Professional hockey players weren’t supposed to get their hearts broken.

But that’s precisely what happened to Marcel Aubert, forward for the Breakers. He’d fallen hard for his ex, and then she’d cheated on him with a truly reprehensible teammate.

Because she’d been bored. Of him. Not life. She’d made that fact crystal clear.

So Marcel had moved on . . . if remaining single and losing himself in books when he wasn’t on the ice was moving on.

Until he met Prudence Hansley. She was, quite literally, the most imprudent person he’d ever had the privilege of knowing. A total daredevil, she’d jumped out of planes, had hiked into a volcano, spent time in a shark cage.

She was . . . terrifying.

And wonderful. And somehow, she liked him. Boring Marcel.

But when she dared him to take another chance on love, would he find the courage to leap?

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Trigger warnings: Assault, shooting, fertility issues, cheating, mention of amputation, murder.

Please: Try to read in order. Broken, Boldly come first. They are all standalones, but the characters from all books make cameos as well. So just a heads-up on that.

Honestly, Marcel and Pru (reminds me of Marcel Proust anyone - with the name combo..no one? alright fine) were a bit of a difficult couple for me in the beginning.

I mean they had a lot of miscommunication going, plus domineering personalities often tend to clash as well.

But when they started opening up to each other, with witty emotional dialogues, I was completely head over heels in love with them. Special notice to temple kisses, waffles and plenty of cuddling hehe. I mean sometimes you just gotta sit down and talk stuff out, alright? Sometimes s** ain't the only answer (side eye to the other books I've read).

Plus the romance was scorching but sweet too when stuff needed to be sorted out. And I appreciated the development in it, as they progressed from confused to so much in love. Especially when meeting the parents, it was so much fun honestly.

Plus other crazy shenanigans that they both handled so wonderfully, had I been there, would've done something even more insane than them. So kudos to them for making out of those well, than me haha.

And loved the side Cs, cause you know Elise's characters are always so damn loveable, making me crave their stories so damn hard. So yeah, I desperately need their stories if I want to live.

Overall, a wonderfully crazy but happy, sappy and delightful novel full of charm, romance, understanding and just Eliseness so much.

Loved it, and can't wait for Smitty's story with his mystery girl coming April 26th 2022.

Until the next read,

I read this as I liked the idea of the so-called 'boring' Hero getting his HEA.
The writing style was a bit odd.
Dual POV.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
They have a ONS that turns into a bit longer, then she leaves him a note, basically thanks, see ya.
Then 6 weeks later, I think it is, she returns from more adventures and he has another girl with him, obviously intending a ONS.
The heroine leaves.
He later admits her arrival stopped him and he drive the girl home.

There is ex drama which at first was good, who doesn't love a bitchy ex getting put in her place but then the book took a huge overly dramatic turn which seems a bit ridiculous.

The heroine also supposedly couldn't have kids but of course in the epilogue has a baby so they get their true HEA. (!)

HeA.
Epilogue.

This series is fast becoming be of my favourite hockey reads and Marcel Aubert and Prudence (Pru) Hansley’s journey is the perfect addition to the series, in fact I’m going to say this is my favourite couple so far.
Marcel plays forward for the Breakers and Pru is now working for the team after an injury ended her hockey career. Pru’s past has made her determined to live life to the fullest and she is on a mission to try all sorts of dare devil stunts and it’s on one of her stunts that she first comes across Marcel. This couple could not be more different, he lives by the rules and she flaunts the rules but there is a connection and he finds himself drawn to the stunning dare devil.
This story is about a couple who have avoided relationships for very different reasons bonding with a friendship but can Pru convince Marcel to take another chance on love…..
This us a beautifully written story, it has all the feels and I’m sure like me you will moved to tears one moment and laughing out loud the next. But let’s be honest this is what Elise Faber does best, she writes wonderful stories that play on our emotions, she gives us wonderful characters we bond with and she gives us stories we will never forget. I highly recommend Breathless and the series.

With every book in this series I get more and more attached to the characters. I felt bad in previous books when we learned what Marcel ex did to him. But it's always the quiet ones that make my blood run hot and boy oh boy was Marcel a nice surprise. Don't get me wrong he's still the sort of shy, quiet man but with Pru he's forced to push past his comfort zone in order to have her in his life.
As for Pru; she was running her whole life and when Marcel enters her world turns upside down and she can finally see and feel safe, loved and protected.
They make an amazing team and I couldn't be more happier for them when the story unfolds and we get to see that their happiness could be so much more than either of them thought possible.

