The Magnolia Inn If my mother thought that restoring the run down family inn would break me, she was wrong. The hardest part of falling in love with the small town of Magnolia and my grumpy handyman is knowing at some point, I'm going to have to sell the inn and leave. Maggie My ex-husband left me for my best friend. I’m 36, unemployed, and about to be evicted. My only option is to ask my estranged mother for help. She offers me a fix up the run down family inn on the small island of Magnolia and any of the proceeds I can make off the sale, will be mine to invest. Determined to start believing in myself, I roll into town with an unhealthy amount of optimism. The only person who is going to stop me, is me. That is, until I meet my grumpy handyman. He has more walls built up around his heart than the three story inn I’m restoring, but I’m determined to break them down. Even if he’s determined to stop me. Clementine I meant to leave Magnolia at some point in my life. With a full ride scholarship to Juilliard, my dream was to dance. But Dad got sick and I needed to stay to run the local hardware store. Plus, there’s no way I can rely on my older brother, Archer, who can’t outrun the ghosts of his past. When Maggie blows into town, I can’t help but feel inspired by her desire to reinvent herself and when she asks for the local handyman, it becomes the perfect opportunity to provide Archer with purpose and perhaps, a little bit of sunshine. As our friendship grows, I realize just how much I needed a sisterhood. And when I catch Archer smiling, I realize that he needed Maggie as well. I just hope that when the time comes to sell the inn, Maggie fights to stay, because I’m not sure we could handle the heartbreak if she leaves.
A Magnolia Kiss Two Rivals. A Proposed Bet. One Unforgettable Kiss
I'm just trying to survive. The gelato shop my grandmother left me is struggling and I can't help but feel like a failure for letting things get this bad. When the annual fishing tournament starts up in Magnolia, I'm determined to win.
My plan is perfect, until my rival shows up. Not only is he back in our hometown, but he's set up his fishing gear right next to me.
Despite my efforts to ignore him, I can't help but be roped into his ridiculous proposition. If I win, he'll leave and never come back. And if I lose?
A single kiss. A Magnolia Homecoming I’m ready to start living for me. I wasn’t ready to face my past... I wasn’t ready to face him. Clementine I’m just attempting to adjust to my new normal. With Archer moved out and Dad gone, I’ve never been this alone or this lost. On the spur of the moment, I decide to put in a bid on a vacant space next to the hardware store with the idea of opening a dance studio. If everyone is living their dream, why can’t I? Little did I know, Jake, my ex-boyfriend becomes my only competition. He’s back and once again, messing up my plans. Problem is, no matter how much I try to push him away, he doesn’t seem to want to go anywhere. Shari My marriage isn’t as perfect as everyone thinks it is. Sure, I have the perfect house with the white picket fence. The expected, 2.5 children who are perfectly imperfect. But something is going on with Craig. I can feel it. Smell it on his shirt when he comes home. Thankfully, my baby brother Jake is back home and looking to make Magnolia his permanent residence. Even though I don’t have to say anything, he seems to understand just what I need. Because my life is so close to breaking, and the last thing I need is to be alone.
Anne-Marie Meyer is a USA Today Bestselling author who lives south of the Twin Cities in MN. She spends her days with her knight in shining armor, four princes, and a baby princess.

Two and a half stars. I’ve discovered that a book ick of mine is instant best friends forever between adults. Such a fantasy. And the MMC has lost a daughter- the author doesn’t spend much time on his grief in a realistic way, so he comes across falsely. If you loved the Virgin River series, then this might be for you. 🤷
This was a book I saw on TikTok and really peaked my interest but when I read reviews, they didn’t sell it. I saw the book on hoopla and decided to go for it. It was a cute little audiobook! Nothing groundbreaking but a reliable romance.
I found myself a little confused with the POV transitions even though the chapters were titled by names. Other than that, it was a good story. I kind of like it when there is a character that I don't particularly like, not hate, just not like. Clementine, though I felt sorry for her situation having to deal with her father with Alzheimer's, something about her I just didn't like. I think I have to read book 2 in order to understand her better.
Maggie had an unfortunate relationship with her mother (awful mother it seems). But in the end once we heard everyone's background story, their family history, all was understood.
And the attraction between Maggie and Archer pulled at my heartstrings. Go for it! Do it! They both kept holding back. The attraction was palpable. I love this couple.
Family drama, romance, friendship. Love it!
Can't wait to read the whole 9 book series!! Oh boy!
Quick read.. felt like a hallmark movie big city girl Maggie .. going to magnolia island to work on families inn to bring it back up to put on the market. Strained relationship with blown by her mom . The book is in POV of clementine - Maggie’s new best friend and Maggie the main character. Clementines brother Archer is tasked to help Maggie work on the house to get it ready for sale. She restarted the red stiletto book club her grandmother started. Archer, He’s the local handyman. Like I said hallmark movie script. Enjoyed the quick read. Happy 📖 Reading
This book was so cutee. It was such an easy and Cozy read I really enjoyed it. At first I was a bit nervous I wouldn’t enjoy it but it ended up making me not want to put it down. This is a book that I feel like would make such a cute tv series. The characters are so likable and diverse, everyone has their own struggles and the author does a great job a of making you care about every single character in the book. Loved it!
2.5 ⭐️. This book was too convenient….not at all realistic! Throughout the book, these blah characters move about their relationships and events with such ease and it all ends with a neat tidy bow. Boring. The author could’ve stood to develop the characters more and make things a little more difficult to accomplish before just ending the book! And here I thought MY life was boring!
I'd say this book was a quick afternoon read. The storyline was soft and sweet. The characters were easy to relate to, but by the time the story finally got developed, it was over. Still a nice easy, clean read.
This was a cute little sort of romance book. No spice in it really but a lot of relationship mending. Was a nice what I would refer to as a palette cleanser. The writing was good, story was easy to follow, characters were likeable. Not really my normal type of book but I would probably recommend it to my mom.
I'm giving this a 2.5 star review. took me FOREVER to finish it. This book just could not keep my attention for long, i just had to continue putting it down
It felt rushed at the end. The characters and story were not strong enough to grab you and suck you in. I even put the book down for a month partway way through to read something else. I definitely am not in a rush to read the next one.
First time I a boom by Anne, i truly enjoyed. Loved the characters, interesting story line and very engaging to follow. Will definitely read more books written by Anne!
Beautiful and heartwarming. I love the small town feel and how close the ladies in this book are. Maggie is a sensational character and I loved watching her growth.
