I remember the day he walked through our front door, bloodied and broken with the kind of torment that breeds, but never dies. Papa had one rule for him. Stay away from his daughter.

He didn’t.

Years later, he crashes back into my life and tears down all of the walls I built up around myself. We’re both hiding secrets, but when the mafia world collides with the MC world, the shrapnel could destroy everyone around us.

Now the president of the Chicago chapter, not even I was prepared for his return. He's going to see that I’m no longer the precious princess of the Cosa Nostra, and I won’t play his games anymore.

He’ll play mine.

This is a story about two souls destined to be together, but who are trapped in bodies that hate each other. It’s what happens when you both let love kill you.

I wrote this review as I was reading so at times it won’t make sense.

This book started so well. I actually found myself wanting to keep reading without stopping which hasn’t happened with an Amo book since Brans book part 1.
I actually thought this was going to be a heavy mafia romance. Something different.
I thought wicked would get taken in by the mafia and fall in love with the don’s daughter and she has to marry someone else but nope it wasn’t that.
This book has every trope you could think of. Was it needed no way. Was it a mafia romance no, was it an MC romance not really.

I thought this was going to be something different from Amo but it wasn’t.

It went down hill at the moment Wicked first had sex with ruby. I won’t even go into details of that it was pretty ridiculous.
But I over looked it and carried thinking it’s still good I’ll carry on then it just become something else.

This book wasn’t mafia in my opinion just because the word mafia, Cosa Nostra, capo were used doesn’t have this book mafia. It’s the same with the MC part just because they have a club and ride bikes doesn’t mean it a MC romances. No effort went into those sides of the story. (Lazy writing) not true mafia or MC romance.

You actually don’t get any mafia action. There’s no crime, no violence really that make it mafia.
The guys end up in masks and robes. Shock.

I don’t know what has happen to Amo writing. It’s so messy, stuff doesn’t make sense, its chaotic. it’s like Amo comes up with really random things and adds it to shock people or to make people second guess what they have just read but really it’s just bad. It doesn’t make it enjoyable to read. I want to love, and feel everything while I’m reading. You don’t get that.
I gets having some twists and some things that’s make you like wow wtf. But things in this book made no sense or are pointless, like so pointless, it’s not a mindfuck at all. It’s not dark. Nothing about this book was dark, the parts that are meant to be dark were stupid. Brushed over, over looked things that have meaning or should have in these type of books.

Wicked was the only good thing about this book. I actually like his character most of the time. I don’t understand how he was only 17 though.
She wrote him like he was a man.

The plot went in the way Amo only knows how to write at this point… a CULT VIBE BOOK, secrets group of people. Like I said a guy in a mask and robe. It’s the same stuff all the time. Ruby is like every other girl Amo writes.
She looks the same, acts the same as everyone other girl Amo has written. Head to toe in the most basic designer items. It’s boring. It’s been written before.
I don’t think Amo has ever written a woman over the age over 22. All young girls or girls who come across super young compared to the men.

•One minute their in a maze then he drugs her while they had sex then he dragging her somewhere near some cabins… wtf I couldn’t picture any of it.

Poppy dies?? Twice.!!

Everything goes black. Then Wicked and Ruby end up at K Diamonds Compound and she free to go?? I didn’t get it? Then hes in a room/cage? Igoos? With other men including sicko. Then the guy have to be “together” this part just why?? Why was it added? Did they have sex. I didn’t read any sex?
What were they eating.. a human. It was just ridiculous.

The guys spend 16 days together doing what K diamond says? Who is he again? Because it’s not really explained?
Who is K diamond lol? Who is Skully?
Who is Mikhail… the man she is meant to marry? Again no information at all really. He’s from the Russian mafia. As you carry on reading you think your get the answers but I don’t think Amo knows the answers herself. The answer weren’t worth the read.

Wicked gets free..

Skips 4 years. Wicked is now apart of a MC.
Has a old lady- at this point I just couldn’t carry on so had a break.
——
Poppy isn’t dead but is now a part of a team who who help human trafficking victims…. Random.

Wicked is now the head MC of Chicago and ruby is the princess of death at 21😂 her dad is dead?
there is no dept to this book. No meaning, how did she end up where she is 4 years later. There no details that normally make the reader connection with the character. One mention of the birth of wolf that’s it.
There is no love, no romance just sex and the sex isn’t great.

3 resurrections in one book 😅
Secret baby 😆 shock.

Writing doesn’t flow. Lots of stops then jumps. No chapters, which I think Amo needs when she writes otherwise it doesn’t flow.
Her books use to flow, use to be seamless. I understand authors writes differently when they are writing a different story or characters but this isn’t that different.

The mother gets killed…
Her father is actually Skully… he’s dying and needs ruby to save him.

Ruby has a twin 💀 shock.!

The rape part (at 90%) wtf. Why didn’t that even happen???? Such lazy writing. Just brushed over.

The crossover.. why? I don’t get it. Shock.!

Val, ivy and Mikhail together? Why does every book have to be like another book she writes.

That ending LOL. What was the point.

What a mess.
I don’t understand how people are saying in the reviews how this is how Amo writes.!! Since when.

Sancte Diaboli part 2 - mess
In Silence She Screams - mess
In Chaos We Reign - mess
Antichrist- mess

Wicked - Mess, lazy writing.
So many plot holes, no details.
Such a shame. I absolutely loved her old books.
Everything before was incredible.

One ⭐️ because Amo writes men well. And I actually liked Wicked.

I don’t understand how Amo beta readers and arc team thought that this was okay to release.
Everything is so rushed, there no meaning or emotion to her books anymore. No connection to any of the characters. Just things added.