Universal

Pru's got a tragic, sad past and it's caused her to live her life one day at a time, doing extreme things like jumping off bridges with only a parachute for safety. Yeah. She is the opposite of cautious Marcel, current player for Breakers hockey team. He's concerned for her because the argument he heard her get into right before he followed her to the bridge, was telling. Can he convince this gorgeous, bright as the sun woman to not take the leap into sure death? Then later can he convince her he only turned her flirting down for a good reason? Or are they doomed to flame out before they begin?

Marcel was badly burned by his ex. She didn't just cheat on him with teammates, she threw so much poisonus garbage at him that he believed that it took its toll on his psyche. He's so burned that he doesn't think he'll ever take chance on love again. Then Pru, a Scout and Development Coach for his hockey team, happens to him. She's bold and confident, brave and terrifying. She flirts like mad and it gets under his skin. But will he truly let her past his walls? She sure hopes so...

I absolutely LOVE Pru and Marcel!! She's so strong and fierce, made so by such a hard past, and she and her opposite in every way, Marcel, are perfect for each other. I love the way they come together, heal each other, LOVE each other. This Breakers Hockey world is one of Elise's best and I'm just waiting impatiently now for Smitty and Kailey's story, Ballsy, now.

Finally breathing in!

Prudence Hansley was a dare devil risk taker, always looking for the next adrenaline rush. Marcel Aubert liked spreadsheets and planning! What neither of them planned on was the chemistry between them and the feelings that grew. Can they escape the pain from their past and create a future that they both need? Will their differences pull them apart or drag them together? This was a great read by Elise, giving us a little bit of hockey with a lot of heart!

I continue to love, and fall further in love with, Elise Faber’s Breakers hockey series! With the Breakers—both players and those staffing the organization—being a big family, and one connected to the Gold Hockey family, it’s easy to get invested in and deeply attached to the cast of this series. And the family-style environment of the characters makes this series great not not for fans of Elise’s gold hockey series, but also for fans of Helena Hunting’s Pucked series and Natasha Madison’s interconnected hockey serieses.
Breathless is the third installment of Breakers hockey—which is something of a spin-off of the Gold Hockey series, so is interconnected in a larger world—featuring Marcel, a Breakers player and Pru, a former hockey player who now works in the Breakers organization. Pru also happens to be besties with Hazel, the heroine of the previous Breakers novel, Boldly, and the team therapist. She also happens to be adventurous to the point of recklessness, as the reader discovers in the very first chapter when Marcel stops her from going too far. Marcel is not only a Breakers player, but a patient of Hazel’s that fans of the series became familiar with in Boldly, and involved at the heart of the issues with former Breaker Mark Shelby, who torpedoed Marcel’s relationship with his ex, Marissa.
Marcel is determined to protect Pru from herself, but is hesitant to get too deeply involved because of the fiasco of his last relationship. Meanwhile, Pru is still chasing adventure in an effort to hide from her scars and emotional wounds from a childhood tragedy, and doesn’t DO relationships with anyone but Hazel and their third musketeer, Beth, who bullied their way into her life.
But it doesn’t take long before they’re both deeply invested, and having to navigate the wounds left by Pru’s childhood and Marcel’s ex in order to make things work. And then there’s the challenge of their nosy family, both the Breakers that they share, and Marcel’s own. Not to mention Marissa, who’s finally come sniffing back around now that Mark Shelby’s out of the picture. Readers will find Pru’s history heart-wrenching, her and Marcel’s antics both laughable and adorable, and root for the couple as they face and overcome their obstacles. I canNOT wait for Smitty’s book, Ballsy, and am more than likely to go back and re-read books 1-3 in the meantime!

***Stuff Your Kindle Haul 11/4/2023***

So freaking sweet!

Pru is the tough, retired professional hockey player who went on high adrenaline adventures.

Marcel is the quiet, broken, hockey guy who has trauma from his last relationship.

Reading the first chapter, I felt like I missed a prologue or a whole chapter and was dropped in the middle of the story. They were already attracted to each other and had a history of flirting at that point. But looking back, I can actually appreciate that this book started when they finally came together - first, as one-night stands and then, as a couple.

I felt for Pru so much, the way she's also broken because of what she'd gone through when she was young. She became closed off from others except for her two best friends to minimize the hurt of losing someone else she loves but Marcel slipped through her defenses when they first slept together. Then she brought him dinner and THAT happened. Oooh, the hurt.

