Small-town lawyer, Brady Douglas is everybody’s gay best friend. He’s the good guy, the cute guy—the proverbial sidekick. When he moved home after his dad’s ALS diagnosis, he gave up a cushy, big-city life and a chance to make a name for himself, and now he’s stuck. But when he meets Theodore Burroughs Jr., the sexy CEO of an international finance company, attraction makes him second guess everything.
Hard attraction.
Broken down and beaten up, Theo Burroughs may be a billionaire, but he’s also a mess. His dream of opening a community center in downtown Wisper, Wyoming is within his grasp, but an incident three years earlier changed the trajectory of his life, and drinking the pain away hasn’t done him one bit of good, so now, all anyone sees is an entitled pretty boy whose money should be able to cure him of anything.
But it can’t.
Storms threaten to push them apart, but bright lightning strikes, and love may be the only thing to heal them both.

Greta Rose is staying in Wisper, getting to know it’s residents better, and i’m só glad she does. Because there are quite a few i was curious about, and she’s giving me the dirty deeds on them….and i’m loving it! But with Storms Inside Us it’s só much more….the depth of their emotions, the struggles of both men…it was breaking my heart to see them go through all that. Knowing they could be so good for eachother, but seeing them struggle on their own, meant this ARC was a very emotional story to read.
Having to deal with what happened in the past is tearing Theo apart, and for a while alcohol seems a way to escape the devastating feelings he has. To escape the self loathing of knowing he was ready to kill a man. To avoid the question of who he was now, without his sister to care for,and without being a CEO. But the alcohol doesn’t prevent him from wanting the beautiful man that is his lawyer…. Only,he knows he’s not good enough for him,and he’s not sure he’ll ever be. He needs a helpful nudge from a new friend to make a start at finding a way out of his misery. To stop drinking,to face his past,to find a new meaningful future. Preferably with Brady…..if he’ll still have him.
Brady is struggling with his father’s ALS….seeing the man he’d always looked up to being slowly reduced to a mere shadow of who he was,is tearing him apart. Knowing he’s still in there, fully aware of what’s happening to him,and what that does to the ones he loves. If he could run away from it,he would, but he can’t….because it would mean missing those precious last moments with the father he still loves so much. Plus, there is a man he would love to get to know better. A man that is beautiful, even at his lowest point in life. There’s one problem though….he’s his lawyer, and it’s unethical to be in a relationship with your client. Also, they’re both in a rough place and in no position to even think about starting one!
What these two tortured souls need,is someone to love. Someone to see them for who they are,and simply be there. Once they gave in,once they allowed themselves to show the stormy emotions inside,it made them feel a peace they’d never felt before. The sky cleared, the sun started shining again, and it showed them the road towards the happiness they so deserved!
The emotions in this story…..they’re something we can all relate to at times, and Greta Rose caught those perfectly! Not only that, but she also shows us that everyone deserves a second chance if they show they need it. And that it doesn’t matter who you are,or what you do,there is always someone that loves you. And that means you too….Sam and Frank!
Storms Inside Us made my heart full and happy but it also battered and shattered it first. Like with all of Greta’s stories, there was a perfect combination of romance, heat, angst, and turmoil. Greta uses Theo and Brady’s rocky road to happy as a way to show the reader that no one comes out of life unscathed and you can’t get through the trials and hardships life throws at you without help.
“…you are in the eye of the storm. If you look, you will see the destruction it’s causin’ all around you. You must stop it. You must let the winds die down.”
This was a heavy story because ALS has touched my life twice. Once through my husband’s uncle and once through my cousin’s mother. The disease strips so much from the sufferer and those around. Despite the cruelness of ALS, Greta was able to take something devastating and remark on the beauty and importance of love and the relationships we create in our lives. The other heavy topic - alcoholism - was also written in such a way that it made the journey to sobriety beautiful. I applaud Greta for taking a dive into what can be triggering plot points and making it heart wrenching yet heart warming as well. Mindfully written, Storms Inside Us celebrates life and all its smooth and barbed moments.
I loved getting to see past characters and a few new secondary characters that added comedic relief to the heavier tone of the story. I also adored the representation of different kinds of love and acceptance in here.
