Story unfolds further... Danny is faced with 2 of thise he fled from in the protection system.
They end up dead, eventually, but now he will have to expose his secret to his new friends from the town

Oh, My Sweet Jesus! Terrifyingly Action-Packed!

Old Demons is Book #2 of The Carterville Series, written exceptionally well by Percival Pack. Oh, my sweet Jesus, but this book is so full of action that I couldn't put it down until I read the last page, and now I'm going to have to wait for Amazon to get Book #3 back online for me to find out what happens next. It took all of 30 minutes to read this episode, and I must say that each episode 1 and 2 played out like the first two episodes of a continuation television drama. I LOVED IT!!! In this episode, Kelsey and Danny continue with the remodeling of the old Johnson house that Danny now owns. Each of them are worried about the note that was thrown through Danny's window the previous day. Who threw it and why? While remodeling the house, Danny and Kelsey move an old couch and a metal box falls out of it. It is locked and a key to it isn't found. Since Danny doesn't have a chisel, Kelsey goes to the hardware store to buy one, deciding to buy two, instead of just one. But before she even pays for the chisels, she finds out from Mr. Walton, the store owner, that Danny's real name is Cody, and that two really bad-looking men are in search for him. Kelsey drops the chisels and runs out the door, driving full-speed to Danny's house. When she gets there, she finds Danny all tied up and the bad guys threatening to kill her and Danny if they don't get $100,000. They leave Danny died up, while they kidnap Kelsey, and hold her hostage at an old house. Danny is in Witness Protection, but he knows he needs help, in order to save Kelsey, so he enlists Kelsey's sister, Bethany, and her boyfriend, Buck, who is a deputy in Carterville. This book is excellent, and I can hardly wait to read Book 3. I gave this book 5 big old fat stars and wish I could have given it more!

And as the prequel short foreshadowed, Danny’s past catches up with him but since the tale continues for 3 more volumes one suspects that somehow he survives. Knowing him may not be the smartest thing Kelsey ever did.
Bethany and her cop friend buck save Kelsey and Danny. The Sheriff and Mayor are corrupt and in cahoots.

A nail bitter
Just as Danny starts to feel comfortable trouble arrives and has to be handled.
Once the book was opened I couldn't put it down until it was finished. Can't wait to start the next book

I’m still in shock over what I just read. I was at the edge of my seat thinking one thing was going to happen and something else ends up happening. Great story premise! All encompassing storyline you won’t regret it.
