One second, he had everything.
The next, it was torn away.

Oliver James was at the peak of his career, captain of the Baltimore Breakers, minutes away from winning another Cup. Then one hit had derailed all that.

All he’d ever known was hockey, and he didn’t know where he fit in a world where playing was no longer a possibility. But then he was offered a chance to bring hockey back into his life. A shot at starting over.

The only condition of that second chance was required meetings with the team psychologist, Hazel.

She was exactly the kind of woman he might have once lusted after—beautiful, kind, a body that screamed sex. She made him feel whole, like a man again.

Except, she wasn’t interested in him outside of being a patient.

Well then, Oliver would just have to convince her otherwise.

5 Star review of Boldly (Breakers Hockey #2) by Elise Faber
Book two in the latest series from Elise Faber and I could not wait to dive in to Oliver James and Hazel Reid’s story. I was so absorbed in the story that Ms. Faber wove that I read Boldly in almost one go, only putting it down when real life got in my way.
Oliver is recovering from an injury that forced him to re-evaluate his life and goals after a cheap shot destroyed his hockey career and almost his life. After a massive infection meant that Oliver lost part of his leg below the knee, he knew he would never play in the NHL again.
When the management of the Baltimore Breakers propose he head up the Player Development Department he appreciates that he will once again be able to be involved in the sport that has always been his life. However it comes with strings, he has to talk with the team’s psychologist, Hazel and Oliver knows that she holds his future in her hands.

This was an emotional roller coaster of a book about having to look deep into ones soul, of overcoming life changing events and coming to terms with what life deals you. There were moments where I was moved to tears, moments where I laughed out loud and moments where I swooned.
I am so glad that Oliver and Hazel were able to move forge a wonderful future together.

BOLDLY is the second book in the Breakers Hockey series and hold onto your hats, folks, because you're in for one helluva ride!

Oliver was the Captain of the Breakers. Yes, he'd made mistakes along the way, but he had the respect of his teammates and the management team. But then one foul tackle and he's out. A shattered leg and an infection that won't go leaves him with a prosthetic and his dreams on ice are gone.

A year later and he's back, although not as he would wish to be. He finds himself attracted to Hazel and immediately works on making her his own. Of course, Hazel isn't prepared to just sit there and take it. Trust me, she makes her own stands too. Together, these two are sappy, hot, and crazy for each other.

I read this book in one sitting - simply unable to put it down. I really respected and admired Oliver's way of thinking, which helped him move forward after such a devastating thing happened to him. He hadn't had it easy but, with his mindset, he was able to make the best of a bad situation. Hazel is simply stunning. I loved her go-get-em attitude and how she thinks outside the box if she thinks it will help her boys. Both of these know how to communicate and the book is so much better for not having oodles of misunderstandings and hurt feelings caused by not speaking to each other!!!

This story made me smile and laugh out loud. I adored the scene with Luc, Lexi, and Noah! Those babies sure know how to run a parent ragged!

Oh, and fair warning - if you're like me, you just might need a Kleenex to help you through the last part of the book. I will admit to tears streaming down my face during the epilogue, and I'm not ashamed!

Absolutely fantastic, and highly recommended by me.

Universal

Oliver's being offered something that has the potential to make his life better. When he hears one of the conditions of this new opportunity is sessions with a psychologist, he's not thrilled, until he finds out just who that psychologist is, then he's all in. After all, the psychologist is Hazel, the only woman he's been interested in in a long time. Now he'll just have to use those sessions to convince her that not only is he really OK after having rehabbed his lost leg and subsequent prosthetic limb to the point that he walks with barely a hitch, his emotional and mental health are just as good as his physical, but, and this is the important part, he will convince her that they should be much more than just psychologist and patient.

Hazel's been attracted to the quietly confident Oliver for awhile now, but never had done anything about it because. Because reasons. The first being that she used to be engaged. She's not engaged any longer, but that's neither here nor there. The second being that she's the team psychologist. Oliver may not be a player any longer, but he is being offered the head of player development position and that still means a relationship between the two of them is forbidden. Will they step over that line?

Boldly is, dare I say it, inspirational. Oliver and Hazel are such wonderful characters with strength of mind, and heart, and they were perfect for each other. Oliver had such a heartbreaking backstory, but he persevered, never giving up his integrity, never allowing his loss to overwhelm him or turn him bitter. Hazel was equally strong, with a loving heart. Their chemistry is smoking hot, but really the best part of their story is their emotional connection and the strength of their individual characters and how they both fought through loss and adversity, and found happiness and healing with each other.