Brady was everything. I thought he was such a kind soul that had so much growth emotionally and mentally. Even in his worst moments, you felt for him and his conflicting emotions. It was such a surprise to read how he connected with Theo in the bedroom and it set my Kindle on fire *fans self.* Brady and Theo understood each other on such a deep level. As if their souls were always meant to find each other.
Theo hasn’t always been my favorite character for various reasons but I really fell in love with him here. He turned his life around and was able to acknowledge his mistakes and take a good long hard look at himself. I admire that ability and I enjoyed being on that journey with him. I also thought he was the perfect rock for Brady even when he struggled to be his own.
What I love about Greta’s writing (and what I’m sure I’ve said before) is her characters really suck you in and you feel as if you are there too. Sharing in their triumphs and crying with them in their “failings.” This was truly an exquisite story about how, if we let it, grief and regret can consume and bury us. But we are never alone if only we are willing and open to companionship and sharing our burdens with another. We don’t have to travel on our journey of life alone and Brady and Theo built such a beautiful path!
Overall, a read worth diving into if you love MM stories with passion, emotion, and a thought provoking plot. I’m really looking forward to what’s next in this world!! Looking at you Frank and Samantha.
I was so excited to go back to Whisper. Brady and Theo were made for each other. It broke my heart with the silent battles they both were going through. I loved going through this journey with them. I can't wait for the next book!!!! Thank you Greta!!!
GRW never fails to suck me into her imaginary world, and every time I come out at the end of a book, I'm always sad to leave. It's like a nostalgia book hangover. I'm addicted to this feeling!
I loved Theo & Brady's story. I love the way Greta writes MM - it's hot and steamy, but there's sensitivity in how she approaches gay relationships and I appreciate that a lot. I don't read a lot of MM but I will always read Greta's MM.
And now I'm ITCHING for Frank's book! Big, muscly, and the strong silent type? GIMME.
This is a MM Romance, and this is the second book in the Wisper Dream series. I have read the first book in the series before picking up this book. This book is very touching, and both main characters have a ton of stuff they are trying to work through. I enjoyed the crazy ride this book took me through.
Storms Inside Us is book 2 of the Wisper Dreams Series, in this book we get Theo & Brady’s story and I’ll be honest it’s not an easy one to read, the author had me crying at about 70%, I’ll try not to give any spoilers away but I highly recommend reading the trigger warnings as alcoholism & parent loss are big parts of the story. We know a little about both these characters especially Theo but it was so good to really get an understanding of who they were as individuals. Theo is struggling with PTSD and has been using alcohol to deal with it until he meets Devo (can’t wait to hear more about her). Since moving to Wisper, his lawyer has been Brady, there’s an attraction there but neither want to cross the boundaries, both are dealing with heartbreaking situations, but as the feelings grow, fighting the attraction becomes harder for both. This story is heartbreakingly beautiful, new characters are introduced and as always there’s a lovely HEA ending. 4.5 stars.
An emotional roller coaster of a ride as both Brady, the town lawyer and Theo, the town billionaire, try to find a way to cope with all their upheavals that are plaguing their lives. Their present circumstances are messy, Theo who has turned to drinking to cope and Brady, who keeps everything locked up tight as his dad is slowly fading away. They need each other but are afraid of the outcome, both thinking that they are not good enough for the other and when it all comes to head….can they find their way back to each other and heal. A great that will leave you misty eyed and cheering that Brady and Theo will heal each other and find happiness. There may be tough emotional scenes for some but they were handled with care and in between a beautiful story emerged. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
WOW! Welp, Greta does it again! If u ain't ready to have ur heart pulled outta ur chest again & cry like a baby...I would wait a minute or take it slow reading this 1. Brady losing his father to the nasty, horrible disease ALS is so heart breakin. Could be cuz I lost my brother in law to it too. It's horrible watching someone full of life fade to nothin. I'm so glad Theo got clean & sober. I know how that is too. I come from a mother that was addicted to drugs & my father is an alcoholic. Getting sober & staying sober isn't for the weak. Theo & Brady findin their soul mate in each other & helpin each other outta their dark holes is BEAUTIFUL! When u find someone that will be there NO MATTER WHAT & that UNDERSTANDS is somethin else. I recently found that myself. It's a special kinda magic!!