I feel so bad even leaving this review but I always give this author a chance every time she says this is my best book I’ve ever written… I don’t agree at all and at this point I won’t be reading Amo again.

I knew I wanted to read 'Wicked' as soon as he was introduced to us briefly in Sicko, so those anticipation levels were skyrocketed, and I knew I should've done a re-read to refresh my mind because sieve meet brain and I'd forgotten what this world was like.

But I dived in anyways and was so engrossed in the story Saturday flew by like a tornado and and hello Sunday..

This put me through the wringer, one turn in the book where a death of a loved one hit me and with the horrific way it was conducted had me teary eyed only to be hit with a wtf more than once, a few curse words later and I plunged back into it again. I should've been more prepared because this author is known for her crazy twisty turns and this definitely had Amo's stamp all over it.

This kept me on my toes throughout, twists and turns, secrets and history reveals itself in this tale. Broken into two parts, the first part we get to see how Wicked and his sister became immersed in Ruby's world and how fast they became entwined and how it all fell down around them.

The second part slowly puts all the puzzle pieces back together again. So many worlds blended into one.

"Wicked f*cking lies"
He does. But it's all worth it. I promise.
It's always hard to write an Amo Jones review without giving things away, but I'll do my best. This book was like a dark rollercoaster, with a lot of ups and downs, and I was here for all of it. You need to go in blind if you want to enjoy it, but make sure you read the TWs just in case.

"Everywhere he touches burns like a memory I’ve tried to forget."
You really need to read Sicko before this one because it will give you some knowledge you'll need. I'm glad I read it recently. Still, I can honestly say this still took me for a spin, even though I already knew who Wicked was and parts of his story. I got a lot more than I bargained for, though, and he really got to me.

"You ever look at me the way you are right now? And I’ll fuck you on his office desk and leave my marks all over your body."
Wicked and his sister come to live at Ruby's house, brought over by her dad. He had one rule: Wicked wasn't to touch his daughter. But what if his daughter wants to be touched, and what if he can't refuse her?
Yes, from the get-go you can see Ruby is not the perfect, innocent girl. She's strong, sassy, and determined. She is a mafia princess, but there's a lot she keeps to herself and people wouldn't find her that perfect if they could see the darkness inside.

"Gonna ruin you."
She leans down, her tongue curling around my nipple. "Gonna let you."

Except Wicked, that is. Because he knows her like no one else, like they share the same mind. He is very much the broody, silent type, but he's different when he's around her. Well, mostly, but it’s OK, because she actually likes the darkness inside him. It speaks to her.
And frankly, it spoke to me too.

"The boy who didn’t speak often, but when he did, he made me feel alive beneath him. The boy who showed me what it was like to die while being touched."
The story starts in the present (and what a start that is!) but Amo takes us on a journey to the past, so we can see how perfectly fucked up, but perfect nonetheless, these two are for each other. Even if life, other people, and their different realities do try to break them apart. Even if Wicked hurts her in a way only a person who shares your soul ever could.

"Staring back at me, is both the reason for my pain and my solace. The only man who ever had any power to both break me and put me back together again. He was my own personal nightmare. The kind that gave you butterflies."
Years later, Wicked is president of an MC, and Ruby is now a mafia queen. Worlds that shouldn't even come together, but collide and threaten everything around them.
Once they reunite, they hate each other, but they also love each other with the kind of passion you'd want for yourself. There are so many things tearing at them. Secrets, lies, death, and a lot of pain. But, like always, they're drawn together. They're more than just fated, they're inevitable.

"On my dick, at my mercy, and only mine to destroy."
The feelings that once destroyed them are back with a vengeance, but there are so many things happening around them and, as usual, Amo creates a web of intricate stories that pull you in and don't let you come up for air.
They're hot together (I won't be forgetting that bathroom scene!), but it's more than that. His darkness and hers complement each other in a way nothing, and no one, else could.

"I won’t look past the dark to get to the light; I’ll exist in the dark with him."
Once you start to see it all unravel, it makes sense. It will hurt you at times, because their love story is not for the faint of heart, and the things they go through are hard and twisted to say the least. It almost seems like it can destroy them, but it can't. And it all comes full circle in a way that is perfect for them in the end.

"All this time?" He reaches over, unclips my belt, and pulls me in close under his arm.
"Until the end of time."

This is not a sweet love story with rainbows and pink unicorns. This is black leather, lace, passion, and death, but a love story nonetheless. For those who believe love really can triumph over anything.

This book is a perfect example as to why I'm obsessed with Amo Jones' kind of craziness and mindfuckery!

Wicked is as unhinged as Sicko is untamed, and I'm here to call them both Daddy, cause damn... It was a wild rollercoaster! 🔥🥵

Wicked and Ruby are explosive since the beginning... Their connection and their chemistry were one of my favorite things, along with all the mystery and the dark aspects of the story.

This book is a mix of a lot of tropes in a Mafia and MC crossover, that you can't believe it can really work together, but in the end, they fit like a glove.

I loved all the mess, all the blood and gore, all the hot sex, all the drama, and I'm definitely here to call Wicked mine, cause he's broken, crazy, sexy as hell and delish, even when he's trying to kill you before he comes 🥵🔥😂!

In truly Amo's fashion, you'll have a powerful heroine who doesn't bow to anyone, but gets weak on the knees for the troubled anti-hero, who trusts no one and is full of secrets and shady deeds.
They're the definition of toxic relationship and you wouldn't want them in any other way! They fight as hard as they fuck!

“It had been years since I had seen her, bro. And every bitch I fucked after her didn’t exist in my head,” I say low, under my breath. “I knew the second I was inside her that there would be no one walking this earth powerful enough to replace the way she felt around my dick.”

