New to Leslie? Readers suggest starting with 'The Bossy One' (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6BP3BBF) —Imagine a sunny Minnesotan Mary Poppins, employed by a grumpy Irish billionaire. The story is a blend of humor, revenge, passion, heartbreak, hope, and witty banter. As one reader put it, ‘This story had me squealing at the romantic moments and silly moments.’

Leslie North is the USA Today Bestselling pseudonym for a critically-acclaimed author of romantic comedies and contemporary romance. The anonymity allows her to fully express her creativity, especially in the romantic and fun sexy scenes!

In fact, she confesses to loving her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her everyday self! Her bestselling books are known for their strong characters, particularly women who aren’t afraid to challenge an alpha bosshole. And the humor? So infectious, you’ll be laughing out loud in public!

Leslie’s love for romance began when she picked up a worn-out romance book from her local library. She started writing soon after, and as they say, the rest was history. She now resides in a cozy cottage on the British coast, enjoying long walks with her two Dalmatians, George and Fergie.

Fate brings Brea and George together as a major winter storm was brewing. She's on the way to spend Christmas with her estranged parents when the storm strands her. She takes refuge at George's home much to his dismay. He's had a bad day with an attempted assignation on his life and the last thing he wants is company. The tension and banter between them is strong at best. Both have family issues that they discuss and then things get a little steamy. The book is good but slower paced than most of Leslie North's book. Overall a good read with an engaging story line. Snowed In with the Billionaire starts off with Brea driving through a snow storm to get the her parents house on Christmas Eve. Why? Well, the snow storm came a little earlier than Brea had expected. So here she is, driving around with limited visibility, two hours away from her parents, listening to the radio talk about playboy billionaire (why are the billionaires *always* playboys?) George Clark.

And now she’s stood in George Clark’s hide-away cabin, car stuck in the snow, and trying to call a tow-truck.

Georgie boy here pissed someone off. And while leaving his annual Christmas gala with some blonde attached to his hip, someone shot at him! Yeah! So what does any billionaire do when they’re life is at risk? Go into hiding if course. No one knows where he is and Brea has just stumbled on his hideaway.

Maybe it’s because I’ve just never had it, but I’m not keen on these “love at first sight” things. It doesn’t sit with me – how can you look at someone and think “that’s the one for me.” ?

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had lust at first sight – good looking guy I wouldn’t mind jumping on. But to think that someone is that attractive I must know everything and I must be with this person after only knowing them for a day.

But anyway, moving on…

I enjoyed the story. It was cute. I do feel like it could’ve been a little longer – maybe talk about the shooting a bit more; who did it? We’re they brought to justice? And perhaps Christmas with his family… I think that would’ve been cute. See how that interaction went after not seeing George for five years and he suddenly turns up, with a girl too!

Based on other billionaire stories, this was rather tame. We had a little into his mind, and one semi-sexy scene. I say that because that’s how it was. It didn’t heat me up, but did the job in knowing what they were doing. More descriptive writing would’ve been good, I guess.

And I think a little on protection too. Brea went from “not a one night girl” to stripping off and forgetting about sexual safety? he’s been with his fair share (and half the male populations fair share by the sounds of it) of ladies, so I do believe Brea would’ve been like “do you mind wrapping up first.”

All in all, cute story. But would I go off and buy it? Probably not. Would I read anything else in the series? Maybe. But I’m not running to Kindle to find the rest.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC

Brea is driving home for Christmas when she gets stuck in the snow and has to seek shelter. In a house nearby, she meets George who is famous for being a rich playboy entrepreneur. Brea is very prejudiced and judgmental about him, thinking he's "a failed human" and putting a negative spin on everything he does or says or doesn't say, even when he's just trying to be nice. He could be forgiven for being a little wary of strangers, given that he's just been shot at. After some initial antagonism they open up about their families. Her parents are awful and she's trying and failing to get accepted by them. His parents are loving but he's cut contact
for no good reason.

