Rate this book
Cupid is on the hunt for a very special couple. Grayson Wolff and Jennie Reynolds are at the mercy of his arrow of love. This Valentine’s Day their lives will be changed forever.Grayson Wolff was currently enjoying the success of the microbreweries he’d added to his family’s chain of roadhouses. Working and taking care of his nine-year-old nephew didn’t leave time in his life for a woman. That all changes when Malibu Barbie comes and orders a Pina Colada, with extra fruit. With her California tan and white shorts she sticks out like a rose among a field of cacti. He didn’t do one-night stands, plus he had too much going on in his life to get involved with a blond-haired bimbo. He was so close to achieving his personal goal, and no woman was going to mess it up.Jennie Reynolds took this little vacation before she starts her new job. Pulling a U-Haul cross-country with her antique Volkswagen bus was a challenge and she’d never received so many middle finger insults in her life. A hot dog motorcycle driver cut her off and she missed her exit. Her cell phone was dead, she was lost, tired, and annoyed. Now she was in some honkey tonk, but her wrong turn wasn’t totally bad. The guy sitting next to her met numbers one through five on her, a-guy-must-have Neat scruffy beard, stone-gray eyes, tall, lean muscular body, and he was close to her age. Too bad she couldn’t stick around long enough for numbers six, seven and eight, great in bed.The instant attraction takes them both by surprise and handling this new-found love will be a definite challenge.

I’m a romantic at heart, having married my high school sweetheart, who is still the love of my life. While raising our two children, I was a “closet” writer and managed to complete four books. With the e-book explosion, I bottled up my courage and selected my favorite book, reworked the story line, and self-published “Elusive Obsession,” November 6, 2013.
I like to create characters that the reader can relate to/with. Sometimes while writing a scene, I find myself laughing out loud at the hilarious situations I literally toss them into. They’re not perfect with beautiful bodies, they make mistakes, their not afraid to say I’m sorry, they are not afraid to compromise and they suffer all human emotions. Most important, they love with all their heart..
I like to read books with a “twist” or two in the storyline and you’ll find these OMG situations in my stories. They are stand alone books, but I bring the characters from the first book into the follow-up story. I’ve already got readers clamoring for the next book, “Maid to Order”, that centers around Russell, a character from “Elusive Obsession.”
My characters also love to spend time in the kitchen and whip up their favorite dishes and treats. You’ll find a yummy dish or sweet from the books on my website: judykentrus.com.
I hope you enjoy my books and I love to hear from my readers.

365 DAYS-A-YEAR KIND OF LOVE

The story will take place in Eden Prairie, Indiana when a young woman who will be dubbed as Malibu Barbara, shows up at Wolff’s Roadhouse. When Grayson approaches her, she is upset, has a huge chip on her shoulder, and is lost. Before the night is over—which gets worse before any improvement. What happens when Jennie and Gray work on a solution?

Jennie Reynolds is a woman whose looks are deceiving of the woman she really is. Sent on a mission, getting cut off in traffic by an idiot on a motorcycle, and a cellphone without power will land her at Wolff’s Roadhouse. Meeting Grayson ‘Gray’ Wolff is unexpected—but appreciated.

The story’s plot is a page-turner with likable characters, humor, angst, and action. This is a spicier read than many of Ms. Judy Kentrus’s stories. I liked the chemistry between Gray and Jennie—but their beginning was rough with her with an attitude. Gray and Jennie have one thing in common—no marriage intentions—and both seem jaded on love and romance—especially on holidays like Valentine’s Day.

“Let me put it this way, I won’t be receiving any mushy cards, flowers, or candy. Anyway, cards are a hollow expression of love. Real love should be shared 365 days a year and that’s not in a store-bought card.”

Gray Wolff has been raising Matt, his nephew, after a car accident that killed his parents. He is in the process of trying to adopt him, but some people are delaying it from happening. The story will heavily revolve around Jennie and Gray’s interactions and the situation with Matt. There are secrets and mysteries behind Gray’s sister, Crystal, abandoning her family for a man she falls in love with. They conceive a child but never marry—something that upsets Simon Wolff.

I loved the story with the good, the bad, and the ugly. The story did have several surprises, and yes, it does have the coveted happily ever after ending.

“Do a good deed for a friend in need. I’ll help you out under certain conditions and I’ll expect a few things from you.”

Wow! Great Read.

Grayson Wolf is a very successful owner of Microbreweries and Roadhouses. One evening a blond comes in and because of her type of clothing, is named Malibu Barbie. She proceeds to drink one too many Pina Coladas with fruit. Gray comes to sit with her and they both immediately feel some heat between them. Gray doesn't want to get involved because he has a 9 yr old son and has sworn to never get married.
Barbie (Jennie Reynolds) seems to work her way into his heart.
She is going cross country pulling a U haul with all her belongings to another state but is side tracked when she has a run in with a guy on a motorcycle.
Gray feels bad and helps her out until she can travel again.
Their hot reaction to each other is enough to burn up the pages.I
I was hooked from the first couple of pages and the humor will keep you laughing. I would recommend you read this romantic and funny book.

This is another fantastic story by this amazing author. I love this story and how I was captivated right from the beginning. Jennie Reynolds taking a little vacation while en route to her new job. After being cut off by a rude motorcycle driver and missing her exit, ends up at Grayson Wolff's Road House. Because of the cute little white shorts, Jennie is wearing she gets called Malibu Barbie and handle she puts up only so long. Their attraction is immediate. They enjoy a meal and then the rude driver who turns out to be Grayson's bartender shows up and all hell breaks out. This beautiful story is full of humor, drama, suspense, and hot romance. Will Jennie and Gray ever admit their feelings for each other? I love the character of 9-year-old Mathew (Grayson's nephew that he is adopting) and how he took to Jennie so quickly. I loved the twists and turns, and surprises you do not see coming. It is really a fabulous story.

Wow!

I absolutely loved this story. This updated version of a previous book is beautifully written with surprises at every turn. Gray has to be the sexist hero ever. Jennie is one smart intelligent string heroine. Mathew is a sweet 10 year old that will get to your heart.

Judy's descriptions are more vivid, touching, and surprising than ever. 5 stars for the shower scene. You met the challenge of writing
a scene that had to be the hardest to make it very believable.

This story is the 2nd in a series, but would be a fantastic stand alone. But this book! You will not be disappointed.

Ebook

She goes to check out a man and his nephew but they don’t know it. She winds up stranded as her vehicle is Sabotaged. Living with the guy gives her a good view of the relationship between the guy and his nephew and her to fall in love with the two. She leaves because she has a job commitment and 6 months later he comes to get her.

This book caught my attention from the first chapter with the Malibu Barbie reference. From there the chemistry caused my kindle to sizzle. A great read.
