Flowers of the Quantocks: Childhood Memories

Rate this book
Last night I dreamt of Woodlands .... this has been a reoccurring dream all my life, a place of childhood memories where it is always summer. Long days exploring the countryside full of flowers and magic, lost in time itself between the hills, and fields down to the Jurassic shoreline of Somerset.

This book takes you through Kim's early childhood with memories and snippets of history about the places she lived in, the family moved houses several times in Somerset until they finally settled in the Midlands. It is written in memory of Kim's dearest Mother who loved her gardens full of roses and to her Grandfather whom they visited for many holidays. He was always so interested in the local history of a place and encouraged Kim to learn about the places where she lived.

Kim lived in the small villages close to the Bristol Channel, West of Bridgwater and below the Quantock hills. She was close to the shoreline of the Jurassic Coast.

It is a prequel to Mystical Flower Guardians - Gaia's Healing Garden, an Amazon Best Seller.

Kim is a mystic, medium, and channeller who has written a book about flower healing with meditations and a deep connection to each flower's unique spirit guardian.

"It was as if most of my childhood was spent out of doors, in the garden, over the fields, in the woods, wherever I lived it was the outdoors I loved. I have so few memories of the indoor places or the rooms and so many of the outside places. Of flower beds, trees, collecting conkers in the woods and pinecones, pinching pea pods, and trying to boil potatoes in our den."

We begin in our childhood to see the magic and mystery at every turn,
We see the castle ruins and fossils with the wonder of what has come before.
In everyone's life,
There is a being
And this is mine
A childhood surrounded by nature
At every turn.

If you love Somerset just as Kim does you will love this book about the villages full of history, tradition and most of all wildflowers at every turn.
