The better news is that by celebrating the inner strengths and uniqueness of being introverted, The Introvert Advantage shows introverts how to work with instead of against their temperament to enjoy a well-lived life. I found this book a great read to understand the difference between introverts and extroverts.

Introverts are the minority in this world. Over 70% of the population is believed to be extroverted (though it isn't as simple as black or white). Thus, much of how we function as societies is based on extroverted traits. For example, companies tend to reward employees that speak their minds loudly, take fast decisions and use every available opportunity to network. Introverts can struggle in such environment because they are very inner-focused, they draw their energy not from the outer world but from their thoughts and reflections. They spend a lot of time in their minds, so they are less expressive, more hesitant to speak and less likely to standout generally. On the positive side, they tend to have immense and concrete knowledge about the subjects they are interested in. Many great inventions by humanity can be traced back to introverts.

Not all chapters of the book were interesting to me, and some have a lot of overlap, so they get a bit repetitive. I liked that there are many practical ideas you can implement as an introvert.

These are some of the topics that the book covers:
- Difference between introverts and extroverts
- Main characteristics of introverts
- The role of genes in your temperament
- Left-brain vs. Right brain
- Dating, socialising and parenting as an introvert
- Tips for your daily life and self-care
