There were sooo many hot af moments in this book.
I was super excited to see a non-binary MC. I was super impressed with how Clio stayed so neutral even in the bedroom. When Cinder turns into a master and tells them that they will fuck them with their sex, I was damp AF.
I love the adventure and mystery. I was excited to see Inferna still being the HBIC that she is but also so incredibly supportive. Not everyone can master the balance of threating and comforting within the same breath, but she did it.
Mich, Cinder, and Lora were endearing, entertaining, and gave me all the warm fuzzies. I laughed, I screamed, I was turned on.
I enjoy The Office nods. Anne the secretary and Billy the demon were incredibly entertaining. I look forward to the continuation of this series.
I highly recommend anything written by Clio, as this series.

October 17, 2022DNF at 47%. I am not interested in pain in intimacy. This was a difficult read and did not work for me. Reading about someone being stapled during sexy times turned me way off.
I didn’t like the dynamics in this book. I especially dislike that one of the partners is keeping a secret that endangers the other two people. I don’t like when main characters start relationships when I know that they are keeping a vital secret.

Looks like the employees at Warts & Claws Inc. still haven’t learned not to do inappropriate stuff at work. Thank goodness. 😂
We already know Mich and Lora, since they share a desk with Calen in book 1. Lora is very suspicious of the new HR, and that’s fair considering the last one tortured her and she still haven’t received a compensation for that.
But the witch Cinder arrives to fulfill that role and while they are better than Umbridge, they also hide their secrets.
But they find out the 3 of them are mates and need to solve that with a lot of debauchery at the off…I mean, a lot of love and understanding.
Clio always delivers the dirty twisted spice we love mixed with adorable characters and a fun heart-warming narrative. And I always love it.
I absolutely love all 3 of the mcs. None of them were what I was expecting, all 3 were a delightful surprise. Starting with the big and broody lion boy who likes to be used as a chair.
The subplot of the series is very creepy, and I’m already thinking about a lot of different theories about what’s coming next (pun intended), and yet the story is written in a very light way, making you laugh even in the most dark times.
In other words, Clio has done it again. I love it.

Just continuing my monster love phase apparently LOL.
I liked that with this one we got to dive more into the plot (yes, I am a plot person). The sexy times were fun - don't get me wrong - but I also love me a good plot and this one introduced a great addition. I mean, Cinder is literally a spy from the bad guy group! And he totally falls for two of his coworkers. A giant no-no obviously.
I did feel bad for Cinder because he was obviously trying to protect someone and not wanting to work as this undercover spy agent. I loved that Lora and Mich were able to break down his walls literally that first day. The fact that these books take place in a week each is crazy. Lora was all kinds of adorable. The one thing I wish we got more of was her backstory. There were a lot of hints about an ex and something there that she was running from but that was never really brought to light because of everything else going on.
Another fun installment and I look forward to what's next.

3.5⭐️ My first BDSM novella with a Non Binary main character!
I loved seeing Cinder (NBC) play Master to the Mich (MC) and Lora (FC). They're quite intense as a Domx, harsh even, but they get sweet and loving easily around their mates. Cinder lives in fear and terror for the sake of their sister, but all of it takes the back seat when they meet Mich and Lora and they realise how perfect all three of them are together.
The whole omega witches trafficking ring plot is starting to drag on and I hope we get some answers soon.
And of course, this novella gets all 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ / 5!

Okay. I did not like this one as much as the others, partially for personal preferences and also bc oddly it didn't follow through with what I had taken as foreshadowing and such.
But so far I am really enjoying this world and the dynamics within it, more than the Galactic Gems series. I think it's because I get more interactions from the previous polycules - rather than them dropping off what feels like the face of the earth after a brief cameo. It's also more immersive personally as I think I'm more likely to work in an office rather than an intergalactic burlesque show but who knows what the future holds.
For full transparency, I skipped the stapler scene, just because I am a little bitch who also has a metal allergy. I think my score would be even lower if I had forced myself through that <3

Sexy but very pain oriented
Pain just isn’t my thing, but I thought this book had a great portrayal of setting healthy boundaries for kink play. Also, they were such a cute triad!

I really didn't enjoy this book and the respect to pronouns and boundaries within that conversation.
Each of these characters had a reason why love was not on the brain if you will.
Lora was a favorite from book one so I'm glad she got her happily ever after. Cinder is sexy the way they command. The D/s relationships always hit perfectly for me in Clios books. They are so well done with care and knowledge!
Alex the big boss reminds me of the barista with his secrets.
I'm really glad we got to see art and inferna and Calen in this.

Queen Clio back at it again. Her work is so consistently astonishing. The non-binary representation was amazing. I loved seeing Clio’s take and commend her for diving in.
Cinder, Mich and Lora were perfection. I love them. While I did love Inferna, Art and Calen a liiiiitle bit more, CML was still so enjoyable.
With monster romance, you get so many more fun sexual activities and organs. Clio never disappoints with the smut, I can guarantee that. Clio is a queen because she doesn’t do the 3rd act breakup and has a legit problem for the characters to overcome together which I love.

