This one’s been sitting in my library for a long time,and i decided it was time to read it.
It may be short,but it’s a good introduction to the series,and since i have the second story,Diamond as well, i think i’m going to check that one out,too….
Victoria was tired of her mother trying to get her to marry her cheating asshole ex Curtis,and was happy she’d be in Sicily for the summer.
She’d been accepted as intern at an event planning business,and secretly hoped they’d offer her a job. What she didn’t count on was meeting Guiseppe,Matteo DiStefano’s second,though….
He took her breath away from the moment they met at the party she’d helped organize for Matteo.
But there was something bad going on in the background…..enemies were trying to take out Matteo before he took control of the family business.
Would she become collateral damage? Would the family believe she had something to do with it?
And what about the man she’d started to care about in the short period they’d known eachother??
As i said,a quick introduction that i enjoyed.

A great start to the Dangerous Gems series.
We got insta love, danger, intrigue and mafiosa
all in this novella sized book. It was very interesting
and enjoyable right from the start.
I look forward to reading Diamond, the next book in
the series.

Great Mafia Romance
I really love a good Mafia Romance story and this is one of those. In this particular book we have a young woman who is interning with an event planner she gets involved with a Capo. There is really nice HEA at the end and some steamy scenes before the end. I recommend this book to everyone who likes Mafia Romance.

Victoria travels to Sicily for an internship as a party planner. At her first big job, she meets Giuseppe, Capo for the DiStefano family. It is love at first sight. Giuseppe claims her as his own, and will never let her go.
A quick and passionate love story, Amethyst is an easy read. Victoria really has no idea what she is getting herself into with Giuseppe. The world Ms. Clark has created is a good foundation for the rest of the series. Recommended for Mafia romance lovers and Lesley Clark fans!

A tempting teaser! This short prequel is a perfect introduction to the DiStefano mafia family.

Victoria is a sassy Event Planner who meets a Mafia Capo, Giuseppe, while in Sicily. The chemistry them is automatic and genuine. It is absolutely impossible to put this book down, the attraction between these characters is just that intense. Lesley Clark really showed what she’s made of and what an amazing author she is when she penned this little gem!

This was under 100 pages but it really didn’t feel that way. There is so much packed into this! I loved it so much. Victoria is chasing her dream and spreading her wings when she meets Giuseppe. Despite being warned against seeing him, they both have an undeniable attraction. I loved Giuseppe’s character a lot! Such a great read!

Read this story as a fantasy and you'll thoroughly enjoy it. Insta-love stories need to be given a lot of leeway.
Big kudos for the absolutely clean writing completely without proofreading typos. I only found 2 plot holes. My first book by this author, I love her writing style and I'll look for more from her.

Great read!! I didn’t like how fast everything moved but I love how Victoria met her man and how they went home together that night. I hate that her boss was involved in betraying the family and that she tried to use Victoria to help her. I love that they gave her an option as to leave or be killed. I love that they get married and that they are happy together.

This is a great little story. I love how Giuseppe was so protective of Victoria. He even stood up to the family. When he went to fetch her back and showed up at her family home. The surprise was fabulous.

Fun fast read!
The characters all were very real. The book just had me till I finished it. I couldn’t put it down. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of this family in the book.

Tis book it was very pleasant to read! I melt after the stories with possessive men, who know what they want and do everything in their power to get and conquer the woman they love.

This has potential to be so much better. There was so much going on and no explanation for anything. It was chaos and lacked detail. This could have been great as a full novel with the full story but as a novella it was just not good. I almost DNF it but powered through because it was a short story

Quick steamy read. I loved Victoria's feistiness and her southern belle charm. Giuseppe was everything you could want in a hot Italian capo. Fast past with a couple of steamy scenes.

A wonderful little beginning for this new series "Dangerous Gems". If you like mafia romance, then be sure to get Giuseppe and Victoria's story of how they got together!! Insta-love, hot sexy scenes and a bit of danger and mystery involved. Loved it!!!