I mean... Swoon 😂😂😂😂😂

The story is told in a timeline that starts before Sicko and it ends after Sicko, so you'll have a few glimpses from Wicked's POV, and it was really good to have Royce and Jade with him... I'm already dreaming about other books in the Wolf Pack MC world, and maybe even a certain Russian threesome 🔥!

With an unexpected cameo in the end, this book finishes with a great note that kept me hooked from page one!

So just buckle up, grab a bottle of tequila and enjoy the ride!

Let me start off by saying I am incredibly grateful for the authors who provide us the opportunity to read their ARCs.
With that being said, ARC readers are not secondary beta readers. I think you are doing yourself a disservice by sending unedited/unproofed ARCs to people and not expecting it to take away from my experience of the book. (*note: there is a difference between it not being the final version and it being completely littered with mistakes)

I am a visual reader…when I read a book it plays in my mind like a movie. So when there is constant errors to the point I don’t understand what is being described or I don’t understand what the character is trying to portray… it’s as if my movie is consistently being paused and rewinded because I don’t get it.

It’s exhausting and honestly I usually DNF the book. The only other book I’ve read by Amo is Sicko, and while I didn’t particularly like it, I thought why not apply for this book. I will say the only reason I finished was because I felt guilty. I know people really wanted this ARC and I felt bad if I DNF’d it.

The spice was alright. It’s pretty much the only reason I gave it 3 stars. I know her writing style is described as “chaotic” and that’s fine. I could handle a chaotic storyline if what she was trying to say made sense. I think a lot of what people say as mystery or chaos in her writing is simply missing plot and underdeveloped depth of the characters. The chemistry between the main couple was non-exist. Her writing style is just not for me.

Honestly I debated even posting anything but I found it a bit frustrating to send a version of the book, that in my opinion isn’t ready to be published. I would want my experience to be as close to the general mass release as possible. I know some last minute changes may happen but not as if it needs to be ran through an editor again.

There are so many unanswered questions in the book. What is a Dragon? Why was his first reaction to crave that into his chest? Why did he just stand there and let *that* happen to Ruby? Also what was even the point of *that* scene? It added absolutely nothing to the story other than an unnecessary shock factor. There is so much going on and you don’t really get the answers. You get a few crumbs that you can makes assumptions on.

Final note! Reviews are for READERS. If you feel the need to share with the author, please don’t. They are people too and negative reviews can affect them. I simply put my opinion out there as a person who received an ARC for this book and it may not reflect the final version that is released.❤️

Buckle up. This was wild from cover to cover in the best freaking way. Wicked sits firmly in my top favorite Amo anti-heroes and Ruby was such a BA heroine.

I don’t want to give any spoilers, so just read it. If you loved Sicko, you are going to die over Wicked.

I first fell in love with Wicked in Sicko. Then when the author announced Wicked was having his book, I was equally excited and nervous. Nervous because of the hype and my expectations. Like always ways, with the author’s books, I trusted the process and am happy to say I’m ecstatic with the outcome.

Here is what to expect

Mayhem and chaos
Several twists
Darkness
Secrets
Badass heroine
Wicked (need I say more )
Mindfuckery
Addicting( be prepared to abandon all adult responsibilities while reading )

The book's first part is about how Wicked and Ruby met and their downfall. Part Two is four years later. Ruby is not the same woman Wicked left behind. She is now the Princess of death and leaves a blood trail behind her. With one big secret.

Wicked at seventeen was hard to believe he wasn't a mature man. However, if you had his life, you would probably be the same. As horrific as it was, it molded him as he was in the present, which we all love.

Wicked is just that, wicked good. (Yes, I used wicked as an adjective, it's our new England slang.) I’m now on high and don’t want to come down. Go in with an open mind. Read the trigger warnings. The book is not for the faint of heart.

**** SPOLIERS****

The best part was the prologue. If the whole book has those vibes then it would have been something else.

This was okay. SOME parts were even good, but for the most part, I found the writing too chaotic and messy.

The way the story is told, it feels choppy and it doesn't flow great. I've actually found that with Amo's last few books so I think her style of writing now doesn't suit me at all.

The plot was alot... It was interesting as I just kept reading to see what happened next. But 3 character resurrections in one book is a bit much. I mean, C'mon... There was enough already going on with all the tropes it was overkill. Mafia, MC, Culty vibes, arranged marriage, secret baby.. one thing after another I couldn't keep up.

With all the triggers I didn't find a dark read. That has alot to do with the fact that I didn't feel the chemistry between Ruby and Wicked. I liked them both individually and the spice was okay, but as a couple, I didn't get the whole "they are endgame and always meant to be" between them both. I didn't feel that at all. It's like I was told it and not shown it because it felt like they weren't even together that much.

Amos earlier work and her writing is what got me and made me a fan. Her last few have just had too many holes and full of nonsensical things that add no value to the plot or characters. I think it may be time for me to have a break from her work.

I'm giving the stars mainly for entertainment value. Because this book gave me entertainment if nothing else.

Dark romance lovers, this one is for you! *tips imaginary cocktail in air*

Amo Jones did not come to play!! She legit pulled no punches with this book. Wicked is dark, angsty, thrilling, and so very hot! This is probably the wildest ride I’ve been on this year and I loved every moment of it.

Here’s what I loved:
The story is multifaceted.
The characters are larger than life.
Ruby is one of my favorite Amo heroines to date! Yup, she’s a baddie!
There are edge of your seat moments and others I read with one hand covering my eyes. *no joke* See above re: she didn’t pull her punches. LOL
I absolutely LOVE the tropes. One in particular is my Achilles heel, but I won’t give you any details because I want you to go in blind, just as I did.

