It is the P.A.W.S. Institute of the Midwest’s turn to host Rhyfedd, an ancient puzzle hunt that brings students from all the around the globe to compete in a battle of wits..
But once the hunt has started, it is clear that someone is meddling, but who? And what is the connection between the strange puzzles and the charm worn by Doris, the animagus dormouse from New York? And how does the mysterious Cazique fit into this?
Debbie grew up in the UK in the East London suburb of Barking. She has lived in Israel, New York and North Carolina and somehow ended up in St. Louis, where she works as a writer, editor and a freelance puzzle constructor of word puzzles and logic problems. She lives with her husband, two very opinionated felines. She believes that with enough tea and dark chocolate you can achieve anything!
Rhyfedd (The P.A.W.S. Saga Book 9), my fifteenth read from author Debbie Manber Kupfer. A well-written enjoyable 458-page/10-hour 54-minute read. Kupfer has created an ever expanding world. I look forward to Madarak (The P.A.W.S. Saga Book 10), the next book in this entertaining series. "I received an Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." Patricia Hunninghake's narration again adds enjoyment to the read. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Worth the wait. I had the feeling that the Game Master would be who he was, but had not realised the true extent of the manipulation that had occured. Centuries of bitterness and revenge to serve cold. Sadly lives were paid in the process. Whilst the PAWS members grow up, slowly but surely the web that binds them is getting stickier and more intricate. Excellent story weaving occurs here.
