Rate this book
Darcy Simon isn't running away from her problems. She just needs a change of scenery. At least that's what she tells herself when she hops in her car and leaves her old life behind.

Once she sees the home she's renting--a storybook cottage on a quiet street-- she's convinced she made the right decision. Living on her own is exactly what she needs.

Except she isn't alone.

Jeremy has been in the attic, unnoticed for so long he's beginning to think it will never change.

Then Darcy moves in.

Layne Deemer is one of my favorite authors I’ve read everything she’s written and she never lets me down. Whether it’s a thriller a woman’s fiction or in this case a paranormal romance she always manages to blow me away.

The House on Everly Lane follows Darcy who leaves her hometown for a change of scenery. When she sees her storybook cottage she knows she’s made the right decision, but little does she know she isn’t alone in her new home. Jeremy is a ghost and has been stuck in the attic alone and unnoticed until Darcy moves in and changes both of their lives.

I absolutely loved this book. I am a sucker for anything that has to do with ghosts. So when I saw that Layne was releasing a ghost romance I was ecstatic! This story is so sweet and romantic I loved the slow burn between Darcy and Jeremy, and I love love loved how they managed to solve the mystery of their love story.

I can’t recommend this book enough. Seriously if you love a sweet romantic story you must pick this up, and even more so if you love a good ghost romance!! The story and its characters will steal your heart just like it did mine!

And while I’m at it. Check out Layne’s backlist. She has such an amazing catalog of books that the bookworld shouldn’t be sleeping on!

Ghost Romance

I love a good ghost story, lighthearted or not. This is one of the more lighthearted as it's not scary. Darcy moves to a small town to take a librarian job. She moves into the perfect small house. It's not long before she realizes she's not alone. I absolutely loved both main characters, especially Jeremy, otherwise known as the ghost. I enjoyed the story and I have to hand it the author as she made the story work in the end. Enough said.
It's an adult read and I enjoyed the romance and also a side character named Milly. There is even a villain to hate on. Recommended to paranormal romance readers.

That was unexpected but completely entertaining!
Unexpected because it was a story about a ghost ,but it was also about true love and how it can withstand the test of time-space and many other boundaries.
Now I’m just saying, read it and fall into love with this story too!

Another complete delight from Layne Deemer! This was my first foray into paranormal romance, but is not likely to be the last and for sure will not be the last book I read from Deemer. I loved the coziness of the home library, cottage, small town—it all felt super familiar in a real way. I wished that I could visit the town, drive by their house. It was just really lovely. Do not hesitate to pick this one up.

This is the first romance I've read that involved ghosts, and I actually enjoyed it. Jeremy is a giant green flag. The man can do no wrong. I only took a star off because of predictability. Although I still enjoyed the ending, I called it very soon into the book