Overall, if you’re an Amo Jones fan or dark romance fan, you’ll love this cast of characters! I’m already looking forward to more from this crew. Just remember that Wicked is mine! 🖤

This is the first Amo book I didn’t enjoy 😭

PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!!
Also note there is on screen present tense SA that occurs.

I went into this book with high hopes after loving Sicko so much. Wicked had a great start but as I got further into the book thats where things start to break down for me. I found quite a few plot holes, inconsistencies and a lot of contradictions through out the whole story.

I felt like the connections with the characters started strong and developed well… But towards the end the relationship between Wicked and Ruby felt rushed and unnatural. It didn’t flow organically and the strength of the references to their past connection didn’t align for me. I found the plot overshadowed their relationship and took away from it as they didn’t really have any down time. Making their connection come across as unauthentic. The spice at the beginning of the book is chefs kiss but again from there it broke down for me and wasn’t consistent. I felt that the rest of the scenes were really rushed and not given the time they deserved. They read as if it was fade to black. I felt like the characters were robbed of a deeper connection with each other. It felt very surface level as we didn’t get much of a glimpse between them so I felt like I was missing something.

At about 80% I felt as though the fast forward button was hit and the plot was slammed with twist after twist after trauma after twist. Again it did not flow organically and a lot of the pieces felt like they were thrown in there for shock value or to make it darker? The SA scene is the part I have the largest issue with. Why didn’t Wicked fight? Why was she even assaulted? They were still waiting for confirmation and no one was really fighting at that point so I really don’t understand what the trigger was for that to happen? Then we go into Wicked’s next POV and what 3 hours later she wants him to make her forget what happened? While I do understand this reaction it is WAY too soon. We haven’t even had her POV talk about it or process it and it’s just not flushed out. This scene needs to be properly resolved because it feels like she just moves on and doesn’t care. Which is extremely unrealistic and potentially harmful to readers. While it doesn’t have to be realistic I feel that when topics like SA come up you have to handle it with 100x more care and respect. Not just gloss over it so quickly and rushed. This whole part took away from the plot for me.

I honestly couldn’t tell you exactly what all happened at the end it was too confusing and convoluted to piece together. It felt very rushed and we were give so much plot in one go so I didn’t feel like anything was properly resolved. This book should be longer and have a lot more added to it for it to read smoothly. This barely touches on the inconsistencies but I wanted to highlight the bigger pieces that I had a hard time with.

I am really disappointed. I absolutely love Amo’s other books but this is not at the same calibre. It has so much potential but it needs to be flushed out, the plot lines need to be resolved and the inconsistencies and little items to be tied up. All of these larger issues overshadowed the book for me and I wanted to like it so freaking much. It didn’t leave me feeling good and I’m so sad these characters didn’t get a better ending.

I literally felt drained of all my energy after reading this book and NOT in a good way. This book is MESSY, CHAOTIC, CONFUSING, INCONSISTENT, the plot is all over the place, has no flow, the characters have no chemistry and the story is choppy ……..
Why didn’t I DNF ? Good question. Maybe for the same reason I granted it 1 star, because at times I liked a little and thought it was going to get good but sadly it doesn’t . I thought I was going to love it because I loved SICKO and met WICKED there and somehow I thought Wicked was going to be hotter than Sicko but it isn’t.
The story starts when Wicked is 17 years old and it shows some flashbacks to the past. When he meets Ruby, his love interest, they immediately have sex and she was a virgin but they made it so unimportant, trivial and fast. After that they barely see each other even though they live in the same house. Then the story takes a turn and he is giving her away in exchange for his sister (what?) mind you that Ruby is a Mafia princess from the Italian Cosa Nostra. In the place he needs to drop her she is beaten, raped, drugged and hunted and guess who’s the one doing this to her ? Yep you guessed right it’s Wicked after that he lets her go cause apparently his is “saving her” and they don’t see each other for 4 years so she thinks his dead or whatever cause she never heard of him and meanwhile she became the Capo of her family cause her dad died. Wicked is back in the picture and already starts to accuse her immediately of hiden his son, oh yep she has his kid after all but we also don’t see that. He makes demands and it’s ridiculous like he wasn’t the monster of her story…. This book has 3 resurrections, not 1 but 3. Poppy is dead twice and than back cause she wasn’t, her dad wasn’t dead either and her mom in the end also wasn’t dead and her mom death wasn’t even explained. RIDICULOUS! This book has every single trope known to man and all badly done it. Also this book is Mafia, MC and Cult Secret Society but at the same time it is none of those cause they are all badly executed. Wicked and Ruby have zero chemistry, the author shows them together twice and after that when the 4 years passed it’s mentioned how they were always together and their love and all but you can’t believe cause you didn’t see and it wasn’t even mentioned…… choppy story, something starts now and the next paragraph is gone and I lost count of how many times I went back a page to make sure I didn’t miss anything cause it was simply gone. And what is with the last minute gruesome rape ???? WHY ? Was stupid as fuck. Also supposedly Wicked did all this to “save” her, I mean really? At this point please do not save me, and do me a favor not to do me any favors ….. Just kill me if by saving me you need to absolutely destroy my life, cause me the biggest headaches, rape me, drug me, beat me, kidnapped me…. JUST kill me please. It felt so stupid. So I guess Amo Jones is not for me cause I try 2 other books from her and they are all messy, chaotic and confusing as hell. Sicko is the only one I loved.

This was a fucking mess. I use to really love Amo Jones but her last few books have not worked for me at all.

