'𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬' definitely pacts an impact with their emotional journey without giving too much away these two will make a stamp on your heart, they were so easy to relate to, to love, to connect with their struggles we had front row seats of.

Who doesn't love a good second chance romance? I know I do and I couldn't wait to read about this couple because if there’s one thing that I know about this author is that she brings you the angst and the feels!!
It’s been two years since Breena felt her heart break in two and she’s doing everything in her power to move on. They say love is messy, complicated, painful and will be the most gut wrenching and fulfilling thing you've ever put yourself in and you know what? they’re right. But for Breena and Sebastian, there’s no forgetting and moving on because these two have unfinished business.
I really liked the flow of the story and I felt what the heroine was struggling with. She was in a very difficult position and you saw her struggle and try to put everyone else ahead of herself sometimes. My only complaint is that I wished that when it came to certain situations, Breena would’ve put her foot down a bit more. I also would've loved to see Sebastian’s pov because when that man spoke, you felt the hurt and regret down to your bones!
If you’ve read anything from this author, then be prepared to be hit with the familiar feels, anger, and love for these characters. When It Rains is going to make you fall in love all over again for a painful heart wrenching second chance romance.

Its been a while since I've read a B. Celeste book and I don't know why I haven't read more. She really knows how to write raw emotion and heartbreak. The minute I started reading this, I knew I was going to love it. I was really invested in Breena & Sebastian's journey. I could feel all the love and pain right along with the characters. The only reason this wasn't a full 5 stars was I felt like the actual breakup from the past scenes was underwhelming. There was no fight from either of them. As much therapy Breena needed and how she struggled to move on, you would think they were together longer than they actually were. Also the ending was a bit rushed, there was no time to process when Breena revealed what she had done. Still, beautiful writing!

This is the story about a man who couldn't commit and a woman strong enough to walk away.
I have to give kudos to Breena for being able to do that but...she pays the price for it and slowly we find out why.
The story is told with flashbacks to the past and how the couple met and how their relationship grew.
I liked finding out how Sebastian was affected. It was interesting to see both their personalities come out and it wasn't until then that I figured out how Breena was.
There is a third party involved which I didn't really care for and felt it/he took away from the story.
I definitely enjoyed the story and I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

This was a very emotional journey and it had spoken to some parts of me that I had years that let go...
Who haven't hurt by love??? Who wasn't possessed by the irrationality of love???
Unfortunately, our heroine took it more heavy than most people and it haunted her for a while!!!
Honestly, I didn't know how to feel about Breena...
Sometimes, I wanted to slap her in order to put some sense in her, but other times, I just wanted to hug her and never let her go!!!
"When it rains, nobody can see the tears. And when the sun peaks through the clouds, it's a threat that reveals everybody's secrets."
Breena had fell in love with Sebastian, but it seems that they weren't on the same page...
So Breena had to make a hard decision in order to save herself....
Unfortunately, her heart was already in too deep and after two whole years apart, his memory is still hunting her...
But Breena in order to forget, she had been trapped in a relationship with another man...
What will happen when Sebastian comes back into her life and he is demanding her attention and affection???

This story was very complicated and it was focusing solemnly to Breena and her mental state...
Breena was a lost woman... Lost in grief for her lost love....
Even if she wanted, she couldn't move on and I was pitying her!!! But from the other hand, I believe that Breena was irrational back then...
"You need to ask yourself if that love is going to be enough. There are many kinds of love out there, and sometimes we settle for the kind we think we deserve even if it's not for us."
I can not tell you how much I have loved Sebastian!!!
This man was everything... Yep, he had made some mistakes in the past, but in the present proved us over and over again that he was a boyfriend material and that his heart was beating only for Breena...
This couple was so perfect together even though individual they were two broken people!!!!
"Love is like a butterfly because it's a beautiful and delicate thing, If you truly care about it, you'll do anything to make it happy. Even if it means letting it go."
I won't hide to you that in here, I saw my self twenty years ago!!!
I had lived something similar in the past and honestly, I was feeling Breena's pain and desperation very deeply... Depression is not a funny thing!!!
But when you have a guy like Sebastian by your side, you can finally find the end of the tunel and see the bright sky for once again...
This was indeed a very emotional ride!!!

