A fitting and exciting conclusion to the series! It was a thrill a minute, literally! So tense, events sweeping from one disastrous event to the next, it felt like being on a rollercoaster with no means of getting off! I was on a high, finally being released at the end of the book, as the adrenaline eased back, a a cheesy grin spread over my face.
Being an Alpha is tough! Not only does an Alpha have the responsibility of looking after the needs of their pack, the need to protect them, a newby Alpha, like Bailey, has Alpha rage to contend with too, irrational and hard to suppress. On top of all that, Vampires are still targeting the Wolves, the question is why... the true culprit is not who they thought and suspicious is the order of the day.
A dreadful act and a horrific secret comes out and the pieces suddenly fell into place! An uneasy understanding ensues but suspicion of motives is hard to overcome. Vampires, Wolves and even Witches enter into the mix for some really explosive scenes. Amber was an interesting surprise, loved her supposed nonchalant attitude, hell, I loved her attitude full stop!
The Yosemite wolves and the Yellowstone wolves are struggling to integrate, the females are still fearful of any males but it's heartening to see how resilient and determined the females are to be stronger.
I really really like Bex! Talk about a 360 turnaround! Amazing, supportive and encouraging, so great. Just goes to show, given the right circumstances, support and info, redemption is possible.
Just when I thought, ok, they've got this, they now know the Vampires aren't entirely to blame, a snowballing eruption of events, occurring one after the other was totally unexpected! With a twist or two or three.... Superb!