But Marcel did not let her stew on it so much and forcefully made her realize that she was special to him, too. It was amazing to see both of them trust each other and overcome their fears and insecurities. They definitely found their "home" in each other.

The conflict came out of nowhere and I did not expect it. But at least the issue was caused by external forces, not based on miscommunication or something totally avoidable. Warning: total ex drama.

Another thing I loved was the ribbing from Marcel's teammates. The Breakers were really like a family who cared about each other. That's part of why I love reading sports romance.

The only reason I cannot five star it is... third person POVs feel kinda weird for me. I much prefer first person POVs.

Definitely recommend! (Though I do not recommend it to people who dislike the pregnancy trope because they might get their hopes up while reading the book and end up disappointed/ranting by the epilogue).

I am also thinking about reading the other books in the series because the side characters were awesome too.

Breathless is the third book in the Breakers Hockey series. This book can be read as a standalone, but the characters are intertwined in every story. I will say that like book one, I almost did not finish this, but I did stick it out and read Marcel and Pru's story until the end.

Marcel is one of the star players on the Breakers Hockey team and Pru is a former professional hockey player that now works for the Breakers. Marcel has sworn off relationships after a bad break up (mentioned in book one). Pru lives life to the fullest after a very sad incident in her childhood.
Neither is looking for the other, but they have an attraction that can't be stopped. One night is all they were supposed to have, but they can resist the pull they have for one another.

Misunderstandings, not feeling deserving and the fear for losing something special keeps these two pushing and pulling the feelings away. I don't want to give too much away, but these two finally let go and let each other in. Marcel is really sweet with Pru and I liked watching her let go of her tough exterior.

This is a quick read with some good secondary characters, some that we meet in book one. There were some side stories to keep it interesting. Like book one, I almost did not finish because it is a slow starter. Once you finally get into Marcel and Pru's relationship changing it gets better. But I just did not connect with them or the story like I hoped I would. We get our HEA, but not before I felt like the ending was rushed. The very end sets us up for the next book, which always makes me a little crazy.

Overall, the read was ok. Marcel and Pru were likable enough that you pulled for them. There was love, romance, sexy time and some minor drama. ⭐⭐⭐

Breathless is the third book in the Breakers Hockey series, but could be read as a stand alone. Marcel and Prudence couldn’t be more different, but they’re drawn to each other like magnets. Both are a little bit hurt and broken from their pasts, but together, could they prove that love and happiness and home is found in each other’s hearts?

Oh my goodness, this book had everything! There was drama and love and temple kisses (swoon!), and my heart was so invested in this couple right from the very beginning! I adored this couple and their journey to finding love. I loved Pru. I loved how she felt like she had no one to care for her in the beginning of the book, to knowing how loved and surrounded by family of choice by the end of the book! She was brave and bold, especially when it came to following her heart and chasing after love and feeling alive through her love for Marcel. While he was burned from his past with his cheating ex, I loved that once he finally gave in to trying love again, he was all in. Marcel was sweet and caring and attentive and just perfect for Pru. Their chemistry was sizzling from the very beginning, and they definitely had some downs, but I loved their rollercoaster of love. This book had some major twists that I didn’t see coming. I remember thinking about two thirds of the way through that this book could end right now and I’d be happy, but boy, the ending was pretty fantastic! Danger, drama, tears, blood, safety, and swooning! I love this book! I feel like every new book by Ms. Faber I read is my new favorite and it’s not any different with this one!

"What an absolute outstanding book this turned out to be. My emotions have gone through the total wringer. One moment I was laughing and the next I was tearing up. Elise has done such a wonderful job writing these two characters that are perfect for each other. Both Marcel & Pru have had tumultuous pasts, but once I read about Pru when she was younger, not going to lie I actually cried. Now I know she is just a fictional character but the way she was written and the strong emotion felt by me as I was reading it made her seem so incredibly life like. From that moment on I felt like I was her champion - rooting for her to find her happily ever after.
This book has added to what was already an incredible series, so it is now going to be a super high benchmark for the next book to reach to come close to this one. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book." ~Sharon

Pru and Marcel are both learning to navigate their feelings through this romance and I loved the roller coaster. Broken in different aspects they both learn to breath in the other and it leaves them breathless like that beautiful silence on a snowy mountain. It’s calming, peaceful and gives you the sense of being HOME, which is exactly how I saw Pru and Marcel.
I did feel like some of the story was drawn out but over all loved this HEA.

