Rate this book
One night in college a decade ago turned Meredith and Rowan into enemies.
Becoming Portland’s hottest first baseman with a fan base watching his every move, Rowan earned a reputation that annoyed Meredith. But she only had to think about it whenever their mutual best friends brought them together, which is why she was stuck cat-sitting for Rowan on a night that would change her life forever…

When Rowan’s reputation falters, there’s only one person who can fix it. His team’s sweetest day contest is the chance, with money and attention as the prize. Rowan has the money and charm, but he needs the fake girlfriend to win. Meredith needs the money to save her job, and she’s ready to play… If she can accept the fake boyfriend.

Agreeing on a plan to woo the city, Meredith and Rowan realize there’s more to their blossoming friendship. Finding excuses to be together, they quickly fall from rivals to so much more.

When the bases are loaded, Rowan and Meredith need to decide if they can move on from the past and admit their true feelings to hit their moon shot.

Sports romance? ⚾️
Enemies to lovers? 💋
Yes, please!

Rowan, Rowan, Rowan. 🔥 I really loved his character — a hunk of a professional baseball player. I mean, what’s not to love? 😅😍 He seemed to be this cocky guy on the outside, but truly, he had a heart of gold. He had his reasons - valid, at that - for not wanting a serious relationship. But when he finds himself in a bit of a predicament, fake-dating Meredith seemed like the perfect solution. As their “relationship” evolved, we got to see a more vulnerable side of Rowan’s and I was all for it. It made me love him even more!

I will be honest though, I wasn’t a fan of Meredith’s character but that was my only issue with this book. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And frankly, Rowan Ellis more than made up for it. 🤭😍🔥

I can’t wait to see what the author has up her sleeve for the other characters in the series!

Moon Shot was a light-hearted romance you should definitely check out, especially if you love reading about sexy baseball players. 🥰

Loved this book.
Enemies to lovers with all the feels. Light hearted sports romance.
Meredith is a character that you learn to love, she wasn't my favourite to start with but the development of her character was fantastic.
The two and fro between Rowan and Meredith is brilliant, he's got a reputation that Meredith doesn't seem to be able to see past but what happens when she agrees to play his fake girlfriend...
Rowan is a swoon worthy baseball star and he wants Meredith, he just has to prove that his reputation isn't really who he is.

A definite must read by Fiona Keane ❤

Meredith & Rowan went to the same college, and it was during that time when they became enemies, or they were on her part. I'm not going to lie, while Meredith seemed a bit immature at times, I could understand the sentiment because feelings aren't always rational that's for sure. In the present, Rowan is a professional baseball player whose reputation has taken a hit so he needs some help to right the ship, so the fake dating with Meredith commences. It doesn't take long before these two are actual friends & developing into less fake & more real. Will they finally put the past to rest for a new future?! I LOVED Moon Shot so much, so I was able to devour it in one sitting, and left me with a smile on my face not to mention excited for more since I fell in love with the supporting cast as well! Please don't pass this story by as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Moonshot is a Baseball romance and the first book in the series. Is it possible to fall in love with the man you decided was you enemy for the past 10 years. Meredith avoids Roman at all costs until he asks her for help. A fake relationship what’s the worst that can happen? This book was a light hearted read that I enjoyed and I’m looking forward to more in this series.

Holy Smokes! Fiona Keane has done it again. She has managed to create another perfect swoon worthy fiery love story that hits every major trope your little romantic loving heart could imagine. Friends to lovers-check, enemies to lovers-check, fake relationship to real love-check. The tension she creates between Rowan and Meredith is something dreams are made of. You won't regret reading another well-crafted love story from this brilliant writer.

Moon Shot is the first book in a brand-new baseball series, and if this story is anything to go by, it is going to be a must-read series.

An enemies-to-lovers story that will keep you entertained from the start, Meredith and Rowan do not have the best of starts, in fact, Meredith steers clear of Rowan as much as she can but when he asks her help to be in a fake relationship with him things really do heat up, and why doesn't Meredith like Rown, Fiona Keane introduced us to some great characters which I can't wait to find out more about in the coming books.

Rowan is a professional baseball player and needs help. Meredith is not a fan of Rowan’s so why would she help him? A fake relationship…what can happen? As these two spend time together, they learn more about each other then they expected to. Is Rowan really that bad? Why does Meredith really not like him? Will she finally tell him and let it go? This was a cute read with an entertaining story. I really Liked the friends in this friend group. Rowan was fun but serious, Meredith was a bit petty and immature but grew on me …a little. I’m extremely interested in seeing where this series goes. I look Forward to reading more books in this series.

The story was a bit confusing only because I’m used to reading duel POVs and not just from one POV, so that took some getting used to, the story itself was good but it felt like some things were missing as in what Meredith did for a living- what nonprofit she actually worked for and what they did was unclear, and that was kinda a bummer as that was a huge part of the storyline. It was one of the reasons why she made the deal with Rowan. It wasn’t as steamy as I’m used to, so that kinda fell flat too. I felt it ended too abruptly and I didn’t feel like I got closure. In the end I was left feeling bummed.- By Carli
