The Venture has taken flight and set off to explore the dimension of Taryl. Their trip should have been an easy one, traveling from town to town, instead they're facing monsters and mayhem at every turn.
Can Levi and his classmates discover why so many things are going wrong on their voyage?
The Demon Lord is taking a semester abroad to find out more about himself, and he's invited everyone he loves to come along with him.
Began gaming at the age of 8 and explored a lot of different ways to play table top. When I got older, I experimented with MMOs and found a few I really liked. My first job was mowing lawns as a young teen, and I worked to use the money to pay for fantasy series like DragonLance, Dark Sun, and Forgotten Realms. As soon as I discovered LitRPG I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my writing.
Aside from taking care of my sons as a single father, writing is what I love to do most. I hope you all enjoy my work.
I like this series. It has a good balance between the elements. I like the characters, the magic system, the sex scenes are well written (also not too much or too little). There are just enough pop culture references to be interesting without being over the top. Overall an enjoyable read.
Why did I have to finish it so quickly?! I wish I was till reading it or had the next one already in my grasps!
This volume had me laughing, tearing up, angry, hot under the collar, and gosh darn anxious to figure out who the saboteur was. Then to have interesting things to come to light like what those cubes that Glint loves to eat!
At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review.
Genre: Isekai harem where MC is transported to a wizard school with houses
Power dynamics in harem: The MC is in charge, the girls are fully dedicated to him. Explicit/adult material: Explicit. Well written.
Summary: Levi and his girls as well of some other class mates are going on the maiden voyage of the airship Venture. But not everything is at it seems and what should be a simple trip turns into an epic adventure.
Narrators Voice diversity: Good- Characters have their own easily followed voices. Pacing and intonation: Pacing and intonation supports the writing perfectly and emerges you completely in the story. Sex scenes: Well done. Jonathan Waters and Katana Jones are expert narrators and it shows. Overall: 5 / 5 stars.
The book’s strengths. - I love that the series continued with going deeper into the personalities of the girls - Deeper relationships with the pets and a better understanding of them - I liked the break from the school setting and the travelling vibe - The narration
The book’s weaknesses. - Nothing comes to mind. It was a great book.
Overall: 5/5 stars The author build on the series strengths and it keeps getting better and better. I can't wait to listen to the next in the series!
Okay Frost, you e created a monster…. Seriously, I need 20 more books IMMEDIATELY! 😈 this series is soooo good. I’m so excited and can’t wait for the next book! Levi is truly coming into his powers! I do love how he’s beginning to get more and more powerful. Levi and Susan’s relationship has been truly put into perspective and it explains many things and I now understand why things are the way they are. I’m also curious about Flix as well. I want to see how she will continue to develop. I’m excited on the Tawny front and I couldn’t stop cheering about Julia. I’m curious where Frost is going to take this story and I’m curious how many books this series is going to be. The way the book ended I’m shocked the Director didn’t take action. Cliffhangers are always painful. I hope we get our next instalment fast. Superb series so far! Also I love all the 80s and 90s references to some of my favorite movies… the thing with Glint kinda shocked me… I truly hope though the book doesn’t focus on this kind of stuff. I mean I get it, different world/dimension etc… but the state of the current world I truly don’t want to tackle politics, woke silliness and gender issues. Please let’s not focus on this stuff. I’d drop the series super fast.
The shared element that tends to plague harem series is their repetitiveness. Typically, that is in the constant stream of one-dimensional love interests, but can also extend to other mundane elements: there's the girl that's all about the sweets, there's the girl that falls asleep everywhere, there's the pet that's all about the nuts (I feel at book 3 into the series I can just leave that statement hang there), there's the pet that's all about the gross sticky tongue or the inexplicable blushing over everything and needing to observe how adorable it is. I realize this is all the harem formula for supposed cuteness, but monotony takes cuteness out behind the barn and puts it down every time.
I'm about 20 percent through the story and just so bored with reading about desserts and all the other repetitive nonsense.
I really like this series it has lots of action has some good character building everything seems to make sense the way it's laid out both the science the magic and the fantasy. I also enjoy the way the characters interact with each other both the good and the bad it makes for a very dramatic Adventure fun packed story.my only complaint is maybe there's a little too much sexy scenes in it but it does emphasize the Romantic angle even though it is a little bit out there but this is an erotic story as well so I guess that part is covered and the story could have been longer if it one or two of the scenes wasn't in there but then again it would be taken away from the erotic aspects of the story.
This one had so many twists and turns. Some questions answered and then new mysteries and conflict to fill the gaps. The glint scenario was hilarious. Beatrice was a surprise. Ancient dragon mom shows up. Levi gets some awesome upgrades. The zuzan cliffhanger tidbit is mildly cruel to dangle in front of us then use that bit of dramatic irony to make Levi forget. All in all this was a fantastic entry and my favourite by far. I was slightly worried by the way the story seemed to focus too heavily on constraining his demon lord powers from book 2, but this was handled in a much better way. Can wait for the next book and to see how they go after the empire
Levi is coming into his own person with the help of his friends an teachers considering this is all new to him being reborn in a new body an in a new world run by magic . The costillian Empire has it out for him just because of he was reborn with a new body an abilities that he had no control over though he's never done anything to them individually to acurr their wrath from the beginning . He just wanted to live a normal second life he only dreamed of .Let the adventures begin . excellent series recommend reading .
The characters, especially the MC and the tamed beasts are perfect, and what give this story so much potential. A demon lord going against an evil empire, that also is a good overarching plot. However where this book series fails is with story telling and side plots. Honestly book 2 was some of the worst story telling I’ve ever seen, luckily it was under 250 pages. This book, again not much of a story. Chapter 16-18, a critical turning point is utterly confusing.
Never mind this book is a two star. I was a little too generous with 3
This is getting to be a very interesting series. The fact that they have a new battle going on and new powers on his hands, I think it's more than likely that they will have some more time for fun. Flix and Zuzan are getting to be more important than we could have guessed. I hope this will stay the story we all have wanted to be.
The world is not what you expected. Magic is every wear and individuals can draw it in. Now figure out the who, what, and where the magic comes from. And who you are is the greatest mystic of all.
I love this series and this installment is no different. Dragons and steampunk with lots of steam. I enjoy the the action and characters throughout the story and am looking forward to the next book!
Great plot, lots of twists and turns and unexpected events! Interesting characters, both good guys and bad guys! I can't wait until the next book comes out! Please, please, please🙏 don't take too long!!!
Several things happened in this book that are hard to imagine. Levi was visited buy a dragon, an unknown that he did not recognize and a vision of Zuzan. Levi continues to astound!
So imagine ST:TNG but it's on a fantasy airship and Ryker is fucking Picard, Worf, Data, and Crusher. Well, this book isn't as exciting as that but it is a significant improvement over the 1st two volumes.
I really enjoyed reading this. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.
The book was very book. A great part 3. Looking forward to the 4th instalment. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long. I recommend the book! Highly recommend it.
A good addition to this series. New awakening abilities, surprises, drama, violence, adventure, action, magic, and romance. Eager to read the next book in series.
The woke starts to wake in this book, there's paragraph after paragraph of anti-racist (speciest?) drivel, and then and the they/them pronouns come out. I mean, you do you, boo, but they/them reads like sh!t in a novel since it removes the singular/plural context clue for who the pronoun refers to. There are enough minor typos in this series that the author should have avoided making some on purpose.