Book 3 in the new Breakers Hockey series is fantastic. As with many of Elise’s books the love and support of friends is so important. Prudence is a badass former hockey player and new member of the Breakers’ NHL team who is in charge of player development and scouting, and the best friend of Hazel, the team’s psychologist.

Prudence first meet Marcel when she first came to town and after a lot of flirting got the message he wasn’t interested when he turned down her invitation for some sexy time. Months later, Marcel clears up the reason for his turning her down and things get seriously steamy quick. Marcel is still recovering from the head games his ex-fiancé put him through and Prudence never lets herself sit still long enough to let the emotional trauma from her past catch up with her.

These characters are perfect together, but they first have to get in the same page and not let a lack of communication cause misunderstandings and her get in their way. Both characters grow and work on building a happy future, and face unexpected obstacles before the HEA can happen.

I really enjoyed this book and the appearance of Hazel and Oliver (book 2) along with Luck and Lexi (book 1). Continuing to get to know the other players increases my interest in their future books. Smitty is next and should be a loud and crazy adventure.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Every time I think this series can’t get better, I am proven wrong. Marcel and Pru grabbed my heart and never let it go. They both were bent, almost broken, but found what they needed in each other. Both were afraid of their feelings for very good reasons, but couldn’t seem to stop themselves.
Marcel had a ex who cheated on him with a teammate. He knew it messed with him, but didn’t fully understand how deeply. Pru has never wanted anything serious because of a tragedy that occurred when she was younger. She has only let a few people get into her heart, but somehow Marcel does it without her realizing it. Marcel fears he is moving to fast, but he wants to prove to her that he isn’t going anywhere.
Of course they have their issues. He wants to buy her things and she is prideful. His sister and his ex also prove to be troublesome. When they both realize they are in deeper than they realized, it may be to late for the temple kisses (one of the sweet gestures he did that made her feel special) or for the feeling of home they both feel when together.
I loved this book. It truly has a bit if everything: friendship, respect, laughter and love. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens with Ballsy.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

This is the beautiful story of Pru and Marcel. Both are flawed with serious trust issues and are reluctant to put their hearts at risk. When Pru first met Marcel, she basically offered herself to him and he turned her down. So when he sees Pru head off to BASE jump from a bridge, he can't believe she could be so reckless and he tries to stop her. Pru, who lost her family many years ago, has never had to answer to anyone and is having none of it. If Marcel doesn't want anything to do with her, then he doesn't get to say how she lives her life. But when Marcel points out that the reason he turned Pru down was that she was drunk and he doesn't take advantage of an incapacitated woman, Pru is willing to try again. Marcel has the sexiest woman he knows on his arm and in his bed, and Pru feels loved and cared for with someone who gives her "temple kisses". But when Marcel's ex girlfriend, who cheated on him with one of his teammates, resurfaces and wants them to try again, she won't take no for an answer. She isn't happy that Pru is in Marcel's life and is willing to do whatever she has to do to get Marcel and the kind of lifestyle she wants, back. These books are all standalone, but they are great reads, so why wouldn't you want to read them all?

Be still my beating heart, so many great heartfelt moments in this bewitching captivating story, words that left an imprint on my soul and a feeling of Breathlessness all at the same time -
"He gives me temple kisses," she whispered."

Marcel and Prudence, are such a unique couple, she is hell-bent on living in the moment and doing all sorts of daredevil stunts, but with the tragic past that Pru has lived through who can blame her, she has always kept people at arm's length even to some degree her best friends, Marcel the hockey player that lives by rules and presentations and has gone through the heartache of betrayal, but is drawn to Pru like no one before, but as soon as he thinks he is making headway with this woman, she bolts, then one stupid misunderstanding and the fleeting piece of heaven he gets is taken away. My heart broke for Pru on so many occasions throughout this story, but one thing that Elise Faber did so well made me STOP for a moment and release that material things don't make a family, it's who you surround yourself with that matters.

