The author is Leslie Carol Furth. My best friend from high school. Brilliant and funny she succumbed to metastatic breast cancer, devastating friends and family. Her gravestone is a marble bench where she is remembered not only as a mother, wife and daughter but as she is similarly and rightfully so as an Art Historian.