I love the concept of two strangers getting stranded together in the snow for Christmas, the forced proximity, the heart-to-heart conversations, one night changing their lives. This was a concise well edited story, it's just that the characters fell emotionally a little flat for me. It's third person point of view and some of the dialogue consists of long speeches.

Did I miss something, or did we ever find out if the person who attempted to murder George was caught?

Steam level: unprotected sex with a playboy who treats women as disposable. Uh oh. Girl you sure about that?.

This is a sweet holiday story with strong characters in Brea and George. Two opposites stranded together in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve, start off on the wrong foot but grow closer as the night moves on. It's a feel good Christmas romance , moves fluidly and is an enjoyable read.

A holiday treat that spreads joy all year round. Snowed in with the Billionaire sets fire to the senses with whole bunch of heat and heart. Brea and George are strangers in the night with alot to learn about matters of the heart. A sweet tale of emotion that is not afraid of a little sizzle.

I have to admit, I went into this erotic romance "quickie" with low expectations. Typically, erotic romance that is this short centers around one intimate encounter, and that's why I call them "quickies". These kinds of stories often have little if any heart or depth to them. They are written for one purpose really, so they don't waste time with character development.

In terms of plot, Snowed in with the Billionaire is exactly what is promised in the title. Brea is a down-on-her luck barista who is just trying to get home to spend the holidays with her dysfunctional family. Her clunker of a car quits on her, but the nearest tow truck company is closing early for the evening so its workers can be with their families for Christmas Eve. So, Brea is forced to walk through a slight blizzard until she can find a house or shop, so she can call her family and tell them she is going to be late. Whose home does she arrive at but a sexy, billionaire playboy who is recently recovering from being shot while attending a gala event.

Both of our leads have their walls up because they have trust issues, but over the course of the evening, Brea and George slowly bound by having some rather heartfelt conversations...and other things.

If I am being honest, this book is 3-3.5. It is not going to be a story that sticks with me for very long. That said, I am giving this novella a four-star rating because so much about this story was unexpected.

1) Our heroine is not a skinny 10. She wears glasses and dresses for comfort not style. Her belly is described as "pleasing but not flat." Her appearance is messy, because she had to walk in a blizzard after a long day of work. In other stories, she would be described as having a hair or two out of place but still looking like a pinup model. Not this story, and I so appreciated that bit of realism.
2) Our playboy billionaire is not a sexist, arrogant "love them then leave them" jerk. He has casual relationships because he does not have time to invest in a relationship.
3) Also, and this is so important, George understands consent. Yes, really! And Brea's needing to take things a little slow over the evening is not portrayed as her being a prude or playing hard to get. She is self-conscious of her body because her mom constantly puts her down.
4) Lastly, and truly the most refreshing and surprising aspect of this novella, it is both well-written and heartfelt. There are genuinely some touching and pretty deep conversations that Brea and George have. Though they eventually feel attraction for one another, it has more to do with them bonding in conversation, getting to know one another, than it is pure lust.

Yes Brea is our "not like every girl" heroine, and George is the "too perfect" love interest, but this novella had way more heart than I expected while still delivering some steam.

I found this audiobook free on YouTube, and I liked it so much that I had to show my appreciation for the author by buying Snowed in with the Billionaire for my Kindle, though I likely won't read it again. I am definitely going to listen to or read something else by Leslie North when I get the itch, so to speak. :-)

What the magic of Christmas feels like
This book is about Brea and George. She’s on her way home to her family on Christmas Eve when her car veers off the road in a snow storm. The conditions leave her stranded in a ditch and she bravely decides to walk to the nearest house to ask for assistance. Brea happens upon a cottage and cannot believe who opens the front door – George Clark, the scandal-driven playboy. He invites her in, but their reception to each other is anything but warm.
Their interactions reminded me so much of Anthony and Kate in Bridgerton, which I love! The things they say, and the way they say them is both funny, mean and a bit of a turn-on! They too certainly vex each other to no end. They both feel bad for the way they’ve come across, but are both too stubborn to admit it, at first.
They open up to each other, get to know each other better, and their attraction grows. There’s no denying their chemistry is sizzling-hot, but who would dare make the first move? Neither of them had or have any plans to find love or a fling. Even Brea’s meddling mother doesn’t have the power to change her tune.
Snowed in With the Billionaire is an enjoyable read with great characters full of spunk and personality. There are some dramas and surprises (not all welcome) that make the story fun and endearing. I just wish the story hadn’t finished where it did. I wanted more. I give this book four and a quarter stars.