Highly recommend

Breakers Hockey #3

Marcel Aubert is a forward for the Breakers Professional Hockey team. He was burned by Marissa, his ex cheating on him with one of his teammates. Now he keeps to himself, plans things out and has just moved on, that is until Pru came along and upended his world.
Prudence "Pru" Hansley is a daredevil and has done all kinds of things that Marcel thinks is reckless including trying to base jump off a bridge in bad weather that he kept her from doing. But she's also smart, has played professional women's hockey and currently works for the Breakers as a Scout and Development Coach.
Pru hit on Marcel once when she had been drinking and he turned her down so she avoided him. He has explained why and they are becoming friends, spending a lot of time together since she is besties with his best friend's fiance. Lots of flirting but both have trust issues, neither wanting to get their heart broken. Can they work it all out and take another chance at love?

Loved this book! There are some really funny laugh out loud but also parts that will bring you to tears and a couple things you might not see coming.

Honestly, up until about a year ago, I had never read anything from this author - hadn't even heard of her. Fast forward to now and she's absolutely become one of my must-reads. Now, I know less than nothing about ice hockey but I've never felt like it's necessary. Yes, this series is set in the world of professional ice hockey, but it's all about the characters. Marcel and Pru were introduced to us in the previous book and if you haven't read it then this may feel like it's moving super quick to start. Pru is an adrenaline junkie who uses adrenaline to compensate for what she doesn't have in her life. Until Marcel.
It took me a little to warm to Pru, I found her quite abrasive initially, but once over that, and once the characters started communicating, then this became a book I both wanted to finish immediately, and didn't want to end.
As with all of this authors books the side characters sometimes add just as much to the story and give just as much insight into the leads that without them the story would be weaker. Such is the case with Smitty, who I can't wait to read his story.

Breathless checks all the boxes for me.

Love Ms Faber’s hockey stories. Breathless, the third job Breakers series, is one of new favorites. It has angst, drama, some humor, chemistry and an HEA involving hockey players. FYI-There appears to be a theme going with Ms Faber’s latest releases regarding child bearing but I won’t spoil that.
Pru and Marcel are so different that they fit each other perfectly. Pru has been running from relationships of any kind for so long. Since joining the Breakers staff, she is finding friendships and family that she hasn’t had in so long. She still won’t let a guy into her world.
Marcel had not too long ago broken up with his fiancé that had conspired with another player and cheated on him. I think this all came out in Broken, the first book in the series. He has been taken with Pru, but hasn’t been ready to make his move. He’s a planner, total opposite of the daredevil Pru. He seizes his opportunity, not planned, and things just get better.
Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Elise Faber lights the lamp with BREATHLESS (Breakers Hockey #3). Breakers forward Marcel Aubert was broken hearted after his ex-girlfriend cheated on him with a teammate. He wasn’t looking for another relationship. NWHL retiree/current Scout and Development Coach for the Breakers, Prudence Hansley, lives for adventure. She didn’t do relationships. However, she did enjoy flirting with Marcel. The two give in to their attraction to each other, but have some misunderstandings along the way.

I like both Marcel and Pru. Marcel is a thinker and a planner. Pru is a thrill seeker: bungee jumping, scuba diving, you name it, she’ll try it. My heart broke for Pru and what happened in her past; it left some scares, physically and mentally. Both Pru and Marcel are private persons. Unfortunately, the team is made up of a bunch of gossips; some of it very amusing.

Elise Faber does a great job with BREATHLESS. It is skillfully written and entertaining. It is an excellent addition to the Breakers Hockey series. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

5 Star review of Breathless (Breakers Hockey #3) by Elise Faber
This is the third book in the series and was a great addition to the series. This is Marcel Aubert, forward for the Breakers and the woman who brought him back to life again, Prudence (Pru) Hansley’s story. Having been badly burned by his ex, Marcel keeps to himself and the books that he finds solace in., until he meets Pru, a woman who fascinates him.
Her outlook on life is freeing, she has done things most people only ever dream of and she finds herself attracted to Marcel. These two could not be more different and yet they work well as a couple. Pru has avoided relationships for a long time and yet now working at the Breakers she finds herself making friends and falling for Marcel.
There were moments where I was moved to tears, moments where I laughed out loud and moments where I swooned. This was an emotional read as Marcel struggles to believe in himself and Pru . Can Pru convince Marcel to take a chance on love again with her?

Pru and Marcel couldn't be more different or they seem that way at first he's a planning kind of guy in life in hockey even relationship's that one blew up in his face big time he has the emotional scars to prove it, then there's Pru.

Pru she knows what she likes and isn't afraid to tell a guy but Marcel isn't interested or it seems that way everyone knows about the ex. And Pru lives her life one base jump to the next or in a 🦈 cage whatever adventure strikes her fancy she has friend's but that special someone that's missing only she didn't know until one night with Marcel.