The writing is so chaotic and messy and the plot is all over the place. I literally didn’t know what was happening majority of the time because it wasn’t explained and it was convoluted. There were so many plot holes and it also had really stupid shit in it. Like for example there were multiple resurrections that didn’t make any fucking sense. A bitch was literally burnt to the point her face melted off but she somehow survived and is in mint condition. Like wtf? There was also a really random SA scene chucked in the book for no reason which wasn’t touched upon after the fact and nothing comes from it. The character even ended up having sex hours later. Once again wtf???

Also I didn’t love the characters. The FMC is alright, kind of annoying at times but she’s literally the same as all of the other FMC in Amo’s other books. I didn’t like the MMC at all. Not to mention they had no chemistry as a couple and they had no relationship development.

I’m so fucking disappointed because I loved Sicko. I don’t know if I will be continuing to read any more of Amo’s books because I have the same issues with all of her new releases.

One thing is certain, when you take on an Amo Jones' book, it's a dark, dark ride...lol
well, that being said, I can only confirm the set of triggers she offers as a warning:
Cannibalism
Dubious consent
Sexual Abuse
Blood and gore
Breath play
Blood play
Self-harm
Extreme violence and explicit murder scenes
Sexual assault/rape

I will state that NONE of the above bothered me per se...once you start to read about it, you are in it and you just kind of get used to it, believe it or not....BUT unusually to say, I had a problem with the "emotional" concept, cause there was none...it was only stated, thrown in there as a piece of information...but I had no notion of it and I didn't dig anything on that level between Wicked and Ruby...therefore all of the above served as a purpose to shock and be horrid and scary BUT the main essence of the book was a miss...

You see, there's no point in shoving our minds with obscene scenes if there's no background...there's no essence, and thus this book is simply a show off of horror and nothing more...

and since I don't want to go into details as what bothered me through out the book, cause that would most certainly be spoiler alert...

There's no doubt that Amo is a talented author with vivid imagination BUT sometimes too much is over the top...lol, or better yet, the less is more!

"He is no longer the boy who kind of stole my heart with his bloody hands. He is the boy who tore it from me without my permission."

Okay so, this book was pretty damn good. Quick and full of twists and turns that shocked the hell out of me. I have enjoyed every single book that I read by the author so far and this one was no different. I was eager to know what would happen next and because of that, I think that this book is a total page-turner! Wicked was a character whose book I'd been looking forward to read the most and Amo Jones did not disappoint. Ruby & Wicked had a really palpable chemistry and I just loved their connection! I couldn't get enough of these two together. If one was smart, the other was smarter and stronger which made me understand their dynamics. Overall, this book was a blast of thrilling twists and shocking revelations and I would rate it as a 4.5 star read.

I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

3,5 🌟

Wicked is here, and if you loved Sicko, you’re going to ravenously consume this connected standalone. Don’t tell the other anti-heroes, but I think this is my favorite world. The chaos, the trauma, the twists and darkness. Wicked is just that…WICKED. As always, Amo brings that delicious manic energy to the page, the narrative style matching the savage, assaulting, and turbulent tone of the story. The characters were unexpected but mesmerizing. Mafia meets MC in the most delicious of combinations. Ruby with her painful history but oh my is she fire, forged from the marrow of trauma and gentleness into a fierce heroine. And Wicked- well he’s that breed of intense and enigmatic anti-heroines with a dark past and a darker heart. But with a protective streak that is somehow surprisingly swoony in a messed up way.

There is no mind-F like an Amo Jones one- but perusal all the pieces weave together in a brilliant symphony of brutal disorder and riveting dark suspense. Weaving together the past and the present, this is one multi-layered and disoriented puzzle- one where we are playing with half the pieces and aren’t just quite of any of the players motives. Secrecy and wickedness reign supreme in the fast paced story, but what I loved most was just what made me adore Sicko. Amidst all the chaos and darkness is a powerful beating heart. Amo also brings a keen beauty to the darkness, a romantic and empowering tinge that makes her conception of soul mates feel next level. Love can grow even in the darkest of places, in the darkest of souls- the power of soulmates will not bend to pain or darkness. Life, and love, are not always sweet nothings- to love is to know pain, to live is to know pain. And Amo writes stories that magnify that- it forces us to look at the darkest aspects of hearts…all in a psychologically engrossing wild wide. That delicious poetic chaos that she’s perfected. Hang on tight, you’re in for a wild ride!

When an MC and the Mafia collide.

“The problem with trauma is it leaves scars behind, so it knows exactly where to find them again when it comes back. And they do. They always come back.”

If you’ve read anything by Amo Jones, you know to sit back, trust nothing, and enjoy the chaos. Because Wicked is no acceptation.

Wicked and his little sister are thrusted into the home of a very powerful man in the Mafia. It’s a start to a huge domino effect that catapults Wicked and Ruby, the daughter of the Cosa Nostra and daughter of the Capo Dei Capi - together.

“Pretending your demons don’t exist doesn’t make them stop chasing you… it only slows the race.”

One thing you should always ask yourself when reading a mindfuck from Amo is..
who’s playing who?
Who really is the top dog in the game?

This is a romance that spans over four years. It’s a love story intertwined in dark and depraved shit. We’re deep in the dark underbelly of the black market here. Children are involved. And revenge is around the corner….

“I don’t have to know her to still love her. I was fucked the second she sent her poisonous fangs right into my jugular.”

Wicked and Ruby were a beacon of light for each other in this story. They save each other in the end. Two extremely badass main characters with cameos of characters from book one, Sicko.
This book was dark, twisted, and authentic to Amo Jones chaotic world she built for us. I loved every second.