Boldly #2 in Breakers Hockey by Elise Faber is great addition to the series. Oliver James and Hazel Reid's story will captivate you and draw you in. Oliver is recovering from a career ending hockey injury so he's trying to figure out what his next career move is/where he goes next. He ends up getting offered a role in Player Development Department within the Baltimore Breakers but before he can fully take over that role, he has to attend some counseling sessions with the team's psychologist-- Hazel Reid. He doesn’t mind meeting with her, in fact he found himself attracted to her the first time they'd be introduced but she wasn’t available/single. Hazel herself is going through something of a personal trauma (broken engagement and breakup with her ex) so now she has Oliver to help/counsel. Her methods aren't typical and he isn't that happy about it. Yet the sparks fly between them. The story really is two broken souls melded back together as one. Loved the characters, the chemistry, heat, feels and HEA. Look forward to book 3.

Without fear!

After a bad tackle on the ice had cost Oliver James his leg, he wasn't sure anything could replace hockey for him. Being offered a job led him to Hazel Reid, the team therapist who he'd liked but done nothing about as she was engaged. After he joined the breakers as a coach, he discovered that Hazel was now single. Spending time in mandatory therapy, led him closer to her and a chance to date her. Can Hazel see the man in front of her and not be tainted by her ex-fiance? Will Oliver see himself as more than just a man with one leg? This was a brilliant read that didn't shy away from hard subjects but also gave insane chemistry between the two main people!

Boldly is a life lesson waiting to be learned, in need of being taught. Oliver and Hazel are a study in moving on, even at the risk of breaking your own heart. Faber speaks to the vulnerable pieces of who we are and exposes the courage of what would could be. Honesty laced with humor backed up by heart.

When I sat down to read this book it took about 20min to prepare for it. I knew everything that was coming was going to leave me a sobbing mess and color me surprised when that didn't happen.
Don't get me wrong I shed a tear of two but overall this was such a beautiful written story about two people who were meant to be.

Oliver was such a great man inside and out. He really is a total package. Funny, smart, driven and mentally so strong that he didn't let one moment in his life define his future.
I love Hazel. She was such a tender and beautiful soul. She and Oliver were perfect together. If I could pick my favorite moment it would be when she decked her ex when he called Oliver names.

I know were in only book 2 but boy is this series starting to become one of my favorites. And I’m so ready to read Marcel and Pru’s story because with that epilog at the end, we’re sure it will be a great read.

As a disabled person I'm always on the lookout for romances that depict the reality of our lives, the ups and downs of how we (and others) see ourselves when it comes to sexuality. After reading numerous books by Ms. Faber she's become a favorite courtesy of her realistic characters and their unconventional romances. From the older woman/younger man theme to the disabled patient/doctor storyline found here, Ms. Faber tells stories readers want to hear!

She pulled no punches in bringing Oliver James to the pages, realistically showing his less than perfect body and the emotional impact that has on his psyche as he finds himself attracted to the one woman he can't have. Oliver's an immensely appealing hero, a good man inside and out who once thought that hockey defined him. After losing his career, and his leg, he needs to redefine who he thinks he is and it made for a journey full of tears and heartache. From a childhood of pain to his new reality of being disabled, Oliver's journey pushed every one of my emotional buttons before reaching his empowered HEA. Through every emotional speed bump he triumphed, making sweet and sexy a delicious combination when it comes to his personality. Hazel Reid had her own issues to deal with courtesy of a nasty ex who has left her self-esteem battered and bruised. Though she met Oliver previously, their current situation has them interacting in much more personal ways as the attraction between them can no longer be ignored. Hazel's ex left her with many doubts about herself, doubts Oliver understands all too well in a connection fueled by their unwavering support of one another. Through sweet and sexy interactions the romance between these two builds slowly but steadily, charming me every step of the way in a tale of starting over.

Oliver and Hazel are utterly perfect together as they build each other up after all the pain their pasts brought them. Their romance was empowering and made me smile courtesy of sweet and playful dialogue while steaming up the pages with the reality of disability and sensuality being sensitively depicted. Alongside this delightful main couple came a cast of equally likable secondary characters, teammates and family, who have me excited for more. With its delightful epilogue full of heart and humor, and glimpses of the wonderfully entertaining Marcel, I can't wait for the next installment in the Breakers Hockey series to hit bookshelves!

