Seven Corners Shifters #5

The Wolf's Vulnerable Alpha

Rate this book
A big, tough, omega is helping me catch the thief who stole from my youth center. Will he steal my heart instead?

True Ramirez is not your typical omega. He’s big, he’s strong, and he’s head of security for his pack. He’s not the sweet, cuddly type. The idea of being mated never crossed his mind, because love isn’t for omegas like him. Sometimes, though, he can’t help but notice Morty, the alpha director of the local youth center True donates to. When brand-new computers get stolen from the center, True goes on a mission to get them back. He staunchly ignores the confusing feelings growing for Morty. After all, it could never be in the cards for them, right?

Morton Willoughby is not your typical alpha. He’s short and doesn’t have as much toughness to offer as other alphas do. He’s been waiting all his life to find his dream omega, settle down, and have a family of his own. Now pushing forty, it seems like a pipe dream. He often wonders, what omega would want him? Instead, he puts his heart and soul into his three hundred kids at his community center. When a major theft occurs, Morty’s desperate for help. He calls donor and tough omega True Ramirez. True vows to get the stolen equipment back, but will Morty’s heart be stolen instead?

Can True find the culprit? Will True and Morty realize that they’re perfectly mismatched? Will they give the Safehouse family a new addition?

This is the fifth book in the Seven Corner Shifters series. This book has a HEA and contains occasional strong language, MPREG, and hot, spicy grownup stuff. The omegas are heating up and the alphas are very knotty boys. Get a FREE short story when you join the newsletter family!

DNF@20% I was intrigued by the idea of a role reversal of typical ABO dynamics but the characters were cardboard cut outs and the actual plot was boring.

At least now next time I see one of the books from this series, or by this author in general, I will know to stay away from them.

Themes: dual POV, ABO, mpreg, opposites attract

Meh I think this was my least favorite in the series. I was really hoping for a fun story with True, but he seemed to crumble like a Nature Valley bar. I wasn’t as invested in this couple or their issues.

4.5 stars. True is a big, strong, somewhat grumpy, menace-looking wolf shifter omega. He’s thirty-seven, and even with him living with his pack he’s lonely, he gave up finding his alpha and start a family.

Morty is an alpha of forty years, a lynx shifter, compared to True he’s small and short build. His dream is a family of his own, somewhere on the road he gave up this dream. Instead, he runs a community center with staff and hundreds of kids all around.

When, one day, shortly after the delivery of brand new computers, these same computers are stolen from the center, True steps in to find the one or ones who did this.
True found something completely different, he found his mate, his fated mate.

The endearments are heartwarming, the devotion brought me to tears, the strong love sizzling, the lovemaking hot, I could hear the firework.
Wait till you hear another great sound, True giggling, it was everything *hearts in eyes*
Two men who thought never had a chance for their own family, mate, or lover, now found one with each other, goosebumps!

I love family, the more the merrier, my dream was to have a big house full of pack, just like True has! I can live that dream through these stories.
These narratives from the Seven Corner Shifters series always make my heart jump with happiness.
It was an awesome story, I loved everything about it, it held the positivity the world needs, it’s super entertainingly written, there’s a great dynamic, a lot of emotions, there’s fun, love, and all the aspects for a wonderful mpreg shifter read!

This is book 5 of the Seven Corners Shifters series but you can enjoy it without having read the previous books first. I really enjoyed this book. This is the story of True Ramirez and Morty Willoughby. True is an omega wolf shifter and head of security for the Ramirez pack. He is not your typical omega as he is larger and much more aggressive than traditionally seen. He believes that he will never have either children or a mate. Morty is an alpha Lynx shifter and the director of The Safehouse Recreation Center. Morty is also not typical. He is smaller, kinder and less aggressive than typical alphas. Reaching the age of 40, he assumes that fate does not have a mate nor children in store for him. He is resigned and pours his love into the children under his care at the Rec Center. The two meet more seriously when someone breaks in and steals all the computers from the center that True had just donated. Determined to find the thieves, True and Morty start to work together. And as they spend more time together, they begin to realize and appreciate the other person. This is their story. This is a very well written book and easy to read. I read it in one sitting. While I enjoyed the MCs and the Ramirez pack, it the children at the Rec Center who steal the show. You will read it with a smile on your face. I really enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

True and Morty . . .

This is a great story where stereotypes are thrown out the window as two very different alpha and omega characters definitely do not fit the mold. Both True Ramirez and Morty Willoughby have already figured they were not meant to find their HEA. They were too different from everyone’s expectations. True, an Omega, is actually a strong, tough male and head of security for his pack. Morty, the director of The Safehouse Recreation Center, is an Alpha but is gentle, non-aggressive, and softspoken. He has always wanted to find his mate and have a family of his own, but he knows that is not realistic for him. And the 300 at-risk kids that come to the youth center keep him plenty busy and happy.