When It Rains is an emotional rollercoaster!! I’ve really been anticipating this book for many reasons, mainly it being a second chance book.
Breena is such a strong character. I could talk about her for a long while because of the way I connected with her in some ways and also for her ability to keep on going even when things get real tough. I’ve always liked B. Celeste’s female characters and she really just high up there with my top favorites in general. Getting to read her story made me understand her as a whole. With Sebastian he intrigued me ever since I read the blurb. To be able to feel throughout time what Breena felt for Sebastian was what made me want to get to know him more.
Second chances in books is something I’ve always enjoyed and this book is just another reason why. It’s to be able to read what these characters go through, how they met, their fallout..the beginning and the after. Both are flawed but that’s what makes their love seem more real! When It Rains made me smile and cry and it captured my attention from the very beginning.

Oooh this one was good!
Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I ddint think it was going to be as hard-hitting and serious as it was. There were times when I was shocked by how much I could relate to the main character. Bree was such a really complex character. I loved the past and present storytelling, and the many topics discussed. Sebastian was interesting to read about, my favorite parts were when he was present haha. I absolutely loved the steamy scenes between him and Bree.
"He’s not touching me, but I feel it all the same."
I only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was that it felt a little short and like everything happened at the end. I wanted the reveal to be talked about more and I wanted to cry haha. With so many serious topics I didn't really get emotional.
The writing was absolutely beautiful and I am so excited to read more from B. Celeste.

This was a beautiful emotional second chance romance about finding the right love at the wrong time and the heartache and emotions that come with trying to move on and love again until you run into that true love after you’ve tried to heal and move on the writing was raw and real the angst hurts so good the steam was on fire this was such a good story I devoured it in one sitting definitely recommend and definitely enjoyed!

Writing is very good, as always. It kept me going. I finished in one night. Not once did I want to DNF. I really love books from B. Celeste. Her tropes are *chef kiss*. Didn’t think twice with this one! I needed an ARC ASAP. And for that, thank you so much for kindly giving me one! 🖤
It’s also more a Love Triangle(ish) book. What I love! I only read Love Triangle when I know from the beginning WHO’S the endgame. You feel it. There was no “I’m torn” here. Sebastian is Bree’s man through and through.
Loveddddd that the author added more sex scenes even though she doesn’t like writing them. Proud of you, B, for stepping out of your comfort zone. You nailed it. I was 😮💨😮💨😮💨!!! Can we talk about that shower scene?

Bree annoyed me a lil bit with her inner monologue because it was all about Sebastian. 😩 All her thoughts were about him. It’s like she was really dependent, on his love for everything, she was so miserable without him, then jumped into another relationship because of her unresolved feelings. The need to feel loved and wanted. I really liked Sebastian from the flashbacks, I did not consider him a 🍆 at all, he treated Bree with so much love. While I liked that she went to therapy, she only got better when Sebastian came back to her life. That’s not really… healthy.
No epilogue. Ending felt rushed, especially when Bash discovers the truth. I needed MORE. I wanted more of them NOW. TODAY. PRESENT TIME.
Did enjoy but wasn’t enough for me to love their story. Didn’t connect much with the characters. Sometimes it felt like it was a therapy/self-help the whole book. Everyone giving advice. It’s nice but it’s kinda tiring 😬 Mom, best friend, therapist, even the boss…

Ok book but it didn't have a climax. It was a very flat, underdeveloped story. I was disappointed in the "big secret reveal" which was literally 3 sentences on the very last page of the book.