Boldly is the second book in the Breakers Hockey series by Elise Faber. I have just recently discovered this author, but I have come to really enjoy her books. The characters touch your heart, are realistic, and have everyday difficulties. Her stories take you through a rollercoaster of emotions and leave you smiling at the end.
We were introduced to the Breakers Team Captain, Oliver, in the previous book and got to learn a little bit about him then. This is Oliver’s book, and it starts with the tragic attack against him from a previous player on the team during the championship game. Not only did he lose his hockey career, but he lost part of his leg. He is offered a job to head the Player Development department for the team with the condition he takes mandatory sessions with Hazel, the team’s psychologist. He had felt an instant attraction to Hazel when he met her the previous year, but she was engaged to be married. Now she is no longer engaged, so he sees his chance to ask her out. Hazel Reid has been let down by men too many times in the past, so she is not looking for a relationship. But Oliver patiently wins her over and breaks through all her barriers.
I have loved getting to know the Breakers team. They are like a huge family and so supportive and eager to help their teammate, Oliver. They might be fierce on the ice, but their hearts are made of gold. I liked Oliver in the first book and was so sad when he lost everything. He was such a great guy and so patient and caring with Hazel. It was nice to see his life come together and for him to get his HEA.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oliver and Hazel you have to love them as a couple there highs and lows there struggle to get past there own devastating past they grow stronger together even when life and circumstances tried to bring them down.

Oliver had the highest most career defining moment in his life as the Captain of the Breakers Hockey team only to have someone with bitterness take it all away. How do you start over when Hockey was your everything the one thing that saw you threw a troubling childhood can Oliver find his second chance well after all the physical therapy he has one and it still gives him a chance to be near the one thing he loves Hockey only catch he has to get the all clear from the team phsycologist Hazel the one women he just looks at and suddenly he feels like he's whole again only problem she doesn't see it that way.

Hazel has a broken hart her HEA ended her engagement over and the only temptation she never pursued Oliver is now in her path she was attracted to him but she was engaged now she's not but her broken engagement has left scars Oliver may want more but she's afraid to pursue it there are rules that can't be broken she's his therapist and the team doesn't allow relationships can Oliver gain her trust and what about the team rules is his second chance Hazel or the team or both. Loved this book and how the author helps her character's grow and move threw some major challenges in there lives on the ice and in there personal lives as well. There is plenty of steam and chemistry between Oliver and Hazel.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I loved every second of this book and didn't want to put it down. Oliver was probably the sweetest, most genuine character and what happened to him to cause him to lose his career was horrific. I appreciated how strong he was and how once Hazel came into his life he started changing (not because of anyone else, but on his own) organically. Little by little you get to see his walls come down and it is spectacular.

Hazel is the team psychologist and is tasked with helping Oliver come to terms with his new normal. She quickly realizes she can't help him, nut only because she isn't qualified, but because of her attraction to him. While they seem to move fast in some ways, in others it seems at just right. I loved their 'disagreement' on how many dates they have been on.

He makes her stronger and realize that she wasn't at fault for what her ex did (I loved how that part ended) and she makes him feel whole (his childhood was everything no child should have to live through). They truly compliment each other perfectly and take care of each other as everyone should be taken care of. The interactions they had where they got to know each other better and started to show their vulnerabilities were so realistic. The final chapter when he finally gets his moment is spectacular, I just wish he could have had a chance to face the person who irrevocably changed his life. I can't wait to see what happens next in this series.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Boldly is the second book in the Breakers Hockey series, but could be read as a stand alone. Oliver received an injury that lost him not just his hockey playing career, but also his leg. When the chance to work for his team comes, he takes it, especially as that means he gets the chance to work closely with Hazel. But can they both heal from past hurts, and will Oliver open up his heart fully to Hazel?

You know that feeling of sitting in a comfy chair, with a delicious beverage and a cozy blanket, and you just feel like you’re home? That was this alpha exactly how this book made me feel. Hazel and Oliver were everything. There’s some pretty big feels in these pages, but honestly, I just loved every second I spent reading this book, with this couple, and I seriously want to be their best friends in real life. Hazel is fun, caring, and really good at her job. I liked that she knew her limitations, though, too. Oliver had a great view on his injury, and yes, he was mad, he also knew that the injury didn’t define him. I loved watching him open his heart up for Hazel, watching her slowly heal him from his past and accepting his injury better, and his fall into love was perfection. For both of them, there is so much giving, but both need to take from time to time and needed to accept that it was okay to need. I loved their passion, their chemistry, and ultimately their connection. I loved this book! I loved this couple! And I have to admit that this might be one of my favorite books I’ve read this year!