Storms Inside Us by Greta Rose West is so much more than a HEA M/M romance! This story brings back 2 characters from previous Wisper, WY stories: Theo (Ace’s brother) and Brady (local lawyer and friend to Oly).
Theo is suffering from everything in his past he couldn’t control, his parents’ death, his sister’s injuries, his attempt to kill the man threatening his sister and has turned to alcohol. His alcoholism plays a big role in this story and may be triggering for some. Brady is back home in Wisper to help his family as his father slowly succumbs to ALS. Again, this story line may be quite triggering for some. With that said, Greta, once again, finds a way to delve into these topics with grace and understanding.
Please don’t let that sway you, however! This is such a beautiful story of acceptance and forgiveness and finding a love not only for another person, but for oneself as well.
There are many cameos from beloved characters from previous books, as well as some new, wonderful characters I hope to learn more about in future stories.
Oh man…grab your tissues before you start this one! Greta’s books always reach out and tap sources of angst and longing, but this one is really. The depth of emotion is truly incredible. The storyline is absolutely amazing; the characters fully developed—and oh so real; plot twists and turns abound; and the HEA comes at such a price. You really do need to get this book for your library. It deserves a place on your TBR today! (I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book and was deeply moved by it. It’s an amazing read!) ❤️❤️❤️
OMG I just finished Arc reading this book by Greta Rose West and I don't even have words for how amazing this story is! It is basically the story of Brady and Theo's journey, but the underlying and surrounding storyline is so beautifully written. It will make you laugh, cry and cheer on not only Brady and Theo but also many of the other wonderful characters you will get to know. And yes, there is spice, but this book is about acceptance, compassion, community and so much more. Greta has a way of taking on sensitive subjects, real life issues and human emotions in such a beautiful way it will touch your heart in ways you may not expect. I cannot express how much I recommend this story.
One is broken and finding his way back the other is about to have his life torn apart.
Two men, lost, on separate path trying to find their truth. But when their lives intersect will they find the way through their own pain to see each other.
Theo Burroughs is a shell of the man he used to be. He knows all people see is the entitled drunk, but he also knows he needs to be so much more.
Brady Douglas is a successful lawyer who returned to Wisper when his father the man he admired and looked up to his whole life was diagnosed with ALS.
Come join Theo and Brady is this brilliant story of loss, discovery, acceptance, and love.
A copy of the book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
This book surpassed my expectations and they were high! I couldn’t wait to be back in Wisper and find out if Theo and Brady would find their HEA together. There was so much to love about this book. We learned so much more about Theo and how he was trying to deal with his past. I definitely fell in love with him when I realized all he’d sacrificed for his sister. Brady is a hot mess, but having to watch a parent fade away can definitely do that to a person. These characters are so real and not perfect; I loved that! We were introduced to new characters – Sam and Devo. These two women are hysterical and I cannot wait to read their stories. What didn’t this book have? Nothing! It was EVERYTHING and I am here for it! I felt like I was in Wisper and that I know these characters. I did cry a couple times in this book – fair warning! Finishing was bittersweet. I highly recommend you jump into Wisper too!
A copy of the book was given to me in exchange for an honest review, which you can read below.
I devoured this book in one day! Seriously, I couldn't put it down. I've read all of Greta's books surrounding Wisper and although I liked some slightly more than others, overall I love every one of them.
This one got me because both Theo and Brady are really good with reading their own emotions. They are in sync with their feelings, they can identify them and are even able to communicate them to the world around them. Yes, there are instances where one or the other lashes out in anger, but they recognize their mistakes and apologize, too. This is what healthy, open communication looks like, in my opinion.
Before I started reading, I was a bit afraid about how Theo's addiction would be handled. Some may say that it was a bit speedy and maybe a bit too easy, but I don't think that's true. Every person has a different path and Theo does struggle, but he's determined and I think Greta handled it with great care. I was also happy that the drama (in regards to Theo's addiction but also concerning Brady's Dad's illness) wasn't overwhelming. It was of course there and I did have to fight against tears at some points, but it wasn't the main point of the whole book. I liked that.