The crossover of another book of hers?! My jaw hit the fucking floor. I also wondered just who did that …… 🫢🤫

“She stared at me from across the room. It was the exact reason why I loved her. She was reckless with her need for me. She didn’t give a fuck who was watching. I felt it, she sure as fuck felt it, and I’m one thousand percent everyone in this goddamn room felt it.”

“Love was a distraction to destruction. Nothing more, and nothing less.”

“Because with Wicked, he needs to own you. All of you. Every animalistic tendency that man has comes out to play with you when he’s fucking you. He fucks to own you, not sleep with you.”

After weeks of teasing, Wicked is finally here! And let me tell you, this book is twisted and boundary-pushing. It makes you question everything and leaves you on the edge of your seat wanting more…

One thing I can count on with an Amo Jones book is that she’s going to pull out all the stops and test every single one of my boundaries and Wicked is no exception. Wicked is intense from the very first page and will keep you captivated the entire time. This story hits the ground running and had my head spinning, not knowing which way was up or which was down. The romance, web of lies, betrayal, and twists kept me on my toes the entire time. And just when I thought I knew the direction this story was going to take, the carpet was pulled out from under me, and I fell further into the rabbit hole.

Wicked is probably one of Amo Jones’ darkest books yet and isn’t for the faint of hearts. Wicked is brilliantly written and completely consuming. This is the kind of book that you’re going to hate one minute and love the very next. The chemistry between Wicked and Ruby is explosive and will leave you all twisted up in knots. If you’re looking for a hearts and flowers type of read, Wicked is not for you. But, if you love dark and twisted tales, go into this story blind. Heed the warnings. Trust the process, and enjoy because you are about to be taken on a crazy, wild ride.

To start I have read a lot of Amo Jones books and typically enjoy them. However, in my opinion this one was a complete bust. A few issues I had:

1. Her mother was 34 but the FMC was 17. And her mother supposedly met her father after college and designed a whole mansion before she was born. That doesn’t track.

2. The age shaming of her 34 year old mother. Like a women is so post to have wrinkles and be a wise old bitty at 34. I’ve noticed this in other books by Amo Jones.

3. I’m fine with younger FMC who’s personalities are disproportionate to their age or life experience but come it’s a stretch in assuming a 21 year old can run a mafia.. or be the leader of a MC.

4. The story was rushed and plots points are being throw around with no context. The FMC refers to knowing the MMC like they had this deep connection but they spent 3 days together before things escalated. At one point the bff of the FMC refers to their teenage years together… it was max 4 days of interaction… there is no history. (Sharing a tit as babies doesn’t count)

5. A character named Juno is introduced and then the next page he is referred to by a different name once then he is gone. Why change his name?

6. You cannot slip a Glock into yoga pants!! Have you tried? It just slide down your ass!

7. Don’t wonder off in Walmart… what’s the worse that can happen… everything goes black! This happens to often in too often in the story.

8. Everything is so rushed and there is no build up. This story would have been better if some aspects were either removed or elaborated on. Like the twin?

Amo Jones is a good writer but this book felt like it wasn’t even revised. Everything is rushed, the story is confusing and the plot twist which I expect in her stories was unorganized. Also connecting all her other stories to this one felt so forced that I was just rolling my eyes.

What the hell was this? My head hurt while reading this book and I am sure I lost a few brain cells in the process. How is this sort of writing style even allowed to be published? There was no plot, no depth to the characters, no motives, no ration behind the 'twists', actually no rational thoughts or logic throughout the book, no timeline, not a single cohesive thought or action. How is this book so highly rated?! Am I supposed to be smoking something while reading this, because that's the only way this book gets at least 3 stars in my opinion. What a colossal let down!

ALL MY REVIEWS CAN BE FOUND ON MY BLOG: ABSTRACT BOOKS

line

Star Rating : 4.5 / 5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Hero : Wicked

Heroine : Ruby

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Triggers Involved : Past Trauma , *to be updated after release

Plot Summary :
Wicked never had it easy in his life. All he knew was pain by the people who were supposed to love him . Then one day when things go too far , he meets a man who agrees to take him under his wing. To train him and give him and his sister a place to live. The only condition? Stay away from that man's daughter. Easier said than done. Ruby might be the most mesmerizing girl he has ever met. But being with her could ruin his already broken life. When things speak between them and that starts a chain of events which eventually leads to him losing his sister and His own soul. Now after years he is back as a member of the MC and more ruthless than ever. This time, he won't be fooled by Ruby's act anymore because this time she does not have an adolescent boy to deal with and nothing could prepare her for the torment he is going to unleash on her and the little life she has built for herself.

Her papa always liked to bring strays but none of them intrigued Ruby like Wicked did. He was everything she imagined and wanted. When things spark between them at the worst moment , it leads to a lot of disastrous moments. After ruining her life and successfully making her hate him , Wicked is now back years later to try and mess with her again. But this time? This time she was no little princess he had to coddle , this time she was the MF queen.

Overall Opinion :
Wicked is here!! I have been waiting for this man's story ever since we got the hint that he would get one from Sicko. Not only do we get cameos from our favorite Mc characters my Amo but also a few other names are thrown here. And this book also FINALLY resolved Wtf happened at the end of Antichrist because that kept me up at night lmao. It was kind of confusing because even though it was all clear here , it took me some time to process what actually happened. But still! Thanks to the author for clearing that up!

Definitely recommending this one to all the dark romance loving people out there. If second chances , anti heroes , queen bitchy heroines , mafia , MC and angst are your tropes then go for this one! It's a standalone HEA with triggers.

Holy fuck!
What the actual fuck Amo?
I don't know what to say other than... FUCK.