Loved this Book! First of all let me say I am a fan of Elise Faber’s storytelling and writing style. I have read all of her hockey series and can’t wait for more. I found Boldly to be a bit of a different story. Though it does happen in her world of Gold and Breaker Hockey Teams, it's more of a focus on individual journeys that the two main characters undertake. Oliver is learning how to live his life after experiencing heartbreaking tragedy after reaching his ultimate goal. Hazel is getting over a different kind of personal heartbreak in her own right. . Hazel and Oliver both had their own insecurities that they had to work through to be able to be open to happiness together. They are pushed together initially in a professional level, but their personal undercurrents are just too strong to resist. For me it was the little things in this story that just got to me. I loved how they were both attracted to each other but also were both a little awestruck in their personal interactions due to the attraction. It was just so cute! And the end….. So many Happy Tears! Hockey Fan, Romance Fan or just a fan of great storytelling you will love this book and if you have not read any of the author's previous books,,,,DO IT! You will not regret being pulled into her world. Happy Reading!

The second installment of the Breakers hockey is just as gripping of a read as the first! Boldly is Oliver and Hazel’s story. Oliver was a player in Broken, but—like Luc from book 1—experiences a career ending and life-changing injury shortly after the events of book one.
Of course, with the Breakers family being so close-knit, Luc is more than willing to transition Oliver to another aspect of the team, provided that he work with Hazel, the team psychologist. And while Oliver meets with Hazel as mandated, the therapy sessions don’t work out as Luc likely intended because the attraction and chemistry between the two is palpable and undeniable in a way that inevitably distracts them from their purpose. A series of adorable non-dates lead to some very real, very romantic, dates.
It is ridiculously hard to put Boldly down for any reason, so make sure when you start reading that you’re prepared to be absorbed into the story for the foreseeable future, if not a reading session that takes you from cover to cover before you re-emerge! Highly recommend for fans of Elise—especially Gold Hockey series fans, since some of the characters overlap a bit—newbies who love their reads to be equally parts heat-wrenching and heartwarming, and sports romance fans who love Helena Hunting’s Pucked, Natasha Madison’s Something So/This Is serieses, or Cambria Hebert’s #Hashtag series.

Omg my heart absolutely broke for Oliver! After reading a quick epilogue in the first book, Broken, I knew this book was gonna be a tough one. I just didn’t think it would start out like it did. What a heartbreaking outcome to deal with. But Oliver is strong and he made the best and, with the help of an amazing woman, he found his best!

Hazel is that amazing woman. Sports psychologist, and all out caring person, Hazel had her own bad turn of events with a stupid ex. Now with Oliver back at work, albeit in a different position, these two are finding the connection they both crave and deserve. I loved reading about these two and watching their love blossom. They were perfect for each other. And Oliver's date, non date, labeling was hilarious. The man knew what he wanted and wasn't afraid to go after it.

This book was low on drama aside from a bit of stupid near the end (stupid on the other character's part) which made me happy. There's was already enough to overcome with Oliver. I'm so happy for these two. Now on to Marcel. I always enjoy how this author gives us a little glimpse into what is to come. It makes me excited for more.

*I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book for my honest and unbiased review.*

What a wonderful love story! So much to enjoy about this one; especially the engaging, intelligent, and considerate main characters! Oliver especially is such a breath of fresh air!

Oliver sustains a hockey career ending injury and must essentially start his professional life over. The circumstances around his injury coupled with his can-do attitude makes him a winner to me, from the get-go!

While he is offered a position within the hockey organization, he is also asked to attend some counseling sessions with the team’s psychologist, Hazel, just to help him with his transition from hockey player to head of the Player Development department.

But when he meets with Hazel, and realizes she is now single after watching her from afar for awhile, his motivation for meeting with her changes. And to be fair, so does hers.

Without giving the story away, this is a definite MUST read! In addition to the main characters, the supporting characters (team members, family) really add to the dimension of the story. Can’t wait for the next player to get his story!

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, however, this is my honest opinion.

4.5 Stars!

POV: Dual (3rd Person)
Tropes: Wounded hero, Sports romance
Triggers: Sports injury, Disability from amputation, Mental health issues

Likes: I'm a sucker for a wounded hero and a sports romance, so this is the perfect combination! They're such a sweet couple, but who aren't afraid to talk dirty! Also no OW drama, which a huge bonus!