Brady's domineering tendencies came totally out of the blue for me but holy moly was that first smut scene hot! So were all the rest, but that first one really got me. Over all the change from sexual tension to sexual chemistry to love felt really natural.
As with all of Greta's characters, the ones in this book are well developed, they all have their own personalities and you just feel while reading that Greta puts a lot of effort into that part of her writing.
I personally love the fact that this book series (as well as the Cade Brothers series!) is a rather diverse one. We get more than the usual straight, white, cis heteronormativity and I'm here for it!!! At the same time, it doesn't feel like that's the main focus, as if it's just to catch more readers. For me it feels naturally, like Greta genuinely want's to have all kinds of body forms, skin colors, ethnicities, sexualities etc. represented in her books.
I for my part can't wait for the next book and even more the one after that, as the hint at the end told me that we will get even more diverse. Yay!
And here I thought I couldn’t love anyone more than Kevin and Luuk. But Greta strikes again.
Brady Douglas is a successful lawyer who has returned home to Wisper, Wyoming to help with the care of his father as he enters late stages of ALS. Torn between being a good son and working as a small-town lawyer in his mom’s firm, Brady has put his needs on the back burner for years.
Theo Burroughs is a multimillionaire who has taken up residence in Wisper to be closer to his sister. A blackmailing incident from his past has left him shaken, turning to alcohol to forget. After three years of drowning his shame, he is determined to get his life back on track.
Neither man is in a position to fall in love—or so they tell themselves. But it’s hard to avoid each other in a small-town when they are client and lawyer. And it’s even harder when they can’t fight their mounting attraction for the other.
This book put me through the feels. It raises awareness of what LGBTQ+ members go through, especially in rural communities. It highlighted the struggles of poverty and community needs in a small-town. It brought awareness of the struggles those going through AA experience. And it educated readers about ALS and hospice care.
I bawled. I laughed. And I swooned.
Both of these characters were incredibly flawed yet they encouraged each other to be better as individuals before they found their way to each other, stressing putting your needs first so you can be of better service to others. It was such a powerful message and made it possible for these characters to grow throughout the story. Their happily ever after was all the sweeter because of it. Brady and Theo make this small-town western, multicultural, interracial MM romance one of my new favorites.
In addition, the author’s note at the end had me fist pumping the air—I’m so pleased she claps back at anyone who has an issue with her LGBTQ+ characters. Bravo!
Greta has this way with her writing where you are transported INTO the book alongside the characters. It’s one of my favourite things about reading her stories. I feel everything that the characters feel, their downfalls are my downfalls - their success becomes mine too. In addition to this wonderful skill, Greta takes real, raw and soul-breaking topics and manages to show the devastation of those scenarios but also the real beauty behind overcoming those things. We see that again in Storms Like Us. We have two strong MMC’s, Brady and Theo, who from the get go, felt like their souls were made for one another. The kind of “I have loved you in many lifetimes before, and I will love you in this one as well” connection. It feels deep, raw, terrifying yet safe. Brady is losing his father to ALS which is a horrendous disease, and would not be easy to see someone you love wilt away like that. Theo has turned to heavy drinking to cope with his own demons. Both fighting to keep their heads afloat through so much trauma and emotional turmoil. The way they find comfort in eachother is truly beautiful, as you watch them both fight to heal and move forward in life. I was so proud of Theo for getting sober, it’s not easy to do and I was cheering them both on the whole time. “You can get through this, what comes next in life is what you put there.” I have never been one for WLW or MLM romance books, simply because I find some authors are not able to catch the authenticity of same sex relationships if they personally are not sexually/romantically in a same sex relationship. You can be left feel like the characters aren’t realistic, and that some scenarios are just incorrect - sex scenes can be sloppy and just unrealistic. But Greta did a fantastic job of encapsulating Brady and Theo’s love, making their connection deep and special. It was beautiful watching them fall in love and grow with eachother. Such an easy read, I didn’t put it down once I started the book.

