This book has really given me some food for thought, about how to make a house into a home. There are good organisation techniques, and ways in how decorating can be used as a tool in tranquility.

The added touch of decluttering and minimalism really did cement ideas on how (as a new homeowner), it doesn't have to be a one shoe fits all approach. I love the thought of combining both Japanese and Scandinavian styles as both cultures highlight heavily how important wellbeing is.

With the added photos and ideas in this book, with the different advice and information, I would definitely go back to it when working on each, individual room.

The tradition and craftsmanship of the Japandi design style is captured through architectural photography that highlights both the mood and the details of a variety of living spaces. Descriptive narrative provides historical context and practical advice for executing the design aesthetic. The book itself would look lovely displayed on a coffee table or a chigana-dana (different shelf) built-in.
