starts out with an uncomfortable situation where Patrick just about forces Corinne to make this swap happen. Their marriage is not a good one.

Bridget and her doctor husband Roman have a good life. They both seem happy. Bridget has a budding event planning business and everything seems wonderful in their marriage. They want to keep things spicy too, so Bridget is intrigued with the idea, especially when Corinne's friends and clients who are owners of a sex club offer Bridget a job planning their next party.I'm not sure that coercion is the right word for what goes on here since Bridget goes along with everything without question. So many red flags in this book for me.

There's a good bit of background and family information for each of the leading ladies. While some information is important to the story, particularly Corinne's family, it did slow the story down and wasn't all that interesting. And then there's Bridget who suddenly decides she wants to write a book?? Huh?

Once the wife swapping occurs, things get really crazy, with Corinne becoming obsessed with Roman, Bridget and Roman's marriage suffers and well everything just really explodes in a most unexpected way. The ending of this book was disturbing, and maybe that was what was intended, I don't know. What I do know is while it made me think, I didn't enjoy this. The story was choppy at best, the characters made some really crazy, out of character decisions, and the ending was just too much for this reader. Sorry, while I liked the diversity of characters in Couples Wanted, I just didn't like this story or delivery.

Valentine’s Day is coming and some of us tend to get a little extra kinky. But before you act out that “swingers” fantasy, you may want to read this book first. You might have a change of plans.

Couples Wanted shows what can happen when you choose to dive into the alternative lifestyle and bring other people into your bedroom. “You know I believe in soul ties. You have sex with someone, they leave a piece of themselves with you…. Everyone can’t just walk away from that.”

In the words of the great round the way girl Shaneneh “Oh my goodnesssss”

Bridget and Roman had a great, spicy relationship, but Bridget wanted to test the waters and got more than she bargained for. This story brought the drama from every direction. I thought of the Outcast song, “Me and you, your mama and your cousin, too” because Briana clearly said, “Everybody can get it”.

We get more insight and background into the main two characters’- Briana and Corrine - full court life. I like getting to know Corrine’s backstory, but I wasn’t particularly clear on why she started stalking and mimicking Briana.

I didn’t like Bridget and the impulsive choices she made which changed things so drastically. She was very self-absorbed and lacked accountability for her actions.

The intensity, build up and shame of it all caused me to finish this book in less than 24 hours! I was hooked and very intrigued to see how this messiness would play out, and it ended completely different from what I expected.

I did have some lingering questions:

WTH kinda game did Roman have going on with April? Hmm, what’s the tea? (Oh yea, Dorian spilled it and it was piping hot!!!)
What ended up happening with Brinique Lux Affair? The partnership?
What happened with Patrick in the end?
They have Pappadeaux in ATL?

This would be a great buddy read because there are so many interesting concepts to unpack. Who has read this book? Call me, I need to talk to you!!! We need to talk about these characters, we need to talk about the ending and did everyone get their just desserts, we need to talk about deception, we need to talk about thisssssssss!!!

Based on Briana’s pattern of keeping us updated on previous characters, I expect to see more of them soon!

Thank you Netgalley, Dafina Books, and Author Briana Cole for this ARC.

Hmmm . . . Did I get a different book than everyone else? I struggled to get into this story and never fully did. The writing style was off, confusing. The characters felt scattered as did the plot. In its defense the idea behind it was original and refreshing in the world of psychological thrillers. It's what caught my attention and had me wanting to read it.

Three’s a crowd, especially when it comes to matters of the heart. I knew right out the gate that any arrangement between the two couples was going to be a bad idea. But red flags start to look like Six Flags when you’re having fun. This was my first time reading a book by Briana Cole and I can assure you this won’t be my last time. I was invested from the first chapter. The book kept my attention from start to finish. I think the author did a great job of moving the story along, giving just enough details without dragging scenes out. I appreciate the way she kept me on my toes because every time I thought it had things figured out she said think again.

If you love a little mess and drama the way I do, please give this a read.

I’ve struggled to write this review because this book left a bad taste in my mouth, I even debated just not giving feedback but I read the whole book and I hated it so I have to get these thoughts out somehow.

This book was full of nothing but plot holes and transphobia. Corinne is trans and married to a man, Patrick, who hates her. He is transphobic and abusive. She is obsessed with the other main character, Bridget, who is a straight female. In the end she just wants to be her because her piece of sh*t husband wants her. This is has fatal attraction vibes but with extra mess. None of the characters made good decisions and every decision was either over the top or unnecessary.

This was a great read. This book showed when swinging goes wrong. These couples had slot of issues within themselves. It just seem like the women hit it off in my opinion more. I really didn’t like Patrick he was a complete jerk off. The book was really good to me.
Once again great read.

Bridget and Roman are fairly newly weds who are still keeping their sex life spicy. One evening Bridget runs into a beautiful stranger named Corinne in a bar bathroom. Soon thereafter Corinne insinuates herself into Bridget's life with the hopes of coaxing the couple into a swinging relationship with she and her husband Patrick. Without giving too much away, things turn messy real quick when feelings get involved and jealousy rears it's ugly head. Will any of the couples remain together by the end?