Greta Rose West knows how to write a love story. A beautiful, tug at your heart, make you cry, make you laugh, and make you sigh love story. Storms Inside Us is the second book in the Wisper Dreams Series which stems from her Cade Ranch Series. I have enjoyed everything Greta Rose West has written, her books are entertaining, sexy, and a much needed happy ever after but they are all uniquely different from each other. Storms Inside Us is the story of Brady and Theo, who are both introduced in the Cade Ranch Series. This is a M/M romance but it really didn’t matter to me because love is love, and if it is a good story, I am happy to read it. When they are first introduced Brady and Theo are both successful and doing well for themselves but by the time, they have their own book their lives have taken downturns. The main storyline in Storms Inside Us is not just the love story but dealing with those downward spirals, which require Brady and Theo to find out not only who they want to be in this life but who they want to share it with. The road to that discovery is hard for the characters and hard for the reader. West does include a trigger warning at the beginning of the book to inform readers of content regarding alcoholism and the suffering of ALS. There are several charming new characters introduced in this book and I am looking forward to seeing them in future stories. West has also included some of the Cade family members but they do not take over the story but because they are part of Theo and Brady’s lives, they do play roles in the book. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I received an Advanced Reader Copy for my honest review.
This was a beautifully written story of emotional healing in so many ways. Greta Rose West has an exceptional way with words that draw out all your emotions. This story was a tearjerker get some tissues. Theo has been struggling for a while with past trauma that he could not control, his parents dying, his sister's blindness, being blackmailed and his lover's death. All things that were not his fault, but he is drowning in guilt and hate for himself. Brady is dealing with a different type of trauma one that he is dealing with emotionally daily. His father is sick with ALS and if anyone has ever had a family member pass away from this disease you know it is brutal and unforgiving. Greta nailed the families' emotions and situations that they had to deal with on the nail. This is a hard disease and puts families through so much. This story will pull at your heart strings break your heart but put it back together. These two characters have so much strength emotionally that when each of them is needing comfort they find a way to help each other out. Brady and Theo have feelings for each other but feel they are both dealing with so much that adding a relationship to it is not the right thing. This is one story you need to go in blind, so I won't give spoilers but be emotionally ready as it is a roller coaster of emotions but so worth the read. These characters will always have a huge place in my heart. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
I have been worried about Theo since he first appeared in the previous series. He's been through so much in his life and I really wanted things to work out for him. He finally gets his story told in this book. He has dealt with trauma and loss as well as the great responsibility of taking on his father's legacy. Three years ago he lost his bearings and has been struggling to find himself since then. Unfortunately, he used alcohol to dull his pain and now he's trying to recover.
Brady has tried to be there for him, but has his own issues. He returned to Wisper to help care for his father who has ALS and is declining quickly. He's not sure who he'll be when his father is no longer alive and he gave up a prestigious job to be a small-town attorney. He and Theo have been circling around each other for a while, but their current issues make romance hard to achieve.
This is a great story of loss and love and getting on with life after trauma. I lost my father not to long ago and there is no preparing for it, regardless of what anyone says. Just because you can see it coming doesn't mean you'll ever be ready for it. These emotions are all handled really well in this book and although some of it was sad, the eventual happiness of Theo and Brady is worth the pain.
This is an MM story which I don't read often but there is romance at the heart of it just as there was for Kevin and Luuk in the previous series. Just the right amount of sweetness and heat.
Greta Rose West!! Oh boy you got me gooooooood! And..... I'm not even going to say it was dust. The tears, both happy and sad were all for Theo, Brady and their utterly heart squeezing story. Wowsers, what an emotional journey these two took me on about family, forgiveness, acceptance and love. Theo and Brady are 'almost' the definition of right person, wrong time. Both have baggage and are trying hard to dig themselves out of the dark place they find themselves. Theo is fighting his past demons and alcoholism, while Brady is struggling with work, family responsibilities and a sick father he is not ready to lose. But..... With a connection that is soooo strong and some seriously hot chemistry can these two really wait for the right time? Is there ever the right time?
