He’s so out of my league. ~ Katie
It was for my own good. Help I didn’t want, but desperately needed. I was too young to close myself off from life, wrapped in depression, clinging to a wine bottle. Go to work, go home. Drink. Repeat. So a few weeks of immersive group therapy was what my counselor strongly suggested. A summer help-camp, if you will. Sure, okay. Whatever. Now here I am, the anti-social wino in a social experiment. I’ve made one friend–and one enemy. And then there’s him… I can’t stop the attraction I feel toward him, even though I don’t stand a chance. He’s a movie star, for pete’s sake! A movie star who apparently is as drawn to me as I am to him…
She’s too good for me. ~ Grayson
I don’t want to be here. Court-ordered therapy. Yeah, so I’ve made some (public) mistakes. I’m just here to do my time and then back to Hollywood. The last thing I want is to be the main attraction at the nuthouse, but the stares and whispers and giggling flirtations start the minute I walk in. All except her. I’m not sure she even knows who I am. It’s the most refreshing, liberating… real , thing I’ve felt in years. And the more time I spend with her, the more I realize what I’ve been missing in my life. It’s like she was made for me. Yet, I don’t deserve her. And there’s something odd going on here. I don’t even know how to explain it, but it’s like a vice is tightening around us. Like we’re all chess pieces in a game we weren’t aware of. I’ll be glad when we can leave this ‘experiment’…
The Experiment is the first book I've read by this author. She has managed to capture my interest and she held it all the way to the end.
The writing style is really nice, fresh, flowy. It was the first thing I was amazed by.
I loved Katie and Grayson! Katie even more so, she felt real, broken, but strong; therefore she acted cautious and mature. Greyson was also very charming. Poor guy was being shadowed by drama too many times. I loved watching as their story grew more and more intertwined. Until they just couldn't avoid what they felt for each other. What's more, I loved the personality of side characters.
The ending cracked my heart wide open.
The Experiment was real, smartly paced, and at times highly amusing.
This new author hit this book out of the park for me. It made me think. It made me feel! So many emotions! How many times does a book make you wonder where it is going. So much so, you keep turning the pages to find out. This book does have a cliff hanger. I was left on the precipice, I almost fell off. I really need to know what happens next... From a New Fan... Pam James.

Review: What happens when a depressed young woman, meets a problematic young actor? Katie has been sent to a group therapy, for if not she is close to losing herself to her sadness that deepens with every passing day. To prevent this and her shutting herself completely off to the society, she takes this trip down to a summer camp therapy, where she comes across Grayson who is a movie star and also who Katie is attracted to despite herself. His star studded life has supposedly been to much for his head and has lead him to make some terrible mistakes. He needs a reality check, to connect with the ground again, however, fame has got to him and he thinks that he's too good for therapy. Therefore it comes as a surprise when he feels this undeniable pull of attraction towards this young girl, who is part of what he calls a nuthouse. Where will this mutual attraction lead the two?
This book is very well written romance about two young people who have their own set of problems to deal with. While one is somewhat aware of the situation, the other is in complete denial. It's interesting to see how their relationship helps them to heal together and grow as people. The book is a part of an incomplete series and leaves the readers at an exciting cliffhanger. I for one can't wait to find what happens next.
The book is beautifully written in the perspectives of the two lead characters and let the readers know both of their point of views. It's really exciting to see the story of the two build as the characters themselves develop further and break out of their shells. I am sure the readers will find the book just as thrilling and captivating as I did and they too will be eager to get their hands on the next part as soon as possible.
This book is a total mind bender. A psychological experiment that will have you questioning everything. The characters are fully fleshed, and you will recognize the types. Katie and Grayson are adorable. I can’t wait for the next installment.
This book is amazing and hooks you from the beginning. I love the characters both main and a few of the others within the story. It was hard to put down at times...can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Love, love and love! It had everything a romance novel should have, sass, spice and me wanting more. I love the characters! All worked well together and had their own uniqueness to the story. Love the whole experiment idea! Very original! There was a touch a comedy between each charcter and a sense of realness. I felt like I was at the experiment sitting at a table with each of them. Brilliantly written! Must read!
So, so GOOD!!! Love Katie! She is such a great character. She is so positive even though she has been through so much. Mags is just so cute and sheltered. Grayson's character I absolutely adore. Just because you are married doesn't mean you love them. He learns that. Couldn't out it down. Now waiting for book 2!
This book was great! I had just finished reading a high fantasy, heavy world building series and was looking for a good romance to read next. This one quite literally fell into my lap (but, really, set gently into my hands...). The slow burn was