Stuck in Close Quarters

Brea's travelling home in a snowstorm & gets stranded in the countryside. Rather than freeze in the car, she ventures out into the storm, hoping to find a cabin where she can use a phone or who can help her. Turns out the cabin door she knocks on, belongs to the infamous George Clark who is very suspicious of her showing up at his doorstep on Christmas eve. He is guarded & she's believing what the tabloids said about George. Once the air is cleared between them, they each find there's an attraction to each other. The fire in the fireplace is not the only thing that is hot in that cabin! This is the best Christmas ever for Brea & George! I thoroughly enjoyed being wrapped up into this story with their family backgrounds & of how Brea breaks down the barriers that George had up to protect outsiders from his heart. This story will warm your heart & you'll fall in love with these 2 strangers thrown together & who have decided to give true love a chance. Beautifully written!

Love a good forced proximity read!
I read this book in just a few hours, couldn't put it down.

It's Christmas Eve, and Brea Nelson is driving in a terrible snowstorm to be with her family. While listening to the radio she hears that billionaire playboy George Clark has been shot, and is hiding out somewhere. After Brea's car ends up stuck, she wanders out in the storm to find a phone, and shelter. She knocks on the first door she finds, and who happens to be the home owner? None other than George Clark himself!

This story is told within less than 24 hours - though I was happy to read the epilogue to get a little of their future! I would have liked to have seen a bit more at the end, like Brea's ex & mom's reaction to her new boyfriend. I liked Brea & George's progression, opening up a little more and more to each other as the night went on.

There were a few things that didn't quite make sense to me - Brea's dating history & George's issues with his parents - but I still enjoyed this book a lot!
3.5 ⭐️ (rounded up to 4)

As I've come to expect from Leslie North books, SNOWED IN WITH THE BILLIONAIRE did not disappoint.

*** I received a complimentary eARC of this book via NetGalley and all opinions in this review are entirely my own.

Leslie North writes steamy and heartfelt romances that I can binge-read in a day (two if I start it late in the day like this one).

I loved Brea and George. Brea is on her way home to see her family for Christmas when she ends up in a ditch in a snowstorm. Not dressed for the weather, she hikes to a nearby house in the woods, happening to belong to billionaire George. At first, he's suspicious of her and isn't all too happy about someone invading his private space, but the two of them warm up to each other as the night progresses.

Watching Brea and George get to know each other was sweet but I think I would have liked more of the romance. But either way, I loved this book and am eager for more of Leslie's billionaire books!

I’ve read three Leslie North books now and they mostly concentrate on just two characters, the couple in the romance.
It’s Christmas Eve, Brea is on her way to spend Christmas with her parents, but she doesn’t really want to.
Brea’s car breaks down in a snow storm, she leaves it in hope of finding refuge. She’s soaked, freezing and worn out when she tumbles through the door of billionaire George Clark’s simple cabin.
George hasn’t spent Christmas with his family for five years.
Having to stay the night, after an unfriendly welcome from George, Brea settles down in front of the fire and they both end up talking about their families, their feelings and their issues. This changes both of them and alone they find the courage to face their families and clear the air.
But going their separate ways is not what they both want, and neither will say… until.
There’s a HEA It’s a good read.

This was a quick fun read. It is also another lesson in don't judge a book by its cover. Brea ends up on George's door step on Christmas Eve when her car goes into the ditch. He thinks she looks like a frumpy librarian and she thinks he looks like a vapid billionaire playboy. George begrudgingly invites her in out of the cold. They immediately clash. However, as the night wears on these two lonely souls discover they have lots in common and lots of chemistry. When they part they both have things to work on with their family. Fortunately, the chemistry is enough to draw George back to her.

