I am really enjoying this series. After Kat wins the tournament, Silas the dome leader has become more bold in his attempts to stop her. He has threatened her before but this time he goes to far. Silas tells Kat that she must travel outside the dome to find her dead sisters notes. She had been working on a project for Silas when she was killed. Now Kat isn't sure it was an accident at all. As Kat and her friends get their evac suits on, they discuss looking for the artifacts as well but they don't realize the danger they are in. Soon they are far away from the protection of the dome when they realize someone meddled with their air tanks. The constant beeping is making them scared. They are to far away from the safety of the dome so they will need to find another solution and fast.
A very enjoyable read.

What an adventure

Kat and her four girlfriends just won the gladiator games, she has a swordless scabbard that turns gold when she touches it, graduation is just around the corner and she still hasn't figured out what happened to the dragons. Silas, the evil dictator of Heliok has a quest for her and four of her friends outside the domes, is it a true quest or a ploy to make her disappear for good? Kat once again thwarts his plans as she and her friends go through a portal to another world filled with dragons, magic, adventure and hope. This story is such a wonderful adventure even with the hardships. Cannot wait for more. Amy is Grandmother Talya come to life

Another great read I can't seem to put these books down. I am excited to see where this goes now that the dragons have been introduced. I am also intrigued by the story splitting into 2 story lines following different characters.

The group of friends successfully won the competition. Unfortunately, Katherine has made some powerful enemies. Sent on a dangerous mission, in an effort to survive the plot against them, Katherine and some of the group discover what most don't believe exists. Will they make it back home? What new challenges are ahead?