I liked that the two main women had careers and were successful in their own right. There were some steamy scenes but they weren't overly graphic in my opinion. I appreciated the LGBTQIA representation included in the book and really felt for Corinne's struggles as a trans-woman. Corinne's "single white female vibe" coupled with her lack of disclosure provided the primary suspense elements in the book.

Candidly, I haven't read too many swingers books and this one contained a lot more than just a partner swapping storyline. Overall, it was alright.

Hmmm I don’t know about this one! I don’t like when the good characters get the short end of the stick. While what Roman did was wrong but Bridget opened the door for their lives to explode! Bridget was a selfish Heffa in my opinion! The others characters weren’t likable either. It’s fast paced read!

I’d finished one book one evening, before starting in on Couples Wanted. I ended up reading it from start to finish, all night, in one sitting! It really was that good. I had a hard time tearing myself away from the drama that quietly makes itself known when Bridget introduces Roman to the swinging lifestyle. The supposed reactions I thought they might have after going through with it, the potential fall out was nothing compared to what actually happens!

There were definite Single White Female vibes going on between Corinne and Bridget. At first, many of the changes Corinne makes feels harmless and not worth pointing out, yet as the story unfolds, we learn more and more about how tied she feels to Bridget and moreso, to Roman. It puts her on a path to internal destruction, all in the name of acceptance. Patrick isn’t the best husband for Corinne, and she wants what Bridget has.

In particular scenes, I thought, “Oh, okay, I see what’s coming,” and then BAM! It wasn’t what I’d expected at all, particularly where Patrick and Roman are concerned. Ultimately, who is the bad guy? And given all Corinne has gone through while processing wanting to live her best life as best she can, despite what others might think, is it any wonder that she does everything she can to seek out happiness, at any cost?

This was the ultimate thriller. It wasn’t blatantly obvious, but handed out in a much more subtle manner, which keeps the reader guessing. It certainly kept me guessing. Thrown in are plenty of hot and steamy moments that really stood out, balancing out the thrill, making this the perfect psychological five-star experience!

.Bridget and Roman are a young couple looking for more adventure in their fairly new marriage,. They meet Corrinne and Patrick in a restaurant and eventually agree to become part of the partner switching. Unfortunately, what they thought was going to be a one-off turned into a stalking, controlling, suspicious laden nightmare. A really fun read! If you like suspenseful, psycological drama tales, this book is for you.
Thank you NetGalley for providing this copy. This review is totally my own opinion.

This book was really good, but I really did not like the ending. I did not like how Roman was made to be the bad guy when he was the one who was deceived. But all in all, it was a really good book.

After reading Marriage Pass and now this book, I realize without absolute certainty that income someone into your marriage is not a good deal on the slightest but I’m always drawn to these books because I love for the drama.
Starting off, when I initially started reading this book, I couldn’t really decipher the characters from one another because they didn’t really stand out personality wise. They seemed to all blend together. It took a while for me to get them distinguished in my head as the story unfolded.
I enjoyed the nod to Dorian in the book. His life really took a turn for the worse lol. However, he really did represent a nice piece in the puzzle to bring the story home.
I honestly feel like non of these characters needed to be married. They really messsed over marriage as an institution. In my mind, these are the people who are on the forefront of marriage and why people think it’s worthless and not worth getting into!
Bridget was probably the only character I liked and I still have some drawbacks about her.
I really enjoyed the storyline as a whole but there were a few plot holes. I overlooked them while enjoying the story but once it was finished I stoppped and thought about things and just had sooo many questions.
The ending kind of ruined it for me. It just didn’t resolve anything to me but it was still a good book and worth the read.

When swinging goes wrong! Once again I am blown away by Briana Cole's writing. This story took a completely different direction from what I expected. One thing to highlight is the representation of trans characters which I honestly haven't seen much of. I appreciated the care Cole took with these characters. Main character, Bridget, just wanted to try something different with her new husband Roman but quickly realizes that swinging gets dangerous when feelings get involved. This book quickly took us on a psychological thriller where everyone gets pushed to the brink.

Special shoutout to Dorian, the character from The Marriage Pass, that made an appearance and dropped tea at the right time!

This book has a lot going on with a stalker, swinging and transgender representation. Overall I enjoyed this book but thought it was just a lot. I really felt for Corrine and her relationship with her husband and her and bending to make him happy. I thought it was odd that Bridgett and Roman was so secured in their relationship that why try something that can only lead to heartbreak.

I put it down after the third chapter and couldn’t even remember what it was about. I don’t know if the lack of hook is why I lost interest. The story line looked interesting from the description so I’ll give one star for that. I’m not gonna write this author off because their catalog could have another title I might love.

*Thank you to the publisher for ARC of Couples Wanted.

Now, in true Briana Cole fashion we get another messy couple and their story....but this time it's two couples. After Bridget, Roman, Corrine and Patrick literally swamp spouses .... for a night of heated passion what happens after isn't just drama BUT when we say secrets are falling out of the closet. In these houses, they are rolling out.