George Finds Love When Brea Turns Up

Desperate for a safe haven when a snowstorm puts her junker car into a ditch, Brea hikes along the rural highway until she finds someone home. You got it. This is my favorite trope. Snowbound together.

Finding a cabin, she is surprised when tabloid playboy & billionaire George Clark answers the door. He's even hotter in person. Its obvious she can't go anywhere. He finds her uniquely pleasant and real.

Leslie North gives a unique spin to the two strangers falling in love when they're trapped in a cabin story. This quick story was fun to read.

The publisher put this audiobook on YouTube. That’s where I got it from
The book itself was okay. Leslie North seems to have a formula she follows. Just change out the by e names and a few details and BAM you’ve got a book.
I have read a few of her books so I knew what to expect.
What i didn’t expect was the narration. It was SO bad I thought it was a joke for a minute. There was a part at the beginning where she is freezing cold so she stutters from her teeth chattering. Instead of saying p…p…please he pronounced the sound off the letters. Like pee, pee, please. Seriously? No wonder it was free. Honestly for the audiobook version 1 star is being generous.

Delightful Holiday-themed Storyline!
You can never go wrong reading a Leslie North Story throughout the year and this Christmas story is just the perfect way to end it. Brea and George’s story is wonderfully romantic with just a little bit of spice, some family shenanigans to add drama, and a black Lab to humanize a character…all being presented to the reader on Christmas Eve and Day.
I’m wholeheartedly recommending this book for your holiday (or anytime) reading enjoyment. PEACE.

I enjoyed Brea and George's story, I like that neither of them was looking to start a relationship, she was just trying to get to her family whilst he just want his solitude.

But thanks to car trouble, a snow storm and his house being the closest port in the storm they met and both had to rethink what they wanted out of their lives.

He thought he was good on his own and wasn't looking for love. She wasn't sure what she was looking for. When fate brought them together they found something that couldn't be denied.

3 1/2 stars. I wanted to like this story between Brea and George. Each person was dealing with some personal baggage when they met unexpectedly and were forced to spend time together in the middle of a winter storm. As they started talking, they were able to put down their defenses. However, the dialogue dragged in some places.

I'm also adjusting to stories where it shifts voices from 3rd to 1st person. This writing style appears to be gaining popularity, and I'm not sure I like it.

Thawing his heart

Snowed In with the Billionaire is another wonderfully entertaining book by Leslie North. This version has been revised and updated from the original version, which I never read so I cannot compare them. But I really enjoyed this sweet, romantic and smexy hot story about Brea Nelson and George Clark. I will say that at times I wanted to kick George's butt but then he would thaw my attitude. I loved Brea the whole way through and was happy when she and George finally found their HEA.

Brea is on her way to see her family Christmas, even though she dreads the thought of it. Then trouble strikes. Caught in a snowdrift. With no choice, Brea leaves her car and trudges to the first house she can find. The door opens and there is the mysterious billionaire who is all over the news, George Clark. An attempt was made on his life this morning and he is in hiding in his amazing cabin. Unwilling to interact with anyone, he lets Brea in. They have a wonderful night together and each of them wonders if they will ever see each other again.

These two know how to rile each other up. They are made for each other. She gets stranded after running her car of the road during a snow storm and walks to the nearest house. He is in hiding from a recent attempt on his life. So when she knocks on his door he is suspicious. They discover things about themselves through each other. I liked the story and the ending.

Snowed in with the right one

Brea ended up stranded trying to go home and ended up in a place owned by George. Her judgment is strong toward him but the more they get to know each other the more she realizes that she was wrong. The snow storm keeps blowing and Brea and George continue to get to know each other in more than one way

I do believe in love in first sight or even within a very short time, so Brea and George's story is super sweet. I listened to the YouTube audio version that sounded like a computerized voice. Lol. Thankfully, that didn't ruin my enjoyment of the story!!!
