A moving story of one man, deeply troubled by the circumstances of his life, who travels to the islands of Hawaii hoping to find peace. Here, he is befriended by two intriguing people who speak in ways that mystify yet fascinate him. Thus begins a spiritual journey into a world of extraordinary feelings, which bring him understanding and an answer beyond anything he had ever dreamed possible. In this novel, set in a world of soft tropical beauty, the author shares his quiet philosophical knowledge in a comprehensible yet profound manner.
I have read this book several times and love the peaceful feeling I experienced. Such a touching reminder that a second chance is possible for all of us.
Only four stars because the writing style is basic, as is the story line. The message the author wants to say is effectively conveyed though and it’s not long.
So if you want a taste of Sydney Banks and what he has to offer then go for it but don’t expect Hemingway.
fucking trash, the literary equivalent to a love laugh live sign or some inspirational sclop on facebook. DO NOT give such shit room in your brain, it neither deserves nor warrants your attention.
It was ok and loved the story and the scenery but for me it was not that deep and moving. Probably because I read quite a lot of similar books. Good for someome who reads in this genre for the first time.
a Sydney Banks book is always awakening to read for first time. But I think the book enlightened gardener by Sydney banks include so much more interesting quotes etc so I recommend thats the book you have to read :)