God I adored these two individually and loved them for each other. Their back stories and current situations had my heart in a vice and from the very start I was rooting hard for a HEA. Being back in this little town and world felt like coming home. Re-visiting some of my favourite characters was squeeeee but also getting introduced to some new (god I need your story like yesterday) characters was amazing.
I Highly Recommend this Heartbreakingly Beautiful MM romance story. So grab those tissues, turn on your fan and ENJOY!
I just love Wisper, WY so much and I wish I could visit. Greta Rose West has created such a lovely world. She built it from the beginning and it's only gotten better with each book. We've known both Theo and Brady for awhile and I was so happy to finally get to their story and to see sweet Brady finally get some lovin'. Both of our heroes are going through a LOT individually. (Be sure to peruse the trigger warnings) Ms. West has once again proven that she can use hard themes and struggles with grace and understanding. This book was written beautifully and I cared so much about the characters happiness throughout. There was no big dramatic falling out or fight or some contrived issue for them to overcome. Just real life, hard hard things that any one could experience and they do it together. Not perfectly but like real people. There are also some excellent, steamy scenes that are not to be missed. As always there are plenty of supporting characters throughout the story that enrich the book but also leave you hoping they eventually get their own story. Ms West is a rich story teller and I look forward to the next one!
In summary, this is a well written book about love and lose and finding someone to walk through it all with you. It's got an HEA but make sure you bring a tissue or two to the couch for the journey to get there.
📰 Review: All the feels! Passion, heartache, a recovering alcoholic, found family.
❤️ Rating: 5/5 🔥 Spice: 4/5 🚩 Check TWs
Storms Inside Us by Greta Rose West (Whisper Dreams, bk 2) is Theo and Brady's love story. What a hard-fought battle they had to find happiness.
Theo became an alcoholic about 3 years ago, after a near-death beating, while Brady - his lawyer for a little longer than that - is grappling with his dad's ALS.
🏥 According to Wikkipedia, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as motor neurone disease (MND) or Lou Gehrig's disease, is a rare and terminal neurodegenerative disease that results in the progressive loss of motor neurons that control voluntary muscles.
Theo has an internal awakening about his drunken state after a young woman named Devona, better known as Devo (pronounced Deh-voh), walks into his life one day, saying she needs a job but is happy to volunteer in the meantime to get his inclusive community up and running. (Devo is the best 😊)
Brady has his own inner awakening about his Native American heritage, his career goals and how he wants to spend the time he has left with his ailing father and personal hero.
These two sizzled whenever they gave in to their feelings! They did slow down, for various reasons, but towards the end, we got to see Theo and Brady as a couple and that final scene... the best 💖
Warning: This book talks a lot about addiction and family terminal illness, which might be hard for some readers.
Storms Inside Us is an emotional LGBTQ+ romance about love, loss, and healing. The story - book 2 in West’s ‘Wisper Dreams’ series, a standalone story, but familiar characters from other stories are present - follows Brady, a lawyer who moves back to Wisper to take care of his sick father. At the same time, billionaire Theo Burroughs Jr. is struggling with addiction after an accident. Both men are dealing with pain from their pasts, and as they get to know each other, they find comfort with one another.
One of the things I love about West’s stories - Wisper Dreams as well as her Cade Ranch series - is that her characters are REAL! Brady’s love for his family and Theo’s fight with addiction are written in a way that makes you feel like you’re walking through their struggles with them. It’s gut wrenching at times, but you really begin to root for them and want to see them succeed. I love a good slow-burn romance, and this doesn’t disappoint - plenty of sweet moments and spice, too
I stated at the beginning that this story is heavy and can be triggering, but it’s beautifully told, and for those struggling, this book gives you a sense of hope.
I’m looking forward to reading more of this series!
GRW is a one-click author for me, and I am constantly amazed at how she manages to top herself with every new title. Storms Inside Us is no exception. It’s clear that the author has dug deep and challenged herself as a storyteller, creating a profoundly moving, character-driven romance between two damaged souls whose jagged edges happen to fit together.