When two people are meant to be, they are meant to be, and this book gives us all the angst, the doubts and the steam, of a couple getting that second chance.
Brenna, our heroine met the man of her dreams, Sebastian, who swept her off her feet and gave her everything she needed, except a label and the love she wanted back in return. To be honest with herself, she choose herself and walked away. This caused her great heartbreak and put her into a depression.
Now, two years later, she is in a new relationship, although not a great one, when Sebastian turns back up in her life, ready to fight for their happy ever after.
The book is told in two timelines, the past when Brenna met and was with Sebastian and the present time where she has moved on and I enjoyed going back and forward. The liked the giddiness and happiness Brenna had when she was with Sebastian and how he made her feel and when reading the present, you could feel the depression in her and her struggles with trying to trust Sebastian again while having guilt over having a new boyfriend and trying to recognise the abuse she was under. My heart truly went to her at times.
Throughout the book, there is a reference to something big happening to Brenna and as the secret came out, I wish we got more than what we did. I wanted to hear Sebastian’s words because that man has words! I felt it was brushed over and it was a big event. I would also love some kind of extended epilogue to see them happy in the future, they both deserve that.
I love Celeste’s writing, it’s full of emotion and feelings and topics that make you uneasy, but I’m always sucked into it. It’s real, there is pain and at times I can feel my heart ripping out my chest and she is one of the few authors who can make me feel that way.

When It Rains is a story about second chances and meeting the right person at the wrong time. It’s an emotional, hard hitting romance and I absolutely loved it!
Sebastian and Breena meet in a coffee shop and there is instant chemistry between them. They end up getting into a relationship and things are going good.. until they aren’t. Sebastian can’t seem to put Breena and their relationship before his work, so Breena makes a very tough decision to leave him. The present scenes are her working through that and we get to see how the breakup affected her.
This story is told between past and present and in only Breenas POV. I’m not usually the biggest fan of the back and forth between past and present but I really enjoyed it in this book and it was definitely necessary for the story. I loved the past scenes seeing how Sebastian was with Breena and their chemistry is off the charts.. and I also really enjoyed the present scenes with Sebastian back in her life. Also the steamy scenes.. yall. Can we all just take a moment for the bathroom scene?🥵🔥

When It Rains has easily just bumped its way to my top read of 2022!
B. Celeste is one of my favorite authors, and I love her style of writing. She has not written a book that I have not 100% loved. I knew going into When It Rains that I would not be disappointed and I had high expectations. But let me tell you! This book was not like what B typically writes! It was deeper, a bit darker. Sadder. More emotional. And B can write emotional, so I don’t even know if that’s the right way to describe this book. I connected with this story, with Breena, more than I have in any other story in, maybe ever. I was constantly on edge, wondering what Austin was up to. I simultaneously wanted to punch/hug Bash. And more than anything, I wanted to hug Breena and also beg someone to hug me at the same time!
B. Celeste never fails to get me in my feels and When It Rains was no exception! Her style of writing is exceptional, especially in this book. The way it was written, the perspective it was written made this story! I could not put it down. I read it straight through, because I was so anxious to find out what happened next. I had to know what Austin was up to or if Breena would be okay or if Bash would be there in the end. Once you start, you will be sucked in!
If I could give more than 5 stars, this is one of those books I would. I give a lot of 5 star reviews, it’s true. And I think every single book I give a review to deserves it. But this book. Wow. I am truly blown away by another amazing story told by B. Celeste
When it Rains brings us the story of Breena. She is torn between her past and her present, trying to be happy. Only her happiness is always on someone else’s terms.
B. really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. Breena is easy to relate to if you have ever been in a position where your past and present collide, trying to find yourself. While this is a love story to the core, I really feel like it is truly Breena’s story on loving and forgiving herself. This is an emotional read and you can tell B. put part of herself into it.
Please read any trigger warnings prior to reading as this is a cheating romance and does deal with two other heavy topics!

Another journey full of turmoil, angst, and love from B. Celeste!
This is one of her steamiest books yet and is heavy on the emotions, but so worth the read. It deals with abuse (emotional/physical), mental health, cheating, and the journey that lead to it all.
I love B’s books because they’re not your typical stories. She takes the plunge and writes about the hard stuff that not many others will. And she does it so beautifully.
Take the plunge with her and give this book a chance.

As far as this being “emotional” or me getting invested in the story that’s a real hard no.
As a result, I skimmed about 40% of this.
I don’t think Sebastian, (I refuse to call him Bash) changed at all from who he was before.
After two years; losing the love of his life and bettering himself hoping for a second chance with her; you would think he would be able to communicate/ be emotionally available.
Nope!
Instead he’s the same closed off emotionally fragile 30ish year old man boy.
And the heroine, is the same, a glutton for punishment because she took him back pretty much immediately.
Overall, they both deserve each other, the smut was good and the authors note made this barely a three star read for me.

