Walking home from Meryton, Elizabeth Bennet gets caught in a sudden snowstorm. A tall, handsome figure on horseback approaches. To her dismay, it’s the disagreeable Mr. Darcy, travelling from London to Netherfield.
The two shelter in her father’s hunting lodge until the storm passes. She’s shocked to learn the reason for Darcy’s journey. Stranded with him in a cabin overnight, can she protect her reputation? Or will she be forced to marry a man she despises?
Keep your vinaigrette handy for this steamy Pride and Prejudice sensual intimate variation! This novella has a happy ending and no cliffhanger.
After two months in London, Mr. Darcy returns to Netherfield on the pretext of helping Mr. Bingley, but really wants to see Elizabeth Bennet again. He finds her and because of a snowstorm the two have to spend a night alone in a hunting cabin. Elizabeth has conflicting feelings of what she believes to be hatred and attraction towards Mr, Darcy, who she thinks is responsible for Jane's separation from Mr. Bingley. He still had a proud and arrogant demeanor during his stay in Hertfordshire, in addition to the bad impression caused by the insult he had given on their first meeting and the lies told by Mr. Wickham. He declares his love for her and gradually clears up the misunderstandings, apologizes for his behavior and starts a campaign for her to accept his marriage proposal. In a few hours they give in to temptation, showing some restraint, in the words of Mr. Darcy. The couple's moments of passion that took place in the cabin could have occurred at a later time, since Elizabeth, who enters the room hating Mr. Darcy and he deviates a little from his usual gentlemanly demeanor. As a positive point, it is clear, from the beginning, the strong physical attraction between the characters. They end up falling into a quarrel over differences of opinion on what the future relationship between them should be, but the strong feelings they nurture will unite them again. A steamy story, with little angst and an easy and quick read.

This storyline has been covered so many times that you should not expect any surprises. The plot is exactly what you think it will be: Elizabeth goes for a walk, gets surprised by bad weather, and by Mr Darcy. Our dear couple takes shelter from the elements in a conveniently placed cottage. They are able to talk and touch each other, and this leads them to a better understanding. Neither of them wants a forced marriage due to a compromise but luckily the resulting union is mutually pleasurable for them both. There is some sexual content including premarital shenanigans but I wouldn't have described it as a steamy book.
Despite the profound lack of surprises, this was a pleasant short low-angst read. Recommended for readers who want something light they can finish in one sitting. I received a free copy of this book and this is a voluntary review.
Darcy comes to Meryton to find out about Miss Bennet’s true feelings toward his friend Bingley. There is a sudden snow storm he comes across Elizabeth Bennet and they take shelter in a cabin. Elizabeth and Darcy talk, as in actual conversation that clears up almost all their misunderstandings. They need to spend the night together and things lead to things. I will not ruin it for you. What I enjoyed about the story was it brought together Darcy and Elizabeth so they could talk without all the distractions of the other characters especially Miss Bingley. They found their true feelings for each other and began to think like a couple with a future. This is a shorter story not a novel and that was disappointing to me.

A short and steamy novella. Darcy returns to Netherfield on an errand for Bingley. On the way he comes across Elizabeth Bennet and they are both waylayed by snow and ice.
A day and a night spent in Mr Bennet’s hunting cabin gives Darcy the opportunity to improve Elizabeth’s opinion of him.
So effective is he, that Elizabeth welcomes both his suit and his ardour.
But will their tryst be discovered? Will Mr Bennet agree to the match?
Given the length of the story, one has to forgive the lightning speed change in Elizabeth’s sentiments.
The story is tender and passionate with a piquant hint of angst.
Very enjoyable.

This story was okay, but had some flaws that were difficult to look past. I love a good Darcy and Elizabeth “stranded” story, so this appealed to me. Unfortunately, didn’t deliver the sweet, romantic story I expected.
Just as the title implies, there Darcy and Elizabeth find themselves stranded in her father’s hunting cabin overnight when a surprise snow/sleet storm hits. They quickly work out all their misunderstandings and Darcy declares his intentions within no time. I appreciated that they communicated and set the record straight on things, but that is a long way off from ardent love. Their was no development of their relationship, they went from dislike to irrevocable love in a couple of hours. I understand that being in that situation alone would create pretty strong physical temptations, but in reality, D&E’s behavior was not any better than Wickhams, especially given they really didn’t know each other at all, and while they may have made sure to eliminate the possibility of a child, E’s virtue was definitely not in tact when she left that cabin. I don’t mind some steamy romantic scenes, but that didn’t seem very romantic to me. That aside, the part that irritated me is this book would have me believe that lust and love are the same thing. They are not. When they return to “real life” the next day, they both become so dramatic and unhealthily obsessive. Darcy just knows they must marry right away, within days, because he can’t physically restrain himself because he’s so deeply “in love” -AFTER ONE DAY. They were honestly more like hormonal teenagers, not just physically, but emotionally. Then Darcy gets mad and stomps off like a spoiled brat because Lizzy won’t marry him immediately. Idk, it just didn’t work for me and certainly lacked what I would constitute as real romance, one that is based more on tenderness, respect, honor and caring more for the the other’s feelings than your own.
This was a short story which made it easier to get through. There were some nice moments, but I wouldn’t read it again.