Okayyy... I'm going to sum this up the best way I can without giving too much away because I believe you should go into this blind... If you enjoyed Sicko, you will most definitely enjoy Wicked. The best way I can describe this is if the mafia world meets the MC world. It's raw, it's dark, it's sinfully dangerous and hot and it will have your mind reeling from page one! Amo outdid herself with this one and it has now become my favourite book by her.

ARC Review:

If you read this and love it, that's awesome, but this book while intriguing, hurt me.

Adult Wicked in the present has a dirty mouth that I loved.
Ruby at every age was amazing, a balance of kind and tough that I dug, but this girl got done dirty. Her agency was constantly, unnecessarily taken away, as if someone who lived her life would be unaware enough for certain things to happen to her...

Maybe it was the state of the ARC I read, but this broke my heart. The first half was confusing, relationships were referenced but never shown, and the backstory that should've been built wasn't. In the present there's reference to all these things from the past and connections that were made that I didn't read on page.

The second half of the book was significantly clearer, but even the plot was not entirely resolved at the end. There was a giant conspiracy that while interesting, is never fully explained.

There was also a graphic sexual assault that served no plot purpose, it was gratuitous and felt like another thing randomly thrown at the character to hurt her, and then the ramifications of it were barely addressed on page. It made me feel ill, and I never would've expected that from this author, especially given the amazing sensitivity and power she gave the same subject in Sicko.

Ruby remembers the day her papa brought Wicked into their home. He was bloodied, broken and intriguing. Turns out, he was able to break, ruin her too.
Years later and their worlds collide once again.
Wicked is now the president of an MC but gone is the girl, Wicked once knew. She's no longer the naive, enamored, mafia princess... she's the boss now. And she's done playing his games.
Secrets, betrayal, & hate is all that lies between them now. Yet, they say that there's a thin line between love and hate.

R U B Y L A R O S A :
A BADASS in her own right. This principessa held her fxckn' own and didn't let ANY man walk all over her. She was a confident QUEEN that took whatever actions were deemed necessary, to make EVERYONE know who was the motherfxckn BOSS!

"I'd rather leave a body count with Jimmy Choo stamps over their forehead."

"We all know--everyone knows not to cross you, and they go to great lengths to make sure they stick to that..."

Listen, I haven’t longed to be a fictional character in a while but GAWDAMNNNN, did I want to be Ruby so fxckn bad!!! Her badassery made her even more SEXY! But you know what made me OBSESSED with her? The way that she fought with Wicked yet submitted to him too.. gahhhh. That shit HAD ME 💦 AND KNEEELING🧎🏻‍♀️ for Ruby.

"And after all this time, it's still only him who can force my power to its knees."

"Needing to be owned, dominated, and damaged by him."

I like some toxicity in my dark romance fictional relationships... SUE ME! 🤷🏻‍♀️

W I C K E D
Is he an anti-hero? yes! Is he morally grey? Yes, but it just so happens it's my FAV FXCKN COLOR 😘
Wicked was shaped by the shit he had to endure at a young age. He became POSSESSIVE and PROTECTIVE because whoever he grew to love, easily became a target. He grew up knowing that LOVING someone, equaled to having a WEAKNESS. & in his world, it was simply a FACT.

"Love was a distraction to destruction."

Is our Wicked a dirty talker? I mean, do bibliophiles dream about fictional CHARACTERS?! YASSSS.
My gawdd, the beautiful, nasty, mouth on this man. INSTANTLY DROPPED TO MY FXCKN' KNEES!

" 'Shut up. Your other daddy might hear.' "

" 'Gonna enjoy this. Fucking you exactly how you should be—' He tightens the shower curtain, his hungry groans escaping his mouth. 'Fucked. You know how that is, little Ruby Rose?'
His mouth touches mine. 'On my dick, at my mercy, and only mine to destroy.'"

LITERALLY ME --> 🧎🏻‍♀️ 🥵 💦 😻

R & W
Their chemistry & sexual tension, even IN the beginning was fxckn palpable! 🤤
That shit was FELT FELT. Their hatefxcks, their LOVE!
EVERYTHING. THEY WERE FXCKN' EVERYTHING!!!!!

" I want to tell him that I'd die for him, bleed for him, and not second-guess a single thing."

" 'You're always going to be mine.'
His grip around my throat intensifies, his eyes wild on mine. 'Say you're mine.'
I don't answer, my tongue sliding over my bottom lip. Even in death, lover.

Did i fxckn eat up Wicked?! You BET YOUR ASS I DID!
I mean, I was a fxckn goner BY THE END OF THE FXCKN' PROLOGUE!!
The plot twists were plot twisting 🤯. The smuttt was fxckn SMUTTING 💦 and the Dark Romance was DARK ROMANCING!!! 🥰

I want to apologize to Ms. Amo Jones! You must have worked COUNTLESS hours, days, weeks, months, etc to give us Wicked… just for me to fxckn DEVOUR it in ONE sitting!!
I’m so sorry 😩 I really tried to keep busy but I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN 🥹
👏🏼standing fxckn👏🏼 ovation👏🏼 & I AM KNEELING FOR YOU AMO JONESSSSSSS 🧎🏻‍♀️

Also the mention of my SICKO AND Jade?! AHHHH it made me realize just how much I fxkcn MISSED THEM!!!

BUT i gotta admit I think Wicked AND Ruby might just be my FAV COUPLE.

"We have a love that burns, and everything that burns eventually turns to ash, but somewhere between the I hate yous and the I love yous, I’ve found a love so powerful it will continue to burn after the flames die out."

• Multiple timelines
• Two broken MCs
• Traumatic past and present
• Unhinged MMC
• Bad*ss FMC
• Mafia/MC worlds
• Revenge
• VERY sensitive topics

"When love grows where hate was planted, you don’t get flowers. Just thorns."