Dislikes: Slightly too insta-love for me, but was still a really sweet romance. Plus I prefer 1st person POVs, but that's just my opinion.

Synopsis: Boldly follows former NHL player Oliver who's adjusting to life with one leg after a vengeful attack on the ice, and Hazel, the team’s therapist who’s been tasked with helping him once again fully engage in the sport he once loved…even if he can no longer play. He’s had a crush on her since the moment they met, however she was engaged at the time. Now she’s single he knows he can’t stand aside and let her slip away again. But will he embrace his new body enough to allow her to get close? Or will his mental struggle be too much of a hurdle to overcome? Such a sweet and surprisingly sexy read (those two have some dirty minds!).

Breakers Hockey #2
Oliver James, Captain of the Baltimore Breakers was in double overtime game 7 Stanley Cup finals when the worst happened and everything went black after the hit he took. He scored the winning goal but it was the end of his career. All he knows is hockey.
Now where does he fit in? The GM of the Breakers wants him to head the Player Development department, but Oliver isn’t sure why. And one stipulation is he has to have mandatory sessions with the team psychologist, Hazel. She’s not your typical psychologist and Oliver isn’t happy about it. Of course before, he would have pursued her but she’s only interested in him as a patient.
Oliver is a sweetheart and a force to be reckoned with and goes after what he wants-Hazel. The chemistry between the two is there and they really do help each other through things that happen.
And the sweet little girl that helps Oliver, brings the tears.

A really good read.

Oliver and Hazel

They have to be one of my favorite couples.

Oliver suffers a horrific injury which causes him to lose his leg. While he is trying to figure his life out post hockey, the Breakers owner offers him a position as head of player development. One condition, he has to meet with the team psychologist, Hazel. How is he gonna do that when he has been crusing on her from the day he met her? Too bad she has a big ole diamond on her hand.

Hazel doesn't know how she is going to handle working with Oliver. He is absolutely gorgeous and makes her feel things she shouldn't. When her ex-fiance's true colors came through and he ended their relationship she kept thinking she did something wrong. Until Oliver. He shows her the many ways love is supposed to be.

Can two broken people make each other whole again?

Loved these two, more fun banter and we meet more players .. I can't wait for Marcel's story.

This is the 2nd book in this awesome hockey series, and this is Oliver and Hazel’s story. Oliver’s whole life was playing hockey, and at the peak of his career he suffers a career ending injury, which leaves him lost on how to move forward with his life. When a 2nd chance lands on his doorstep, he jumps at the chance as becoming head of the development department, but the position has it has clauses, and that is he must have counselling sessions with the teams’ psychologist Hazel. There is an intense connection between Oliver and Hazel, but where she wants to keep things strictly profession, he is determined to get her to change her mind. Both characters have baggage, but will they be able to move on with their lives? This is beautifully written flawless story, which is emotionally charged, and is a poignant love story. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I'm a great fan of Ms. Faber's stories and writing styles. How she draws you in so that you become invested in the characters and series as a whole and how they all feel like family. Oliver suffered a career ending injury that put everything he had worked so hard for into turmoil. His manager Luc, who understood all about losing it all, steps in and offers him a job on the training/management side, on the condition he meets with the team psychologist. Problem is, Oliver has lusted after Hazel Reid for a long time and the thought of going to her, to spill his innermost thoughts, fears and insecurities almost makes him want to turn the offer down. But the thought of Hazel's beautiful eyes, and other parts of him, make him go. When he finds out that Hazel harbors some of the same feelings, it's time to shift things up a gear. This is a story of resilience, trust and belief in yourself, not to mention smoking hot chemistry!

It should have been the happiest night of his life when Oliver scored the winning goal that won the Stanley Cup however a vindictive hit resulted in not only the loss of his hockey career but his leg as well. The team management was impressed were so impressed with his skills with his teammates when he is a Captain that they offer him a position to work with the players on the condition that he attends counseling sessions with Hazel.

Hazel is a sports psychologist who has recently ended her engagement to a man who didn’t deserve her. There is no denying the chemistry and connection as they support each other through all the challenges that life throws at them that only strengthens them and their love for each other.

Oliver and Hazel were perfect for each other as they always put the other first which made their relationship so special. They are also surrounded by a great group of friends and family that leaves you wanting more stories centered around the Breakers.