Was her heart already set on this man …
I wonder if it is same for most readers of P&P variations, while I enjoy any level of sensuality in my historical reads, I can not imagine P&P as a very steamy read. Going from a mere touch of fingers to a wild romp between the sheet is mayhap too big a step in my mind. Yet I have read a few variations that have made the transition seamlessly and awesomely. Why I was wondering on which side of the scales this read would tip. As a novella, the story is fast faced, and more than the steamy side of the tale, it is was the instant change of heart of Elizabeth that unsettled me. Yet when I rethink the original story, Lizzie’s change of heart intervened upon her reading of Darcy’s letter, well not immediately but it was the beginning. So quite fast, if not for the distance put between them, they might have resolved their differences earlier.
Whatever, this put aside, it is a quick read with famous characters acting out of their usual pristine garb giving in their most baser needs. 3 stars

I have been granted an advance copy by the author, here is my true and unbiased opinion.
I received a copy of this from BookSprout and this is my freely given opinion.
This is a short, steamy novella about Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet, and what happens when they run into each other out when they are on the road outside of Meryton, and caught in a snowstorm.
This is when Elizabeth still has ill will toward Darcy, thinking he has interfered in the relationship between her sister and Bingley, and has maliciously destroyed Wickham's prospects, so she does not hold him in any great esteem. Darcy has realized that he loves Elizabeth and had planned on going to see her and ask for permission to court her. But because of circumstances, they are both forced to seek shelter in a small hunting cottage, as proceeding in the storm would put both of them at greater risk.
As the storm progresses, they have the opportunity to speak and clear the air, but as it rages on, they realize that they would be forced to spend the night together. Darcy is a gentleman, but it is hard to deny their attraction and desire to explore it. But he does not want Elizabeth to feel trapped or forced into an alliance with her; he wants her to love and choose him of her own accord.
This is a a P&P variation that I quite enjoyed as it seems to stay quite true to the story and style of the original, but added the elements of steamy attraction and romantic tension of the situation. It was a short novella, but very quick and enjoyable read.
This novella is a variation on Pride and Prejudice, using the "enemies to lovers" trope. Elizabeth is angry at Darcy and dislikes him partially based on misconceptions, while Darcy is attracted to and admires Elizabeth, but he is an aloof man who has trouble expressing his feelings. When they both get snowed in together, they are able to break down the barriers between them. There is a slight miscommunication at the end but everything resolves quickly. This is an easy read, perfect if you just have an hour or so for a Regency romance.
Note: this is not a "sweet and clean" book, as is made clear in the title. Steam level is 2ish for premarital relations and a post-marital love scene.
I read an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary review. Opinions are my own.
While this is a steamy story, there is no consummation before marriage. As indicated by the title, Darcy and Elizabeth are stranded in Mr. B's hunting lodge during a sudden storm (snow - sleet -- rain). While stranded, Darcy and Elizabeth discuss Bingley/Jane as well as their misunderstandings - all while fighting their growing attraction. This is a novella, so the story is wrapped up quickly with a steamy HEA for Darcy and Elizabeth.

As a lover of Pride and Prejudice i was a little wary of this short variation of the story. However the writing is stylish, the story is entertaining and it is steamy without being too explicit I would have liked a bit longer as the relationship changes a little abruptly but other than that excellent. Elizabeth and Darcy get trapped by a blizzard and settle their differences and misunderstandings. Andrea David does an excellent job with the characters and the storyline is good.

Compromising situation but this was not a FMS. I enjoyed reading Darcy's devotion/love for Elizabeth. (Spoiler: esp the part about ... madness of Ms. Bingley). Lizzy was not quite I expected her to be, She seemed easily persuaded to believe Mr. Darcy words/accounts. Nevertheless, it was realistic and an enjoyable read. There are intimate moments but glad the culmination is emphasized after it is official. (Just old fashion me)
A great quick, sweet read for mature P & P fans.

SPOILER ALERT! When caught together in a small cabin during a snow storm, ODC is forced to review their prejudices, and end up in the only bed available. Things progress to the point of impropriety but Lizzy's virtue remains intact (though bodily fluids were left behind. Darcy wants to marry right away, but Lizzy wants to wait until she can't anymore. A little short, but an enjoyable sexy story.

Darcy and Elizabeth caught in a snowstorm made for very personal and detailed conversations about several things in both of their lives. I liked seeing the passionate side of both characters blended with their playful banter leading to the satisfying way things were resolved. Loved it!

An easy to read short story. Lizzy and Darcy have very strong personalities and their character and essence are not always captured. This reading is good and entertaining, but it fails to transport me to that moment.

Intriguingly written, very interesting, and sensual scenes that could be real with in this story. I loved how honorable Darcy was, but a little put off with Elizabeth's reactions. Cute and well written, definitely mature readers
Nice, quick read. This is a sweet story where Darcy and Elizabeth get trapped in a snowstorm and have to take shelter for the night in Mr. Bennet's hunting cabin.
They have a chance to clear the air about Jane & Bingley, and he tells her about Wickham. They get intimate but do not make love, though it is a close thing. Elizabeth can hardly wait for more, but is concerned about her neighbors and what they would think of her change of heart about Darcy if they got married too quickly.
I didn't like the way Elizabeth didn't seem to trust Darcy's constancy. It was just a bit too wimpy for her to be so insecure whenever she is out of his company. But overall it was a nice story.
