Even though I am admittedly a wimp when it comes to scary books and movies, I found it to be a good read. It was not so much scary as, overall, a tribute to the human/cat bond and how cats can impact human lives, forming a connection that sometimes manifests in ways that defy explanation. Author, Dusty Rainbolt, compiled this collection of “eye witness accounts” from various cat lovers who described encounters with the ghost of a cat. In some cases, these accounts include visits from beloved former pets. In other instances, the ghost cat’s identity is a mystery.
The end of the book includes a list of places people can visit — if they dare — that are well known for their ghost cat sightings.
Ever have pet pass away and yet feel like they are still with you? This book is called Ghost Cats 2 however, the stories in the book, could apply to any pet. I was fascinated to read these heart warming stories, very easy to relate to as I am an animal lover. Some of the stories made me giggle because, I could relate to the story being shared. I have to say, I did cry a lot while reading the book; most were tears of joy as the pet owner appreciated the occurrence. Then there were tears of sadness, as the story just touched my soul in an unexplainable way.
This was a very heartwarming collection of feline ghost stories. I love everything supernatural, and reading about our furry loved ones sticking around to tie up loose ends before heading into the light was actually so comforting. It definitely made me give my fur children a few extra hugs while reading though.
This book was acquired from a recent Goodreads giveaway. I really loved it, and would highly recommend reading it. Also, I want to read the first in the series, as well as the next one the author is intending to write.