When you first read this blurb, you think this is going to be a book about healing. And it is to a point, but this is more a book about other people coming to terms with the reality that Oliver finds himself in. He has accepted the turns his life has taken. He hasn't completely resigned himself to certain fates, but he isn't looking back with the what ifs, the should haves, or anything in that nature. He is held back by the ideas of those around him. Hazel is still healing from somewhat of a break-up but not in the sense that you would think. I love these two together. They heal each other in a sense but they don't truly need to be healed. They just need to continue moving forward. But they do it together in the best ways. There are moments that you want to cry but there are moments that make you happy. I adore Hazel's mother and all the funny nicknames she throws out. This is a great addition to Elise's hockey series and I can't wait for the rest of the team.

This book is nothing like any I’ve read by this author before. Oliver is raw and gritty; I absolutely love him. Hazel has so many relatable qualities that I fell for her too. Together their chemistry is off the charts. And the scene with him holding someone else’s baby is so ovary explodous that I needed to take a breather— and I have a 6 month old, lol.
I do have to say I wasn’t a fan of Hazel’s rambling both aloud and internally. It seemed as though she was having to be interrupted a lot to stop some of her tangents. It seemed Oliver had a few internal left-field ramblings too, but not as often.
I loved how Oliver and Hazel were open and honest, working through their issues instead of just giving up on their building relationship. Oliver has a strong mental health that I admire.

If you love hockey and romance than you do not want to miss Boldly! It is a fantastic addition to the Breakers Hockey series and is the perfect combination of wonderful characters and a storyline that will keep you engaged from the beginning until the end.
I just loved both Hazel and Oliver! He is strong man and not only physically. It is his strength of character that will truly win you over. He has overcome a career ending injury with dignity and determination and now life has him on another track, allowing him to realize that life is more than playing hockey. It has also placed him on the direct path towards Hazel. She is beautiful, smart, sweet and best of all, she sees him for the wonderful man he is. They have an immediate connection but with any relationship, it comes with challenges. However, in the end love wins and I am a sucker for a happily ever after.

Hockey, prosthetics, prosthesis, therapist, co-workers, ARC for honest review"

If you loved the Gold, you're going to enjoy the Breakers just as much. Yes, this is a book about a Hockey team, but what I really like about these series' is that they are so much more than just a sports romance. They are about life, relationships, trials and tribulations and everything in between. I have to say I'm pretty sure Oliver is right up there with my favorites. I mean come on, who doesn't love a strong man that shares that vulnerable side that he usually keeps locked in a box? And Hazel... my goodness, I love how she's strong and secure enough, after a bit of a rocky past, to put it all out there, and to push just enough but not too much. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of these two throughout the series and wondering how long it will be before her mom gets her hearts desire.

Boldly is such a fantastic read. I loved this one so much. The Breakers Hockey series will own you more after this one. Hazel is sweet and I love how she pushes her hockey players and helps them in so many different ways when it comes to how they handle things. You will just love Oliver. He is a force that knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. He may be part of the team a different way but you still feel the closeness with all the players. I love the chemistry between Hazel and Oliver. They both help each other in ways neither saw coming. This is a sweet, laugh out loud, steal my heart, fan yourself read. When it comes to Hazel and Oliver you better be ready for the this hot read coming your way. I cannot wait for more Breakers Hockey to come.

Sports Romance, Workplace, Healing, and Spice!!!!

This is not your typical sports romance as the main guy is actually an ex-hockey player. He ended the last season making the winning goal, but getting his leg crushed. He becomes an amputee. This is a bit about his recovery mentally and finding his new life. She works for the organization. She use to be engaged, but is no longer. This was an amazing story that really gets your heart, but also makes you smile.

This is not the first book in the series but that is totally fine it because it is a complete stand alone. But once you read this, you will want to read the first book and be excited for when the next book comes out in the series!

Not being an American or living somewhere that has much of a winter, I have no idea about ice hockey. That didn't stop me from enjoying this novel though. The strength of the story, and the reason why I loved it so much was the characters. Hazel is compassionate and thoughtful but so quirky and Oliver is loyal and protective and kind. Oliver has had to overcome a career ending injury and is trying to navigate his new life, which includes meeting with Hazel. These 2 hit it off immediately and their story is just so wonderful to read it had a smile on my face almost the entire time. Have to say though, that the ending brought me to tears with an overload of emotion. This couple has to be in my top 5 favourite couples and I could easily have kept reading about them.