But when the new computers designated for the Center are stolen, True starts an investigation to find them and get them back for Morty. And as the two of them work together on this, their relationship changes a bit as True shows some caring and gentleness and Morty becomes protective of the Omega. Will they realize they are falling in love? Will they catch whoever stole from the Center?

This story line was well-written and the characters were very likable. Grab your copy and see how their story works out. Lots of surprises and love in this one!

We met both of these characters in Tracer and Larkin's story. Morty is a small alpha that runs the rec center. True is the head of security for the Ramirez pack and is unconventional according to omega standards. They seem an unlikely pair but when a theft brings them together, they realize they are fated mates. The lingering looks and longing from prior meetings finally make sense to them. True has problems with accepting and projecting feelings and emotions. Morty is older, tends to get emotional over his 300 kids at the center and wonders if he is "enough" to make True happy. They quickly became my favorite couple of Seven Corners thus far. The size difference and the way they each handle emotions makes this book a different dynamic that works for them. True brings out a more protective, dominant side of Morty. Morty brings out a softer side of True that very few have ever seen.
This is a fun shorter read that will make you smile. Kind of like how super serious True breaks a small smile once in a while believe it or not.

As always I enjoyed Ava's book. This story is full of love and sweetness and a hea for two people who didn't always think they would find love and get their happily ever after. True is a very unusual omega in that he is a tough guy both physically and emotionally. And Morty is an unusual alpha because he's gentle and quiet spoken and not overly aggressive. They are brought together by their mutual love of helping at risk kids and their community. Then a burglary at the community center brings them even closer as True, who is in charge of his pack security, helps investigate. As their relationship progresses there is a shift in both of them. We get to see the softer side of True and we see the tough alpha side of Morty when he is protecting his omega. They are supported by family who are familiar characters from previous seven corners books and by 300 at risk youth from the community center who will have you laughing from the funny things they say. A great book and a great love story!.

This is another great book to read! This is the fifth book in the series. This is the second book about the Ramirez family. True is the only omega out of the three of them. True is having a hard time with feelings. True is a security expert. Morty is an alpha lynx and is now in charge of the Safehouse Rec Center. It currently has about three hundred kids that come through their doors. Morty is excited that they have been able to get some laptops for the kids to use at the center. When the laptops are stolen and the police are unable to find any clues it is put on the back burner until new leads can be found. True comes to the rescue and talks with the head of the Bolder clan and gets help help to get the funds donated to get more laptops. The more time True spends at the rec center the more he feels to pull toward Morty. Are they fated mates???? What happens when True goes into heat???.

Size is relative. Morty, Alpha ran the community center. He was in his 40s, a bit vertically challenged an not perceived as an overly aggressive Alpha and despairs of having an Omega or a family. His community center, is his family. He does crush a little on True Ramirez who belongs to one of the pack families that donate to the center. True also happens to be a large omega who is in charge of the security of the pack. True, thinks he will always be an Uncle an never a Dad because he thinks he's unattractive to an Alpha being as large as to larger and able to kick their butts if needed. He notices Morty. A conflict happens at the center that causes True to step in and he and Morty get to spend more time together. Their courtship and the kids of the center are a fun read. True's pack members are a hoot. Can True solve Morty's community conflict? Can Morty get True to relax and be open to a relationship? Good story. Great support system in the adults and the kids. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved this book! As soon as I read about these two characters, I knew I had to read this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. True and Morty were not the typical omega and alpha. Big, strong, and head of pack security, omega True was exactly what you'd imagine an alpha to be. Alpha Morty isn't the big, tall alpha you'd expect, and is more gentle and patient, and not so assertive. It was so cute how attracted they were to each other. But each believed no one would want them being the way they were, much less their respective crushes. True donated money to the rec center that Morty was a director of. When Morty called him in a panic that their new laptops for the kids were stolen, True immediately took charge and rushed right over to him to help figure things out. I absolutely loved the dynamic between these two- and the chemistry. A wonderful read! I recommend picking this one up. 5 stars.

What is simply beautiful story. We were introduced to Morty who is the director of the rec center and True Ramirez from the Ramirez pack in the last book in the Seven Corners shifters series. True donated funds for computers and sports equipment to the Safehouse, a community program for children who were less fortunate.

When the computers are stolen from the Safehouse, True comes to find out what happened and through working closer with Morty, who he has a crush on, they both realise that they were fated mates. The romance between them was really sweet and as True grew into his Omega role, he became a sweetheart with Morty. I absolutely enjoyed reading this story and recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of book.

