The Italian immigrant communities in the US at the dawn of the 20th century were seething with 'the ideal', the dream of a free humanity. Through newly translated texts from 'Cronica Sovversi' we are offered a new window into the movement which spawned the cherished anarchist idealism of Sacco and Vanzetti.
Galleani was hugely influential among American Anarchists, especially among Italian immigrants in the Northeast and New York City-among them the readers of his journal Cronaca Souversiva were such as Sacco and Vanzetti, probably "Mike Buda" aka Boda-(the first car bomber--Wall Street, 1920--horse drawn wagon loaded with explosives--scars of it are still on buildings on Wall Street--)-and a great many others, whom the Palmer raids and their successive aftermaths violently persecuted-- Galleani's teachings the little i have read so far, are an inspiring mix of idealism and also the call to Anarchists to fight for their working situations to be changed, these conditions being atrocious, due to the prejudice against Italians-- and as well to fight for their rights and defend themselves