I was not sure if I wanted to give this book 5 or 4 stars, but after a week I decided that: following Celeste's journey on social media and how personal this book is to her and how I could relate to this book of who I was 15 years ago, 5 stars is the proper rating.
You see, I was Breena more or less and my heart was shattered to pieces and yes I also had my second chance... but I could not forgive the past. We all have regrets and what ifs but it is very important of letting go (people or memories or hurt) forgive and/or understand and move on.
Breena tried so hard to work on herself and move on with her life.
“It took me a while to realize that it hadn’t been him I was holding onto. It was the fear of having to start all over again.” Been there, done that as well. Breena, after a bad break up, tries to meet new people. Her date ghosts her but fate has other plans and she meets Sebastian.
"But no love story goes straight to happy ever after, and nobody ever makes it out completely unscathed". Truer words have never been spoken. Three years later, while Breena tries to come in terms with the ghosts and choices of the past and in a new relationship, she meets Sebastian accidentally. I believe in second chances and I always give a second and a third. Breena on the other hand is not sure if she needs to protect herself from Sebastian or from her current boyfriend. Alas we get to see Breena's journey to happiness.
"Sometimes the broken version of a person ends up being the best version they can become"
I made it to the other side and found my HEA. And so did Breena.
I would love to see Sebastian's POV when he decides that he needs Breena in his life and at the end.
I think I need a sequel.

Deep. Emotional. Reflective. Growth. - Best way I can describe this book
B.Celeste weaves an intricate story between past and present that leaves you guessing along the way. She gives us little puzzle pieces as the story progresses that don't quite fit together until the past and present begin to collide and it all starts to unravel. The anticipation of where this story was going had me turning pages all hours of the night.
This story is told from Breena's (FMC) POV only. I usually prefer dual POV, however the single POV really worked for this book. This story is truly about Breena's journey and growth and honestly, we were able to feel the other main characters in this story just by their interaction with her - we didn't need their inner thoughts.
I really related to Breena. I felt like she was real. Her insecurities something a majority of people experience and don't always speak of. Even with those insecurities and doubts plaguing her mind - she was still such a strong character and I think that's what I loved about her most.
I have a lot to say about the Male MC's in this book - but I won't. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone, and I think anything I have to say about them will definitely spoil it.
There is cheating in this book. Usually - this is a turn-off for me, however there are a few authors (B.Celeste being one of them) - where I will push myself outside of my comfort zone and read anything they write because they are just that good. The cheating is handled really well in the story-line, I didn't get the usual hostility and anxiousness - reading it. Honestly, it fit - and I don't think the story would have the same impact if it wasn't included. I'm just putting this out there for those that may choose to skip over this book due to this particular content.
I think I highlighted about 80% of this book - so many thoughtful words and impactful moments.

"I'd like to think we need different kinds of love for different phases in our life. Just because no two love stories are the same doesn't mean they're not both impactful."

What a truly beautiful second chance at love story that pulled on my heartstrings and had me crying into my pillow. This story had my emotions all over the place and kept me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with anticipation and turning the pages quickly as I needed to know what was going to happen. The realism and poignantly written words bleed off the pages making the story instantly come to life and captivating me throughout.

Beautifully written story that touched my heart with its passionate characters and storyline that delved into some tough topics that were raw, emotional and relatable. I absolutely loved it and never wanted it to end.

I want to thank B. Celeste for sending me an ARC!! I really enjoyed this book a lot and I was very excited considering it was a second chance romance. I really love how this story was shaped and how we got to see Bree and Sebastian in the past at the start & during their relationship to the present with them trying to figure out where they stand. I love reading about Bree just trying to understand herself and emotions and figure what she needs to satisfy her life. I like that she’s a strong woman but this story also shows that it’s okay to ask for help and you don’t have to be strong all the time. So I definitely recommend this story. Check TW!!