I so loved Brady and Theo's story, which realistically grows from attraction to sex to love. Their connection is strong enough to soften the hardest of hearts. But while their combustible love affair is in the forefront, the subplots are just as compelling. For example, a key character has ALS, and it is handled in a very realistically human, touching and unflinching way.
If you’ve read GRW’s Cade Ranch books, you know how masterfully she can make family out of friends, and close-knit community out of perfect strangers. This is one of my favorite things about her stories and she once again does it beautifully here as a supporting cast of local misfits work together to help Brady and Theo achieve their individual goals and encourage their relationship.
How fitting that Storms Inside Us is at times tumultuous and torrid, powerful and electrically charged - because the greater the storm, the better the rainbow. And this one is a beaut.
To title this book “Storms Inside Us" is something of an understatement. It’s emotionally turbulent, heart wrenching, poignant at times and a real rollercoaster from the start. To fully understand Theo's mind set and what led him to his lack of self-esteem, it’s best to read ‘Braved', Book 4 of the Cade Ranch series first. Brady is more of an open book to any reader who has watched a close relative battle a terminal illness. Do not let my summary discourage you though. Theo's and Brady’s story has a glorious HEA although both have to work hard to achieve it, changing their attitudes, beliefs and lifestyles along the way. My only criticism, and its a minor one, is that I felt the final chapters were a little rushed with the Epilogue jumping forward a whole year – a lot can happen in 12 months! It doesn’t detract from the detailed and imaginative storyline though. I’d suggest you gather up the reins, sit back and kick on! It’s a book well worth reading.
Greta Rose West does not disappoint with Storms Inside Us. I really enjoyed The Cade Ranch series and The Wisper Dream series is just as good so far. I loved that we see a reappearance of some of the characters along with a few new ones.
West always draws you in to her characters and Brady and Theo are no different. Brady dealing with the sadness and anger that he is feeling because of his father's illness. Theo dealing with his alcoholism and guilt over wanting to kill because of a threat to his sister. Both feeling that they are not enough for each other. You definitely go through the angst and heartbreak before the HEA.
I also enjoyed getting to meet some of the secondary characters and look forward to seeing more of them. As always, Greta Rose West knocks it out of the park. Can't wait for the next in the series.
Greta Rose West has created an amazing "Whisper". The characters are believable and the town seems real. I had absolutely loved the cade brothers.now the this world is expanding slowly with new additions. This is 2nd MM romance by the author and though I feel not many authors do justice to this genre .Ms West hasn't disappointed me. Both Brady and Theo felt so human battling inner demons and outer turmoil. Both felt helpless in certain situations but somehow decided not to give up. It was heartwarming to see them falling in love and finding that person who needs u,believes u and loves u. Both male characters had their own flaws but together they created good chemistry. I liked them both as equals. Great going Ms West. I received an arc from the author in return of an unbiased review.
Have to say this was the first MM romance I've ever read and I was a bit unsure about it but I was hooked! (though I must admit that I kind of skipped over the 'action' scenes because they were a bit outside my comfort zone🤷🏻♀️ but there was SO much more to the book). The story was intense and heartbreaking, and the characters were amazing, all of them. The love story was brilliant and the goings on of the other characters were too. I really felt as if I was there with them and laughed and even cried with them too!! Another one well worth reading - even if it isn't your usual kind of book.... trust me, it's brilliant!"
Oh boy was this a rollercoaster. The lows were heartbreaking and the highs were glorious. The author has a knack for writing hauntingly beautiful stories full of humanity and fragility and this story was no exception.
This book was stuffed full of emotions and as always I was caught and pulled in from the beginning with their story.
If you haven’t ventured into the world of Wisper yet, get on it now!! You won’t regret it. (Just make sure you stock up on tissues, because you WILL sob like a baby)
It's great to be back in Wisper! This time getting swept away in the lives of Theo and Brady! A big shot CEO and his lawyer fall for each other, however there's a lot going on in their lives that each has got to work through so they decide to wait a year to work on themselves, but can they fight the love storm that's brewing inside them?
This MM romance was brilliantly written, and handled sensitively. There is plenty of spice, so just warning ya! And I loved seeing familiar faces as well as being introduced to some new ones! Frank and Sam's book is up next. Bring it on!
