mystic

I’ve enjoyed the first three books of this series. The characters are great as well as the storyline. The good people are the best and the bad guys aren’t just bad their insane.

Great read in more ways than one.

The story is incredibly compelling and entertaining. The main character navigates loss and grief fumbling through life to finally arrive at a place where she is happy and her spirit complete. I believe this book was out in my way not by coincidence, it came at a time when like Bethany I was trying to grief for what i though was an incomplete life. Thanks to Phoebe Ravencraft for helping me to let go of old grievances, for giving me the tools to really see myself and accept and embrace life as the wonderful gift it is.

The series should have been one book

I liked this story but the never ending repetitiveness was awful! You'd have done much better making this one book! Also, whomever did your proofreading wasn't very good. There's many misspelled and misused words.
I may look to read more of your work but ill never read another series of yours.

Good

I'm very satisfied with this book. I think someone that appreciates music and the esoteric would be thrilled with this series. For me though it was a good story and I liked the characters and the ending.

3.5, actually

There are still a bunch of errors, mostly in punctuation. (Seriously. What is it with the commas?) And Bethany, despite being less cynical and moody in this book, is still not particularly likeable. Maybe with all the chakras aligned she would be better, but that is up for speculation.

This was better than the second book but not quite as good as the first. If it weren't for the mechanical errors and the mildly unlikable main character, this would have been an easy 4 stars. The story itself is good, most of the other characters are good (I'm particularly fond of Lucius), the imagination and creativity are evident, and I really do appreciate a middle-aged protagonist.

Phoebe Ravencraft's world-building skills are first-class. So much so, that when Bethany Parker discovered the restaurant she'd booked actually existed on another plane, my first thought was "Of course it does"...

By now, in the third and final book of the series, we are immersed in the world of Enchantment, Ohio. The small town is chockful of magical creatures, and Bethany's working assumption has been that her newly awakened powers drew her to it. It turns out she's wrong. An immensely powerful evil god wants her to unchain him. She risks death if she doesn't, versus death if she does. What's a girl to do?

Gripping, entertaining and snarky, the trilogy races to an exciting finish, with the future of mankind in the balance.

Aside from the scattered typos, and missing/moving quotation marks, this was the best of the 3 in this series. The use of music rings very true, as I am also a musician and have experienced life-changing events through music (no magic, unfortunately). Bethany is more of an adult in this story, taking more responsibility for her own behavior (I mean, who would want this angry, swearing woman for a mother?!!). She has found a few friends who can see her worth, and maybe she can rise above her ego now and let go of the guilt of not being able to control all the people around her in the past.

I mostly really liked this series. I loved the story and the characters and I appreciated the theme of dealing with grief and emotions. It was a fun read. The only problems I had with it were that 1: there were a ton of typos, which I found extremely annoying. Not sure if it was just a kindle glitch or bad editing, but it took away some enjoyment. 2: there were a few times where something was completely obvious but the main character was oblivious to them, then shocked when she finally figured them out. She shouldn’t have been so ignorant to these things. Otherwise, I loved it.

Just finished all three books.

I enjoyed them all, a troubling start for Bethany but after losing her way on the Highway she actually finds her way in life, finds new friends and makes old enemies but after finding her true self she realises she that she in charge of her own destiny.

Exceptionally strange

I admit that I have read quite a few odd, even strange, books in my life, but seldom have I come across a series as strange as this one. And yet, I loved it. It hit just the right chord with me and I was sad when I finished it and realized that there was no more Bethany. I'll miss her, greatly.

Really Good Series

There was a great wrap up on the series. I am sad because I wish there was more, but I am happy we got a complete and satisfying ending. I loved how the author paired tarot reading and clearing your chakras in order for the heroine to fully develop her mystic abilities. A great deal was at stake, both regarding the evil that was prisoner in the house plus her own personal trauma with her prior step children. This was a very satisfying book.

I loved it! I don't know if there will be more to come along to add to the story, but I would sure grab them if there were! It had the amount of what's next? & magic mixed together to keep me glued to it. I will reread these again, probably several times.

Great enjoyment.

I really enjoyed reading these books and while I was at it, I looked some of the songs I read about and got enjoyment from them. I would never had heard about them, if they were not mentioned. Thank you the great books and the great music.

Intriguing and absorbing

This story completed the trilogy and brings it to a very satisfactory conclusion. Except of course I am never satisfied and would love more stories about these characters
