Tiny and Pointy have decided to perform in the talent show, but they aren’t sure what talent they should perform. Tiny has some talents like playing an instrument and Pointy can ride a unicycle. But can they do them well enough for the talent show? Maybe there is something the two of them can do together. Tiny has an idea that they can be magicians.

After lots of practice and problem-solving and trial and error, Tiny and Pointy think they have an act to perform for the audience. The night of the show, Pointy sees the huge crowd and starts to have jitters. Tiny gets nervous too and tries to encourage Pointy, but decides that he will perform for the both of them. You’ll have to read to find out if the two of them can overcome their fears and perform their act for the audience.

Tiny and Pointy showcase their friendship and trust in each other. They work together to solve their problem and listen to each person’s ideas. They persevere to come up with a plan and when it is time to perform, their nerves just might get the best of them. But, Tiny doesn’t get worried, he pivots and comes up with a new plan. Tiny and Pointy show kids the importance of friendship and supporting each other as well as having fun. There are three books in the series, so check them all out

I love all the Tiny T-Rex books! The characters are so cute - in their personalities and their illustration - and the humorous stories are great for all ages! This one, like the others, deals with themes of friendship, confidence and persevering. Loved it!!

In the fifth installment of the *Tiny T. Rex* series, *Tiny T. Rex and the Grand Ta-Da!*, Jonathan Stutzman and Jay Fleck bring readers another adventure featuring the lovable Tiny T. Rex. While the storyline itself left something to be desired, the illustrations were the true highlight, elevating the book with their undeniable charm and cuteness.

The narrative follows Tiny T. Rex as he embarks on another quest, this time involving a "Grand Ta-Da!" Despite the promise of an exciting adventure, the plot felt somewhat lackluster and didn't fully engage me. The storyline seemed to lack the depth and creativity found in previous installments, making it difficult to connect with Tiny T. Rex's journey this time around.

However, what the story lacked in excitement, the illustrations more than made up for. Jay Fleck's artwork is vibrant, adorable, and full of delightful details that capture the essence of Tiny T. Rex's world. Each page is a visual treat, bringing the characters and their antics to life in a way that is sure to captivate young readers. The illustrations alone make the book worth flipping through, even if the story doesn't quite hit the mark.

Overall, *Tiny T. Rex and the Grand Ta-Da!* might not be the strongest entry in the series, but Jay Fleck's enchanting illustrations ensure it remains a delightful read for children. While the storyline may not have impressed me, the visual appeal of the book is undeniable, and fans of Tiny T. Rex will still find joy in the colorful and cute artwork.

Challenges: Just Read June (a book every day); Reading Goal Posts/Stacking the Series - Category 1/23 (staying current with series). Stutzman brings us the latest installment of Rawrie Tiny T. Rex. Instead of competing with his friend Pointy Stegosaurus in a community talent show, Rawrie joins forces with Pointy affirming that combining their skills and learning something new together both will succeed. With their little friend, Teddy Bear Bob, they do just that. They find their magic word, work out a plan and give a Ta-Da! performance for all their dinosaur friends. Jay Fleck stretches his creative muscles using pencil and digitally enhanced color for 52 pages, longer than the usual children's illustrated book. I hope Tiny's adventures continue.

Learning how to do magic is hard! But Tiny T. Rex and Pointy are determined to win the talent show by making something disappear. But even after acquiring hats and learning magic words, making something disappear just isn't working. So it's back to the drawing board! Finally they figure things out and practice and -- Pointy gets stage fright right before the show! Can Tiny T. Rex make Bob disappear all by himself!?
A great book about perseverance and reassurance that it's OK to be afraid - and not everyone is good at everything but working with your best friend always helps.

Tiny T. Rex and the Grand Ta-Da! just joined our growing collection of the Tiny T. Rex books, and it's just as fabulous as the previous two!! The adventures of Tiny and his best friend, Pointy, are always sweet, comical, with just a hint of encouraging life lessons! The witty writing of Stutzman combined with the illustrating chops of Fleck are a WIN (as usual)! Tiny will always have a place on our bookshelf :)

Tiny T.Rex and Pointy are determined to win the talent show by doing magic and making something disappear. This is a fun story to share with a child who's nervous or anxious about something, or one who is trying to learn magic. I won't be using it in story time because the text is a little disjointed and there's too much dialog for reading aloud smoothly. But if you've got a Tiny T.Rex-loving kid or a magic-loving kid, this will definitely be a hit!

Tiny T. Rex and his best friend Pointy have decided to enter the talent show, and WIN. They will perform a magic act together, but soon discover that doing magic isn't that easy, but they practice really hard, and when the big day comes, so does a case of the jitters, and stage fright. How will Tiny and Pointy get their act together in time to perform and win?

Stutzman has created a very lovable tiny dinosaur that keeps giving to readers with each new title. This time he and a friend are planning for a magical performance before peers. There is a lot to learn to do magic tricks, but Tiny T. Rex finds that what is most important is to work with a friend as there is strength in friendship that is magical.

Two young dinosaurs, Tiny T-Rex and his friend Pointy, want to win the talent show. They each can do many things, but they can do even more when they work together. The two of them decide they want to be magicians and make something disappear. It is harder than they thought it would be. This is a cute story and has bright amusing illustrations.

Tiny and Pointy are hoping to win a talent contest by becoming magicians. Being a magician is hard work, but they quickly realize that together they can accomplish what they set out to do. Cute addition to the Tiny T. Rex world.

Tiny T. Rex and his friend Pointy want to be great magicians. They know that to be the best magicians they can be they must work together. Practice makes perfect!

Not as cute as others in the series, but if you're library's like mine, you can never have too many dinosaur books!

I enjoyed this one. For a tiny t Rex and little arms to be doing magic was fun! I was surprised at how long this was and I am curious if this has any impact on other kids or parents that read this. It was good!

Wonderful story, great illustrations, only gave it a 3 because if you removed the illustrations you wouldn’t even really have a story at all, most of it is told through the character interaction as opposed to any regular story structure.

This was probably my least favorite in the series but it is still a cute children's book!

It's a great ending to the series, showing children that magic can happen when we are brave and work together 😊

A great series.
Tiny and Pointy decide to perform in a show. They each have their own talents but to perform together they need to come up with an act. They listen to each other and come up with an idea and then get performance jitters. A great story on friendship and helpiing.

Daughter was so tickled when we picked up another Tiny T. Rex book from the library and he had a magician's hat on, on the cover. Imo not as good as the Impossible Hug one, but kiddo loves the Pointy and Tiny duo regardless

This is the newest installment of Tiny T. Rex. It's not as good as the very first book (Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug), but it is still good!
