One unforgettable night with the perfect Daddy leaves Diego aching for more. The only problem: they can't stand each other outside the bedroom.
Max Johnson never wanted to leave his SEAL team. Yet after being medically discharged for blowing out his knee in training, he's forced to work on base as a firearms instructor. He misses the thrills of his days as a SEAL and when his former teammate, Diego, returns...sparks fly.
Diego longs to feel Max's strong hands on him, controlling his every move. He's been a bad boy that needs to be punished. With Max living life as a civilian, the two are free to indulge their deepest desires. But are either of them ready to let their guard down and explore where their passions will take them?

Holly writes in many genres. Currently, she's obsessed with Reverse Harem and M/M.
It was alright, if not a little underwhelming. At first the push and pull between Max and Diego was exciting but somewhere along the way the tension fizzled out. They were still hot together but something changed. Or maybe I just got frustrated with how much things were dragging on — it felt like this could have been at least 30 pages shorter.
I’ll be honest and say that daddy kink is not my fave though I'm not exactly opposed. I've also not read the other entries in this series (who gives book 3 as a freebie anyway?) so maybe that's why I couldn't quite connect with the characters.
Self inventory is hard in the best of times. Diego, is in the closet for his deeply Religious family. He lives his life based on their beliefs and opinion. His relationships suffer from his inability to be his own man. He did not handle a relatinship well with a SEAL team member that caused intense friction on the team. Max and Diego, entertained their team with their outright animosity even though they were loyal team members. He further antangoinized a team member, Max who was dispatched to try an intervention. Years later, Diego and Max meet in a BDSM club where Diego is looking for a Dom Daddy and Max is looking for a sub. Max was medically discharged and Diego is still active duty. They embark on a complicated relationship based on their history, their kink needs and a sense of redemption. Their getting reacquainted is intense. The author, did an excellent job delving into the emotional psychology of the D/s kinks. The rest of the team look like a great group of people. Nice addition to the series. Great story, nicely done! This is the 3rd book in the SEAL Daddy series and the first one that I have read. I was able to enjoy it without having first read the previous books. This is the story of Max Johnson and Diego De Leon. Both men were team mates on the seal team before it imploded. All caused by the actions of Diego. HIs fear and panic had caused the team to stop functioning properly and he left for another team. He also burned the bridge he stood on by taking his anger out of Max before he left. The two meet up again at a BDSM club when Diego is posted back to Coronado. The sparks just fly between the two of them. They both have a lot of baggage to unpack and Diego has to make so hard choices. This is their story. I really enjoyed this book. The characters are life like. The book is very well written and easy to read. I read it from cover to cover in one sitting. I look forward to more books by this author.

Strong Hands is an intense story with two men that have such a hot and steamy chemistry in the bedroom and clashing heated personalities out.
Diego has kept a secret from his family, so when his relationship with start getting serious Diego has runs. Max was forced to retire from the SEALs, but still has a job on base. When Diego returns from the East Coast, he wants, and desire lead him to Max.
Good story that dives a bit of Diego's fears and need to hide his true self from his family, but show the strength and support from Max that allows Diego to open up.

Holly Holston is a new author to me and I am interested in reading more. I enjoyed this book as Max and Diego loved to bunt heads. "We fight hard but love harder". Max and Diego are exactly who each other needed even though they didn't know it when they meet for the first time in years. I can't wait to read more of this series and more from Holly.

Max and Diego share a military background, but now that they are no longer on active service, they feel an undeniable attraction. Unfortunately, their communication skills leave a lot to be desired initially and their clashes, while hot don't make emotional closeness any easier. Fortunately, they don't/can't walk away and that leads to discovering how perfectly they fit together.
I have really enjoyed all the books in this series, but this might be my favorite. I loved their chemistry and how much they really fight what is between them. While this is a standalone, I really suggest you read the whole series on order, both of these men are mentioned in other books.