OMG! This book was absolutely amazing! The raw emotions, the topics and the way it was written! It was really perfection.
This book follows the story of Breena, Austin and Sebastian. Breena is in a relationship with Austin because she is trying to move on from her previous relationship with Sebastian. It has been two years and she feels like she has to get her life in hand. She works as an editor's assistant and is trying to figure out how to step out of her comfort zone. However, one meeting from the man in her past and she is a goner.
This book was an absolute gem! I loved the writing and I love the way B Celeste described Breena's emotions. It was so raw and you can tell that she has some demons inside of her that she is trying to confront and move forward. Even though I am not an advocate for cheating and I disagree with it - in this book it was a 100 % called for.
I loved how Breena's character started to slowly fight towards the end and believe that she, too, deserve a happy ending.
It was an amazing second chance, forbidden romance with a bit of cheating. I definitely recommend it.

Let me start by saying, B Celeste knocked it out of the park with this one. It was so raw and emotional. You can tell a lot of this story is from personal experience and it takes a strong person to write like she did for this book.
Now as for Breena and Sebastian… The love they have for each other is like no other. Sebastian would love and support Breena to the end of the earth whether he knows it or not. He feels like there is a lot of growing up and personal development he needs to do in order to be good enough for her. While Breena is willing to patiently wait for him and support him through it all.
Breena goes through a lot in her years without Bash but comes out as a stronger person because of it. But she does have to go through a lot of hurt and self doubt to get there.
I loved taking their journey with them. As a reader, you can connect with this couple on so many different levels. I was hooked until the last page and still didn’t want it to end.

B. Celeste has a knack of being able to dig underneath the skin of your emotions. This story focuses on the turmoil and angst experienced by Breena and Sebastian. At times this felt like a therapy session where the characters got all their hurt and anger out within the pages.
The book flits between past and present and overall I liked the flow of the storyline. Breena is trying to move on from her previous relationship however she is struggling as there was never any real closure. As bits and pieces are slowly revealed to the reader you begin to get a sense of her pain and confusion. I wasn't sure if we were meant to see Bash as the villain in her story and was anxiously waiting for us to meet him in the present. I cannot say that I completely understood Breena but I did empathise with her feelings of inadequacy, feeling unhappy in herself and wanting stability.
This is one of those stories that stays with you long after you've finished. For me the one thing that was missing was Bash's perspective I would have liked some chapters from him so we got to see how he felt when everything was happening. You never know we might get lucky and a novella could appear in the future.

One of the things I love about B. Celeste is that she writes the hard parts. The gritty parts…where our hearts are left beating rapidly.
This is highly emotional and walks us through a relationship that happened at the wrong time with two people who weren’t able to fully meet each other.
This story follows Breena, Sebastian, and Austin.
B. Celeste wrote her heart out with this one. As always, the writing is beautiful. I love a passionately charged second chance romance. I did struggle a little with understanding the characters at times, particularly Breena’s relationship with Austin. I didn’t feel overly convinced on why they were together.
However, I can appreciate the journey the characters were on and I was satisfied with how it turned out in the end. Things unfolded how they were meant to.
B. Celeste knows how to deliver angsty forbidden stories.
One of the things I love about B. Celeste is that she writes the hard parts. The gritty parts…where our hearts are left beating rapidly.
This is highly emotional and walks us through a relationship that happened at the wrong time with two people who weren’t able to fully meet each other.
This story follows Breena, Sebastian, and Austin.
B. Celeste wrote her heart out with this one. As always, the writing is beautiful. I love a passionately charged second chance romance. Wow! What an emotional journey about love and second chances. Breena meets Sebastian at a coffee shop. And they start dating. But Sebastian is never able to fully put Breena before his career and admit the love that he so obviously has for her. It’s been two years since they broke up. Breena is still dealing with the aftermath of Sebastian, but has a steady boyfriend and has been moving forward. Her therapist suggests to stop avoiding the places he used to frequent and gives her a homework assignment to go the the grocery store she stopped going to. When she does she runs into Sebastian. I liked Breena, it was easy to relate to her, and how she felt. Once I started reading I wasn’t able to put it down. Definitely a read that I recommend.