I have been following this series along and this was another light, sweet mm shifter mpreg read. In this book Omega and Alpha typical behaviour is let loose as we meet True and Morty again, they are a great fit. They are a fated couple for whom it takes a while before they both realize and act upon thier fate. They have both non typical features and behaviour for their designation.
What I liked the most about this book is that the characters partially shift a fair bit. And the center kids are cute typical kids and ofcourse all the slightly crazy Ramirez pack members .

The books are told from both central characters their POV and can be read as a standalone, but in my opinion you get more 'out' of them if you read them in order.

This book is awesome! An unlikely pair, Morty and True will find their way together with the help of a community center thief. True is an unlikely omega, the only one from a set of triplets and watching his new niece and nephews makes him more than a bit nervous. It’s a joy to watch him change his mind when he and Morty realize there’s a bit more than friendship between them. Morty is a sweet and gentle Alpha and I love the way he dotes on True throughout their journey together. Throw in some obnoxious but loving brothers, a crazy wolf pack and about 300 at risk kids with nothing but love for Mr. True and you have a well written tale that is an absolute must read!.

A protective omega and a kindhearted alpha. Absolutely perfect mates. Size difference didn't matter for these two. Especially since True is much bigger and taller than his alpha, Morty.

A theft at the center brought these two together much faster than they probably would've on their own. Let us not forget the overly curious kids and busy family members - keeping these two in as close a proximity as possible.
Managing a theft, a mating, hundreds of kids, siblings, nieces/nephews and a baby of their own; these two had their hands full, hearts blossoming and the kind of happily ever after they deserved.

An enjoyable read with likeable characters that do not fall into stereotypical roles of alpha and omega. Their journey for True and Morty slowly grows from acquaintances to friendship while they build a solid connection - with a lot of attraction on both sides. Once they finally realize they are mates, it is full steam ahead with passion and love leading to a satisfying HEA.
There is also the mysterious theft that adds a little suspense to the story.

Morty is taken by True a contributor to the center where he works.
Alpha Lynx shifter Morty manages The Safehouse Recreation Center where children from poor homes can spend time and be safe. A delivery of new laptops arrives paid for bya large donation from the Ramirez family and makes him think of True Ramerez the member of the family he usually corresponds with. The omega Wolf shifter True often features in his dreams but he has never made a move to ask him out.

This was a delight. After reading the previous book, I was so anticipating reading True and Morty romance. True the fierce omega and Morty the humble and sweet alpha. Opposites in so many ways that you can't help but cheer them on. A lot of support from family and friends...and the kids...OMG they were a hoot...I love them being "scent detectors" for the clueless True...hilarious. I really enjoyed this from start to end and can't wait to continue on with the series.

While their physical appearances may be opposite of their nature, True and Morton share a protective feeling to the youth center and each other. When a thief steals from the center, it allows a chance for them to be together more and they end up mating. The love between is plain to see. I really enjoyed the scenes of them catching the thieves and True's pregnancy.

Morty is an Alpha Lynx shifter who runs a community center for the area, True is an Omega wolf shifter who does security for the pack. True often helps Morty with donations and assisting when needed but when there is a security breach Morty calls True. Things escalate from there and only get better. I cant wait to read the next book in the series!.

This wasn't your typical alpha/omega pairing and the author did a fantastic job with the story she had to tell!! Morty and alpha is not typical, he's small in stature and soft. Morty is an Omega, but seems tough. Almost like they both broke the mold when created. When computers are stolen from the youth center that Morty runs, True steps up to help find them. But he also finds something else, his fated mate! Overall, a fantastic story, well written with pacing that sucked me right in!

Having two alpha brothers makes True a strong omega and head of his pack's security. He has a huge crush on Morty a lynx alpha. The two find out during a burglary that they are fated mates! As they both navigate through the mating dance and a sudden pregnancy, they solve two crimes. This is a great story so pick up a copy!.

WOW!! So Good!!

Well written story and well developed characters! This book continues in Seven Corners! You really need to read them in the correct order. Then you get a much better experience. True, the head of security for the pack, figured he was too tough and ornery for any alpha to want him! He was okay with that. Honestly he was!

True finally found an alpha to appreciate and love him properly. This was such a good story with the switch of what is usually seen of the Alpha and Omega personalities.

This was such a great story. With an almost opposite Omega Alpha typical couple. Although not quite. True so strong and sure ultimately isn't so sure. Mort is the perfect Alpha for True. I loved this whole story.

Couldn't not read it after it was teased in the prior book, but it didn't really go where I expected. Very not angsty, considering they were set up to be pining for each other.
