7 Steps to Finding Profitable Products to Sell on Amazon: Tips on Finding the Best Things to Sell

Rate this book
To successfully sell products on Amazon, you need to do several important things. These are the very same things those who make millions every year selling items on the platform do every day.

Having been in the e-commerce space for many years, I know almost anyone can succeed in selling products online through Amazon Marketplace and other e-commerce platforms.

For starters, let's consider some of the most important things you need to do to succeed as a top seller on Amazon.

To succeed, you will need
The Importance of Choosing Profitable Products

Of all the actions you need to do to succeed in selling products on Amazon, the most important one is to sell profitable products.

Not all products sold on Amazon are profitable.

Many Amazon millionaires sell high-volume, fast-moving products. If you choose to sell products with limited or little customer demand, you probably won't make much money on Amazon Marketplace; even if you had a marketing budget of one million dollars.

The products you sell are key to earning a profit in any business, not just selling on Amazon.

You probably know small business owners who failed to grow their businesses because they only sold products with limited customer demand, right?

You also may know small business owners whose businesses grew too fast because the demand for their products went through the roof, right?

Before becoming a seller on Amazon, you need to invest time, resources and effort to pick the right products to sell.

However, when it comes to selling on Amazon, demand alone is not the only factor to consider when deciding which products to sell.

You also need to consider your sales margins (the difference between what a product costs and what you sell it for) and the competition you face when selling the same or similar products.

If your margins are too thin, you won't make enough revenue to sustain your business. In a highly competitive market, you may not generate as much revenue because you'll have to compete with many other sellers.

You also don't want to sell seasonal products, as once the season is over, your sales will probably fall, and you'll be forced to look for other products to sell over a very short period.

Does this sound too complex for you? If you're new to e-commerce, then probably it is.
Luckily, you don't have to worry about choosing the right products because I'm here to help you.

In the next seven chapters, we'll look at the steps you should take to select profitable products to sell on Amazon.