The way Amo gives zero f*cks about her approach to taboo topics is my freaken favorite. She can take a story that you don't see ending with any type of HEA and make it have such a solid ending that you keep coming back wanting more. I love her writing style. She keeps me on the edge of my seat the whole time! Up until the VERY last minute! She can take the most unhinged, unapproachable MMCs and make you feel all kinds of ways about them, and by the end of the book, you understand just why she made them as unapproachable in the beginning as she did. Wicked was EXACTLY this! But the more I learned about this man and everything he went through, the more I understood just why he was such a ruthless character. He had to be, or in the world he was born into, it would have destroyed him!

"His beauty isn’t subtle, it’s a slap in the face to the human race. It’s a warning that some men were handcrafted by evil just to get your attention long enough to steal you."

I also can't believe after reading Sicko that it took me this long to finally listen to Wicked! And I'm so glad I finally did. Wicked and Ruby's story was ROUGH! Your heart will break for each of them so many times! But it's so worth it! Wicked's character was so complex, and I loved the way Amo developed his character and how she flipped from timeline to timeline to help us understand him!

“When you have his attention, and I mean all of it, you’ll know, because with Wicked, he needs to own you. All of you. Every animalistic tendency that man has comes out to play when he’s f*cking you. He f*cks you to own you, not to sleep with you.”

Ruby was a BAD*SS! Sarcastic and flirty in the beginning, and then we watch her turn into a cutthroat character who took no sh*t from anyone, but Wicked! She went from seeming like a sheltered FMC to someone who would completely dominate any situation.

Amo definitely put me through so many emotions while reading this book! So much happened in this book that I'm actually still coming down from everything after finishing it! I know this will be a book that sticks with me, much like Sicko has!

"People say that mirrors are the first sign of vanity. That if you have more than one mirror in your room, you are vain. So I filled the whole f*cking hotel with them."

This book covers many sensitive topics. I would definitely be aware of them before going in! But if you've ever read an Amo Jones book. You know what you're getting yourself into!

🎧Audiobook review🎧
Dual Narration
Narration by Grayson Owens and Michelle Sparks

Both of these narrators are my favorites!!! And they were the perfect pair for this book! Grayson played Wicked. He gave us an incredible performance. He brought out every unhinged thought/behavior so well! But my favorite was his ability to bring out Wicked's possessive side! Especially when it came to Ruby! Michelle played Ruby! She did such a wonderful job conveying every single emotion Ruby experienced in this book! And there were MANY!!! This book is heavy... and both of these narrators handle each of these character's struggles so well. I HIGHLY recommend this audiobook!!

***4,25 "Mine to destroy!!!" stars***

"Love was a distraction to destruction..."

Wicked is finally here!!!
From the very first moment that I met Wicked back in "Sicko", I wanted to unravel all of his secrets and what a wild ride was offered to me in here!!!
This story was chaotic, full of wicked lies, betrayals, and fucked up twist.... And guess what??? I freakin' loved it!!!
I knew Wicked will make an impact to me, but I wasn't prepared for this intense and wicked ride!!!

"When love grows where hate was planted, you don't get flowers. Just thorns."

Honestly, I don't know from where to start with this story...
It was messed up and very complicated in so many levels!!!
Wicked and Ruby had an ugly past...
She was a mafia princess and he was the boy that got under her father's wings... They fell in love, but he betrayed her...
Years later, they are meeting again and things are about to change forever...
Ruby is now the head of the mafia and Wicked is the new president of Wolf's MC in Chicago...
Many things are standing between them and even though their hatred for each other is running deeply, the same goes for the love that once they had shared!!!

"He was my own personal nightmare. The kind that gave you butterflies."

I loved Wicked soooo much!!! I loved his fierce protectiveness toward his loved ones and even though he had a very complicating past and made me question his intensions many time, he still managed to crawl under my skin...
Ruby was a badass spitfire and I liked how determined she was!!! She was strong and loyal... Wicked had wronged her in the past, but he never stopped existing inside of her... But his betrayal changed her and she was about to make him pay for his sins to her...
These two together were like fire and gazoline and the end result was an explosion of epic proportions...

"He is no longer the boy who kind of stole my heart with his bloody hands. He is the boy who tore it from me without my permission."

Yes, it took two years for Wicked to tell us his story, but the wait was worth it!!!
I know that Amo is not for everyone or for the faint of heart, but I am enjoying the rides that she is offering us!!!
I liked how dark, complicated and fucked up her stories are, even when they seem tamed from the outside...
If you are a dark lover like me, just enter with your own risk!!!

"Wicked is toxic for my soul, but the thing with toxicity is it's addictive."

Wicked by Amo Jones ☆☆☆☆☆

'𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐬.'

*Check your TW's for this one*

Holy hell, I'm still reeling from the last line of the book.
I read this book in one sitting and could not put it down.

Wicked has wormed his way into my top 3 men Amo has written, you could feel the angst and the hate from miles away.

Ruby was just badass, and is easily one of my favourite characters Amo has ever written, she's feisty, fiery and doesn't let any man walk over her.

The CHEMISTRY between Ruby and Wicked was just off the chains and scorching hot. You could tell just how much they hated eachother, but they were it for eachother and no one else would measure up.

Wicked had the crossovers only dreams could give you, with some very well known characters from other books, and it made my heart fucking happy seeing them all again!

In true Amo fashion, I was left reeling, confused and mindfucked right to the end, and with all the twists and turns from this book, I wouldn't of expected anything else.

Lastly Amo, I beg of you if you read this, please I NEED Psyko to have a book!
