Returning home for the holidays after fifteen years is difficult enough without getting stuck in the snow.
When my best friend calls her brother to help, things take a turn from very frustrating to very complicated. I haven’t seen Gabe Rhodes since I was younger. He’s a little grumpier than I remember, and way hotter too.
He offers me shelter from the storm—the only problem…one bed.
Gabe
I would do anything for my sister, including rescue her friend after a long workday. However, the woman I find stranded in the snow is not the Blair O'Connor I remember.
She’s all grown up and I can’t look away from her gorgeous green eyes. The chemistry between us is electrifying. I bring her home to wait for the roads to clear— but it’s my head I need to clear. I tell myself to keep my hands to myself, she’s just passing through.
I was the perfect gentleman…until she comes walking down the stairs in the middle of the night wearing my shirt.
Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.
Ohhh... An interesting and with bits of spice kinda Prequel. This one has perfectly set me up for Blair and Gabe's upcoming book for sure.
Blair happens to be a day early to surprise her bestie and ends up getting stranded in the cold weather.
Gabe comes to the rescue and we see two strangers who might have a common connection to them but practically strangers now, something happens that's so unprecedented and their unknown chemistry that comes to life leaves many questions left answered.
I so can't wait to find out if Blair and Gabe ever come together and what happens between them. 😍
Blair wanted to surprise her best friend by getting to her hometown a day early but that went downhill when she got stuck in the snow and her BFF wasn’t even home. So, Hallie’s nerdy older brother to rescue! He is definitely not the boy she last saw, he was all man. Shocked the snow isn’t melting around him. This story is short but the sexual tension is there and so are the kisses and even more. I. Want. More. And I know Lacey always delivers!
Gabe's sister calls him to get her best friend out of a snow drift two days before Christmas. He runs out to get her on a snowmobile. She is shocked, but finds out its the only way to get out of the cold and snow. He shows her the elaberate bathroom and she can't resist taking a long, soothing bath in the Jacuzzi tub. After being put out of his bedroom because he was a gentleman and he takes the livingroom sofa. She can't sleep and comes down for a glass of milk, She takes a seat beside him on the sofa and neither of them can resist. They come together and before long, they are naked and joined together in a torrid bout of lovemaking. Not much as far as descriptions, but the storyline was pretty good.

I really enjoyed this beginning to Blaire and Gabe’s best friend’s brother romance. This prequel does not get us to their HEA, it is just a snowstorm, stuck car, forced proximity one night stand. As long as you understand that, you’ll enjoy the story. Since this is a prequel to the Pine Village series, we get some background on Blaire and Gabe, witness the beginning of their love story, and get a small tease about secondary characters. Despite being short, the prequel was well written and included three dimensional characters, and an engaging storyline. I am going to read the rest of their story in book one because I am hooked in now. 3.75 stars
Love this book. Such an amazing prequel to Gabe and Blair’s romance story. Blair is in town to visit her best friend which happens to be Gabe’s sister, Hallie. Blair decided to surprise Hallie in coming a day early. The day she decided to come happens to be during a snow storm. Blair ends up getting stuck. She calls Hallie and Hallie sends Gabe to rescue Blair. Blair ends up spending the night at Gabe. Love this short story of Gabe and Blair. Their story continues in “Pretty Incredible.” Worth the read.
Excited about spending the holidays with her best friend and her family she decides to embark a little early however the one thing she hadn’t checked was the weather. She now finds herself stranded on the side of the road and is rescued by her best friend’s brother Gabe.
From the moment they meet the sparks fly but since this is an introduction to their story I am looking forward to see if their night together was a beginning or an end.
This was a beginning of a series and I must say it makes me want to read the rest of the books in the series! A young woman heads for her hometown in Wisconsin on December 23rd and she gets stuck in a heavy snow! And the one who can come to rescue her is her best friend’s brother! Well, things progress and you have a romance!
I would recommend this to anyone who likes romance!
I received this free but, that didn’t influence my review!
Great prequel that has me dying to get my hands on the rest of their book! Blair decides to surprise her best friend Hallie by returning home a day early. However the weather has other plans. Stranded on the side of the road she calls Hallie who then calls her brother Gabe to rescue her. One incredible night together snd Gabe isn’t ready to say goodbye. Can’t wait to see where it goes next!
OK now that's the way to prepare us for what I'm sure will be another great book. I have a feeling these two are about to make a mess of things and I'm here to see how it will all unfold. Running to start Pretty Incredible right now!!

Pretty Remarkable is a "whet-your-whistle" little story to introduce Blair and Gabe, who are nothing short of AWESOME!!! Even in this short story, you have the feeling of soooooo much more story to come....I'm so glad that Ms. Black decided to continue their story because....it's Pretty Incredible! ;)
I grabbed this book of Amazon when the author shared it was free.
Honestly if you haven't read a Lacy book, I wanna know why? But anyway. This is a great short introduction to her writing and the characters of the novella series starter. You get a great look at her style and character building for the series.
I loved it and jumped into the full book right away.
This is a fun, entertaining prequel. It’s a good introduction to the A Pine Village Series and the first couple Gabe and Blair. Black packs a lot into less than 40 pages. This story has done it’s job for me as now I want to read more books in this series and find out how Gabe and Blair’s story plays out. The books is easy to get into and read.
2.5⭐️ | Don't know how i feel about it yet, it's not like i hated it but I didn't love it either, it's just kinda there🤣 Will probably read the next one out of curiosity and bc I like to indulge myself on cringe worthy stuff sometimes😭😭😭😭
There's not really anything to make out of this one, it was kinda bland, pretty short and for a prequel it didn't tell much about the characters...
When Blair tries to surprise her best friend and gets stuck in the snow, her best friend’s brother Gabe comes to her rescue. This prequel novella is the perfect teaser for what’s to come for Blair and Gabe in Pretty Incredible.
Pretty Remarkable is a cute hot introduction to Gabe and Blair. You need to see what happens when you get stuck in a snow storm. Blair and Gabe have this growing spark that I cannot wait to read their full story right now.
I read this story out of order. Reading Pretty Incredible 1st didn't leave me confused, but it did make me feel like I was missing something. This little gem is just right.
This was a really cute best friend’s brother romance. It was a really short story and it was really only an appetizer for that’s to come and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what’s next.
A quick prequel for the next book, pretty incredible. I originally started pretty incredible first but got confused so decided to pause that and read this book 0.5 for context.
Nothing much to say about this prequel. It has only a few chapters. Sex scene seemed a bit short.
I read this prequel after having red the first book in the series. I kind of expected a bit more, from what was said in the next book. But still, it was nice, a good little scene to set up for the rest of their story.
I absolutely love this couple and these characters. Gabe is so hot. He and Blair are an amazingly hot match. Their chemistry is off the charts hot. I can't wait to read their story.