The story behind each character intriguing and then some, there is a hint of not just treachery but danger. The storylines that the author takes on is done with care especially when it comes to Corrine's character. But what shines through with the story for me was Bridget and Corrine's determination to remain friends in the end.

cw: cheating, abuse; physical, emotional and verbal.

I did not rate this book because it doesn't rate one IMHO. I am reviewing it because I have a lot to say about it.

I usually don't write many reviews and I don't have many triggers so typically I don't even read TWs when they are included with a book. This book definitely needed one but had none. I am actually surprised that I finished this book because there was a turning point in the book where something was withheld that should have been revealed imo. With the way the book reads you can clearly tell that the author did not utilize a sensitivity readers and she should have for the subject matter. This is the second book I've read by said author, the first being The Marriage Pass (highly recommend that story) this one not so much.

There were so many things that were wrong with this book. The only positive I have is that it definitely keeps your attention but thats it. So based on the synopsis if you read those before indulging in books we know that this book is about two couples that end up swinging with each other. And as one can assume everything goes left. The book goes back and forth between Corrine pov and Bridget pov. Early on in one of Corrine's chapters we find out that she is a transwoman. She is madly in love with her husband Patrick and merely desires for him to love her like he did in the beginning. Wrong thing number 1 apparently Corrine husband didnt find out that she was trans until they were four years into their marriage at the time of this story taking place they have been married for 6 years. He has been treating her different ever since he found out. He treats her like crap and them being swingers is something she's agreed to in an attemp to prove how much she truly loves him. Also hoping that it would rekindle his previous feelings for her.

Wrong thing number 2 Corrine and Patrick end up swinging with Bridget and Roman. Her being a transwoman is not conveyed to the man she will be sleeping with Roman. Both Bridget and Roman are unaware of this. I am not trans myself but i find it hard to believe that any transman or transwoman would hide something like this from someone they are being sexually involved with. Especially marrying someone and them not knowing the truth.

Wrong thing number three, I am convinced that any omg moment in the story the author just threw it in for entertainment purposes cuz none of those moments make sense.  Corrine catches Pat cheating, shes convinced that its another women and is looking around the room for this woman that is hiding. But its Patricks male coworker who steps out of the closet shirtless. It is mentioned that Patrick beat Corrine's ass when he found out that she was transgender. And hounded her about him not being gay. this made no sense what so ever for Pat to have treated her the way he did and view her as a man because that is what she was born as but he's on the downlow himself. Him being on the DL didn't really add to the story. And him staying after finding out made no sense for him to treat her the way that he did.

The book doesn't paint transgenders in the best light so that's definitely where a sensitivity reader would have come in handy. I want to feel bad for Corrine but her not being truthful made it hard (I dont think any transman or transwoman would withhold something like this irl from a SO or some one they are just being sexually intimate with) it is wrong to do such a thing and take away someone's ability to chose. But this is something she constantly does. First her husband and then all of the couples they have swapped with. She never openly admitted it, and when she is outted by Dorrian from the previous book she just runs away.

The book doesnt not redeem itself. I only finished because it kept my attention and I was too far in to dnf it.

The story started off good. Had a good feel for it but as it kept going, I really didn’t like the characters were portrayed. Bridget in my option was self as hell to all the folks in her life. I hated how Corrine kept finding herself in abusive situation whether it was mentally or physically. Every man she encountered she endured some sort of disrespect from them. I really felt for the poor girl. It just didn’t sit well with me that the transwoman kept gettin the shit end of the stick and constantly beat on.Corrine’s husband didn’t shock me that he was DL and lastly Roman, i was pretty upset about how his character turned out. He was such an good guy: great husband, amazing father, a successful black doctor then all of a sudden he turns into this raging lunatic? Like literally out if nowhere no signs no read flags just random. Finally after all the BS with Bridget (the drama that went down with her and Nikki or the stepmom issue with her and Roman and his daughter) she gets a happy ending? She had more villian like qualities than anyone in the book. I did like that it was set in the Metro ATL area so I felt submerged in the book other than that eh….

The follow up to A MARRIAGE PASS, COUPLES WANTED focused on Bridget and Roman who has a very successful marriage. This all changes when they meet swingers, Corinne and Patrick. Patrick is instantly obsessed with Bridget and encourages Corinne to entice the other couple into joining in their lifestyle. As the old saying goes, "curiosity killed the cat", it holds true when Bridget and Roman advance down the slippery slope. Corinne's long held secret is revealed and explodes both couples relationship.

Briana has done it again. Relationship drama is her specialty and she engages the readers to keep the pages flipping. Wow, what a ride.

On the surface, Bridget and Roman appear to be the perfect couple. Then, we find out that there are some secrets that may destroy their marriage.

Corrine and Patrick are not your typical couple. They are swingers, who have set their sights on Bridget and Roman. What happens next is scary, and then...even more secrets are revealed.

I enjoyed this book by @bcoleauthor, but it left me with a few questions. For that reason alone, I'm giving it 💎💎💎💎. I do recommend, that you go and read it for yourself.