There are laugh out loud moments teasing between family and teammates lots of love some tears and that one moment when your just like how did that even happen and even some danger and emotional healing but it all works out in the end they work because well there (Home) my favorite line in the book.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Breathless is amazing. I loved this one. You have two broken souls coming together and healing each other in such a beautiful read. Marcel is broken in ways that he has female trust issues. But that does not stop him for falling for Prudence. I love how he breaks down her walls and gives her everything she is missing. Prudence is a bit of an adrenaline junky and lives life on the edge. She has her reasons and once you find out everything from her past you may just need a few tissues on hand. I love the chemistry between Marcel and Prudence. I love how Prudence is there and knows how to talk Marcel to get him to refocus. You are going to love the banter and of course the rest of the appearances of the Breakers teammates. You'll laugh and cry at times and swoon just a little here and there. I cannot wait for more Breakers Hockey to come. I loved every moment of this one.

Pru’s past has shaped her into the woman she has become where she is a risk taker when it comes to the activities she partakes in but keeps an emotional distance from almost everyone in her life except for her best friend Hazel. She has been attracted to Marcel for a while but doesn’t believe he shares her feelings until one night changes everything.

Marcel trusted the wrong woman in the past and he is still trying to heal from the betrayal. Pru has him feeling things he never expected to feel again, and he is determined to show her that they belong together but that means dealing with the past that refuses to stay where it belongs.

Pru and Marcel are complete opposites but so perfect for each other in every way. Seeing them trust each other with their hearts and their pasts is everything you could want and more.

This book has added to what was already an incredible series, so it is now going to be a super high benchmark for the next book to reach to come close to this one. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Another sweet read by Elise Faber. I enjoyed getting to know Pru and Marcel. They were complete opposites and I think that's what made this book more sweet for me. Pru's back story was heart breaking and definitely helped explain all of her craziness. She just needed Marcel to come into her life and break down the barriers she had erected.

If you've read the first two books you know why Marcel is the way he is. He was broken but fighting his way back to whole. I loved him and his planning. But I also loved how he was more than willing to support Pru in any and every way.

Great read, wonderful couple. I'm now looking forward to watching Smitty win the love he wants.

I haven’t read any of the other books in this series and although I enjoyed the book I feel like I probably would’ve enjoyed it a lot more had I read the previous books in the series.
This book literally jumps straight in, Pru goes to jumping into Marcels bed instead of jumping off a bridge within the first few chapters.
Pru is scared to let anyone close incase she loses them so is constantly jumping and looking for the next adrenaline high to get her heart pumping, a night with Marcel and his temple kisses give her just as much as a high but Marcel also has own baggage and insecurities.
A good read but should’ve probably started at book 1 to know more of the characters background and to get the anticipation of their story.

This is the third book in this amazing series and is Marcel and Prudence’s story. Marcel is a forward for the Breakers hockey team and has recently gone through a beak up after his ex-cheated on him with a teammate. Pru is a daredevil adrenaline junkie, who works for the Breakers after an injury ended her hockey career. Both characters have trust issues due to their pasts, but Pru is determined to live life to the fullest and is challenging Marcel out of his comfort zone. This is a beautifully written story which is sweet, humorous, and with witty banter, romance, emotions, crazy shenanigans, and love, which leads to an entertaining and riveting page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I have been waiting for Marcel’s story for what seems like forever and Elise did not disappoint. She gave him the perfect woman to rock his meticulously organized world.

Pru is a hurricane. Outgoing, vivacious, a ball of energy. But underneath all that is a beautifully broken soul, looking for something that she herself cannot name. Together Marcel and Pru find everything they need - Friendship, understanding, acceptance, love and home. Their love story was Intense with a capital “I” and I loved every single minute of it.

I’m giving Breathless the judy.ann.loves.books stamp of approval, TBR and Enjoy!

Breathless is the third book in the Breakers Hockey series ) and I don’t even have the right words to express how much I adored every single moment of this phenomenal story . I love hockey - sports romances so much , they are truly one of my very favorite tropes . Elise is one of my favorite authors and once again blew me away !!! She literally had me not only falling I love with the storyline but also both Marcel and Prudences characters . So much emotion, steamy and sexy moments as well as lots of emotional ones . It did not take me long to devour this fantastic love story , I lost so much sleep because I had to find out how it all ended. I cannot recommend this highly enough.
