The Hell’s Crafters are on a roll! Ren and his friends have just opened up an item shop to great success, yet not everything goes quite as planned for the scrappy four-man guild. When a princess gets kidnapped while stopping by, it’s up to them–along with a couple of surprising additions to the team–to solve the case!

After that, there’s a competitive guild mission to train up a hero...and you can bet this party is going to choose the absolute weakest NPC possible! It’s time to redefine the meta once again!

The author brings about a change in his typical VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) isekai-fantasy (playing a game in another world) novel series. The "atypical" change is Kokoru a "chicken-folk-NPC" (Non Player Character) than Ren, main character and his all female-passive-retinue-harem are trying to help out in this third volume. Passive harem in the sense, that the main character does not get physically-emotionally involved with members of his game-team. Although, Akira will probably have "feelings" for Ren by the end of this third volume.
This third volume has 170+ pages, with 8 chapters and an extra story (side story). With 20+ pages per chapter on average which usually means that the author writes enough in each chapter to develop the characters and world around them. Shorter chapters usually mean journal type stories.
In this third volume, the author changes the point of view (first person narrative) from Ren to Akira without much warning. Although it is done, in a side story, so it is not all bad.
So far, there are 4 volumes translated to English by Sol Publishing, and 6 volumes in Japanese. The sixth volume was published on February of 2019. I do not know if the series was concluded or abandoned, but six volumes seems to have been its end.

So good

That ending got to me. I can't believe after all that work and it ended that way. I have to jump into the next book.