Ok I liked this less than the first but low key my bad bc the book description does talk about fated mates as like an over arching trope for the series. I think fated mates in general as a trope is just an excuse to skip the character chemistry building but that’s my own baggage.
Anyway this also had a pretty intense spice scene involving a stapler! So that was fun and new but didn’t necessarily do it pour moi. Fun to listen to tho
Ugh I’m like just a smidge beyond indifferent on the plot so I’m tempted to keep going but idkkkk it beautiful creative spicy garbage that I eat up - but when I consume this type of book too fast/frequent I start to feel like a perv so might have to pump the brakes

I'm feeling like this is going in the same direction as Lucifer and the Barista. I am curious about Alex and the big bad wolf. Mich was adorable and the three of them went nicely together. Not so sure about the stapling. Curious about Billy and still need to know what happened to Poppins.

"So, you're the new HR rep," the succubus said, studying me as if I were a specimen on a dish.
This book picks up soon after the events of Not So Kind Regards, but now, we have a new HR rep coming to fill the old, evil HR rep's place. Witches and monsters -and readers- alike are understandably wary of the newcomer. The main characters from the first book are still around the office in the periphery, the continuity being something that I enjoyed. But this time, we get to focus on Calen's desk-mates from book 1!
I felt eyes on me and looked up, meeting Mich's gaze. He held it for a moment, and my heart skipped a beat. There was something about him I found comforting, even though he was very clearly off-limit in general. He didn't interact with many in the office, and after all the bullshit with Hazard betraying everyone, I wasn't sure he would improve. Still, he was watching me like he wanted to devour me.
Is Mich my first manticore? It's hard to think back through all the monster smut I've read this past year, but I think he is, and I'm here for it! Something about how the monsters adjusted their more monstrous features while in the office was fun, especially when Mich *insert winky face*
"Alright," Art breathed, looking down at Calen. "Four monsters, two witches. I think we've got this."
There were a few frayed plot edges I wouldn't have minded exploring further - Mich's and even where Cinder and Ember came from. But I like the continued theme of monster and witches having to come together to face the true evils of the HR department!

Fated mates between a pixie, manticore, and nonbinary witch! It’s a novella that takes place over 5 days so everything happened at warp speed. Things develop quickly between Lora, Mich, and Cinder but also believably. They have great chemistry together—seriously hot, staples and all—and are able to deftly navigate Cinder’s big secret that While I would like more world-building details (or even just to know what Lora and Mich actually do at this dating app company??), this was an enjoyable ride.

Clio has done it yet again. She has such an amazing talent. I love that this series also connects with her Creature Cafe series and you get to see glimpses and mentions of previous characters.
This book was top notch. Clio has been notorious for being a writer that is inclusive of every sexual orientation and relationship. I adore that she included a non-binary character in this book. Cinder was such a bad ass master witch.
We learned more about the “company” and what some of their plans are. Although, we are also left with more questions. I’m curious to see how this all plays out and have no doubt that Clio will take us on one hell of a ride.

We learned more about the “company” and what some of their plans are. Although, we are also left with more questions. I’m curious to see how this all plays out and have no doubt that Clio will take us on one hell of a ride.

Book two in the Warts & Claws Inc. series brings us back to the chaotic, spicy, and supernatural workplace setting that makes this world so fun. This time, we’re introduced to Cinder, a non-binary character who was such a great addition to the company and to the developing relationship with Mich and Lora.
I personally found the first book funnier and enjoyed the spice a bit more, but I still had a great time with this one. Lora really stood out as my favorite character, and I loved seeing how the trio’s dynamic unfolded. It also seems like there’s still some danger lurking in the office, so I’m definitely looking forward to continuing the series.

Love it!
Such an intriguing quick read!! Mich, Cinder and Lora are such a sweet throuple. I love the NBi rep. So many different elements in such a small book. The spice was🔥🔥🔥. I just love monster romance with some kink. I didn’t read the first book so I was slightly confused at first but enough was given to put all the pieces together rather quickly. The overall plot was more then smut, which was a nice little surprise considering how how short it is. Definitely recommend.

Not really liking this series
“I had known from the first moment I had seen both of them at the same time that I was theirs. That they were mine. Monsters always knew, always could sense when their mates were close by.”
I loved Creature Cafe so much. I loved every character and every book but this series so far has not been giving what Creature Cafe did. I might lower my rating for book one honestly. In this book, I did not like the master and slave dynamic and the use of the term “master” and “slave”, it’s weird. It made me cringe and just not like Cinder for calling Mich their slave. I didn’t mind them calling Lora their pet. I don’t care for the storyline either. Especially compared to Creature Cafe. I wish this had a character like the Barista. It’s hard not to compare both series. Lora being a switch was cute though, Mich was just an okay character.

This wasn’t my favourite in the series but still good and follows the same storyline throughout the series. You can read these as standalone. I’ve read them in a weird combination 🤣 but they’re all good for different things and nice to see the variation of relationships through the series.
This one isn’t the spiciest in the series either but the scenes are still so good!

ARC REVIEW
Clio has done it again! Another masterpiece monster romance! I know how Clio operates by now and even though I knew something was going to happen, I never see it coming! While the relationship dynamic isn’t my favorite, I thought it was very well written! I usually have a guess at what character will be the focus of the next book, but I don’t have any definite guesses and I can’t wait to be surprised!
