Brooks gets the surprise of his life when he responds to a small plane crash with the only survivor, an 8 month old baby, but the surprise is the birth certificate says he's the father of this tiny human. He knows he's in over his head, but he can't stand the thought of the foster system for her, so he steps up to the plate & becomes a single father. Everly was ghosted by Brooks a while back, but she's got such a good heart that she can't watch him struggle so she starts to help him with that adorable tiny human baby girl, especially since she knows how hard it is after she became the mother to 5 of her nephews & niece. Of course she's going to be just friends with Brooks, but the best laid plans amirite?! See, despite that ghosting, these two are perfect for each other & the sparks are flying like crazy, so the more time they spend together, well, lines get blurry. This story was a delight to read, and then there came a moment when something happened to make or break them, but you'll have to read it for yourselves to find out as I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the first book in the series and I'm here for this series! Brooks and Everly had me gobbling up the pages. This was such a beautiful second chance romance. This book pulled all the emotions out of me while reading. Everly has so much strength when life keeps throwing curve balls at her. Being the guardian of her niece and nephews after tragedy struck this little family alone, but throw in a few more events I don't know how she has such the strength. Though when reading this and realizing the awesome support system she has created is that foundation needed. Most all the characters were awesome and having me hope some of them get their own books. I loved the little rivalry between Brooks' dad and Jason's parents on best grandparents. It's something to watch as Brooks mature and grow as a person when an unexpected surprise turns his life upside down. This book shows how important family and the friends that are family are in our lives. Beautiful story that has me eagerly awaiting more from this series.

Because Everly knows how that feels, becoming a mother overnight to her nephews and niece, she can’t just stand aside and watch him struggle.
While things remain friendly at first, soon other feelings develop between them. Together maybe they can help each other with the kids, and be there for one another more romantically. But what when tragedy strikes again?

This was my first book by Shea Anne Lowell and I loved it.
I loved the age gap between the characters, but now in reverse, Everly dating a younger man. Both are single parents trying to find a way to make things work, struggling through life.

Brookes man’s up and becomes a single dad, but he needs help, and Everly steps into help him. This is an enjoyable story which is intriguing, entertaining, and with romance, younger man / older woman, and love, which leads to a sweet page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This was the first time I've read this author. I am not a huge reader of 3rd person POV but I loved the story telling of this writer. It was also refreshing reading an age gap where the woman was the older one in the relationship. And watching the male character grow and mature was fantastic. It was a great lead in to a new author for me.

This is a new to me author and I definitely will be reading more after work. The characters were well developed and the storyline was intriguing, entertaining and sweet. What can you say about Brooks? I love how he stepped up to the plate with the little girl. Even though Everly ghosted him six months prior she helps him out. Can they rekindle some thing?

Such wonderful storytelling in this book! I loved how Brooks manned up - not only for a little girl but also when he realized he was quickly losing the opportunity to reclaim the best thing that had ever happened to him. I really enjoyed this page turner filled with wonderful characters.

Loved Brooks and Everly’s romance story. I will say that I don’t typically read 3rd person POV but I loved this romance story. I loved single parent romance stories and this was no different.
